Pros: In my company it is very important to keep control of expenses, not only of what the company generates, but the administrative expense for each of the processes and documents made by the different departments. Based on this I can list certain positive characteristics of Zoho Expense:

-It is incredible how intuitive software can be. When generating an invoice or a payment receipt, you can take a picture with our mobile device and the software automatically schedules it.

- Not only schedules the expenses but also allows to make very complete reports of the average expenses according to the average time range that we indicate to the software

Cons: Actually this program has brought many solutions to our work environment, enhancing our administration thanks to a better management of economic resources. Of moments I do not have any type of complaint about this software

Overall: The expenses of our company are in order thanks to Zoho Expense, it even allows us to make a more thorough and adequate planning to our financial reality as a company. Records of payments, invoices, operating expenses, spending relationships and reports, are many of the benefits offered by Zoho Expense.

Pros: Super convenient... I setup my company and employees once and now it is very easy to record expenses and payments. It required minimal training and all employees were able to use it within no time. Invoice auto scanning feature works like a charm for standard bills like utilities etc. and saves lot of time.

One extremely helpful feature is auto identification of duplicate invoices which you by mistake upload. It helps in catching silly issues which could have become serious if overlooked.

Look and feel and UI/UX is so great that I have asked my development lead to use it as benchmark for our product :) Hope Zoho team wont mind this ...

Cons: Only problem I have faced so far is with the Advance Management. Somehow, I was not able to adjust advance paid to an employee with his expenses. This looks to be a simple feature. Hope team could implement this in future.

Secondly, not related to Zoho expense but I wonder why Zoho people does not have full blown salary module into it. It put me into lot of trouble of identifying another vendor for this and now I am forced to use that to main employee salary accounts. If possible, please pass this message to the relevant team. Zoho people is a very important module and it should be tightly integrated with Zoho expense. But some how I found Zoho people recommending other 3rd party software for salary management. Why not integrate that feature in Zoho expense itself and make it more useful for overall accounts management.

It's been fantastic to be with Zoho. It has reduced our workload and errors drastically.

Pros: We like the transparency and ease to customize. For us as a company, it helps all levels of staff to know exactly where the report is and the timeline around processing. It helps us avoid the exchange of 100s of emails over petty issues.

Cons: I wish we could disable a few features that do not apply to our organisation. Zoho has already customised the software a lot for us, but having a features not in use disabled on everybody's dashboard would reduce some questions/ uncertainty.

Overall: - We've been able to reduce processing time by 1/3rd as it has helped us create a system/ process for expenses.

- We've cut down on 100s of back and forth emails over payments as every staff member knows at which level does the payment lie. If it is not submitted, not approved by the head of the department or is lying for approval with finance. It helps everybody have a clear timeline.

- We've cut down on numerous impromptu payment requests coming in from different sources and we have zoho now as a one point source to request payments. It helps reduce the errors and keep our finance team sane!

Zoho Expense is a fantastic product to use for when you have busy staff with lots of expenses

Pros: Its ease of use. It's fantastically easy to use and our sales people are confident in using it which is positive as most new technology is met with resistance by our sales staff. I also love that it scans reciepts for you and enters in the data- this saves so much time. I find the app is easy to use but when I can I always try to do it via the laptop as the web browser version is awesome to use, so smooth.

Cons: The number of Merchants we have is becoming too long and we would like to reduce them or have each user have their own list of merchants, rather than a shared list. This would speed up the process (less to look through) and also reduce the amount merchants each user has on their list. An option to make a merchant a one of purchase not be added the list of merchants would be ideal as well.

Sometimes the software on the app is buggy and has problems with assocaiting tax to an expense but this is not often.

Overall: We are able to get our busy sales staff to put their multiple expenses on to a system that is easy to use. Our admin and finance team love the system as it makes invoicing and expensing easy to follow and requires less work on their part, freeing up their time for other important work.

Zoho is the Accounting Software for entrepreneurs of today!

Pros: Zoho is extremely easy to use. You do NOT have to be an accountant or a computer genius to use it.

The expenses module is an easy way for you to keep track of your travel expenses as well as your employees. And that is my favorite module to use!

Books module is also very easy to use and we can easily see the net profits of the company.

The reporting functionality is simple and to the point.

Cons: It still has a few features that could be improved. the opportunities are all there it just needs to be expanded. i.e more filters, more customization

Overall: Zoho Customer support is top notch! always there to help

Pros: If you want to control your company's spending, Zoho Expense is the best tool that you need to consider. It is a multi-currency tool that helps you track every expense in your organization, which prevents overspending. This tool makes expense reporting excellent and understnadbale for both small and mid-sized businesses. I also like it because it is easy to use.

Cons: In my opinion, I think that this tool is expensive for small businesses. As a small business owner, it is hard to maintain this software, especially if you are new in the industry. However, the tool is reliable to use.

Pros: Zoho Expense was a reliable and affordable alternative to services from large companies when it comes to expense reports. The support of their team is always good, and they react quickly. The interface is simple and understandable even for the beginner. Very rich functionality and excellent reports. This gives excellent information to analysts, where their money goes, the cost behavior of different departments and different employees.

Cons: I wish this provided a little more in the area of customization when it comes to employee reports. We would like to be able to put different wage rates and monitor this in the statements. There are also some minor bugs, but I think they will be fixed in the next updates.

Pros: Although price is what drew us initially to consider Zoho Expense, its the features and functionality that has kept us as a customer. We originally used Concur and found it to be too cumbersome and far too much for our needs. Zoho Expense fits our needs, and budget, much better.

Cons: The inability to have users able to enter or create expense requests on other behalf. Although this feature is in the pipeline now.

Overall: Great application. Easy to use and administer. Right mix of features including mobile apps. Great value for the price.

Pros: Very easy to use when on the road. My reps are able to quickly take a picture of the receipt and then go back to it later to fill in the information regarding that transaction. As a company we had an immediate decline in lost receipts which will help us in an audit.

Cons: I would like to software to connect with the credit card company to verify all transactions have been complete. Our accounting team must reconcile the credit card statement with the Zoho reports to make sure all transactions have been documented, this costs us time and money.

Overall: Zoho Expense has been a useful tool, and has decreased the number of receipts lost. We are now able to keep all receipts digital.

Pros: Simple, easy to use, can add on users easily.

Cons: Our staff is on the road and the adding of receipts using the apps frequently causes duplicates for the corporate card charges that are fetched and added. Staff wants to add the receipts on the road and put in receipt mailbox, but easily to add to folder on desktop that going to receipts inbox. wish that function worked better

Overall: Love it - we are a multi- zoho project using company. the products work well, staff is happy, we are definitely more efficient because of the software

Pros: I like using Zoho Expense because it has helped us a lot in managing and controlling everything that we spend in our organization. It is a fantastic tool that has amazing features that we use to prevent overspending. We record everything we spend and use the system to control every single spent, which has boosted our total profits.

Cons: Slow technical team is the only aspect that surely irritates me about Zoho Expense. They take too long before respond to even a single and simple question.

Overall: Although the support team disappoints at times, I like the experince I have with Zoho Expense. The tool makes sure that we never overspned in our firm, which is a good move.

Zoho Expense is easy to use for all employees and especially for people on the go.

Pros: It has a very simple and easy to use interface. The mobile app is great because you often get receipts on the go that end up in your wallet or purse or just plain missing. The app gives you an opportunity to immediately scan the receipt and add it to an expense report. It also automates the approval process with a manager and submits it to Zoho books.

Cons: It isn't clear from the start how you should use zoho expense and zoho books together. They both basically do the same thing but expense is meant for employees. You could use books alone but it would be more time consuming for the accounting person. What they don't tell you is that you need to set both of them up with the same CoA and that you need to make sure they stay the same because they don't appear to sync. It is also confusing how recurring expenses in books is meant to work with zoho expense and you can't create a recurring expense in Zoho Expense.

Pros: Zoho Expense's ease of use both from a computer and a mobile device is excellent! We really like the mobile app because it allows easy capturing of receipts and adding them to expense reports while on the road.

Cons: The only thing that I feel like I can put as a Con right now is the ability to because to have multiple levels of approvals through like a workflow. This would allow a person immediate supervisor to approve lets say an expense report and then once they approve it gets kicked up to Accounting review team/management for second level approval.

Overall: We have departments that handle a higher volume of receipts using this tool to help better manage getting receipts attached to expense reports timely, especially while on the go! They can then submitted completed reports with receipts attached electronically.

Pros: Free version for a small or individual is more than enough but probably will end up having the whole Zoho Package and pay for it, which is OK and depending on needs recommended. Support replies within few hours but not always provide solution.

Cons: User interface is not friendly. Some features not working properly. Receipts not always printed on report or bad quality. Text recognition could be much better. When taking pictures of receipts does not recognize edges automatically like other business card scanners or scan to PDF apps.

Pros: Creating expense reports and tracking your expenses are now easy tasks because we are helped by Zoho Expense. It is reliable expense reporting tool for freelancers, small business owners and big businesspersons. It gives us a free trial before subscribing to the paid version.

Cons: The paid version is somehow expensive. The should reduce the subscription fee per month to allow small business owners to use it comfortably. Apart from the high price. Zoho Expense is perfect.

Pros: The mobile app is very good. Having a possibility to photograph your receipts immediately when the expense occurs and then submit them to automated scanning that will pre-fill the forms is excellent. When the expenses will be actually claimed, it is easy to refine the pre-scanned expenses and submit the full report - all on mobile.

Cons: There is still room for improvement in producing the project or client specific expense reports, for example to enable fully transparent cost reporting to clients.

Also, bulk-editing multiple entries in the report approval, for example changing the expence category would make it more efficient to use.

Overall: More efficient expense management. Good mobile client.

I've used this for more than a year now and Zoho has made expense tracking so much easy to track.

Pros: The way Users and approves get to always see the status of an expense is amazing. Also the administrator gets the option to record the date that the reimbursement was credited and through which mode so the approver and the user know the status of their expenses. I also like how easy it is to set someone up in the system.

Cons: I haven't found any cons to this software so far but it would be nice to have more accurate readings for the mileage on the app. Also it would be nice to be able to add or have auto populated merchants in the system while submitting expense.

Overall: The integration of Zoho expense in our system has greatly helped with submitting, tracking, approving and recording reimbursements. This minimizes the amount of time towards that task. Zoho is something that I would recommend to other HR professionals to integrate to simplify expenses processes like these.

Pros: So far, I've received almost all high remarks from my coworkers over this system. It is very easy to get the hang of using, the UI is very user friendly, and it is very affordable. The receipt scanning and the email forwarding features are great time savers while on the go. The reports approval process is very well done and makes expense reporting and payment very easy.

Cons: The only thing that comes to mind so far would be the occasional issue with the receipt scanning software. Sometimes it will have issues causing the upload to take a long time and once uploaded it sometimes has an issue with populating the fields correctly. Overall, i still think this is a great provided feature.

Overall: Our company recently transitioned to Zoho Expense from Replicon. This new system came at a much more affordable price and is fully loaded with features that Replicon did not have. The setup of the account was easy and the training of the employees went relatively smoothly. So far, everyone loves it.

Pros: Love how easy it is to use. The auto scan feature is HUGE!

It makes an intimidating task like doing your taxes so simple.

Cons: I haven't found much that I don't like about this software.

Overall: I discovered Zoho on accident and as a realtor I have been grateful for it ever since!

It's easy for me to track my expenses. I love using the mobile app and just recently began using the desktop site. All of it flows with ease and I really can't say enough about it and the value is great!

Pros: The speed of uploading and coding expenses. The system is very quick to see patterns and allocate expenses accordingly

Cons: I have tried and not succeeded to get the GST component to be automatically added in. I have to do that for every expense item.

Pros: The receipt scanning is quick and accurate. The drag and drop functions are nice for uploading receipts. The app is fairly light and easy to use as well.

Cons: I don't like how when you scan receipts it duplicates the image on your phone. If I take a photo through the app and the software needs to create a new file to scan it or upload it or something then delete the original. Or at least have a toggle option to delete the original. I just don't like having additional clutter I need to clean up.

Overall: I don't have to keep paper receipts...upload or take a picture and move on. Expense reports are still a hassle, but much less so.

Pros: Love the app, and the ability to be able to just drag and drop receipts. The automatic scanning feature is great, you just upload it and leave it. As well, having a dedicated email to just forward your receipts to makes things easy. All these features allow me to easily capture my receipts rather than hunting them down at the end of the month.

Cons: The user interface could be updated to look more modern. On the app, some of the PDF's don't show and it would be nice to be able to view what the receipts are without having to download them and open them.

Overall: The ability to capture expenses quickly without having to save them up till the end of the month. As well, the ability to edit them and put them in reports that are made automatically and that saves a huge amount of time!

Pros: It's inexpensive. Easy to set up and explain to staff how to use. Easy to have separate companies for different currencies. The design is nice. Editing submitted reports is easy and fast.

Cons: When you create a new user and you don't have enough free users available there is no way to pay for an extra account without losing the data you just entered. Better visibility on how many free accounts you have would be better as it would save time redoing the new user set up. When you want to pay for an extra account it takes to a completely new page and then doesn't return you to the New User set up page, this process could be smoother.

Overall: Saved me time having to review and correct excel expenses templates we use to have. Staff is now responsible for their own expenses.

Pros: Easy to manage work flows, the email and webhook notifications are awesome. The app that autoscans receipts and fills in the details is also very good

Cons: Only complaint is that you can't connect something like Zapier to automatically create projects in Zoho Expense

Overall: Our team is on the road constantly. This product makes it very easy to manage all those expenses and make sure they get billed to the right place.

Pros: The clean pages and ease of use are the best features. It integrates easily with phone apps and also features a Chrome add-n that makes adding receipts that much easier. It is wonderful to have a FAQ page and also have a person answer the help desk calls quickly. They also do a screen share and are very interested in making it a great experience for the users.

Cons: We would have liked the implementation of our direct feed to have been more transparent and easier. It was not fun to work with our bank, Visa, and Zoho to get the direct feed integrated. The bank make it sound like Zoho was not a preferred vendor of theirs. I think with more integrations it will become easier for future corporate customers.

Overall: We've been able to replace our existing Expense reporting system and our cut-over was pretty painless. We had a miserable time with the former expense reporting system, so Zoho was a breath of fresh air for us.

Pros: Zoho Expenses is very easy to Use. It has online help documentation which helps a lot if you're stuck with anything. Also, very good customer service if you need further help. Best of all, it is cost effective compared to other apps in the market.

Cons: The only issue I have at the moment is, I haven't been able to link the credit card to get the automatic feeds into the system. Besides that, I don't have any issues with Zoho expense. All going well - very happy with the overall experience I've had so far with using Zoho Expense.

Cons: The set up took a little time however once it was configured, no problem. It would have been helpful to understand what fields would be limiting if they were not populated and to provide a recommended report naming convention.

It would help to have additional instructions on how to configure new users.

Overall: I am now able to process expense reports timely - from my phone and review expenses from my laptop. It is working great! Zoho has been a life saver!

Pros: Our entire team travels constantly for work, both domestically and internationally. ZoHo Expense makes life so much easier for all of our producers and office manager when it comes to submitting expenses for a specific project. The ease of customizing the required fields for expenses has been great. The mobile app is the cherry on-top for this product. As mentioned, we're all traveling constantly, so having the ability to handle your expenses on-the-go and in realtime makes this aspect of our business much less of a headache.

Cons: I can honestly say I have yet to find a "con" in this software. Both the desktop version and mobile version work seamlessly.

Pros: We are company that's spread across multiple cities and therefore the ease of submitting the expense reports for my team is fantastic. The really greate feature is the receipt scan, it is one of THE MOST useful function as it reads the receipt VERY accurately and has it ready for us to fill in the additional details. My team has actually run out of excuses why they cannot submit expenses on time. With Zoho expenses, we have now mandated that all resources should submit their expense within 1 week of trip completion. We plan to reduce this to 1-day.

Cons: The advance and reimbursement features seems to have some issues. It does not allow me to adjust an advance against multiple Expense reports.

Overall: The receipt scan feature is great and also ease of use

I have good internet connection (other pages works), upload data to ZOHO (fill the boxes).

Than hit the "SAVE"2 and it say, "no internet connection". I am try it again and again, - same result. At the end I need to quit. As this is not a real cloud application with continuous saving, - what I typed/filled is lost. I should start it again. Normally to make a bigger report once, I need to start twice or more times! DISASTER!

The ease of use is tremendous and being able to track my expenses is amazing.

Pros: The cost was really the big decision maker for us. There were other expense report apps out there that were pretty amazing but very costly. This app is useful for our every day needs, is continuously being updated with new useful features and is easy to manage.

Cons: Not as user friendly as I would have hoped. Low end users struggle with picture taking, have had pictures not show up after they know they took them, and the IPad app only works in landscape view and doesn't have all of the features the mobile phone app provides. I would like to see Zoho become more automated with expense reports also.

Pros: 1. Free trial period: allowed me to test easily, reducing risk of of failure, increase confidence in transition, validate.

2. Training tutorials for users made roll-out smooth.

3. Customized reports/exports.

Cons: Reports/Exports could be increasingly helpful with saved filter criteria.

Overall: As a small company of 20, we've been able to successfully eliminate spreadsheets and other manual validation steps in our process. The result has been successful, giving increase confidence in the process, saving mgt audit/processing time, and reducing risk of errors.

Pros: HUGE time saver for my church staff; they can simply scan a receipt and enter in the details within 1 minute. At the end of the month, they can just click on submit and all the info comes to me. I love the customization of categories, as well as putting in rules to let users know when they're violating a spending policy. So helpful from an HR perspective! And storage of receipts for IRS purposes is an obvious plus.

Cons: It doesn't connect with ACS Technologies Realm accounting (however; that's not on the fault of Zoho, that's because Realm doesn't work with anything right now, it's in early stages.)

Overall: We've really enjoyed the time-saving aspect for staff who often do lunches and meals with others. One of our staff that used to have a hard time with expense reports has been our STAR user of this software and has even helped to train others.

Pros: Convert FX currencies to report currencies - this is really convenient especially for our company that needs to deal with multi currencies constantly

Cons: Can't preview excel & pdf - have to download first - not that inconvenient but it will be better if we can just see details in preview

Pros: Very simple to use, quick to input expenses and a great "catch-all" for expenses. I love the fact that I can collect a month's worth of expenses and selectively submit reports.

Cons: Originally I used this software on my cell phone and on my pc as a stand-alone user. I've now onboarded a new person into our company located in a remote location and as such, I have no major issues with the software.

Overall: Quick expense reporting and no paper!

Great product. Seamlessly integrates with Zoho Books.

Pros: Great product. Seamlessly integrates with Zoho Books. Very little time taken to train employees. Mobile app lets you scan bills on the go.

Cons: Some bugs - difficult to undo errors once they have been committed in Zoho books. Sometimes, manual intervention is needed.

I love this OCR/AI empowered expense app. Coz I hate expense reporting and Zoho helps me a lot

Pros: Integration with scannable is a great plus, very good character recognition , and sometimes categorisation. Easy to make reports, most bills gets there. I save so much time using it. Integration with other systems a very big plus. Everything in the cloud. Great

Cons: problems with foreign letters like hindu/thai etc. But it will probably improve. With other alphabets the OCR have problems. That could be improved.

Pros: The ease of use for both mobile app users and website users. I love that we can reimburse our employees via ACH. Another excellent feature is the duplicate expense warnings - that is incredibly useful to me. I love that we have the ability to edit the expense (e.g. correcting the date, adding the merchant) to ensure accuracy before we export the data to upload into our ERP system.

Cons: It was a bit difficult to set up. We have a complicated chart of accounts so it was quite a process to upload all our expense categories and set up the correct policies, but it's a vast improvement over our previous expense reimbursement program!

Overall: In the short time we have used Zoho Expense, I have found that our employees are submitting their receipts in a more timely manner because it's so easy.

Overall: Zoho expense really helped manage our sales team's expenses. Many travel often and needed a good way to keep track of their expenses. We are now able to account for them in a timely manner.

Pros: Field staff has had an easy time learning and using it to capture expense while in the field. Customer support is quick to respond to our needs.

Cons: We have encountered some uploading issue with the iphone platform while traveling internationally. Also an expense can not be split between more than 1 project.

Overall: Electronic expense reports and quicker turn around on answering questions and getting approvals for field expenses.

Pros: The integrations with other Zoho applications and from 3 parties are very usefull and powerfull. It lets you connect your data and get more insights of your business

Cons: I believe that Zoho should work to have better integrations with Brazilian companies, especially with local banks, so you could better manage better the financial information.

Pros: Expense reports are always up to date, simply take a photo and let the software do the rest.

Cons: Reconciling expenses to credits card charges for international expenses is difficult, the initial filter range is too broad and it is not possible to adjust charges even if they are out due to exchange variations by 1 cent.

Overall: Expense reporting took hours in the past, it is now a very simple process.

Pros: The current invoices are deleted and thanks to this software I can keep them in perfect condition. It is very effective to generate reports of monthly expenses and has multiple licenses which increases the shared use.

Cons: It is a bit complicated to generate expense reports. I think this may improve a bit. The approval process should be somewhat friendlier.

Pros: This software was extremely cheaper than its counterparts. My boss implemented it since we are part of the Zoho family and it has been a breeze to submit expenses, mobile and all!

Cons: I can't say anything bad. Our implementation has been very recent and being that it can do everything our more expensive software can do, well, it's a no-brainer!

Pros: This application helps you in the financial part, filing the expenses of the company, generating reports of expenses that go through an approval flow. It is very useful and easy to learn to use.

Pros: I like being able to keep bills that easily get damaged over time. With Zoho Invoice I can have a stored copy that I can later print and use it in the reports that You can generate.

Cons: I feel this software as a department of the billing suites. At first sight and already familiar it seems that you can not generate new options but we never know how Zoho can surprise us.

Pros: It takes care of bare minimum, but necessary stuff. No fuss about extra things. It's clean and very easy to understand.

Cons: I think the integration with Zoho Books could be better. There are some things like the fields in expenses here cannot be imported to zoho books invoices; and I think matching etc isn't possible in expense

Pros: Very easy to costumize according to what you are going to need. Perfect when working with teams that has strict rules when it comes to expenses. Scanning receipts is very awesome and decreases workload and increases productivity.
