CEO Design Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Excellent Platform for Automatic Backup to Servers and Website" December 3, 2022 5.0 My experience with BackupSheep has been very good, it is the solution I had been looking for to be able to automate the backup of all my servers and Website without the need to run it daily.I love the way it notifies me via email and/or Telegram when a backup fails.Its integration with more than 20 software makes life easier for us; software like MySQL, MariaDB, WordPress, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Oracle, Amazon Lightsail, Dropbox, Wasabi, Google Drive, AWS, Blackblaze, OneDrive, etc. Pros It allows us to automate Backup of our servers, Database and web pages in a simple way, without having to write a single line of code.The important thing is that you integrate BackupSheep with your server once so that BackupSheep performs a backup on the days and hours you want and then this works automatically for a lifetime. Cons I am pro security and I would like BackupSheep to implement more Security functions in its Platform, for example, I would like them to include Encrypted Backups, to be able to put passwords on backups, Virus detection. CEO Cosmetics Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Love this backup applcation" February 2, 2023 5.0 It completely solved my need for an off-side backup that I could access without needing our webhost. We backup our database daily and the complete website monthly. It has worked like a charm from day one. Pros I love that Backupsheep is easy to use, price, look, powerful and it offers storage. Basically anyone can setup a custom backup with this tool. When I had a question, support answered this in a matter of hours. No silly chatbot. all in all this tool is very powerful while still being easy to use. Cons At first it can be a bit tricky to setup but once you understand it's actually super easy. Cannot be trusted with your money or data. Pros There is nothing good about the company, they have no support and they cannot be trusted. Cons They violated the terms of the Lifetime deal. Good product" February 1, 2023 5.0 Pros This product does one thing and i does it well. If you have Updraft plus, it allows you to backup your site off server, like google drive. It did save me as the whole server got wiped. But my backup was safe in GDrive. Dont expect it to be a full solution replacing Updraft, its complimentary, and extra step of guarantee that your backup wont be lost. Cons Its not stand alone. I use for multiple wordpress sites, Mautic installations and other open souce systems.Even thought the plataform provides Storage, you should t connect another provider storage to realy be safe using the 3-2-1 Backup Strategy Cons I wold like to see more custom storage integration, like a custom FTP to use with more sources. After it is set up, it automates everything and does an excellent job. No more worrying about losing data, no more manual backups. Cons As a wordpress user, there is no one-click backup option. Its super easy and does the job well. Just Make sure you choose the right region for your backup. Cons The application is good, but it lacks proper documentation. My server is based in Singapore. I chose North America as the region during backup, and the backup was extremely slow and had occasional errors. Once again, I selected Singapore as the backupsheep region and it worked just fine. It has worked flawlessly. Pros I am using BackupSheep to make external backups of numerous WordPress websites for my clients. This works quickly in the background, and does a great job even on some of the heavier sites around 1GB or more. I think it's a great option if you are looking for a flexible backup solution. Cons I have had issues with the scheduler not validating, or accidentally turning off the BackupSheep plugin which would cause it to fail, but otherwise, it's quite solid. All it takes is one time setup to give you peace of mind. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs backup for their website or database in a regular basis Cons Setting up this software is a bit difficult, especially for non-techies.
