When another product for viewing and supporting remote customers or team members starting getting stupid on their pricing model, we went in search of a reliable replacement. After the 30 day eval period we signed up and never looked back. We are always evaluating software but have never found an alternative with the same value. We are very happy with .

Pros

I can have multiple staff use a single login. The price is in a range that as I add staff I can afford the additional license. I have a rescue link my my web site. The product is stable and consistent. I can remote support IoS and PC devices.

Cons

There is nothing I need that this product does not do.

### "Daily use for IT Support - Almost flawless"

My overall experience with is great. If I send them a question, which is rare due to the simplicity of the software, they answer very quickly. I have even called and gotten to talk to a real person that knows what they are talking about.

Pros

I have an advanced account, which means I can let my clients setup a free account, then I can give them access to their specific computer for their own home acess. I have used this for over 40 computers and users during the pandemic, and it has been one of the best things I have ever used. These people have multiple monitors at work, and I setup their home computers to match, so they can actually use a 3 monitor system at home that mirrors their work computers. And....I can remote their computers at the same time that they are if they need help, and they can see what I am showing them. I can also do random drop ins and see what they are doing, if they are working, etc. I can split up by different clients and the user interface to do this is simple. I will definitely be using this software for years to come if they don't update it and mess me up. The SOS will let me see iPad and iPhone screens and talk on the phone with the users to help them get through problems on their devices. Pretty simple.

Cons

What I like least is the fact that Apple will not let SOS control and iPad or iPhone instead of just seeing what the user is doing.

Reason for choosing Splashtop

Pricing, simplicity of deployment for different customers. Isolating customers and users by groups. Not having to have a password key app to even access the software. uses 2 layer authentication and it is fine, as I get an email of every connection, I get logs of when the software is used, everything I need to complete my audits.

### "Pretty good but needs some work"

Pretty good overall but often machines are not accessible from mobile even when the Streamer is running, it throws unavailability errors. If the streamer or application is not up to date often they simply do not connect to one another.

Pros

The ability to wake up, restart, and update the agent remotely from the admin panel.

Cons

Clunky to install, maintain, Interface needs an update. Different product line makes it unnecessarily confusing. SOS , Business, etc.

I was a former user of GoToMyPC. Always had problems with not being able to connect. I found and decided to give it a try. I am totally happy with Splashtop and have no desire to look for anything else. It does everything that I need it to do and is so easy to use. Thanks Splashtop for a great product!

Pros

Easy to use for remote computer work, programming, and audio file transfers. I have used from all over the world with very few complications. Usually, the complications are from a lack of service from my remote locations.

Cons

I can’t think of anything I don’t like. does everything I need it to do.

Business Access Pro allows me peace of mind that I can always access my main computer or help clients remotely. One click and it's like I'm sitting right there in my office or theirs. It was easy to install. Email support was fast and helpful. And you can't beat the price compared to services like Teamviewer and LogMeIn. Much better quality of view and no lag like on RemotePC.

Easy to install and use. Keep multi-monitor settings and permissions so one click and you're ready to go. No fussing no sliding screens around. Keystroke to screen movement is real-time with no hesitation. Full screen and resolution settings allow a clear view of remote computer screens

### "An excellent alternative to the big names"

Its been a solid program from the beginning. I did try out the virus protection for a while but I cancelled it due to it being too limited. I did stick with BitDefender but with my own gravityzone account.

Pros

I think the overall speed of the program is its best feature. Once you have the client installed on the remove machine, connecting and working on a remote computer is quick. I've never had a connection drop and I am able to do everything i need to do.

Cons

The updates get a annoying. Its not that there are too many but I don't like when programs check for updates when starting the program. Id rather a visual prompt on the interface to let me know an update is available and I can then download and install at a more convenient time.

### "Great/Easy remote software"

Overall it has been very good experience and helped us provide high level of support service to our clients, although some customers took sometime to get use to the idea of generating the code first then provide us with it over our live chat but in most cases it was a straight fw process and easy to use

Pros

Easy using of the software, download small file and install it then it will generate a code, from your end through business app you can use this code to access the computer. You can access different computers at the same time. more than one tech can work on same session. Add notes to each session. Has option to reboot, chat, full control on the remote computer. Adjust the software to be branded Work on most mobiles as well

Cons

If possible to add some features: Customer can initiate chat from his end instead of lunching software and generate a new code every time. If it can save chat history automatically of every session.

's ability to quickly launch without hidden installers makes this tool a great asset for remote support. The ability to manage and trigger sessions with a standalone application vs being forced to run within a web portal makes it great to run independently of web sessions.

Cons

Linux support is still not at the capacity of some competitors. Would love to get CLI ability for Linux hosts.Would like to be able to join/transfer/takeover a session from another support technician even if not under the same account without having to restart a new session.

We have been using SOS for many years now and started using Splashtop Business during the pandemic to provide remote support to our Zoom Room devices.

Pros

has all of the features we need to use daily to provide remote support to our community. You can respond to UAC prompts remotely, transfer files to/from the user's computer, and even lock the mouse if needed.

Cons

Walking a user through downloading a mobile app or approving all of the permissions needed to use on a newer Mac can be kind of a pain, but that is the result of built-in security features in the operating systems, not anything on Splashtop's end.

### "Easy Way to Access Customer Computers"

I use daily to login to client's computers, check on issues, help them with application questions, monitor backups, check for viruses and more. It's easy and once a customer is setup to use Splashtop themselves to remotely access their office computer, then it's a no-brainer for them to get their work done. Businesses LOVE the fact that we have 24/7 access to their computers and that we can jump on after hours and not disturb their employees during work hours. Splashtop helps strengthen our relationships with the businesses that we support.

Pros

is easy to use and deploy. Users "get it." Customers "get it." There's also no additional software to download as you must in other products.

Cons

The chat feature isn't great. User's aren't provided sufficient prompts on how to use it. My legacy version of doesn't have multi-monitor to multi-monitor viewing. Moving to a version that does is a huge price jump

I need access to my office computer from anywhere. I prefer to access from other computers, but in a pinch the Android app on my tablet and phone are serviceable, giving me the power of my computer anywhere.

Simple cost effective solution for day-to-day remote customer support

Simple to use and deploy, primarily use SOS client for majority of clients on an ad-hoc basis. some streamer installs on critical user systems.Like the audit trail of sessions, good for billing time to jobs.Like the ability to create a customise/signed SOS+ client App. look very professional.

I have the SOS+ 10 subscription would be nice to see other pricing tiers, say SOS+ 15, 20, 25 etcCan sometimes say poor internet connection when both have excellent internet service.Would like to see a client/customer facing web lading page that could be customise to my business and integrated into my web site

### "Back bone for remote offices"

It solved the printing issues we were having when needing to give someone physical copies of things, as all of our employees are not computer savvy. I can get into their computers, convert files to off, transfer to anyone's computer or print directly to their printers when needed. This is the main reason why we needed a remote desktop software in the first place. It has made genie working so much easier for our office.

The ease of accessing files without having to physically bring your hard drive, thumb drive or use a cloud to share files has been critical to remote working for our office.

So far I love every feature and have not run into any issues with using the software. As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect!

has been good and reliable over the years plus something we've deployed hundreds of times so overall a very reliable remote access tool.

Pros

we have used for many years and it has a really easy deployment along with being updated frequently, all the standard features plus a few extras are included out the box.

Cons

The change of licence model now makes really expensive if you need to scale up number of devices in your account, it used to be much less expensive and some of the new features are good but come with an increase in cost.

### "Splashtop Review"

Overall this is a good tool, with a little bit of improvement it would be great.

Pros

works great to remote in to another PC and assist or repair. The file transfer feature works great and the tool is fairly easy to use.

Cons

The resolution of the remote PC could use some upgrading, often it seems a bit blury or hard to see. requires the user to allow the connection or if it times out it will allow you in. sometime I need to over ride the user and they just reject the remote session when I try to connect.

Reason for choosing Splashtop

I did not, I use them both depending on the need. for example if I need to transfer files I would use splahtop. I I need to do configurations I would use another tool.

### "Perfect Remote Support Tool"

Once you customize the registry keys for the streamer you will have a perfect experience. Some annoying options to customize are sound and num lock settings. Integrates well with our RMM Atera and is even free of charge there. Connection is stable even in remote and very low bandwidth situations.

Pros

Stable and fast remote connections to any system no matter if internal or external. Direct chat and file transfers with the client. Option to have the client approve the connection requests or refuse, for non-server systems. Can be set up thru regedit entry. Various customizations and optimizations are possible thru registry keys, to customize the experience for the support technician and the client.

Cons

Nothing negative to say. Offers all the basic and some more advanced functionality you could think of you need while remotely connecting to a system.

### "Best value by far"

Very satisfied for nearly 4 years. No plans or reason to change.

Pros

Being able to have a console of 10 computers for under $100 per year, that lets me do everything I need is a value that can't be beat.

Cons

Compared to others, I honestly can't think of how I would improve this product.

### "Critical tool for our business"

I have used Spashtop to access our office from Coast to Coast in Canada, many locations in USA and Mexico without issue. Very effective tool for me.

Pros

allows me to virtually work on a computer in another location. Easily transfer files, print and use programs. It is fast and reliable.

Cons

My wish list is to be able to print locally from the remote computer.

Price was reasonable and functionality had almost everything I needed.

### "Splashtop, Easy remote desktop with many features"

Great Consistant Secure

Pros

Trying other remote software, is most consistant and easy to use. One can copy from remote and paste on local computer

Cons

Haven't found anything I don't like. Every tinme I use it is consistantly secure and available. The computer from remote occupies teh whole display and one may not differentiate at times host and current computer.
