### "A solid remote access option while others get worse. "

December 30, 2025

5.0

I came into a team that was using a single Parsec account to manage multiple systems which is not a good place to be in. In a previous job I had done a similar deployment with Teamviewer only today to find out they have really dropped the ball. Splashtop hit the budget value and the feature requirements and it was easy to get rolling. My team from technicians to salespeople was able to "figure it out" quickly and now they wonder what we'd do without it.

Pros

Obviously it works. The connections are fast, plenty of options (that actually work, turning the speed option on actually makes a difference on a slow connection). So far support has been fine but a good note from me is I haven't needed to reach out to support all that much, things work. The management system is also straightforward, was able to get up and running quickly. Also the price is good value and something I did like about the company is they simply don't offer a "free" option thus sidestepping the ability for scammers to use the system. Oh and they also really only do remote access and not a dozen other things. They seem focused on core business and I appreciate that.

Cons

The deployment system is a little sparse, only a few options. Also would prefer is SSO was not gate-kept behind the Enterprise version. The biggest issue I had was just buying the thing, the purchase page is a little confusing with different options that overlap but makes you feel like you need more than you do.

### "Simple, Cost Effective Remote Tool"

August 11, 2026

4.0

It is an excellent backup remote utility to my main Remote Access app. It is simple to use and teach new techs.

Pros

Splashtop's main draw for MSP work is cost-effective, fast remote access: it delivers comparable core remote access to competitors like TeamViewer at a lower price with concurrent-technician licensing, which usually wins for cost-conscious MSPs, and it offers high-definition video and audio streaming, cross-platform compatibility across Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android, and unattended access that lets technicians connect without end-user approval. It's also built for compliance-sensitive environments, with TLS and 256-bit AES encryption plus HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, and SOC 2 compliance, and integrates with PSA/ticketing tools like Zendesk, Freshdesk, ServiceNow, and Autotask — though it's worth noting it's remote access/support only and would need to sit alongside separate patching, monitoring, and ticketing tools rather than replace them.

Cons

The main drawbacks: it's scope-limited — it handles remote control only, not ticketing, patching, or monitoring, so it works as one piece of a larger stack rather than a full RMM replacement. On the technical side, reviewers note limited compatibility with Linux devices, which reduces usefulness in Linux-heavy environments, and file transfer speeds that lag behind other remote support tools, slowing workflows. Billing can also be a friction point — Remote Access plans (Solo, Pro, Performance) require annual prepayment only, with monthly billing available solely on the Remote Support (SOS) plans.

### "Splashtop became Crashtop"

December 20, 2025

2.0

It was fairly wonderful upon initial implementation (after GoToAssist after being railroaded into GoToRemote and telling us they were sunsetting the product) then it went from good to bad to worse after update iterations. In the last month it has become nearly unusable by a many of us. It would either not connect unless you are patient to wait a few minutes, close it, start it, and repeat the process between 2 to 6 times. Then after a little while of using, it would become unresponsive or literally crash on you and close all existing session and you'd have to start all over again. A major source of frustration when you are under pressure to resolve issues remotely. Their support became bad with time.

Pros

It's easy to deploy. The interface is smooth. It has wonderful features. It's fairly easy to manage.

Cons

It's CPU intensive on both the client and technician device (so far the worse we've seen, higher than GoToAssist that is/was Java based). Since their latest update 3.8.0.1 it has gotten worse. It has become difficult to connect to a remote device (you get the circling, formerly hourglass, image going forever until you close the window and try another 2 to 6 times before connecting or giving up depending on the individual). It crashes so often that, internally, it has become known as Crashtop. Even after shelling out several thousands of dollars management has decided to eat their loss and move to another platform as they were facing a revolt by technicians claiming they would go on sick leave rather than having to use the tool. I'm sure, as you know, your mileage will vary. Here ==> it has been ostracized. Their support used to be decent but as of late it became rather useless. You'd get the get same canned answers as if you'd be corresponding with a chatbot more or less expecting this level of support.

### "Remote support ease and affordable"

May 26, 2026

5.0

my overall experienced can be summarized to more than 10 clients I have moved to use Splashtop instead of other platforms.

Pros

First think I like was the price, second, it's easy to instal, deploy and use. I'm able to assist my client in a heartbeat, easy connect, with a minimum of bugs or corruptions. Always update to ensure connectivity. If I have a question it's easy to receive support from Splastop team. I had never experienced connection issues while using this product.

Cons

I can't think of a cons for the time I have used this product. the only way it could be better is if it was free.

### "So happy I moved over to Splashtop!"

April 12, 2026

5.0

Great, it has never dropped me and it's simple to understand and easy to use. I find it very reliable indeed. Speed of connection is excellent.

Pros

Very easy to set up and use. No drops in service and stays connected very well. I have had no issues at all since joining Splashtop and it out performs my previous service incredibly. I am so happy I have this service and after 2 months of use I have no complaints!

Cons

I wish I could minimize the centered "top task bar" when connected because it obscures my ability to minimize or close windows when using a split screen.

### "No Fuss, Highly Customizable, Excellent Value!"

December 22, 2025

5.0

From the initial test drive to deployment, customer service has been wonderful and I was able to get this software out to all the devices in my organization without any issues. I am looking forward to utilizing the add-ons, especially the software updates.

Pros

My company loved the price, yet I love the capabilities. Its so easy to deploy, and the customization is wonderful. I am a very organized person and the computer management options are everything I need. This software checks all the boxes.

Cons

I would like to be able to switch screens on the device I am remoted into easier. There is only one button to switch and some of my customers have multiple monitors I need to flip through.

### "Great features and very reliable!"

July 31, 2025

Very reliable with minimal issues. It's difficult to recall a time when there was an outage for the product.

Pros

Better pricing model than the competitor we were using. The options available were also not as limitied.

Cons

### "Simple and clean "

December 26, 2025

5.0

Very pleasant - helps make my job a lot easier when a script doesn't cut it and when I won't be able to walk a client over the phone through a fix. Remoting in is a necessary tool for any IT provider but this remote tool specifically feels much cleaner and provides a smoother connection than others I have used - not as buggy and provides feedback when things go wrong.

Pros

Very simple to use, convenient tools that make it so I can perform remote IT effectively. The ability to swap between admin controls when things get serious and ease of management are the most valuable tools.

Cons

At the moment, the only complaint I would have is the way multiple monitors are handled. In Splashtop business I can setup a client with 3 monitors in 3 windows for easy use, but in the RMM app I have to swap between monitors one by one.

### "High quality remote access"

April 22, 2026

5.0

I'm extremely efficient, able to purchase and get using within a minute or two. I haven't had the need for a support request yet, however they do very good messaging around upcoming maintenance windows.

Pros

Very reliable. Consistent behavior. Excellent responsiveness on remote sessions. Identical experience across Mac and PC. Overall, a very high-quality product.

Cons

On occasion, if the remote device has been sleeping for a while, the initial connection by Splashtop may not allow input and require a refresh. A minor annoyance that one would only assume would be common with the complicated solution domain like this.

### "Extra Monitors, Reliability and Super Fair Pricing"

December 5, 2024

5.0

Super positive. When my outdated SSL VPN device went EOL and I was in need of a way to inexpensively access my office resources when working remotely, I demoed Splashtop and others and Splashtop just worked! The pricing is fair, and I have been super happy thus far.

Pros

I love the ability utilize an extra monitor when connecting remotely. My remote system has 2 monitors. My local system has 3, and using Splashtop I can take advantage of the extra monitor I have. I didn't know this was possible when I signed up, but it is the biggest perk I have found!

Cons

No true cons. If I had to find an issue it is that sometimes the video quality is a little subpar. It is intermittent, and it could be a config error. It hasn't bother me enough to really spend time diving into it.

### "Splashtop - My Favorite Unattended Remote Access Program"

October 18, 2024

5.0

The overall ease of installation and use is refreshing. The deployment package for Splashtop Streamer is easy to create and install, the UI is less cluttered because they're not trying to do too much. I wish there were a way to have the Splashtop Business app to start with Windows like the Streamer does, but honestly I can't say enough good things about Splashtop.

Pros

I switched to Splashtop from TeamViewer for unattended remote access, and I couldn't be happier. The price is hundreds of dollars cheaper per year, and the functionality and ease of use is comparable. Creating a deployment package was straightforward, and the SOS app for attended sessions is light and easy to have remote users run.

Cons

My only gripe is that there is a very slight delay in input to a remote computer compared to TeamViewer. It does not impede my work, and the price trade-off is worth the slight delay honestly.

September 23, 2024

I have been using this solution for my customers for the last 8 years. It was a switch from Logmein who (back then) was closing or changing price range dramatically. Splashtop as been my only solution from 2014 until this year.

Pros

### "Splashtop is great!"

July 26, 2023

5.0

I get to literally work from home! and I can prepare items for transfer to devices that I don't physically have access to like documents to the big copier/printer etc.

Pros

Splashtop is very critical to my success working remotely from home. Without Splashtop, I would have to commute to the building more than once a week. It is very user-friendly.

Cons

I recently experienced difficulty connecting with Splashtop using a laptop computer. I don't know if it was settings on the computer or just bad wifi. I was able to do the work using my phone so all was not lost and this is another of the features that is most handy... access using mobile devices, particularly cell phones.

### "Use Splashtop to Facilitate Remote Access, and Presentations"

June 3, 2023

5.0

I have a few computers that I have set up permanent remote access to. For these computers, I can initiate remote access in an unattended state, or without anyone's permission. This is very useful for computers I can administer remotely. I uses the SOS tool on an as-needed basis to do one time support sessions to help a user with a hardware or software problem. I also use the SOS tool to share my screen and present ideas, or show project progress.

Pros

Splashtop gives me the ability to take my computer expertise and use it to help others. It also gives me the ability to present ideas and to demonstrate designs without the need to meet in person. It allows a collaboration between all the information on both the sender's and the user's computers.

Cons

It can be challenging for the non-savvy computer user to download and install the SOS app. I usually have to walk them through the process. I don't see where this process could be simplified, I just see some of my clients struggle with it. I think it is a great security feature, forcing them to be fully involved in the decision making process of allowing remote access to their computer.

Reason for choosing Splashtop

Splashtop offered the features I was interested in with a licensing option that fit the proposed use of the product. It was a full features support program that had a small enough licensing package to work for my small business. I believe it pays for itself, even though I do not charge for the SOS service. I do bill clients for the time involved, and take into consideration the time and travel it saves, and the confidence it instills in my skill set and in my business services.

### "A great remote support tool!"

July 21, 2025

4.0

Overall, I appreciate splashtop and it's focus on building off of it's feature set that is somewhat different from it's competitors. I would recommend this to anyone who just needs something to connect to remote workstations.

Pros

Splashtop has some features over other competition that I greatly appreciate. Multiple monitor support, consideration for user sessions in an RDS environment, and a comprehensive toolkit make this a preferred remote support tool at my place of work.

Cons

Some connectivity lag and UI clutter makes this my secondary method of remote connection to client systems.

Splashtop was relatively easy to use for solving an internal network access issue with my employer and seemed easy enough for IT to set up

Pros

It was convenient for resolving connection issues between internal networks for employees to ease access

Cons

Splashtop was a little bit of a Learning Curve, and sometimes had connectivity hurdles/limited access

### "Splashtop - smooth remote access"

August 31, 2023

3.0

The business version also offers many advantages, it can be installed on any device without any additional cost. This allows me to provide support whether I'm in the office, at home, or on the go. Another feature I like about splashtop is that it allows multiple users to provide support simultaneously.

Pros

I have been using Splashtop for remote access for a long time and its connection is fast and covers all operating systems including mobile. With the increasing mode of remote work, we need unattended access to a variety of devices like servers and phones, and Splashtop does this very well. We even switched from other popular software purely for the cost advantage, it's cheap compared to the competition. A standout feature is the ability to brand the single login applet, allowing us to maintain brand consistency.

Cons

Although it works well with the tools it has, splashtop needs to add more functions that allow it to have a more dynamic connection, the UX needs improvement, the order of the menus needs a better order, sometimes it is difficult to find a function, another aspect What confuses is the name of its clints, instead of being a single installation for all the devices, you have to choose whether it is to manage or receive connections.

I would give my overall experience as Excellent. You solved a major issue of accessing my computers withoug having to move them all to one location.

Pros

The ability to print locally when I am accessing my computer remotely is the best feature by far.

Cons

There is nothing at the moment I would improvie upon. I have recommended Splashtop to several friends who have signed up.
