Pros: Love the app, and the ability to be able to just drag and drop receipts. The automatic scanning feature is great, you just upload it and leave it. As well, having a dedicated email to just forward your receipts to makes things easy. All these features allow me to easily capture my receipts rather than hunting them down at the end of the month.

Cons: The user interface could be updated to look more modern. On the app, some of the PDF's don't show and it would be nice to be able to view what the receipts are without having to download them and open them.

Overall: The ability to capture expenses quickly without having to save them up till the end of the month. As well, the ability to edit them and put them in reports that are made automatically and that saves a huge amount of time!

Pros: Uninterrupted service, except two times we had to not use for 3-4 days due to some technical error.

Cons: Reporting's needs to be more useful, and reminder need to be sent to those approver who have reports pending for approval.

Pros: It's inexpensive. Easy to set up and explain to staff how to use. Easy to have separate companies for different currencies. The design is nice. Editing submitted reports is easy and fast.

Cons: When you create a new user and you don't have enough free users available there is no way to pay for an extra account without losing the data you just entered. Better visibility on how many free accounts you have would be better as it would save time redoing the new user set up. When you want to pay for an extra account it takes to a completely new page and then doesn't return you to the New User set up page, this process could be smoother.

Overall: Saved me time having to review and correct excel expenses templates we use to have. Staff is now responsible for their own expenses.

Pros: The speed of uploading and coding expenses. The system is very quick to see patterns and allocate expenses accordingly

Cons: I have tried and not succeeded to get the GST component to be automatically added in. I have to do that for every expense item.

Pros: I like the simple to use intuitive UI.
iPhone and Android apps available.
Fast performance - havent experienced a single outage as yet.

Cons: ICICI Bank integration not working smoothly for payouts. I've been following up since 2nd April 2018.

Works really well for our startup. We especially love the phone app!

Pros: We like the autoscan function, workflow rules, correlation of expense reports (we don't pay through Zoho).

Cons: We had some struggles with accounts at the beginning when multiple people were testing things out, but that has been fully resolved.

Overall: Low cost, simple expensing for our small company.

Pros: Zoho tool is user friendly
Zoho offers affordable pricing for the features offered.
The best thing is that the integration it offers with the Zoho suite of products.

Cons: there is an effort to implement some customisations as per our requirements
over all its manageable

Pros: coherence, multitude of options for managing different situations (although at aggregate). Connecting to other solutions in the eco-system is what keeps it going. In my attempt to find the best possible, I'm hoping to make full utility of this.

Cons: -there are too many things happening in the screen, for an admin it could be important but not for the end user (submitter of expenses)
-the report form is a little confusing for some people, simply having individual expenses seems to function, but I'm sure you went through this thought process before

Pros: We are company that's spread across multiple cities and therefore the ease of submitting the expense reports for my team is fantastic. The really greate feature is the receipt scan, it is one of THE MOST useful function as it reads the receipt VERY accurately and has it ready for us to fill in the additional details. My team has actually run out of excuses why they cannot submit expenses on time. With Zoho expenses, we have now mandated that all resources should submit their expense within 1 week of trip completion. We plan to reduce this to 1-day.

Cons: The advance and reimbursement features seems to have some issues. It does not allow me to adjust an advance against multiple Expense reports.

Overall: The receipt scan feature is great and also ease of use

Pros: As a sales person of a company you dont need to carry all the bills and you no need to wait till you come to office. All you can do is scan the bills and send it for your mangers approval.

Cons: I have not seen any flaws as on today. Maybe the UI part for the mobile app could have been better.

Pros: Zoho Expenses is very easy to Use. It has online help documentation which helps a lot if you're stuck with anything. Also, very good customer service if you need further help. Best of all, it is cost effective compared to other apps in the market.

Cons: The only issue I have at the moment is, I haven't been able to link the credit card to get the automatic feeds into the system. Besides that, I don't have any issues with Zoho expense. All going well - very happy with the overall experience I've had so far with using Zoho Expense.

Pros: I had a couple hundred receipts from a recent project that needed to be categorized and reported. Zoho Expense was a lifesaver with it's simple mobile app, photo upload, and auto scan. It even read foreign currency receipts pretty accurately (text was English, but currency wasn't USD) as well as handwritten receipts. Easy to add receipts to a report that's been compiled but not yet submitted. Will be using this a lot going forward I think.

Cons: Bit slow to read the receipts and digitize the information, but it's within reason. Changes made on the web version and the phone version take a little longer than expected to sync sometimes.

Overall: Saved me a ton of time and stress.

Pros: Easy to manage work flows, the email and webhook notifications are awesome. The app that autoscans receipts and fills in the details is also very good

Cons: Only complaint is that you can't connect something like Zapier to automatically create projects in Zoho Expense

Overall: Our team is on the road constantly. This product makes it very easy to manage all those expenses and make sure they get billed to the right place.

Zoho Expense has met most of our needs with superb quality.

Pros: I like the fact that new features are continuously added. I am impressed with the continuous improvements that are added regularly.

Cons: All expense reports have to be submitted by the base currency. It would be good to allow users to submit using different currencies, or have the ability to set up a base currency for users which is different than the base currency for the organization.

Pros: The mobile app is very good. Having a possibility to photograph your receipts immediately when the expense occurs and then submit them to automated scanning that will pre-fill the forms is excellent. When the expenses will be actually claimed, it is easy to refine the pre-scanned expenses and submit the full report - all on mobile.

Cons: There is still room for improvement in producing the project or client specific expense reports, for example to enable fully transparent cost reporting to clients.
Also, bulk-editing multiple entries in the report approval, for example changing the expence category would make it more efficient to use.

Overall: More efficient expense management. Good mobile client.

Features are very useful, especially the analytics tool which helps the company to easily monitor and generate reports,
Quick scanning feature built into the software,

Cons: Sometimes issues with adding new users,

Pros: The software is generally easy to use in either mobile or web versions. It also complies with our policy that "If it is not in the cloud, it is not allowed".

Cons: There are certain limitations on the customization of forms. There is also an instance that when a user is tagged as an approver, his/her Payment Advance is being approved automatically.

Pros: We like the transparency and ease to customize. For us as a company, it helps all levels of staff to know exactly where the report is and the timeline around processing. It helps us avoid the exchange of 100s of emails over petty issues.

Cons: I wish we could disable a few features that do not apply to our organisation. Zoho has already customised the software a lot for us, but having a features not in use disabled on everybody's dashboard would reduce some questions/ uncertainty.

Overall: - We've been able to reduce processing time by 1/3rd as it has helped us create a system/ process for expenses.
- We've cut down on 100s of back and forth emails over payments as every staff member knows at which level does the payment lie. If it is not submitted, not approved by the head of the department or is lying for approval with finance. It helps everybody have a clear timeline.
- We've cut down on numerous impromptu payment requests coming in from different sources and we have zoho now as a one point source to request payments. It helps reduce the errors and keep our finance team sane!

Pros: Automatic scanning and storing of digital copies of the receipts. Receipts fades away over time so we can just re-print them from these digital copies.

Cons: The fact that it is a software. Getting people who are used to the excel method of filing expenses to change to this has not been easy. However, it would be great if we can export the files according to our own template.

Pros: Its ease of use. It's fantastically easy to use and our sales people are confident in using it which is positive as most new technology is met with resistance by our sales staff. I also love that it scans reciepts for you and enters in the data- this saves so much time. I find the app is easy to use but when I can I always try to do it via the laptop as the web browser version is awesome to use, so smooth.

Cons: The number of Merchants we have is becoming too long and we would like to reduce them or have each user have their own list of merchants, rather than a shared list. This would speed up the process (less to look through) and also reduce the amount merchants each user has on their list. An option to make a merchant a one of purchase not be added the list of merchants would be ideal as well.

Sometimes the software on the app is buggy and has problems with assocaiting tax to an expense but this is not often.

Overall: We are able to get our busy sales staff to put their multiple expenses on to a system that is easy to use. Our admin and finance team love the system as it makes invoicing and expensing easy to follow and requires less work on their part, freeing up their time for other important work.

Easy to manage and track employee expense reports and settling outstanding employee payables.

Pros: The way Zoho Expense seamlessly integrates with Zoho Books is a big plus for me. I simply have to look at the reports and approve or reject as required and the postings are done automatically.

Cons: I wish that Zoho Expense had the ability to use AI and make recommendations on expense classifications when postings.

Pros: I like that I do not have to carry paper around anymore. I can now simply take a picture on my mobile and the process starts.

Cons: I really can not complain about anything. Once you get familiar with the functionality it is really a breeze

Pros: Free version for a small or individual is more than enough but probably will end up having the whole Zoho Package and pay for it, which is OK and depending on needs recommended. Support replies within few hours but not always provide solution.

Cons: User interface is not friendly. Some features not working properly. Receipts not always printed on report or bad quality. Text recognition could be much better. When taking pictures of receipts does not recognize edges automatically like other business card scanners or scan to PDF apps.

Pros: Zoho Expense is super easy to use and has awesome functionality, such as receipt uploads. The administration of it and ability for our managers to use it is a breeze.

Cons: No real qualms here. Zoho Expense even has a free version that may suit your needs if you are a smaller company.

Pros: Easy to scan, the process is very simple. I use it all the time and piloting my expenses just got a lot easier.

Cons: I'd like it to recognize the receipts better and categorize them automatically. I haven't understood well the point of submitting reports though.
One thing I'd love to improve, is to be able to synchronize my bank card on it! I know it's available in the US but not in France.

Cons: Scanning of uploaded receipts takes a bit longer than it should and the matching process of expenses to bank transactions could be improved.

Pros: The current invoices are deleted and thanks to this software I can keep them in perfect condition. It is very effective to generate reports of monthly expenses and has multiple licenses which increases the shared use.

Cons: It is a bit complicated to generate expense reports. I think this may improve a bit. The approval process should be somewhat friendlier.

Pros: Simple to use and the auto scan for receipts works great while on the move.
I started with the free version but quickly spread this across the team.

Pros: It is excellent to keep expense receipts to generate expense reports by category and to control expenditures by approval flows.

Cons: In the application, when taking the photo of the receipts, I would like the load to be a good quality but in black and white and as light as possible.

Pros: I used this in conjunction with Zoho Invoice when first starting my business. The user interface is easy and the ability to integrate with other Zoho products is a nice touch.

Cons: One thing I dislike is in the free trial there is a limit on the number of vendors/expense you can input. I was using the program long enough that I decided to upgrade to Zoho Books. Best choice!

Pros: The software produces clear reports, safely stores receipts for future retrieval, and provides an easy approval process for all staff to submit expense claims.

Cons: It does take a little bit of time to get familiar with the admin side, and a little bit of time for staff to get to grips with some of the settings (so that they submit claims correctly. Would also be useful to have a 'cash returned' section as well as a 'cash advance' section and have the system calculate the net advance amount.

Zoho Expense is easy to use for all employees and especially for people on the go.

Pros: It has a very simple and easy to use interface. The mobile app is great because you often get receipts on the go that end up in your wallet or purse or just plain missing. The app gives you an opportunity to immediately scan the receipt and add it to an expense report. It also automates the approval process with a manager and submits it to Zoho books.

Cons: It isn't clear from the start how you should use zoho expense and zoho books together. They both basically do the same thing but expense is meant for employees. You could use books alone but it would be more time consuming for the accounting person. What they don't tell you is that you need to set both of them up with the same CoA and that you need to make sure they stay the same because they don't appear to sync. It is also confusing how recurring expenses in books is meant to work with zoho expense and you can't create a recurring expense in Zoho Expense.

I've used this for more than a year now and Zoho has made expense tracking so much easy to track.

Pros: The way Users and approves get to always see the status of an expense is amazing. Also the administrator gets the option to record the date that the reimbursement was credited and through which mode so the approver and the user know the status of their expenses. I also like how easy it is to set someone up in the system.

Cons: I haven't found any cons to this software so far but it would be nice to have more accurate readings for the mileage on the app. Also it would be nice to be able to add or have auto populated merchants in the system while submitting expense.

Overall: The integration of Zoho expense in our system has greatly helped with submitting, tracking, approving and recording reimbursements. This minimizes the amount of time towards that task. Zoho is something that I would recommend to other HR professionals to integrate to simplify expenses processes like these.

Pros: I'm a recent convert to Zoho Expense from another expense tracking software. I love Zoho Expense because it's so straightforward. No fancy attempts to 'revolutionise expense tracking' like some competitors. You upload (or forward from email) your receipts, it extracts the key data and makes it easy to categorise expenses, and then you can submit a report. If you need more complex features those are available too, but I haven't needed them yet. The basic functionality alone is great!

Overall: Easy, no-nonsense expense tracking.

Pros: Super convenient... I setup my company and employees once and now it is very easy to record expenses and payments. It required minimal training and all employees were able to use it within no time. Invoice auto scanning feature works like a charm for standard bills like utilities etc. and saves lot of time.

One extremely helpful feature is auto identification of duplicate invoices which you by mistake upload. It helps in catching silly issues which could have become serious if overlooked.

Look and feel and UI/UX is so great that I have asked my development lead to use it as benchmark for our product :) Hope Zoho team wont mind this ...

Cons: Only problem I have faced so far is with the Advance Management. Somehow, I was not able to adjust advance paid to an employee with his expenses. This looks to be a simple feature. Hope team could implement this in future.

Secondly, not related to Zoho expense but I wonder why Zoho people does not have full blown salary module into it. It put me into lot of trouble of identifying another vendor for this and now I am forced to use that to main employee salary accounts. If possible, please pass this message to the relevant team. Zoho people is a very important module and it should be tightly integrated with Zoho expense. But some how I found Zoho people recommending other 3rd party software for salary management. Why not integrate that feature in Zoho expense itself and make it more useful for overall accounts management.

Pros: Snap a pic of an expense and either upload info manually or let the software do it. What I love is that I can upload many receipts and leave them in the Zoho account until I'm ready to input and sort. Really helps.

Cons: Only thing I don't like is that the reports are somewhat limited. I can't manually add in percentage (such as a 50/50 split for meals), but it's not hard to do manually.

Overall: Finally create a bookkeeping system I can trust!

Pros: The ability to enter all our office expenses electronically, and capture all the receipts with my phone's camera, is a real time-saver. And everything is uploaded and stored in the cloud, so I can work anywhere and anytime!

Support, while not perfect, has been ok and certainly appreciated - not that you typically would need support. One bug in at least the android app around taxes was fixed same day it was reported, which is fantastic (or lucky, either way, we were happy).

We considered many options, tried a few, and chose this one.

Cons: It isn't as customizable as some of our staff would like - mainly in how the info is displayed on the website.
It would be nice to have a bit more granular controls over the rules for different groups and the like.

Overall: Increased productivity

ZoHo Expense is remarkably easy to setup and use.

Pros: I like the ease that ZoHo allows an organization to transact a purchase, setup the software and the usability.

Pros: The phone app is really handy. It will automatically and accurately scan even the most dog eared of receipts.

Cons: There really are very few downsides to the design and use of this software. It would be great if you could load your fixed costs into the software (you probably can) and then instantly report and reimburse on a given day each month.

Pros: Automatic reading of receipts and email receipts, ease of putting together expense reports, ability to recommend feature (LOVE this, and being able to see which ideas are being implemented by Zoho)

Cons: Inability to detect duplicate expenses, not sure how restaurant receipts work (with having to scan/submit both the itemized receipt and the credit card charge total)

Fantastic and affordable expense reports. Love the integration options.

Pros: The ability to map expenses and receipts directly into Zoho Books for rapid rebilling has saved us time and made our invoicing process more accurate. The autoscan features are great.

Cons: The default settings per expense are occasionally challenging. Sometimes we mismap an account by accepting the default.

This has greatly increase our ease in reporting and helped us with purchasing checks and balances

Pros: The mobile app and easy set up are by far the best part of the software. We have reduced paper and increased the checks and balances for our organizations spending. It is wonderful how much it integrates with zoho books

Cons: The only complaint is that all expenses have to be added to a report. It would be nice if we could submit one off expenses without creating an expense report for them.

Customer service is excellent and user interface is easy to use!

Pros: The user interface is very intuitive and reports are generated in a clean format. The help guide is also extremely easy to use.

Cons: Limited approval workflow (i.e. different expenses under different budgets cannot travel to different budget owners without sending them the entire report); difficulty syncing Chase Ink credit card to software.

Pros: Easy to use and set up. Screens are fast loading and software is intuitive. In general you can customize it pretty well. Categories are good. Editing expenses is pretty easy also.

Cons: Would like more flexibility in naming conventions. Also it would be good to be able to run searches and reports on UN-SUBMITTED expenses. As users enter expenses they are duplicating some as it's hard to see and find them until they have been submitted. Also automatic duplicate warning (Same Vendor, Amount, Date) would be a good feature.

- Entering expenses is quick and can be done on the fly
- Photo snapshots for attaching receipts is efficient and eliminates lost receipts
- Status of each expense report is easy to check

Cons: Cons:
- Everyone in the approval chain must be a user
- There are small improvements needed, but no show stoppers, such as:
- When entering new merchant, that merchant should be defaulted to the current expense record
- New expense records should default to the Select Category screen

Pros: ZoHo is very easy to use and I like the fact that you can create a report and save it for later use. It is also easy to understand and operate.

Cons: I have tried to use this as an app on my phone, but found it is much easier to use on the computer. But I also think this is typical of most phone apps vs computer apps.

Overall: It makes doing receipts and expenses much easier.

I have tested a number of features for this software. It has flexibility to meet our needs

Pros: Field staff has had an easy time learning and using it to capture expense while in the field. Customer support is quick to respond to our needs.

Cons: We have encountered some uploading issue with the iphone platform while traveling internationally. Also an expense can not be split between more than 1 project.

Overall: Electronic expense reports and quicker turn around on answering questions and getting approvals for field expenses.

I use Zoho for my work expenses and find it simply and smooth to use!

Pros: You can use the software from your phone and your desktop which is extremely user friendly. You can add expenses in easily on the go from your phone as they come in.

Cons: The website is very involved. I think it could be simplified a bit to make it easier for a less tech savvy crowd.

Pros: Intuitive platform and easy to roll out and use if it functions the way ZOHO markets it on all of its functionality. Beware of direct feed issues on VISA cards.

Cons: Have been using this platform for about 2 months now with 15 subscriptions and it has been riddled with direct feed integration issues, where for us none of our transactions from VISA card would sync with their system.

Overall: It hasn't performed to the level that it should. We have been put off by their back office support issues.
