We started integrating Sawyer slowly with our classes, but we are only moving forward with Sawyer now! Pros We used to do registrations with pen and paper, and then we would have to scan or manually enter information from those forms. Not to mention generate rosters manually for several classes. Sawyer organizes all of that for us and saves me valuable time! Cons There is an extremely small (and unavoidable) learning curve in setting up the classes and form. However, the support we were able to get from the online archives answered our questions quickly and the one question I sent to tech support (at 11pm) was answered the next morning before 9am! Posting classes and keeping track of enrollment and attendance and monitoring revenue is so easy since we started using the software. Customer Service has been prompt, friendly, and helpful. Cons Features and flexibility of the software have been limited, but since we started using the software, they have been rolling out helpful new features constantly like waitlists, memberships, and parties. Pros Itā€™s so easy to use as an admin and a parent. Payment is easy, and we get great information stored in an easy to access format. Cons As an admin, I would love for the dimensions of the graphics needed for our listings to be included in an obvious way. As an instructor, I really liked how easy it was to see if my class was full and message students. Cons The calendar view was a little clunky. Cons The software caters to companies that run camps and week long events for kids but it doesn't have options to view rosters and add kids in that way which has caused a lot of confusion and work for me this season. I have been able to get new customers through Sawyer. Pros The product is self explanatory and easy to use. It was linked to my website right away, without any major issues. The FAQ's are very helpful. The financials section helps me get a good precise review of the month. A lot is taken care of by using the software, like send email reminders and links for classes, payment etc. Cons I noticed that, when I added a few more weeks to an existing semester, a few random classes were displayed as cancelled. This happened immediately after I added the weeks. Nobody had made any changes or cancellations. I figure that it was a glitch in the software. I had to go in and restore all those classes. Customer service has also been incredible and has taken all of our suggestions and tried to implement as much as possible to make everything easier for us to use and for our customers. Cons I wish there were a few more options on how to display classes as semester versus drop in. Also some clients have found it frustrating to sign up for a class- honestly i think this is pure laziness on the customer end and not wanting to have to "sign up" for sawyer tools in order to sign up for our class but if there was a way around not having to do this it would make it much easier for us to have drop ins pay at class. generally they don't want to go through the whole signing up process because it looks more difficult then just inputting payment. Our admin team is now able to do the work that my business partner and I used to have to do all by ourselves. Pros Sawyer Tools is, for the most part, user friendly making it pretty easy to navigate. Cons I am confused as to why we have to set up an activity AND a camp or semester. This always feels like an extra step. In my opinion, it could all just happen together in one easy step.
