### "Rise professionalism and Ease of use."

June 5, 2026

5.0

Excellent. All communications have been positive and dealt with in a professional manner by the representatives. If there is an issue that needs further investigation "in the background" of the program has been dealt with quickly. the response time is better than I have ever had with any of the other programs I have worked with.

Pros

Learning Curve for the new plateform is extremely quick. the ease in running reports makes tracking payroll and employee leave extremely easy and hands on. work scheduling and log in and out process ensures accuracy. Running payroll reports is quick and the ability to tailor reports for different needs is exceptional and easy for staff to get their own paystubs works very well. Working with the Rise team representatives has been very positive. All agents\\representatives are friendly, and professional. The time to receive call back and resolve issue far exceeds the other payroll systems I have worked with in the past 30 yrs. Best money spent for the service received!

Cons

I have not found anything at this point that I can criticize. Every issue I have encountered has been quickly resolve.

### "Happy User; from 2022 and ongoing"

June 5, 2026

5.0

I think one thing that really stands out is the service of the support team. They are understanding when I mess up, they're helpful when I'm lost and asking >PAINFULLY< obvious questions, and are quick to respond, even if it's a "we got your ticket and I'm looking into it as soon as I can". Second to that is the Knowledge Center. From there I can search common issues, look at my past tickets (in case they answered something before that I need to revisit, and don't have to dig through my emails). From there, we have a contract for all the modules, and they're customizable, easy to manage (and when they're not - Back to how awesome the support team is). Finally, one piece that stands out overall for me, Rise is constantly growing, taking my suggestions - ACTUALLY IMPLEMENTING THEM! and remaining competitive in a market that looks like it changes constantly.

Pros

I like that it's a Canadian company, to start. When I need help right away and can't wait for a ticket to be processed (which is still fast by the way!) I can call in and reach someone locally. I also appreciate the seamless integration of the Time Off, Scheduling + Time Approval, and Payroll modules. They work perfectly for us. The work schedule is easy to create, the Locations geofencing shows where my staff clock in and out at multiple sites, the time entries are easy to track and approve in the attendance module, and staff can easily request time off in the system as it's very intuitive for them.

Cons

While the system is designed for use with a physical timeclock, it does not work well with physical timeclock units. The data gets lost at times - employees clocked in, the system noted their timeclock activity, but in the time approval module, I don't see their activity. As well as they are eventually phasing out the timeclock, and currently there is no app developed to use for my team to access their profile to clock their shifts without logging into their FULL personal profile on a public computer. Not everyone wants to download an app for their job to their personal phone, and this is where the system is not ideal for my operations.

### "controller"

June 5, 2026

5.0

We have had very good support from the team from training how to use the software as well as from the help desk when we have had issues. The transition has been about as smooth as can be expected. We find the capacity for HR information and data management is limitless. While the core HR details are prescribed, there is ample flexibility in other areas that allow us to trap all of our HR data in one program.

Pros

We like the amount of control that we have over all aspects of HR management and payroll. We find that the value for the cost is excellent.

Cons

I really don't have anything that I dislike. But users should expect that with a significant piece of software, a lot of time is needed to be invested in the transition. We were probably upwards of 5 or 6 months in before we had a really good handle on the program and more like a full year in before we had a full understanding of the HR capability.

### "Great service "

June 17, 2026

4.0

I had a great experience using the tool. Found it very user-friendly. The team were quite patient with us as we navigated some complex internal matters..

Pros

Great customer service and troubleshooting. Willingness to work with the client and problem solve issues that came up with a quick turnaround.

Cons

Not having the app creates inconveniences, particularly for staff who do not have desk jobs. It would also be helpful to clock in and out without having to put in the exact time. When were Eli the clock in and out process it calculated by the exact minute and we had to make adjustments. We solved the problem by removing that function but it would be nice to still allow staff to punch in and out without having to count every minute.

### "User Friendly All-in-One Solution"

June 5, 2026

5.0

Great! We transitioned platforms during a busy time of year, but end user adoption was pretty painless.

Pros

Very user friendly software! It also does so much, truly an all-in-one HR/Payroll system. It was well-suited for the needs of our medium-sized remote company. Scheduling and time-tracking is great, and helps keep track of hiring.

Cons

Minor things like tax forms having to be manually uploaded and updated each year. Integration with Indeed is basic

### "So Easy and Worry Free!"

June 17, 2026

5.0

Again, its easy and worry free. I feel like my company information and accounts are safe and well looked after. If I run into an issue, there is always someone there to help.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use. I set the pay a few days before the deadline and everything is taken care of. I dont even have to worry about sending in the deductions. Its all done in one easy click. I just did up the maternity leave documents for one of my employees, never having done it before. It is very intuitive...a great value for what you get!

Cons

I wish we could set the pay for multiple pay periods. Right now, the pay has to complete before I can program another pay run. Sometimes Im away for a month and I would love to have it set up so I dont have to manage it...all the while it being in queue.

### "The best payroll platform, hands down!"

June 8, 2026

5.0

I first started using Rise when it was still a free platform. After that tier was retired, we left for ADP in hopes of finding more value. Unfortunately that didn’t materialize and we returned to Rise particularly due to its cost effectiveness. There isn’t another option on the market that comes close to Rise in value and ease of use.

Pros

Rise is very cost effective, user friendly, and efficient. The team at Rise is also fantastic and eager to help should you ever run into problems.

Cons

There really isn’t anything I dislike about rise. The platform is great and meets my needs. The reports could use some work, however I do know I could reach out to customer support and get support with that.

### "Excellent payroll, time tracking, and benefits solution for small companies"

June 17, 2026

5.0

Our relationship with Rise has grown over time. It started with payroll and has expanded to time off / time tracking and benefits. Overall employees enjoy the platform and it's easy for us to navigate.

Pros

Excellent value for money. Intuative platform for employees and employers alike. Excellent support staff when questions arise.

Cons

Reporting interface is a bit outdated and clunky, but we don't use it very often so it doesn't bother us too much.

### "Help Desk at its best!"

June 17, 2026

4.0

I've had great experience with the help desk. There are a few times when I can't get things setup as I need and the customer service agents have been very good at helping me get to where I need to be and showing me how to do it myself.

Pros

Interface is quite intuitive and makes payroll and remittances a breeze. Once you've got your payroll set up properly, making changes as necessary is very straight forward.

Cons

Pricing has gone up. I've been with Paysavvy/Rise for over a decade and there was a significant bump in the platform a few years ago. I only use the payroll and I'm a small business so the bang for the buck might be better for users that are able to better utilize more of the resources available.

### "Great HR and Payroll Platform for Growing Business"

June 17, 2026

5.0

Overall, I’ve had a very positive experience with Rise and often recommend it to clients looking for a practical Canadian HR and payroll solution. It provides strong value and helps organizations build more efficient, streamlined people processes.

Pros

As an HR consultant, I appreciate how Rise simplifies payroll, HR, and employee management in one platform. It’s especially valuable for small to mid-sized companies looking to improve processes and reduce administrative workload.

Cons

There can be a bit of a learning curve during setup, and some reporting/customization features feel limited for more complex organizations. Certain workflows still require manual workarounds.

### "Intuitive platform with great support"

June 9, 2026

5.0

We have been using Rise for many years now. Throughout this time, we have seen them invest in the platform and working to provide more value for their clients.

Pros

The platform is very easy to use, the team is always working to develop it and the support team is aways there to resolve any issues we have (including when they are caused by ourselves!)

Cons

Although the team always resolves our issues, it can sometimes take several days for resolution. A quicker turnaround time would be appreciated, especially with how sensitive employees are to any payroll or benefits hick-ups.

### "My favourite all-in-one platform for HR, payroll, and benefits in Canada"

June 9, 2026

5.0

Always fantastic. Great support when I need it. They make compliance and payroll processing quick and easy. It's the top solution I recommend for small and medium sized businesses who want to optimize their HR function.

Pros

They are a Canadian-based, all-in-one HR, payroll, and benefits solution that is easy to use, quick to setup and implement, and offers a clean, high-quality user experience.

Cons

### "Amazing Payroll"

June 17, 2026

5.0

Its has been amazing. I use it for payroll for my business and ever since i signed up it has been working wonders for tracking reports and conducting pay runs. It is relatively cheap for the amount of power it has.

Pros

Rise has been a great experience overall. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to stay on top of tasks and deadlines. I especially appreciated how it streamlined communication and collaboration across the team, keeping everything organized in one place. The interface is clean and user-friendly, which made the onboarding process smooth and reduced the learning curve significantly.

Cons

At times, the platform could feel a bit overwhelming with the number of features and options available, making it difficult to know where to start. Occasionally, navigation between different sections felt slightly unintuitive, and it took some time to find specific settings or tools. Some additional customization options and a more streamlined interface in certain areas would go a long way in improving the overall experience.

Perfect for small to mid-size organizations who likes to provide easy to use interface to their employers.

Pros

This platform provides HR records, payroll, time tracking ad n benefit in one system. Well organized system for employee and employers to connect directly with employee profiles, pay changes, time off and reduce data entry and reduce errors and time. Very user-friendly interface , employees can easily view pay stubs, request time off and update employee information in one page.

Cons

Since Rise provides easy to use and user friendly interface therefore the application is basic and simple. Limited customization and lacks of advanced factures but work best to small to mid-size companies.

### "Rise HRIS, a good starter, but needs for work to be a long lasting program"

Probably one of the simplest to use HRIS out there. It has every features that you want in an HRIS: people management, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, time and attendance and performance review. However, except for payroll, other features seem to touch just the surface of HRs' needs. You can use them, but they not optimal.

### "Rise Payroll-helped us move to the "next level" with company growth"

September 18, 2025

5.0

We have recently went to a new electronic RF system with our hourly employees. We originally wasted so many resources manually calculating these inputs (and risked the possibility of manual input mistakes). The set up with Rise was simple and they had some wonderful customer service people work with us on navigating the process. They were extremely helpful and patient through this. Very easy company to work with- I would recommend highly.

Pros

Ease of set up. Company very response to our requests and very easy to navigate our Provincial and Federal tax inputs

### "Rise will help your business soar!"

June 17, 2026

5.0

We found Rise when we were looking for payroll support for our new small business. After the first meeting, we immediately felt it was the right for for us. The onboard was easy, the supporting videos and files made things simple to follow and the level of support is top notch. Every time I've sent an email, I've received an answer the same day, usually within an hour (if not minutes) of sending it. Pretty amazing, especially given the time difference! Rise has helped us to feel confident about our payroll...which has made these first time business owners feel very supported!

Pros

The platform is so easy to use and the support is fantastic! Every email was answered promptly and the archive of videos and files helped me be self-sufficient much faster than I expected.

Cons

Nothing. I have no complaints or concerns. From the moment we started with Rise, I felt our payroll was in good hands.

### "Room for Improvement"

July 21, 2022

3.0

RISE has taken away alot of manual tracking and spreadsheets so it saves time for the HR team and managers with admin tasks. Employees are more in control of their information, and can make changes/requests very easily. The tech team seems to move a bit slow, and not sure if its due to lack of staff or a high number of service tickets, but it can be a bit frustrating waiting for a resolution for 7-15 business days.

Pros

I like that it is a whole program, meaning admins and employees can go to one spot to get information, and you do not have to deal with multiple platforms and programs. The KB articles are wonderful resources to use to solve problems/issues without having to send in a ticket. However there is still room for improvement, with the functionality of the the various modules speaking to each other. Also needs some simple fixes, like the calendar having a choose the date instead of scrolling month by month; but overall its a great program.

Cons

The reporting feature within payroll is very complicated, hard to pull data that we need so we end up having to create our own reports. Some of the modules do not speak to each other; changing a start date doesnt flow over the compensation start dates, onboarding defaults to work email and phone number when should go to personal; calendars are tedious as you cant choose a date, but need to scroll month by month. Its definitely a work in progress with areas to improve quite easily.
