Pros When we looked at scheduling software, it had to be fool proof for the user and easy to set up for me, the administrator. The other great feature is to use different forms for different schedule types on the same calendar. For scheduling resources that has different scheduling requirements, it makes it easier to manage with different rules. Cons There is no administrator role that can override defined restrictions. If I am on the phone with a client trying to reschedule a meeting, I should be able to override the rules and make the appointment. For example, one of our scheduling rules has a 4 hour minimum scheduling requirement. IF I want to allow someone to come in within two hours, I should be able to make that schedule without editing the scheduling rules, which is what I have to do now. It has helped me a lot automating bookings and emails related to these bookings. Pros I like most that it was so easy and nice to work with it. It provides your own website for your customers to make their bookings with you. You can even customize it a little bit, just enough to fit your brand colours but still look clear and easy to use. You can customize the emails that are automatically sent to people who book appointments. A Zoom link is automatically created in case you are organizing a videocall and is also automatically sent to your clients. I love that this app automates so many tedious processes. Cons something I do not appreciate is that I cannot sell a number of appointments with a discount, for instance I would like to offer 1 class at X euros and 5 classes offering a discount in price. YouCanBookMe does not offer this option; instead, clients must book (and pay) 5 independent classes with me. That would be a lovely addition to its features. Just today our integration broke, it's a bug on their side due to a parameter they changed, and there is no urgent help line support, no way to get back to them and support via email is just too slow. I also like the ease of use for myself and the person completing the booking on my website. The customization is also very nice, so I can have my booking page match my brand. Cons Since I pay for the service, I wish I could remove the YouCanBook.me watermark. I am also not a huge fan of how it only syncs with one calendar. I use this for work but I would also like to add my personal events so if I am at an appointment with my kids, my booking shows that time is not available. It is possible, but for $10, just to have the time slots blocked doesn't make sense to me. I have just started to put personal appointments on my work calendar. I would like to keep them separate though. Might consider it later on in the future. Pros In using the free trial, the flexibility of creating meetings and appointments was nice. Provided lots of options for days and times that made more specific options possible as compared to other platforms I've used. Distribution of the bookings was easy. Nice control features. Easy to connect to your calendars, be they Outlook or Google. Cons In my opinion, there is a steeper learning curve in using this platform. Not just because of all of the features, but the overall look is very busy and not very intuitive in my opinion. Some of my students also stated that it was confusing to choose appointments. However, that is all very subjective and is not necessarily a reflection of the platform itself. We've had a few issues, most of which were our mistake or an issue with the settings we'd applied. When we've contacted support they were very responsive and helpful. Pros Saves us lots of time by allowing people to book meetings with me and my team at a time that suits them. Cons Biggest downside is the charging by calendar. I wish I could allow my personal and other calendars (I have several companies) affect my availability with out having to triple my costs. It would be nice to have a 'not available but can shift things' or 'available but only book if there is no other option' type mode. Obs with a better name! The system sets up rather quickly and easily. I have experienced a few issues but have been able to correct them quickly. Getting technical support can be a little slow. I have not found a phone number or messaging means to communicate with technical support. Pros It works well with my Google calendar and Gmail. Cons I cannot seem to understand how to use the tools to do more marketing automation. I would like to send more schedule reminders. One email and one SMS. I've been using it for about 3.5 years with no problems. It does everything I ask of it. Pros I love that it allows me to set custom times and meeting types in my calendar. I can limit some scheduling times to virtual, some to in person, and clients and prospects can book the type of meeting that is most appropriate for their needs. Cons Learning how to set this product up was not super intuitive. I'm not sure I would have figured it out on my own. However, the team at You Can Book Me took me through a great orientation and was extremely helpful when it came to customizing the product for my needs. Pros Appointment scheduling has never been easier. I can sync multiple calendars (Outlook, Google, and Apple) at once, as well as have the flexibility to create multiple booking pages to fit my course and project scheduling needs. Having the flexibility to do so has been critical, especially when we went fully online last year. The other feature that I enjoy is the customization features. From sending email reminders and personalized follow up messages, scheduling has never been easier. This software adapts to your needs. Cons At the beginning I used a free version of the software. When I switched to the paid version, it was hard to sync my "free" scheduling page with the paid version because I couldn't locate my password or the email I used to create my original booking page. It took a little work to figure out how to receive support but I was able to get the help I needed through one of the forums. I posted my inquiry and someone from YouCanBook.me reached out to me within 24 hours to support me directly. I love the automatic calendar invites and reminders. Pros There is an easy way for students to book on their own. It takes away the most time-consuming part of my job (going back and forth discussing availability) and increases the chances that I'll actually end up meeting with them. Cons I really hate that the calendar can't simply sync with my Google calendar. That I need to create blocks of time, name them, then mark myself as "free." I also don't like that folks can't choose between 30 minute meetings and 60 minute meetings. I have to make them all uniform and then I feel like there are snatches of time that could have been booked, but there's no mechanism for it. I also find it hard to go to my page and log in. If I click on my own link, why is there not a link on that page to log in? Why is it so difficult to find my dashboard and manage my account? I was able to find some workarounds or mess with how I created my blocks of time to best match my schools schedule. Teachers found it simple as an enduser to book time with me. Beats keeping track of everything yourself! Pros Love the layout and design with this application. Nice modern and sleek templates. I am able to create a schedule, customize colors and layout design, and then share a link out with others to be able to book times with me. There are some settings customization options that help. For me, I used YouCanBookMe so that teachers can schedule meeting times with me without the need to go back and forth through email. Love that it syncs to Google Calendar that way I can stay on top of everything via my mobile phone. Cons This was a deciding factor for me. Unfortunately, being in the school setting, you have to pay a little price to get some better customizing features. One of which is the ability to create a truly custom schedule that isn't every 15/30/45/or 60 mins. For me, class periods are not equal time frame. I also need the ability to build in hall time, which isn't possible unless I pay for all of the premium features. I wish this was something that was offered to begin with. Review Source Khayra B. Instead of going back and forth with emails about what time works for appointments and meetings, YouCanBook.me automates the entire process. Not only can you book with ease, or show what openings you have, you can also receive confirmation emails and booking reminders that minimize no shows. It even automates cancellation or changes to appointment times, by making it easy to see what other times are available instead. This feature is particularly wonderful for professional settings where accountability for frequent changes or cancellation is needed. For a laboratory with shared equipment, it ensures that every researcher has time blocked out for their use. Pros This offers a LOT of very useful features to organize meetings. My students love the ability to sign up for office hours, know that they have that slot blocked out for them, and get a reminder email the day before. I get much better utilization of my office hours and the student satisfaction has increased. I also use this for advising meetings and to sign up for shared equipment usage. In every case, the service performs flawlessly. I cannot recommend Youcanbook.me highly enough. In two words 'Brilliant and life-changing' Pros The user-friendly interface, the ability to integrate onto my website, the aesthetic appeal, the functionality, the seamless integration with calendars like Google and the ease in which one can change, reschedule and cancel appointments without missing a beat. Cons Probably the change to the new platform where I can no longer change the button text. I'm not entirely sold on the new interface in the back end. Oh yes, I would appreciate if the calendar profiles on the dashboard were able to be arranged in some order either folders or alphabetical or as they're opened. It was easier the older way. We've expanded its use this year in other services we offer with slightly different business rules and its fit well. Pros It has a pretty good visual workflow editor to setup steps of approval/rejection and alternate paths that the client can follow. Cons I would like an option to make some of the booking calendars view only, but I haven't been able to find that. Also, it appears that it only works with Stripe as payment processor if you are handling payment in-app. I've opened a Stripe account for that usage, but it would have been nice to be able to use other payment processors like Paypal. I was able to set up all I needs -- appointment length, email notification text, blocked times, how the pages were structured, even API/custom field integration so i could pull in ticket IDs from our help desk software to maintain and organize my remote session appointments! Cons I can't say there are too many negatives, I would like to see some more choices for the theming and the ability to allow the user to customize the length of the session, but I know these are paid features, which our company may adopt over time. The easy integration with multiple third parties was very convenient. We improved our overall appointment and scheduling process by using this software. There are a few minor cons however they don't have a major impact on the product. Pros Youcanbook.me is easy to use in most aspects and provides a pleasant experience for our clients. Integration with our Google calender is seamless. Appointments link directly to your calender however clients only see what you provide access to. Youcanbook.me accommodates businesses who need to schedule for more than one person or event. Integrate zoom meetings in a few simple steps. I did not experience any technical issues while using Youcanbook.me. Cons At first I struggled to use the software effectively and realize all of its potential benefits. Youcanbook.me seemed more tailored towards the booking aspect vs the calender and scheduling aspects. For some this may be favorable however it was not for us. It's powerful! Pros From a front-end perspective, I love how Youcanbook.me shows all the options available for booking. For example, users can see that there IS no 9am, because it's greyed out. From a back-end perspective, there's a lot of really cool features. I love that I can set it up so when a client books, I can have it send a email, a text message, fire api code to send a message to me in Slack, etc. I love how much customization (and how easy) it is to modify the endpoints. Cons Their new UX update made the backend a lot easier to navigate. But missing is some power-user stuff. I have 150 appointments, and it only shows me 10 appointments per page. I have to very slowly navigate to see the others, or export it as a CSV. Other appointment generators show it to me in calendar form. The other con is that they allow markdown, but not pure HTML. I wanted the embedded form to trigger a custom javascript function on my site, but I couldn't do it. Granted, it's a bit advanced for 99% of users, but that was disappointing. I did have to do a work around.
