Since we made the switch to WeTravel, we have saved time with our initial trip setup, as well as the day to day management of trips. Getting time back so that you can spend it on other things is a huge win. As I have learned to utilize all that the software has to offer, everyone I have talked to/worked with has been incredibly helpful.

Pros

WeTravel is incredibly intuitive to use and the customer service is amazing! Our dedicated agent \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is fantastic and keeps me informed about new features as they are added, so that I am getting the most use out of the platform. The ability to either customize an trip or work off of a "stock template" has been great. There are so many great features that are offered, I simply can't list them all! So getting an easy to use platform (for both us and our customers) with an amazing amount of tools to work with has been a game-changer for our company.

Cons

As of now, I don't know as though I have anything I don't like about the software!

Pros

The simplicity of use is one of the main reasons why this product has been so successful. It is easy to learn and use, and does not require any special technical knowledge. The straightforward design makes it accessible to everyone, from beginners to more experienced users. This is especially true of the mobile version, which makes it even easier for everyone to use on the go.

Cons

Cannot delete all images in one go when a trip is copied. Can't file different trips into groups.

Pros

I love the ability to create packages and itinerary, send them to my clients, and have them to do everything else from there, with minimal interaction from myself.

Cons

I utilize WeTravel for my safari company and my travel agency. On the travel agency side, I just wish there was a way to collect credit card information to pay suppliers without doing a transaction on WeTravel. On TravelJoy the feature is called "supplier payment" and it's designed to pay suppliers via their website. Everything is encrypted and you have to enter your password in order to view the card and billing information.

Travel Joy isn't in the drop down, but I switched from Travel Joy. I had issues with processing international payments to suppliers. Travel Joy only allows USD and the itineraries just look way better on WeTravel.

WeTravel solves my most urgent and important payment needs: to process group bookings and securely process credit card payments. I like that the booking page looks professional, and I'm excited to try to integrate payment links into my actual website. All that said, my experience has been a little rocky and there are still tons of improvements that they site can implement - hopefully these will come in the future. For the moment, I don't have a better solution to WeTravel so I will keep using it; but I wish a lot of things about it were easier overall.

Pros

The most critical aspect for my business was to process credit card and bank transfer payments online, electronically, and securely for groups traveling together. WeTravel lets us do this and has a handy feature to accommodate deposits and installment payments. I like that they added in carbon offsets but don't like that this has to be set at the same level for all travelers in a certain trip.

Cons

I get that it's a "freemium" model but there are quite a few aspects that really hamstring you as a free user (such as they won't remove the WeTravel insurance recommendation even though this is something my company offers to clients as well). But, I find the starting monthly price way too expensive for a small business. Their photo experience on listings is especially terrible. It's hard and time-consuming to get fully verified. I don't like the commission they take for bank transfers (credit cards make sense). Customer support can be a little hit or miss. Sometimes the site is just glitchy. Handling discounts/promos is confusing with WeTravel.

Reason for choosing WeTravel

WeTravel came on my radar right when I was looking for a way to process credit card payments for group travel bookings, and the free version solves my immediate problem. I honestly am not sure of alternative products.

Near immediate payments after bookings, multiple room types/price points, ACH options for clients to avoid CC fees

Cons

The vendor payment process, getting set up as a vendor, and the overall design of Wetravel pages leaves a lot to be desired. We really could use the ability to create promo code types by room type to run sales on less desirable rooms and Wetravel doesn't have this functionality. The widgets do not play well with Squarespace sites, which is fine if you're on Wordpress.

We use WeTravel since its beginnings for payment processing and online bookings. The lower cost of credit card payments has led to an increase in sales. The sales and booking process has also become faster.There are always new and helpful features, which is an important plus for a tech company.

Pros

Easy to use for us as a company and our clients. They can now safely book our tours online with a few clicks.WeTravel is always developing new features and does a lot for the tourism community, thanks to their webinars and learning platform. They understand the tourism sector's needs and stay ahead of the game.Excellent costumer service.

Cons

I hope WeTravel will expand further, many of our business partners still don't use it.

We are not a fintech company, and wetravel provides a solution that is very tailored to what we do. As an educational tour operator, we have heavy scrutiny not only on the user experience but on collecting sensitive student data, and with Wetravel we know that we are always in compliant with the requests of our University partners.

Pros

Wetravel allows our business to focus on providing the service that is needed and takes care of our user registration, payment processing etc in a very seamless way. It is easy to train team members, provides a great user experience, and simply embeds in our website.

Cons

Wetravel does a great job adding features on a continuous basis. There seems to be some confusion with users coming back to the platform, causing double registrations on certain programs as the user often forgets that they already made a wetravel account and registered for a trip.

The initial setup was OK for our first account (our model is servicing client's in their brand). Wetravel does not allow 'sub-accounts' or branding. When we attempted to stand up a second account, we were asked for the same information needed for the first account in order to be 'verified'. I explained to an account Rep our business model, but we were again asked over and over for the information previously provided. This was duly provided, but they requested again and again information that had already been supplied for this second account (as well as the first one).We did successfully run several trips, transacting tens of thousands of Dollars without further issue.Some 9 months after setting up our accounts, the platform was locked down without any notice - preventing customers from being able to submit payment. 2 days later we were sent a canned email saying our accounts were being closed completely in 14 days. No reason was provided, the note stated the decision was non-negotiable. Again, no notice of why was provided, indeed no response at all was provided. Again, this occurred in the middle of active bookings which has been both incredibly damaging to our reputation, our client's brand and created a very unprofessional situation for all concerned.Upon querying with our 'account rep', he advised he had no information as to the reason why and did not respond further.I am beyond dumbfounded.

Pros

Fairly easy to use, but basic in features, functional in intent.

Cons

Opaque pricing, full cost is not made obvious (higher transaction rate), incredibly onerous 'verification' process, no real support only canned responses, if someone is monitoring responses they are not responding.

We are overjoyed that we can ditch lying, thieving merchant account companies. WeTravel helps keep our reservations organized. The brochures downloads and leads were a big surprise that we were surprised worked. Payment options and auto bill is so helpful. We are power users interacting with WeTravel every day so we are pushing the boundaries of it's design and will always sound disappointed but really we do love it.

Pros

More secure, easy to use payment processing. API helpful to pull in data to our backend systems. Layout of the "Tour Detail Page" is nice and admin UI is a little wonky but it's growing better.

Cons

We can't embed the Tour Detail Page into our own website. We have to send clients to WeTravel to book. I don't mind promoting that we use weTravel but to take visitors out of our "world" is hard on navigation and user experience. Takes a while to get customer support. WeTravel spends a lot of time on fluffy PR feel good stuff when frankly the app needs to be refined and needs better support.

WeTravel has allowed us to quickly make our tour products bookable online. We have had no issues with payment processing, and the flexibility of the platform is impressive. As our trips have a higher price point, the ability to offer payment in instalments is very appreciated by our customers.

I'm still figuring out the intricacies of the system and she is super knowledgeable and always gets me on track again fast!

It makes managing group travel, getting paid, and paying super easy!

Cons

There are no real cons. I guess the one issue I have is moving to the Pro version. I would love to go Pro now, but my sales just don't justify it right now. If there was a stair step pricing that allowed me to implement it now and I get charged more as I grow, I'd sign-up tomorrow.

I looked at other products but WeTravel is was hands down the best for my needs. It was originally recommended by a friend. I in turn recommended it to a company that I was doing work with. After I used it with this other company, I saw what a great solution WeTravel provides.

None of the features matter because this company fundamentally should not be operating in Australia

1\. You get great service during sales cycle but enjoy watching it drop off as soon as you’re in. You’re relegated to a chat window that gets looked at once every 24h2. The company hides the fact that all AUD payments go via Europe and incur international fees from your bank as high as 6%. This applies to both customer payments AND transferring your earnings back to your company accounts. 3. The same gateway provider is some sketchy company that triggers all kinds of fraud warnings.

Pros

The integration process and support was indeed very good and easy to follow, the platform works very well and while we started using it only as a payment processing platform, we now use several features that make our tracking and day to day activities easier. Whenever we need assistance, we get support very fast, our account manager \[sensitive content hidden\] is always available to guide us through the platform features and provide any information we might need.

Cons

Integration was easy, and support is very good, there might be a slight glitch around every now and then, but overall the platform is excellent.

I really like the ease of use of WeTravel for my clients and also for me as a manager. I love the fact the I meet with \[sensitive content hidden\] quarterly to discuss changes and for him to answer any questions I may have. I also like that he wants to know if I have any recommendations on what would make it even better from a user standpoint. They are always adapting and making the user interface user friendly. WeTravel has definitely elevated my business. I would 100% recommend.

Cons

Some things that I would like to see improved are:1. To be able to nickname my wire transfer accounts. I love that I can now create the account and just go in and select when I want to send a new wire but it would be easier searching all my accounts if I could give it a nickname and not just have it listed by its business name.2. When copying a trip I would like to have a dropdown box so I can select the year instead of having to navigate through multiple months/years to create the trip dates.3. In Upcoming Trips, be able to have the page selection buttons at the top of the page too, just like it is at the bottom.

I personally love working with WeTravel. Customer service is excellent, and I felt very supported during the pandemic.

Pros

WeTravel has made running retreats easy to use and helps keep me organized.

Cons

I feel the monthly fee on top of the transaction fees feels like a lot. Especially since I do not have retreats booked throughout the entire year. Other features that I wish were present are waivers being mandatory to sign during the registration process, direct links to rooming options, photos for rooming options, better formatting for the cover photo, or perhaps even a video option (or a video option any place on the site itself), and the overall home page being more engaging. It feels very text heavy and I wish there was a way to customize it a bit more.

I no longer spend hours sending out pdf invoices to my clients, reminders to pay, and tracking how many people have signed up for each and every trip. This is a huge time-saver, and even the free version of the software does about everything I want.

Pros

It's relatively straightforward to use. After a 1-hour introductions session with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] (my very helpful point person at WeTravel) I was able to quickly put together and list my tour series.

Cons

It would be nice to have a separate registration form where the client would be directed AFTER they book and pay the deposit. Having them fill in a complete registration form as they are booking could be intimidating and reduce how many people follow through.
