Cons Main con is there should be additional resilience with the app/service on the machines. Sometimes when there is an error the dashboard should have better clarity on what the error is and if it was catastrophic or not. As we know some errors will not prevent restoration from occurring. Also, needing to access the manager from device or remotely can potentially be an issue. The cloud-first backup approach makes deployment much simpler compared to traditional backup appliances, and the dashboard gives a clear view of backup status across multiple devices and clients. I like that it helps reduce the amount of manual checking needed, while still giving enough detail to quickly identify failed backups, storage usage, and protected systems. The recovery options are also straightforward, which is huge when time matters. Cons The main downside is that there can be a learning curve when first getting familiar with the portal, policies, and restore options. Some settings are not always as obvious as they could be, especially for newer technicians who have not worked with the product before. Reporting and alerting could also be a little more customizable so teams can better match the notifications to their internal workflow.
