This should be the second tax software product that you purchase after your income tax software. Pros CFS provides several programs that help tax professionals to maintain productivity. CFS Tax Tools is most helpful for quickly filling-in Power of Attorney forms -- IRS 2848 and CA Form 3520. It also allows you to quickly print envelopes to clients and government agencies in whatever way desired. It also has a long list of worksheets to help resolve client's questions. CFS Small Business Tools provides fill-in forms for business entities. So if you have a simple or zero return to file on paper, there is no variable cost. CFS Payroll System allows you to create and print 1099 forms. It's best if you need complete control over this process, or prepare a large volume of forms because there is no variable cost. 1099 Efiling is also available. Cons Sometimes the printing process is tricky. For example, if you are trying to print envelopes and you change printers, then the setting returns to default -- #9 Envelope. Very professional looking. Pros Fill N Print forms are very easy to use. I especially appreciate being able to find a specific form by form number of brief description. It is sorted by Federal forms or by specific states. Once an entity or individual is set up, it's as easy as importing information into each form. It also blocks fields that auto calculate so summing errors are not made. Cons This software does not allow you to email a completed form. I can print and scan or save to PDF and send but cannot email directly from the form. I rated customer service as a 3, which is only because I have never contacted them, so that rating may be unfair. They may even have a solution to my email con, but since I have a workaround, I have never taken the time to contact CS.
