My least favorite was the reporting function. Downloading them was a drag.

Sign up is so much easier for everyone involved. Just wonderful!

Pros

Love that I get immediate responses when I have a question. I never feel like I'm left to fend for myself. Great customer service. It's really easy to operate. I can have all my teachers access their classes separately and I can see how they communicate with their students and parents. It just makes life so much easier!

Cons

I would love to have an "order books here" tab for each class. It would also be great to be able to ad a siblings discount to classes even if they don't take the same class. I would love to see "at a glance" what teacher is teaching what class and how many students are in that class.

The ability to run both a drop-in center and various remote locations simultaneously.

Pros

I love the interface design and how intuitive it is to use. Additionally, the ability to create add-ons, save CC data, and the flexibility it offers our parents is outstanding.

Cons

Switching between Sawyer Tools and HI Sawyer especially when on an iPad can be confusing. It seems like I am always using the back button to navigate through the menus.

This made taking attendance and scheduling so much easier for us!

Pros

I find sawyer extremely easy to use. With its colorful, user-friendly interface, I have had no trouble using it and even find myself excited to! I have not heart any complaints from my customers when using Sawyer, as it has been an awesome addition to our company!

Cons

At first, I found it difficult to find the schedule for the day, because I had it in monthly-view, but I eventually found the weekly/daily views of the calendar and haven't had any issues since!!!

We currently use Stripe as our payment processing vendor which has standard rates of 2.9%+.30 per transaction. Sawyer does work with all types of educational providers to offer flexible pricing options that meet the needs of their specific industry and business. While we don't have control over the credit card processing rates, we hope that our customers do see the value of the software and product that we have built at Sawyer.

Truly excellent experience. Hassle free. Responsive support team. Truly grateful to the visionaries and creators of Sawyer for supporting my small business.

Pros

This software is the equivalent of a virtual assistant. It makes my life easier. The support is real and live. Excellent product and people. Choosing Sawyer was one of my best business decisions.

Cons

I wish there were an interface with text messaging to alert parents to new offerings and updates and sharing of images.

Good. Service chat is sometimes great and sometimes useless.

Pros

Pretty easy to use and functional for our needs. Adaptable to use.

Cons

Reporting for financials is not all that my accountant would like. Hard to sort information for different uses. Everyone in company needs to be in the same view (calendar versus list) Calendar doesn't let you scroll down to see what is happening in the next month you need to manually change months. This is difficult for many month semesters of classes.

overall we have been very happy with our experience with Sawyer. It has really made managing our workshops much easier.

Pros

This is the first product we found to have all the functions that we wanted in one place. Easy to set up new classes and workshops. Easy to access class rosters, and communicate with students in the class. It makes registering for our workshops very easy on the customer side.

Cons

We would like to be able to add multiple photos to a listing. Because the software is geared towards classes and camps for children some of our clients are confused at first because we primarily have adult classes.

Great experience! Brava!

Pros

Easy to set up. Easy to have individual functionality / details for variety of end services (can set different price-points, days, add-ons, discounts, etc for various camps, classes, events -- while also building on common components like activity-description). Integration into website is great. Customer service excellent and continued improvements much valued. Marketplace exposure is great!

Cons

The bookings / orders feature is a little limited in not displaying current enrolled activities for families who have made changes to their registrations.

Overall i like sawer it is pretty easy to use but my role in the company only uses the banking transactions so i cannot speak on the system as a whole but for banking purposes id give it an 8/10. The not totaling they payouts is annoying. But thats my only main complaint. The need to wait on emails also isn't preferred but I suppose that helps with security.

Pros

The ability to move through dates on banking reports is useful.

Cons

I dislike that the fees, totals and Gross numbers are not totaled at the bottom per transaction/payout. I have to manually do this with a calculator to adjust accounting for fees which seems pretty silly.

Pros

It's easy for us to enter class information adn we like that all our educators can have their own log-ins.

Cons

There is no flex on pricing -- no ability for sliding scale or a variety of pricing options. This is our biggest issue and why we still use Eventbrite for many of our events. The design is sort of meh. We wish there was more flex to personalize it. Search function is not intuitive/ hard to search for classes (from a consumer point) Back pages are not intuitive. Example: we were looking for a financial summary report from one of our providers and it took me over 30 minutes to find this.

Pros

It was very easy to get my classes set up and I find the way the system works to be functional. I haven't had many issues at all as an administrator.

Cons

I do find that it works the best from my computer as opposed to my phone. As a teacher, I've had several parents have issues with signups going through, but honestly, that might be due to parent error or administrator error. Now that I'm running my own registrations, I haven't had any problems.

Pros

Sawyer is visually appealing to work with and fairly user friendly. It's one of the only scheduling softwares that is specifically designed for scheduling children's activities.

Cons

Some functions and layouts are not intuitive. There are several pricing and customer specific options that cannot be adjusted at this time and the alternative solutions offered by customer support are time consuming.

I like the recent membership option. Even though it was intended to be a kids class platform, many companies/organizations offer both kids and adult classes, so I appreciate that Sawyer initially took our request to make that a capability with their platform - they should do more in this vein

Pros

Looks very nice on our website, relatively easy to use, reporting is very helpful

Cons

Used to be faster to make necessary updates. Some of the functionality - such as coupons, or adding one-off classes to schedules, needs to be thought through more carefully from a user perspective

Pros

Sawyer is a wonderful software that our organization utilizes. Offering a multitude of online and in-person classes ranging from Dance and Roblox to Spanish and Art your child will not be disappointed. The prices are competitive and if you run your own class, the software helps to streamline efficiency. Contacting students, parents, or their tech support takes a click of a button and makes the job that much easier. Perhaps, the most overlooked aspect of Sawyer is their Blog posts, which really provide detailed information on a multitude of topics. Don't miss out on this software!

Cons

Honestly, the only challenge is that some of the classes that seem to be the most intriguing are a little high in cost for low-income families, which is the population I service.

It's been great working with Sawyer so far. The customer service team has been very responsive to my questions and has helped me with through some confusingly moments, answering all my questions and helping me learn how to use the tools better. I like that they are very open to feedback and are constantly seeking ways to improve the software so it is convenient and intuitive for clients. I also love the clean interface. The design is really nice for both clients and users.

Pros

I like that there is no monthly or minimum fee, which is great for small business owners who might only bring in money now and then. Sawyer takes a very small percentage off of every transaction made, which means I can run my business at my own pace, and even take breaks without worrying about wracking up fees! I also live that clients can create an account which makes it easy for them to return and sign up again and again.

Cons

There are a few features that I would like to be more intuitive and seamless. I wish I could email a person or group of people directly through Sawyer simply by selecting them in the contacts menu. I also wish I could personalize the use of the sibling discount to work even when families don't sign them up for the same class. There are a few other small improvements I'd like to see. Otherwise, is been a great product so far!

It has been good, we will use sawyer this school year again. Will most likely go in for another training before school starts as well.

Pros

Customer service is great, they respond well and come to you. Price is decent, good record of income.

Cons

I wish there were more features, for example, if I need all the girl 2nd graders on a list or Pk kids with allergies and it just pop up on a report that would be great.

Sawyer is a great alternative choice to use for classroom management. It's so well put together, and offers many different ways to manage your educational needs. It's easy to navigate, and should you get confused, there is an excellent support and help system to get you through the confusion. It may not be for everyone, but it is absolutely worth trying out.

I wish that the company would consider possibly going around to schools, and doing presentations about their service.

I have been with sawyer from day one, and it has been so great to see them grow. It has definitely solved a lot of registration problems, and makes the process a bit more seamless. It has freed up quite a bit of admin time to focus on growing the business in other ways.

Pros

THe customer service is the most wonderful aspect of sawyer. If I ever have the smallest problem, the admin team gets back with me within minutes, and a fix is on the way. They are constantly working to make the software better, and really value the relationships they build with their customers. You get the sense that they really care about helping us grow our businesses.

Cons

As they grow, there are frequent bugs. They get worked out very quickly though! Also, as my business grew, I was paying thousands of dollars in fees. I wish I had known about a monthly payment option earlier. I could have saved a very large amount of money.

Sawyer is absolutely essential in running our magic school. Prior to Sawyer, we were stuck with using spreadsheets that were not working. Now we have a place that integrates our schedule, financials, and other information into a neat and report oriented system.

Sawyer has helped keep my work organized. Without Sawyer I would have been doing everything manually and lots of mistakes are made when I do that! The customer service has been outstanding.

Pros

I LOVE how easy it is to navigate. There's nothing super complicated about using it. It is very straight forward and intuitive.

Cons

Nothing I dislike per say. I just wish I could personalize it a little more. Add my own events on to the calendar for parents to see. I wish I could have a roster for the classes that is easy to print out and looks nice.

Sawyer has the best customer service I’ve ever encountered. They were always available and prepared to help me with any changes I needed to make to my software set up and they promptly answered any questions I had. I would work with Sawyer again in a heartbeat.

Pros

The software is extremely easy to use. The features are intuitive and it integrated seamlessly into my Squarespace website. From the customer point of view, the design is attractive and easy to use.

Cons

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about the software.
