We had a good experience with Ohana. Many of our employees really enjoyed connecting with their co-workers, either in the same office or other offices, through using Ohana. Participation was mixed, just as participation in social media in general is. I would say that, overall, our experience with Ohana was a good one.

Pros

We liked being able to create a community among our employees using Ohana. When I was introduced to Ohana, I was told it was much like Facebook, and found that to be true.

Cons

We used Ohana both on our computers and on our phones. There were times when the functionality on our phones was glitchy.

I liked that I was able to communicate with all employees and also family. This product works everytime and keeps it simplified.

Overall it's a good product that can be used by companies

Pros

Makes communication easier when people are not next to each other by reducing that gap and creating a team like atmosphere

Cons

Not a lot of cons but I would like to point out that it gets extremely hard to see photos or comments sometimes

Pros

Many times I am traveling for a tradeshow and need to connect/collaborate with my co-workers. Ohana has helped me do this by giving me an easy platform to use. It keeps us all connected and on the same page.

Cons

I prefer to use the desktop over the mobile app. I do think there could be some improvements but overall I still get the job done when on mobile and in a pinch.

Pros

I like that this software gives companies the opportunity to include off-site employees a chance to be a part of the social circle. About half of our employees work remotely, several out-of-state. It allows them to feel like they're in the office with us.

Cons

I don't particularly like the surveys that are sent out regularly. I find them redundant.

We started using Ohana after an employee survey & we love it! It's easy to use & our employees appreciate the real time info that is shared. It helps us stay connected as an organization on the go

Learning about everyone in the office and the events they are dealing with along with the fun time pics

Pros

Updates & posts from each office & location with details of the photo. Comments and high fives with all of the company involved. Additional tips and updated losses with details of who is making the repairs or responding to the loss.

Cons

Photos are difficult to see sometimes and the comments are difficult at times to access. Additional info of which office the person or post is from.

I enjoy how easy it is to keep in contact and get to know my coworkers. The short biographies of each user with questions was my favorite

Making a post at times can be tricky. I found it difficult at times to find the "make a post" button.

My team is able to connect with each other easily. It's a one stop shop for many of the employee engagement features we value.

Pros

I like... -The color scheme - The ability to easily scrolls through messages - The contact list, how's simple and easy to see -One stop shop for company info and documents

Cons

\- No significant cons about the software. However, if I have to elaborate... Like any employee engagement software, your company is in a space with significant challenges. For example, you have a user friendly software, but perhaps some individuals may have no interest in connecting with others. If the software offered features to challenge this then I think it could add additional value.
