Pros Detailed data info available,easy to configure, live statistics of individual attributes of hardwares makes it catchy.Better for Researchers and professionals. Cons Observium server maintainance is difficult for all range of users,Mapping requires more clarity.UI also is less user-friendly. Pros Auto discovery of all of my networking equipment. I had dashboards up and displaying information in record time. Cons Had some issues with stuff that was not in documentation. Fast and simple to setup and get going. The user interface is easy to understand and presents just the right amount of information without getting messy. It can do a lot, with a lot of equipment, and does it good. Cons Scalability. The solution is scalable, up to a point. Right now, with 75000+ ports and 1200+ devices, the hardware is barely managing it's 5 minutes poll cycles. Pros We use this for network management. It helps us infer route conflicts and power consumption. It is a great tool to visualize distributed network. It has a lot of information but..." April 10, 2018 4.0 Some in-depth network discovery is available. Getting that information out of the tool is difficult though. Pros I liked the level of detail that this would collect. In the hands of the right person that decipher some of this information, this can provide a lot of value. Cons Reporting on the findings and exporting the details was cumbersome to say the least. It was very difficult to export the data. This was crucial for us. Pros \- Control about all status of our networks. - Clear and intuitive interface - Integration with external applications Cons \- Sometimes shows so many data, dificulting the monitoring tasks - Configure an alert is not so simple as it seems Reason for choosing Observium Observium matches all our needs and it's expandable if in a future we need more power.
