I have used LogMeIn and TeamViewer extensively, beats them hands down in all the important areas: reliability, ease of use, and cost.

Pros

It has everything I need, the ability to login remotely to all of my computers plus the added bonus of always working flawlessly at a price that doesn't break the bank.

### "Making Tech Support for my clients easy"

I have tried other remote access programs and found them to be difficult for my end users. The ease of the product makes them comfortable when in is needed for us to help them.

Pros

I find it taking control of my client's computers to help them much easier than walking them through something on the phone. saves me time and my clients find it a blessing. Most of my clients are small mom and pop businesses and not very literate on always using a computer.

Cons

No Cons. I found every feature to be of the quality and ease of use.

Always worked, easy, and great if you have an endless IT budget.

Pros

It's pretty easy to set up, has all the features you would need to be able to remote on someone's machine without hassle and do what needs be done.

Cons

The cost of what this product actually does is highly inflated. Should be at least half the cost of what it is now.

Reason for choosing Splashtop

Actually, I didn't choose it. But when I came onboard, I dropped the renewal and went with ManageEngine products to replace . Splashtop was too expensive for what it does. Getting much more bang for my buck now with ManageEngines Endpoint Central.

Pros

We get integrated with NinjaOne and have used the product for a number of years. It's fast and feature rich and allows both unattended and also attended remote support.

Cons

Sometimes it can be slow in launching but once its up and running the product works without issues.

### "This software saved my business"

Most of the support tasks that I perform now are with Business Access, and physical visits to clients are now rare. Much of the work is after hours when businesses are closed, so it works very well for me.

Pros

The one thing that had me committed was the low cost after the massive price increases I was experiencing from Logmein. has improved in performance, reliability and feature-set considerably over the several years I've been using it, and I cannot praise it more highly. The company also listen carefully to their users and have fixed minor issues along the way. All versions of Windows from XP upwards are supported, including servers.

Cons

There are very few cons. Very old PCs with poor graphics capability maybe rather slow, but there is an add-on driver that helps. Thankfully these issues are very rare, and those machines should have been upgraded anyway. Full Dual Monitor support is an additional paid option, but I can live without that.

Reason for choosing Splashtop

I preferred a product that was hosted elsewhere like Logmein, and the idea of hosting it here in the case of ScreenConnect didn't appeal. I believe ScreenConnect now have both options?

### "Awesome tool for a great price - SOOO much better than Teamviewer"

It works great. I used Teamviewer in the past and Teamviewer made you put in codes everytime you wanted to use it and weird stuff like that. Didn't seem like it was meant for long-term access to certain computers.

Pros

is really easy to use once you get it set up. I also like that it was the "wake" feature which is a lifesaver. I use it to remotely access client's computers if I need to do something for them under their network. It's quite easy to use and I can have it setup to easily select the computer I need to log into.

Cons

Even with the wake feature, it doesn't always work (probably due to the computer not being connected to the internet etc.) but it's much better than alternatives. Really it does everything it is supposed to do so I don't have any other complaints.

Teamviewer is cost-prohibitive (like $40/month, which makes sense if you're a tech support company or something like that, but not for what I do). Also, it makes you input codes and stuff everytime you login so you have to have those on hand all the time and remember which 9+ digit code goes with each computer that you want to access.

Overall this is a great software to use if you are hunting a remote support or desktop software for working from offsite or just providing support.

Pros

The best part about was its ease of use. The remote support feature worked perfect along with the remote desktop feature. For the most part it is a fast easy connection to the other client without the need for VPNs.

Cons

It is a little pricey for smaller businesses and the startup feature is a little laggy at times.

### "This is everything I need in a remote assistance application."

Support has been phenomenal. I talk and they listen. They even implemented a suggestion I had which made a more competitive product and it has eliminated the last of my frustrations with the product. They really do listen and the response time is reasonably short. I'd like to tell you about the response time when I have a real problem but I have never had any.

Pros

I can drag and drop files from my desktop to the client's; It is easy for the client to install and use, the client's agent is quite small; Video update time is subjectively short; I frequently do not remember there is a short lag between what happens on the client's computer and when I see the change on my screen. I can see the client's mouse pointer on my screen. This makes it so much easier for the client to explain to me what is happening on their computer. (It is an option, you have to select it.) I can arrange an unattended connection to the client's computer. Some of my clients prefer this.

Cons

My version has a limited number of unattended connections. I don't need an unlimited supply but I do need more than 10.

While LogMeIn Rescue offered me far more features, real features and not just marketing niceties, I didn't need those features but I was paying for them. is less expensive and gives me exactly what I need.

Remote access and IT management is available to me all the time, wherever I have a good internet connection. I'm a daily user and not once have I ever not been able to access the service and have it perform well.

Pros

allows complete remote control of a computer or server. When you have many computers that are fixed in place in a building, the ability to access each one fully from wherever you are is invaluable.

Cons

On the rarest of occasions a remote machine that is on and connected shows grayed-out in the web console.

### "The best remote access software"

Every employee is working from home. The software is fast, transparent and seemless.

Pros

I have used quite a few solutions to remote access software. Most are very complex and difficult to use. VPN was almost impossible for the users to use. Splash top was a breath of fresh air. I chose it because of the reviews it had. I downloaded the trial and installed it on the desktop server in minutes. That process was seamless. Then I had each user integrate the access from their remotes. Not a single user had any connection issues. We are now all working from home as if we were in the office. This software is excellent. We are accessing from laptops, iPhones, androids, iMacs and notebooks. No issues!

Cons

I have no reservations at all. This software is by far, the best remote access software I have ever seen.

gives me the freedom to work remotely. The platform makes you feel like you're sitting at the computer you're accessing remotely. I love it!

Pros

I am very grateful that one of my clients introduced me to . The platform allowed me to access his computer remotely and it worked very well. I had been using another platform for my own computers in my office. When that platform stopped providing free access, I started researching other platforms. Many had ridiculously high prices that were too high for my little business. I was pleasantly surprised at the price when I researched Splashtop. Thanks to them, I now have all the accessibility I need at a reasonable price.

Cons

At first I couldn't find out how to log someone out if they had forgotten to log off when they were done. After some searching and clicking around, I found the disconnect option. It would be nice if that was a little easier to find. Other than that, I have no other complaints.

Pros

Feature parity is about on par with TeamViewer, with a much better price point. is fast and just works. Customer service and support is top notch with a fast response time to requests (I received a non-support related response on a Sunday). There was a 20% pricing discount when we signed up, saving us around 40% over TeamViewer. Even at full price, Splastop is still cheaper than TeamViewer.

Cons

There's a few minor issues I've run into, but nothing to really complain about. My biggest complaint is the SOS client seems to take longer to startup and display a support code on remote devices, when compared to TeamViewer QuickSupport. Again, minor issue as it's maybe 20-30 seconds or so. Deploying a customized SOS agent is a manual process, but I received my agent software on the same day as my request (on a weekend too). Lastly, when is configured to remove the background (wallpaper / picture) on the remote device you're connecting to, it tends to leave the background blank when you disconnect. I don't find it to be that much of a performance impact, so we simply leave the option to remove the remote device background disabled.

I haven't needed to contact support very much but each time I have they have been quick to help. More than anything in the IT world speed is paramount, these guys are good.

Pros

Functionality across pretty much everything. Fast set up. Secure approval for new machines / users, even down to me having to verify who I am on a regular basis - no trouble, reflects the changing IP's.

Cons

The software working through the app is sometimes a little less than smooth. It still works well but could see some improvement.

I enquired with many companies, those are just a few that come to mind. The easiest and most useful help was from Splahtop. They gave me a full trial, extended that trial and then helped in the move from LogMeIn to the product. All the way through I had regular email communications checking all was going well. Very satisfied customer.

With Remote Support we can effectively manage both our own PCs and servers, as well as that of our clients remotely. The switch from LogMeIn went smoothly, and we've found that the remote support sessions connect far quicker and are more reliable than LogMeIn. Overall we are very satisfied with Splashtop and glad that we've made the switch.

Pros

Integration was very simple, product saved me lots of money over previously used software. It has been very reliable and easy to use. I have recommended this product to multiple people who are all happy with it as well!

Cons

I wish more than one person could remote into one shared computer using different accounts.

Once setup and installed it works well. Custom Deployments are great to have, as is the supposed voice call options - but never been able to get that to work

Combining the SOS and Streamer apps from Client perspective would be a huge help - AnyDesk have nailed this.
