Pros Turtl is very easy to use and the end result always looks very sleek and professional. The way in which the software works also ensures that the final version looks aesthetically pleasing, regardless of whether the user has a lot of design experience. The statistics provided on each Turtl document also make it incredibly easy to measure the success of each communication. Cons Occasionally, the ease of use results in some of the design features seeming limited. However, the development team appear to be regularly working to improve the software, so this is not much of an issue. Insight consultant Research Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "really enjoy working with Turtl" June 4, 2019 4.0 The experience overall has been very positive, the team is quick to help with examples of use cases for the tool or to solve some issues. At times though it seems that the technical support contacts and the account managers do not share all information, so that solutions proposed are not always available for the type of license we have - would be great to have a unitary view from the team on what is possible. Pros I find the tool really intuitive and easy to use. Also feedback from the readers of the reports I make with Turtl is very positive regarding readability and easy of navigating through the reports. I also find the detailed analytics really helpful to track engagement of readers and to further improve content. The regular EGG tips newsletter is also much appreciated Cons I am not the decision maker and the license that my organization has contracted does not cover all features, which would be great. It's really interesting to hear your feedback about the PDF documents - as you mentioned, Turtl can really bring the content to life with interactive features such as videos and polls, these aren't available in PDFs because they are static and don't allow reader interaction, so we really encourage moving away from static formats. Pros I love the functionality and flow of the presentation tool. The picture database is also wonderful. We have found many uses in telling stories in a new way and appreciate the ability to create gates around the stuff we want. Cons Editing the template and fonts. Pros The end product looks great!!! As you are developing your content and seeing it come to life in the tool, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Cons I would say one of the biggest cons are how you can't do mass changes very well. In MS Office products, you can search for a particular word and do a replace. It feels like it should act more like PPT, but I am sure that not having a thick client version limits the capability. Customer service and technical support staff are responsive and helpful. I've been very happy with the Turtl docs I've created thus far. Pros Really appreciate that there's an option out here to help non-designers present our content in an interactive, nicely formatted way -- without needing to be a designer ourselves! The tool does require a brief learning curve, but overall, it's intuitive. Cons There are a few limitations in design, for example with the front and back covers. It doesn't allow true customization, and we need to choose from templated designs. I'd love to see more design options that we can customize. Analysing the results further than an email software is exciting too. The training tips are very easy to follow and are inspiring. Cons it's addictive! June 20, 2017 5.0 Pros Innovative platform which presents information in a much more engaging and compelling way, relative to PowerPoint presentations or PDFs. It's very easy to use, so you can create high quality, on-brand content very quickly. This means we can deliver better quality content and more of it. The analytics are also very useful and insightful. Cons Only downside is the cost. While setup costs are reasonable, ongoing licence fees are expensive and it is priced by number of users, so it becomes prohibitively expensive to deploy across the organisation. Pros The UI/UX is intuitive and easy to use. I also love that analytics tracking is included in the platform so you can measure each piece of content you create.
