November 19, 2021 5.0 My overall experience with GoToMeeting has been good and enjoyable. I have had almost no problems with this software therefore, I recommend it to small companies due to the tools it offers work very well and are easy to use. Pros What I like the most about GoToMeetings is the quality with which both my video and audio are transmitted in meetings. From my point of view, the tools that this software offers are for professional use. However, I have used this software for personal use and the experience has been pleasant because I have not had problems or bad experiences with the tools or the meetings due to they are easy to schedule. Cons What I like least about GoToMeetings is that you must have a good internet bandwidth so that all its tools work correctly and you do not have problems in the development of the meeting. Personally, it has only happened to me twice in which the application crashed because the internet left but it has not happened any more. Remote control from anywhere is handy for IT guys as they are able to sort out PCs without being together inperson, by just accessing the laptop/PC remotely. The meetings are easier to create and invite attendees and they also are able to join without any difficulties, just a click. Easily customizable to my needs. Pocket friendly, its reasonably priced compared with other similar softwares. The free version is very useful especially for first timers and small upcoming businesses. The connection is stable, it has never crashed for 3 years I have been using it. It doesn't allow you to double book your meetings, its error free. The UI is intuitive and user-friendly. Video conferencing is very smooth through the process, easy to navigate. Customer Support is a phone call away and easily accessible. They continually keep their product up-to-date, and their platform looks clean and crisp and professional. I haven’t had problems with the links like I do with other platforms. Also, the audio is good, which can be a problem on other platforms. Pros This software allows me and my team to meet virtually from any location quickly and easily with just a link in an email. It also allows me to take training from different companies within my industry. The chat feature is convenient, and not in the way. I can easily hide it and then bring it back, with just a click of a button. This is not the case on other platforms. I also like how it can be set up with the presenter on top, and their screenshare beneath. I do not have to worry about being distracted by other individuals video screens or the chat feature constantly popping up and notifying me. I also like how easy it is to use in terms of joining the meeting quickly through the phone or through my computer. Cons There really isn’t anything that I dislike about this software. The mobile apps run great and won't dissapoint. The addins to install on PC and Mac are lighweight and install very quickly and it still leads when connecting to different IT environments (we have never experienced having issues with a customer when using GoTo Meeting in their network), something that some remote meeting softwares haven't been able to achieve. Pros GoTo Meeting was our first selection when having remote meeting within our company untill last year (2019). It just works as expected, does not consume too many (computing and network) resources and works on most IT environments (incluiding our customer's). The addins install quick and easy and the sharing features are great. It usually has an admin that creates the meeting and the meeting needs to be started by the admin. Has all the basic features you would need to have a remote meeting (audio - video, screen sharing, inmersive chat, Q&A, participants list, some controls, etc) but it doesn't have had too many updates for some time and lacks some features we have found productive (whiteboard, for example). Cons The software works great. Nevertheless, we have found some features in other remote meeting software that could make it ideal: have anyone in your organization be able to have admin rights (create meetings, start meetings, change meeting configurations, etc) and some features that nowadays might be very useful (whiteboard, a note taking module to be able to take notes and share them when the meeting ends, more options to connect audio - to name a few). Go To meeting solves this problem by providing an easy-to-use program for everyone to be able to not only meet on a conference call to discuss important issues but to be able to see each other. Some of our superintendents never meet each other face to face and being able to put a voice or name to a face is important in our industry. Pros We started using this during Covid Quarantine in 2020 while our entire office was working from home. We ended up continuing to use it for our weekly/ monthly meetings as well as for HR interviews. We have several offices throughout the nation and we also locally have many of our superintendents working in the field who are unable to come to the office to attend meetings. This tool helped us to be able to invite employees to our meetings that normally would miss out. I love that it can be used on a computer or phone, this is a convenience that was very much needed for field employees who may not be able to make it to their site computers. I also love that you can share your screen! We are able to share spreadsheets, which not only helps keep everything organized but also helps keep everyone on the same page! With this solution I can keep meetings or presentations everywhere in the World where I have Internet connection. The sound can be by Internet or phone call, I can share my screen ot my webcam, and aldo I can save the meeting, to keep track of it. Pros I've tried other solutions and for me the best from this solution is how easy is to access to the conference for my customer. Just one click and they are inside the conference. Cons I would like to send invitations to my customers from the same interface instead than copy&paste the content of the access. It has plugins with main mail solutions like outlook and GMail, but sometimes because I am in a customer with firewall email rules that don't let me access to my server from outllok but only by webmail, I have to create the conference form one site copy&paste and send the invitations from my webmail. It allowed us to do everything we needed to do without being complicated. Pros GoTo Meeting has a lot of features that are essential for collaborating on projects and training. The screen sharing and real time chat are the two features that are the most important. The chat allows quick responses when there are a lot of participants or the ability to quickly share links for additional information. The screen sharing makes training and collaborating on projects possible. This allowed continued work during the COVID-19 pandemic and even now has allowed meetings with people in different locations possible. Cons The only thing I had issues with was the sound.
