March 10, 2025 4.0 My experience with the software has been good. I have used it for both personal and professional work and the quality of the video and the audio has been excellent. Numerous times I have been able to seamlessly connect with my colleagues and never miss out important information even when network speed was slow. Only downside is it's pricing and limitations with free version. Pros The quality of the video and audio is very good, even during low network speed the video quality never drops. Another good thing is how easy it is to use on cross platforms. Whether on mobile or on laptop. It work flawlessly. The need for in depth conversation can arise multiple times with each client. GoTo has the personal feel of meeting face to face without the inconvenience of asking clients to come to the office. Starting a call is almost as easy as a phone call. I get an affordable price and great features. If you need or want to save your call recordings within the app, this is the one I recommend. GoTo Meeting is secure too. Pros GoTo Meeting is an affordable and reliable app for video calls and conferences. The app pretty much always works as expected. Anything that does arise can be expedited by using the 24/7 phone support. Setup was minimal even for me as an account holder. Clients aren't required to create an account and GoTo Meeting is available on every platform I'm aware of. All of the tools and features are easy to use. The interface is simple, also easy to use. Personally, I love the unlimited storage GoTo Meeting provides. Saving the call recording is important and useful to me. The saved files are easy to find as well. Multiple users and/or devices are permitted under one subscription. In app messaging and Private Messaging is something else I really love. Another standout feature for me was the fade feature with the on screen pen. I can highlight a portion of my screen, then without further action it will fade and the client can see the whole screen without obstruction. It's also worth mentioning that I can share my entire screen or only a specific window. Cons GoTo Meeting is affordable, however I wish there were a broader range of plans. I pay for features I don't really need just to get the unlimited cloud storage. I'd prefer to see it available as an add on to the standard plan. While it's not something I use often, I do want a good whiteboard added in GoTo. We just pivoted towards Zoom because our organization voted on that platform after a year with GoTo Meeting. Pros GoToMeeting was great for us during Covid when we had to quickly pivot to remote work and trainings. Cons I think there wasn't anything wrong with GoTo Meeting, but when Zoom came out, it seemed more elevated and appealing to the eye. The integrations were not up to par yet. It is easy to set up meetings and send out invitations. I think they try to be a low cost ZOOM and attract customers through a very low price, but understand every part of their operation is low quality, especially their management team. Pros Nothing - its truly awful. I did my best to give it a chance over a long period, but it just got worse. Cons Go meeting make it exceptionally difficult to cancel your subscription. Whilst you can sign up online, you cannot cancel online and have to go through their telephone support system. Expect to wait 30 to 60 minutes and then expect to be bounded between departments - without doubt its their strategy to keep charging your card year after year. Pros The integration with HubSpot is extremely easy and convenient as well as the overall setup within GoTo Meeting. Straight forward when using the platform for the first time. Cons Managing participants and the different communication is more robust than with other webinar platforms. The video recording doesn't show the presenter, only the slides and I would like the option to see the host as well in the recording. I wouldn't even say there are pros and cons compared to Zoom, Teams, or Google Meets. I will say it's easier than Zoom and Teams. I'm not sure what a free site would offer for users, but the multiple frames and options are more confusing that beneficial; furthermore, to change or re-arrange not intutive at first. Better use of space and keeping things simple is currently the best practice. Pros For me, a savvy app navigator, I was able to get through relatively easily and work the basic functions like chat. The ability to directly message others is beneficial, but I had to explain to the other that they need to switch back to the main meeting in order to chat with the entire group (she responded to me vice the group from a group questions). Cons It seems it may be good for the organizer, but for the user, it's not intuitive. Older generations may have a tough time with it since they are not as savvy, and when an app looks so different in layout/format, it's confusing of where things are.
