It is reliable and dependable, having been around for years. Cons GoTo Webinar doesn't have the cache that other platforms have, so some users may not view it as a well-regarded platform or be familiar with how to use it, but it is so simple to use that is easily overcome. Although coming with a somewhat sizable annual licensing cost, it's been a very cost-effective method for us to expand our reach to both current customers and prospects. Pros We conduct about 2-3 webinars per month, soliciting both customers and prospects to our online events. We've run into some issues and difficulties, specifically around capturing, encoding, and accessing video but have enjoyed a positive experience overall. I love the fact we can capture registrations through our marketing automation platform and pass the registration details on to GoToWebinar via a simple application connector. The ease of use around integration makes for very easy setup, execution, and follow-up. The reporting features have gotten much better over the years, with the ability to glean helpful insights regarding things like attendee engagement much easier than they used to be. Cons The ability to brand your webinars is somewhat limited, with only a single template and limited information that can be provided for items like the opening screen attendees see while on hold. Similarly, the branding associated with reminder and follow-up emails is very limited, forcing us to use our our platform for promotion and follow-up. Review Source NC Nancy C. It’s not our favorite, but the cost is right and it gets the job done. I am happy they are expanding functionality in the analytics space and hoping they’re recent rebrand will give us a more positive experience. Pros The ability to upload prerecorded videos and webinars to display, and the pre-arranged email confirmations. We can also integrate it with our registration. Cons The UX design is outdated and very little is intuitive to the user, especially as we introduce new guests into webinars. The settings aren’t great when determining panelist vs. attendee. Customer support isn’t easy to reach. You can’t host more than one webinar at a time. You can easily create custom meeting links with it if you want. Call others during the meeting. You can hide your number from GoTo Meeting call Me so that no one can disturb you later. Its security features keep your video communications safe. Pros You can use the application from any device (desktop, mobile, tab) simultaneously to record and share meetings. You can join meetings directly from Slack, Google Calendar, Microsoft, etc. It has a webcam gallery and skin sharing on the same skin. Cons I have no complaints about the GoTo meeting. But as a small entrepreneur, its prize seems a bit high to me. But it is toll-free in more than 50 countries and 14 days return in case of a business meeting. The software has also undergone some recent upgrades which has also enhanced the UX significantly. Pros As a HubSpot user, the integration with our CRM is one of the best things about GoTo. Generating new leads and tracking them throughout the sales cycle is key to tracking ROI and this duo is great for that. It also allows us to connect to forms and lead capture popups so it's even easier to generate leads for webinars. The platform itself also gives you a decent amount of analytics and insights into webinar engagement, easy access to recordings, etc. Cons The presenter control panel is a little archaic and not super intuitive but you get used to it over time. It would also be great if the Q&A section in this panel was also a little more user-friendly. It's not uncommon we have more than one person on the back end typing answers to questions/helping the presenter moderate so having a way to 'claim' or 'assign' an inbound question during a webinar would be very useful. It is relatively simple to use & makes putting on a small to mid-size webinar a breeze. If you are showing a PowerPoint or webpage during the webinar, the screen sharing feature works great. Cons GoTo Webinar is lacking some features that I think would make it a next level platform. One of these being the option to customize the wait screen at the start of the webinar. I wish we could drop in the presenters’ names, titles, and pictures so attendees could see that before the webinar started. Another feature that is lacking is the control the organizers have. It would be nice to have the option to turn off AND ON webcams/mics for presenters. I understand the potential issues with the presenters not being ready to be on Camera or something, but it would limit some of the frustrations I face when working with older presenters. I wish I would've known more about their polling feature and the ability to upload a webinar recording to play during the webinar. Pros GoToWebinar makes it so simple to setup all of our webinars for current customers and new customer we're onboarding. They've recently updated their design to a fresh new look that's even more intuitive to use. They have lots of powerful reports and allow you to create surveys and easily run polls. Cons Their Help Center was a bit lacking with a few questions I had, however when I called their support team I got a pretty quick answer and they were able to answer all of my questions easily. We host about 10-20 webinars a year and GoToWebinar has made hosting these events a breeze. We love being able to play videos that have been previously uploaded. That new feature has been a game changer for us. Pros We have used a lot of web conferencing tools at my company and GoToWebinar/GoToMeeting is the best of the bunch. It's by far the easiest to use. Setting up a webinar is a breeze, adding panelist and organizers is easy and the few features such as playing recorded webinars makes my team's job much, much easier. Cons Like all web conferencing software, connectivity can be an issue. We have experienced dropped calls, people being unable to log in, loaded videos not playing. This can be frustrating; however, GoToWebinar has far less issues than any of the other products we've used (On24, Webex, Teams). I wish it offered a few more features and had a more updated, modern look. They've recently updated their user interface in the backend, but the actual webinar software could use some updating as well. Pros GTW does get the job done. We're able host our events with limited slip-ups. Cons The functionality leaves a bit to be desired. There are some features GTW is lacking compared to competitors and when the tools has changed, we weren't given any warning and some of our defaults were changed leading to complications for our next webinar. It makes navigation easy to do your tasks like sharing relevant content, muting/ unmuting an individual, having a video conversation. Unlike zoom, there is no restriction with maximum number of participants. Recording feature is another feature that I extensively use to keep all my interactions with clients recorded. Cons Its Q&A panel can be improved further. Many a times, questions are missed out as it never blinks or highlights whenever a new question is posted by participant in the panel. Connectivity is almost never a problem for me or my colleagues. The quality of the line is always above-average, and there is virtually no lag in the screen share. Cons I do feel that, sometimes, there are pieces of functionality that other connectivity solutions have that GoTo does not--ability to "whiteboard" easily, share multiple screens/users, etc. That would be a significant differentiation in the market.
