I'd say that my experience of evalu8 has been fantastic, it is an ever evolving platform that happens to be very good value for money. The new features are quite frequent and relevant, I find it really refreshing that they take the customer's requests into account when implementing new changes.

Pros

I like the ease of use, the price is very good compared to other HR systems out there as well and the customer support we are given, the support staff are always helpful and reply very quickly. They are also available to hop on a teams interview and deliver training, which is so helpful.

Cons

I wish we could change the colours a bit more to suit or company's logos but that's very much a want and not a need. Some more automation would also be nice.

My experience has been positive. If I have needed support or advice, my queries have always been dealt with quickly either by support ticket or calling the team directly. I would recommend Evalu8 to any small business looking to have a system that takes the head ache out of HR admin.

Pros

As a small business Evalu8 has allowed us to move all of our HR admin onto a platform. No more spreadsheets calculating holiday use, No more spreadsheets tracking sickness data. So much time has been saved to myself and I know the information is real time and accurate. Having contracts, handbooks and policies in one place that everyone can access has also been really useful. We have used the sickness and lateness data in a number of review meetings and its powerful to show the employee their own profiles which has made these conversations easier for our line managers.

Cons

When running reports on absences, I would like to see the system pulling off data for historical employees as well as current. It would also be good a to see an ATS element in the future.

We chose evalu8 as it was more comprehensive than others on the market and was a reasonable price to invest into. Liked that their was no contract length either

Recently, I’ve experienced frequent problems with saving entries, uploading documents, and recording data. Our Health & Safety Officer has also reported several issues with documents not being saved in the training section, but no action has been taken. I was advised that perhaps she didn’t know how to upload them properly, but the process is quite straightforward and doesn't require extensive training.

Pros

The system is user-friendly in the sense that items are generally located where you would expect to find them.

Cons

The custom reports are not truly customisable. When I raised this issue, I was told I could use three different reports to obtain the data I needed, but I am unable to generate the specific report I require because the "custom" reporting function does not allow for that level of flexibility. The system was supposed to work seamlessly with the facial recognition system we had installed, but we are still unable to fully rely on it. HR reports, such as sickness records, often need to be checked and amended manually as they regularly pull incorrect data. For example, figures are inaccurate if someone leaves partway through the month, which have impact on absence/attendance percentage figures. I also notice inconsistencies in attrition figures ect. When generating letters, formatting changes, so everything has to be edited and double-checked manually. I don’t use or create contracts through the system because it would require too much rework. Additionally, there is no audit trail or record of changes made in the system. For instance, if someone changes their shift pattern from a 3-day week to a 5-day week, there is no way to view their previous working pattern once the update has been made. This would also apply to change of address, bank details ect.

Staff are always friendly and pretty helpful. The software is good but could definitely be more accessible for people with disabilities and could be more robust.

Pros

Visually easy to navigate and some good reporting functions. The help centre is always quick to respond

Cons

The app and the desktop site can show different things, although I am told the app is being re-done. The reporting functions could be more robust and easier to navigate. Expenses could be much easier to do (we don't use this function because its not great)

Very good company Training is very thorough, with recordings sent on request for reference Service is excellent, they get back to you promptly. Great platform, that's customizable for the business needs. Competitively priced.

Pros

Easily keep accurate records and notes for all employees. Lots of useful reports. Everything all in one place. Very responsive with service enquiries.

Cons

Have had the odd issue with bulk letter generation.

Once you use it you wonder how you managed without it!

Pros

Its great for the staff clocking in and out on the app, requesting holidays etc. Signing off company documents is easy to use too. All staff records in one place. The support is excellent - reply very quickly.

Cons

Sometimes working out the permissions. Also holiday entitlement when new staff are recruited during the year.

So far we are pleased but do believe we do not get enough use out of it (this is mainly due to multiple changes on our side)

Easy to use on the website (less so on the app).

Ability to create reports in a specific order so it can be used for payroll etc , sometimes you need information from multiple sections which we either don't know how to do or

We’ve had a mixed but mostly positive experience. While there have been delays with critical developments, the support has been strong, and the team is always willing to help. The platform itself is modern and easy to use, and when functioning fully, it streamlines many of our processes. We’re optimistic that with continued improvements, Evalu-8 will become an even more valuable part of our HR toolkit.

Pros

The system is incredibly user-friendly, clean, and visually intuitive. The app is excellent for both employees and managers, with features like Face ID, document access, and holiday booking making things much easier. The team has also been helpful and open to feedback, with some developments already successfully implemented.

Cons

The delay in delivering key developments has been frustrating. Some features, such as audit trails and payroll integration, are essential for compliance and efficiency, and we’ve been waiting over a year. Also, inconsistencies in the calendar week start date across the platform create confusion.

I work in the healhcare setting, in primary care. Evalu -8 is by far the best HR platfom I've used. Everything is on there, policies, enployee info, training certificates etc and you get reminders when your mandatory training is due. Also really helpful when booking leave to see what your colleagues have requested.

Pros

I like how easy the site is to navigate.

Cons

There is nothing i can say i liked least about the platform.

My experience has been over all good, the team are very helpful and responsive to queries. They also are happy to do training sessions on teams which is really nice to refer back to. I have found the system takes some getting used to especially the Evaluations section. I have been using for a year and still have not mastered it, but am confident that I will get the hang of it as there is lots of resource available.

Pros

The process of uploading documents for E sign, it reduces paper usage and allows for documents to be updated quickly. The holiday booking system for employees - really user friendly.

Cons

TOIL function is hard to use lots of hidden function that sometimes you are not aware of Evaluations forms cannot be edited without losing all the data, means there are lots of versions which can be confusing.
