As a non-profit, we watch our dollars and GoToWebinar, although not the cheapest, is reasonably priced and includes an unlimited video library and a license for GoToMeeting. We have been using it since 2018 and it definitely provides the capability we need to present online meetings and events to our membership and beyond. Pros We chose GoToWebinar because it is a stable and secure platform. Webinars and events are easy to set up and it included GoToMeeting at no additional cost. Cons Since the pandemic, Zoom has become the standard and most presenters are familiar with Zoom and less familiar with GoToWebinar, so practices are usually required to familiarize the presenters. Attendees are also used to having reaction emojis, which are not included in GoToWebinar and a third party software is needed to add a different background. Pros The download and setting up was quite easy.The interface is amazing. There was not much lagging. The customer service was very responsive. Registration customization was easy and I like the features. The audio and video quality was good. I also love the on-demand feature, it increased my reach and ROI. Cons The basic version didn't have everything I needed,like more participants. The premium is a little high, you know. Pros Go to Webinar is easy to use, especially if the software is already installed on your device. When you are having back-to-back meetings, you need the ability to log-in quickly, not wait several minutes for software to download. In a matter of seconds, the webinar is streaming on whatever device I am using. It was an easy add in to use for our business and a popular platform that our customers are comfortable using. Voice clarity is always good and you do not have to strain to hear the speakers. The ability to join with a url link is a definite plus as well. Cons It would be helpful if there were more metrics used to gather participant data so you could sort the data by more categories (example: dates viewed). Also with it I don't need an account to join the meetings. What an incredible tool. I really love it Pros Goto webinar simplicity is next level. It's intuitive interface makes it easy even for invitees to join the conferences from anywhere without struggles. I engage on any device may it be my desktop, phone or even tablet. Planning topnotch virtual events is also quite easy with it through the pre planning and event promotion through the Goto stage. Scheduling is flexible for one time events, series of events or even create demand for recorded webinars . One can quickly create a new event using inbuilt templates and previous settings and custom registration forms for invites. Branding of hospitals events for personalization by adding the logo and colour is of importance to us. During the webinar engaging with presenters is through the dahboards which happens asap , interactive polls and even virtually raising of hands to get the presenters attention. It also support multiple presenters who can share their webcams . Other than that the audio is excellent and visuals are in hd to give the maximum number of attendees and amazing experience during the meeting.Goto webinar also give insights on the attendance reports and overall goodness of events. It's an excellent tool that has continued to improve over the past few years and has awesome reporting features that are required for the courses I use this software for. As with anything, there are a few things that could be added to make the program better, but in my opinion it's the best webinar software available. Pros GoToWebinar has so many different features available that allow you to create a custom event that fits all your needs. You can make your event unique before it starts by customizing your webinar descriptions, feature images, confirmation emails, registration pages, poll questions, handouts...the list goes on. But you can also make on-the-fly changes during your webinar by adding handouts, editing/adding poll questions, changing attendee permissions, and more. Cons GoToWebinar's registration confirmation emails frequently go to spam, and this issue causes me additional work. Pre-event, I have to reach out separately to attendees to confirm they received their link, and if not, manually copy/paste their webinar link and email it directly. I also frequently have to field calls and emails during the beginning of the webinar for registrants that don't have their link to join. Executive Director Leisure, Travel & Tourism Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Deteriorating tech support on what was once an amazing service :(" October 21, 2019 4.0 We've used GoToWebinar for many years, going all the way back to the days when we had to use a Dynametric box hooked to our computers to record webinars (you couldn't record them off the screen). We've loved GoToWebinar, because webinars are an integral part of our business. Over the years, the tech support was phenomenal - live operators answering quickly when you call, and they were true experts in the software - we never waited for the very occasional hiccups to get fixed. Over the past 2 years, though, the technical problems now occur about twice a month - a recording stopping with no warning in the middle of the webinar, a presenter's phone line suddenly dying, stuff like that. When we call in, it's painfully obvious that the tech support folks are pretty new to GoToWebinar. They don't know the product, and as a result it takes twice or three times as long to talk with them, and too often the answer is "We're not sure why that happened." Today, I was told that GoToWebinar doesn't keep a record of the presenter's assigned phone number (that GoToWebinar itself sends out for us!), and it was my job to call my presenter and ask if by chance he kept the GoToWebinar email that shows the dial-in number he was sent. (And, I had to do it within 24 hours.) We've loved GoToWebinar, but we're actively looking for another product due to the huge dropoff in tech support now being offered. Pros GoToWebinar is very easy to use in setting up webinar sessions, adding dial-in numbers for other countries, and downloading both reports (Q&A, attendance) and the webinar videos. Also, the cost is very competitive compared to other webinar services. Cons Since LogMeIn purchased GoToWebinar a couple of years ago, we've experienced a huge increase in technical snafus - the audio line for presenters dropping without notice, the recording of a live webinar suddenly stopping in mid-session with no warning, etc. Despite our ongoing requests for tech support to fix these issues, they continue happening. Also, the new tech support teams that came on when LogMeIn bought the company don't seem to know the GoToWebinar product well at all. We can hear them on our tech support calls flipping pages looking for answers, and in many cases we've had to help them by giving them answers to questions such as where to find the Past Events on our account screens. :( We were told by tech support today that, because GoToWebinar has gone completely web based, the company has only a 24-hour window to track and fix any tech problems with a webinar before the data files for that live session disappear forever. Pros I enjoy the Goto mobile app because it enables me to remain connected to group conference calls even when my mobile network is unreliable. It uses less bandwidth and is meant to prevent interruptions during conference calls. I have access to a pdf tool that enables me to capture many sets of presentations at once during screen-sharing sessions. Cons When starting or joining video conference calls with the Goto web browser application, I frequently suffer significant latency. It frequently results in system problems, which are complicated if numerous participants attend a single conference.
