Director E-Learning Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Love the time zone functionality" July 6, 2020 5.0 Easy for me and my clients to use. Pros I choose YouCanBook.me because of how well it works with time zone, both as I move accross time zone (I do need to make adjustments but it's not to hard) and especially for my clients who are in many time zones. It's clear for them and easy to navigate. Cons Occasionally YCBM has trouble cooperating with iCalendar. They say it's an Apple issue, but it's very disconcerting when they've said we will loose functionality. Having said that, I've been warned but never actually experienced dropped functionality with YCBM. One Apple problem that makes it hard is that you can no longer mark all day events as busy from your phone, so if I have a special circumstance, I have to manually block out times. This seems to be an Apple issue, not a YCBM issue (as of Summer 2020 this problem still exists. ) Switched from [SuperSaaS](https://www.capterra.com/p/87751/SuperSaaS-Appointment-Schedule/) time zone help was not as good at the time. I do like and appreciate the ease at which you can embed the calendar on your site - making it seemless for you clients to schedule. You can customize the booking fields to help understand your client before the meeting itself. Cons Booking times are not very customizable. You're limited to specific time blocks with similarly spaced padding (if you have 30 minute booking windows, if you want padding between meetings you also have to have those be 30 minutes). I can simply send an email to a prospect or customer and they can choose a time that works best for them to meet. Cons We have youcanbook.me integrated on our website. Every once in awhile the calendar won't resolve. That might be on our end though. Overall, really happy with this product. It takes a relatively technical background to take advantage of all of the fundationality, since most of it appears to be designed by IT professionals, and for IT professionals. It has made the management of time and manpower SO MUCH EASIER for us. We are a small team, but as we grow, we hope to be able to afford adding additional calendars to our account to take full advantage of the benefits and really streamline our scheduling processes. Pros I really enjoy the features that allow for total control of scheduling and customization that come inherent in this application. The booking process is intuitive and has been easy for our clients to utilize and it has made everything so much easier for our team, from management of resources and time to interacting with our clients from their initial point of contact. Cons I'm not a fan of the price required to set up multiple calendars for overlapping team members on our schedule. The ability to create more than one availability for the overall calendar would be useful if we had multiple people on our team in our office for the entire time that we are open, but that isn't the case. I wish there was a way to create multiple slots for a single time block at a time without having to pay an additional $90 per year to input a whole other calendar. Pros Instead of having to juggle email requests to schedule office hours with students, they simply go to YouCanBookMe and select a time slot. I receive a notification and voila, DONE. Easy peasy. Students like it because they get an instant response. I like it because it saves me time. Cons Canceling a meeting is not intuitive. Students email me if they need to cancel, but they must do it themselves; I can't do it for them (as far as I know). I don't like having No-shows since other students would have taken their slot. It sends text reminders to students (they can opt in/out of this), rescheduling or requesting for a reschedule is super simple, and all the settings available help me customize the experience for both myself and my students. Pros Even the free version is full of features, and the paid version adds super-useful ones. It is quite easy to use and is extremely reliable. It has granular controls and integrates very well with the other platforms that make up our infrastructure. Pros My team and I work with clients all over the world providing language training. To have a platform for learners to book simply is very important. The key features that we like are that it integrates with calaners and has very granular controls. It also does all of the complex time zone adjustment for you. For us it is one of the central components of the service we provide! As all lessons begin with bookings. Cons It is difficult to find cons with YCBM. I spend about 6 months researching and testing many booking platforms, when I was designing the infrastructure of my product range. I chose YCBM, because it was perfect for my needs. No need to log-in with the associated password resets, etc. I love it's integration to Google calendar. I can manage most of my account from Google without needing to log-in to YCBM. Pros Use of Google Calendar as master and no need for customer to log-in to set an appointment. Cons Customer not able to schedule recurring appointments. I love having different sites for different team members and being able to customize everything. Cons I am not great with the details necessary for coding. Pros I liked how easy it was to implement. It took me very little time to get thing sorted and worked out. It integrated with my google calendar quite well, and I was able to do each and every thing I wanted to do. It even meshed with our weird internal way of differentiating calendars. Cons There's no way of knowing how many time slots are available for a given profile, so it's hard to plan accordingly for capacity needed. Entering in calendars is very manual. There's no way of creating a custom google hangout link automatically once a meeting is scheduled.
