I created a phone app where I log the jobs, client's data, prices, etc. I export the specific xl sheets to process payroll and keep track of financials. I'm not a techie person but this app let me do what I spent a few years looking for but couldn't find. Pros It is very easy to create a database, and it's easy for end-users also. The screens and navigation are all user-friendly. Its cross-platform and offline capabilities on iOS make is a standout product, and the support from the Developers is excellent. Great online community too. Cons Some of the coding behind the scenes isn't as straightforward as VBA, and some of the functions aren't entirely intuitive, but after ready some tutorials, it becomes apparent. Customer support is solid, and they are continuing to improve the instruction manual. I haven't had any issues with the Ninox cloud being unavailable. Overall a very stable product. It's an amazing software. It's simple, easy to set up, and for its price, they have a great customer service support which is one of the most important things when buying new software. Pros The software itself is great for its value, it's very easy to get going with your own database and set it up suited to your needs, simple, easy, and far from complicated. Their customer service support is stellar, I've had a few questions and issues and they've reached out to me in no time and helped me solve all the problems I had. Cons The only con I have experienced so far: It doesn't have the functionality to import images in a "batch" setup to match with records in the database where a field is reserved for an image. It is easy to get started and the templates and forum are really good, though it is easy to lose a great deal of time in the forum. Because I'm not really an administrator person. I'm just a freelance designer. I have MORE than enough with Ninox to create my invoice, to archive my expenses, clients, taxes database… I'm not using Ninox on a daily basis. Just when a new client appear, or when a new invoice is needed (sometimes with weeks in between). Cheap, easy, powerful enough, robust. Perfect for something like me. Pros I love the easy of use. There were some field types missing from earlier versions of this software that I missed but these have now been added in the latest update and work very well. Pros That it can be used on iPhone, iPad and a Mac is a killer feature for me: data available everywhere. Of course: the formulas can be produced only on the mac - but can be used everywhere. And that is a often seen characteristic in other apps too: The mac to produce datas, the mobiles to view them. In this case: the mobile can be used to generate data - but without changing the data model - what seems reasonable. Cons the manual must be searched on the ninox homepage.
