We also use it to train customers on new software. Pros Easy to use software that allows us to conduct remote meetings with employees and potential customers. Customers do not need any experience with the software and can log in with a few clicks of their mouse. Cons No complaints about the software. Pros When I am hosting a meeting in the GoToMeeting platform it allows me some cool features mentioned below: 1) It allows me to fully control the equipment of participants. 2) It allows me to share the document on-screen during the meeting. 3) I can host meeting for large participants up to 250 participants. Cons When I am hosting a meeting in the GoToMeeting platform it allows me some bad or restriction features mentioned below: 1) It requires a stable internet connection all-time for a smooth meeting. 2) It has some chat function limitation that is I can not create a chatroom of my company for my team collaborates before joining the meeting. January 16, 2018 3.0 Pros GoToMeeting is intuitive and easy to setup a meeting with little to no training. If you're looking for a software to just have group meetings and/or webinars on, this is a fine software for that. Cons The price point used to be higher and has since come down making it more reasonable. Outside of the basic features to create and host group meetings, there's not much you can do with this software. We ended up leaving GoToMeeting for a competitor due to this lack of functionality and convenience. There are also some smaller detail functions that are available with competitors that GoToMeeting doesn't have or they've made it counter-intuitive to access those features. That you can talk to them and see them seems more real more personal that you can see them and talk very happy use it all the time. Cons As with other tech solutions who relies heavily on the quality of internet connections, the audio and video quality is as good as users' connection. So lags and chops are to be expected. Users are also required to download and use a specific software before connecting to the meetings, so not as elegant as the pure browser-based solution. Much better that phone only meetings or required travel to attend meeting in person. Needs to be cloud based app instead of a download. Pros Very easy to use. Low cost which is great for a small business with multiple remote workers. Ability to lock the meeting is very useful. Easy to create a meeting. Cons Not cloud based. You need to download the product onto each computer. If some of your colleagues are not computer competent, it can take some time. Falling behind their competitors in this space. Pros GoToMeeting has a nice user interface that is easy to use and makes onboarding easy. Cons Linux desktop clients do not exist. Clients that are there are only for Mac and Windows. Supported browser is only Chrome, Firefox is not supported and it is one of the major browsers used. These issues limit the number of users that can use the software. Setup that occurs at https://logmeininc.com/ is an issue, especially for the free account. On accessing , https://myaccount.logmeininc.com/ I get the message "We were unable to load some elements on this page." The help dialog box that shows up has no close button thus rendering some parts of the page not visible. Review Source BW Bryce W. If you are looking for a screen sharing conference call software, it’s pretty hard not to fall in love with GoToMeeting! Pros The thing I like most is that it syncs flawlessly with the google calendar. I use it on most every sales call I do. It offers you the option to share your screen, record interactions, see who is speaking, and even change the person who is driving the session. It’s a familiar software anyone can use, and it’s easy for people unfamiliar with it to log in and use it the first time. Cons It’s basically good. I get annoyed sometimes with the alert/notification messages, as they get a little aggressive. But I’m sure I could adjust that in the settings. Review Source Huy T. This is a nice little added benefit of the program. Pros GoToMeeting is great for video conferences. Scheduling and inviting guests is very easy in the desktop app. I like that I can easily switch between the screens I'm sharing when presenting. I also like that I get to choose whether my audio comes from my computer or by calling in. Cons While it is fairly easy to use, some of my guests have trouble navigating the app. I also tend to forget where the button to invite more guests is at times, so I guess the interface could be a little more intuitive. Cons When collaborating with external customers it is really difficult when they do not have the application downloaded in their laptop as they open the GoToMeeting webpage and it causes lag when screen sharing. We use both GoToMeeting and Google Hangouts but only use GoToMeeting for meetings with clients. The phone options are more reliable and the recording feature is sometimes key. GoToMeeting is a well established company and the software is reliable. Cons For internal meetings, Google Hangouts is much easier to use because meetings can quickly be setup by one click on the fly. Pros GoToMeeting integrates well with scheduling applications (Outlook, Google) and makes the process of scheduling meetings easy. The solution works well enough. Cons Setup is often not as flawless as other products and the client needs to be downloaded when there's an update. For Mac it has a standalone launcher and is not integrated as easily. Reason for choosing GoTo Meeting It initially offered good value, but ultimately we decided to switch to Zoom. Review Source Louise F. I highly recommend. Pros I love being able to connect to my team, especially by sharing screens, when I am working remotely. I live a little more than an hour from my office and have the ability to work from home once a week. This software is a tremendous help and enables my team to overcome roadblocks of us all not being in the office at the same time. Cons No cons. Setting up calls is easy, as well as sharing screens. I don't know what we did before our office had this product.
