### "The best phone app"

Since I have been using the app, I have no problems communicating with my clients and candidates, making it easy to stay connected 100% of the time.

Pros

It is a friendly and easy-to-use application, which allows direct communication with people outside, and above all, it offers multiple forms of communication, from voice messages, text messages, or direct communication with people.

Cons

that in order to access the purchase there is a lot of protocol and one must be contacted by a sales agent instead of being able to call to request the license purchase service.

### "Very Powerful and complete"

My overall experience is extremely positive. I have been using it for about 10 years now and I have never had an outage. The only time I have had poor voice quality was an issue with my own internal network.

Pros

Currently, one of the best features of Goto Connect is the new AI feature. It allows an AI receptionist for very reasonable rates. It has all the other standard features you expect from a VOIP provider and the pricing is very reasonable. ALSO, the quality is ALWAYS perfect. Another great feature is the outgoing VM message can be typed in and it will create a very high quality computer generated voice to play.

Cons

The learning curve for Goto Connect can be a little steep. Not that it is difficult, there are just a lot of options you can use. There are lots of video tutorials to get you through it.

### "WE DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. "

ABSOLUTELY HEINOUS. If we could give zero stars we would. I cannot believe that such a simple system took 30 hours of calls over and over with support, with CSMs, with developers, to setup. We only have 2 locations, we have 4 phones, we have 6 total users. That's it. We need to take calls, and get voicemails if people dont answer. Yet they couldn't even figure that out.

Pros

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! We are two weeks in and searching for something else. There is absolutely NOTHING that we liked about GoToConnect. They sold us on something that didnt work, sold us the wrong amount of licenses, and then support continually told us "we will get it fixed after we hang up" to do absolutely NOTHING after. We show up the next day and the phones still dont work, there's no response, no communication back to us, and no actual help after spending hours on the phone the previous day. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Cons

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! We are two weeks in and we have spent 30 hours trying to get anything to work. We are missing calls for days. We are a simple, small business with just 2 locations, 4 phones, 2 managers, and over and over support couldn't get it right and then our CSM spent days fixing it for it to break over and over. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

I have had great luck with goto connect and their support team is quick to respond and find resolutions.

Pros

Ease of use with consolidated services. They have good phone & customer support with quick results. Their pricing structure is good.

Cons

The initial set up was a bit confusing and trying to navigate their bubble system when routing calls is confusing.

Overall, I do like GoTo. Its a great product. I believe that it untethers people from their desks, and makes roles that rely on making/receiving calls, such as call centers more flexible to allow remote work. I would like to see (unless its a function that my employer didn't include in their package) and option where each extension has two lines so that the physical phone can be used if needed.

Pros

I like that I can take my extension with me as I go from office to remotely at home, and that I can use the app, should I not have my laptop available.

Cons

It stinks that if the internet connection goes out, then I have no access to my extension, and that if I am at home, and someone is in the office and needs a phone, they cannot use the physical phone at my desk if I'm logged in at home.

We have really enjoyed GoTo, and are satisfied with the app. It has helped us balance work and home life, as you have the ability to answer while not at work, but also the ability to set up work hours within the app.

Pros

We really like the ability to filter calls based on the kind of customer assistance needed. GoTo also shows us who is calling and it is almost always accurate.

Cons

The main thing I don't like, is not having the ability to send a message to a phone number that is not in your contacts. You have to call the person back, or wait for them to call you back. Also, many people do not listen to the whole prompt, they just choose the first name that is said.

### "Worst customer experience EVER"

GoTo Connect should rename itself “GoTo Disconnect” because that’s all you’ll get — disconnected phones, disconnected support, and disconnected ethics. Run. Don’t walk. Run the other way. There are a thousand better companies out there that actually deliver what they sell.

Pros

GoTo Connect is hands down the most useless, dishonest company I’ve ever dealt with. They couldn’t even manage to set up my account or activate my service, yet they were lightning-fast to charge my credit card for something I couldn’t use. No welcome call, no setup, no access — nothing but bills. When I tried to cancel, they hid behind some bogus “contract” even though I never once had a working account. They literally told me they were going to keep charging me for a service that never existed. Unreal.

Cons

Their support team is a black hole of incompetence — endless hold times, scripted apologies, and zero actual help. Every “manager” promises to call you back, but none of them ever do. The only way I finally stopped the bleeding was by canceling my card so they couldn’t keep stealing from me.

I’ve used GoTo for probably 8 years and it’s been consistent with no major update changes. I always know how it’ll work.

Pros

I appreciate the simplicity it has in allowing clients to connect without needing a downloaded application.

Cons

That even with a paid subscription I only have about half an hour for meetings. Sometimes they need to be longer.

My overall experience with GoTo Connect is very positive. The app fits all of our needs so far and is very easy to work with.

Pros

I have used GoTo Connect for almost four years now, and the features I loved the most are the Contact Center and the Analytics features. Being able to have an accurate view of every active agent in the call center is crucial.

Cons

The app needs to integrate its older feature called Call Reports. The newer updates don't have this feature and it makes it nearly impossible to keep track of an individual agents detailed call information.

### "Manage Communications Better "

GoTo Connect is good and it works without breaking the bank. I would tell someone else starting a business that they should look at Connect.

Pros

Connecting is better because we only need one service and it's all stored together. After I set it up I liked it. Not hard to use at all. Everything is right where you need and expect it to be. With a good internet provider and connection there are no quality or speed problems. Real time chat is important to us and lets us connect instantly from different places without the interruption of video or voice calls. We're often filming and can't talk on the phone. I don't have to pay a lot for Goto Connect so that makes me like it even more. I think they charge what it's worth.

Cons

Sometimes getting help from customer support can be frustrating and hard. I don't always think they help the situation. If the internet connection is fuzzy then so are all of our communications. After it's restored it takes a while to catch up. But if you have a good provider there's no need to worry.

While trying to talk to teams overseas these features ease a lot of hassle and saves time. It’s easy to install and use and integration within my school lab was simple

Overall it is a great product for virtual meetings , sharing , engagement seeing face to face with people. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a platform for meetings.

Pros

The best thing I like is the screen sharing and able to give to others control when not present in person. Helps our team get a clear picture across and helps for speedy decisions with cutting down feild time loss. being able to use this and keeping in documented is awesome.

We have had a few issues with getting set up or interferences with feedback or mutter sound.

### "The Customer Service Is Outstanding!"

It has been amazing! Again, we have never had any of the issues with dropped calls or static on the line that we have had with other VOIP companies.

Pros

The thing I like most about this software is it doesn't malfunction or break! We have been with other VOIP companies and have experienced dropped calls, static, silence, etc as the norm. But not with Jive! I have never had a dropped call or an issue with static. The only time I have ever had to call in to tech support was when I needed help setting something up. My wait time to speak with someone has always been less than 3 minutes, each tech support agent is equally knowledgeable and if I couldn't figure out how to do what they were suggesting, they would log on to my computer and show me how to do it. I love this company!

Cons

There is nothing I dislike about this software. I have never had any issues and Jive makes my life easier as I don't have to deal with phone issues. If the phones are down, it is a major issue for our company.

Pros

Once the app is set up, it works great to access work calls when away from your desk or mobile in the office

Cons

Setting it up is not always straight forward. The difference between do not disturb and silence is not clear. Selecting one function will essentially not allow your desk phone to ring .

### "Middle of the Road VoIP"

It worked pretty well and for a decent price. We definitely would use it, but I feel like there might be better options out there. That being said, there were worse ones that we tried as well.

Pros

I liked that it integrated pretty well with some of our other tools through our computer and desk phone. The desk phone situation worked really well. Transferring was also quite easy and you could talk to the person you were transferring to before deciding to merge or transfer them.

Cons

The app was buggy on and off and it was difficult to get more than one line on an app or desktop. For the longest time, it would only work through the desk phone. Recently there has been a software upgrade that might make it possible to see and answer more than one line, however, we switched VoIPs so I can't say how successful that particular feature is.

### "Jive Telephone System"

Overall, we had a very easy transition from our previous telephones to Jive. We had our old system forwarded to our Jive phones for about a month, before our telephone numbers were actually ported over. I think in this time, we were able to work out all the kinks, so once our numbers were ported over there were no issues. I would recommend the Jive system to anyone that is considering changing their phone service.

Pros

The Jive system is a user friendly platform. I really like the fact that we have access to all of our information, without having to contact customer support. I like that we can upload a file for our hold music & can change it whenever we want to. I really like the auto attendant & how easy it is to change things. Once I got familiar with the system, I feel very comfortable updating anything that is needed, but if I can't figure it out, I know I can contact customer service & they are great!

Cons

I think that it took a while to get our phone numbers ported over & at first our temporary numbers weren't "spoofed" so on our caller id, it was some odd telephone number without our company name. There was a few items setting up our system that was kind of frustrating but, once we were connected to the right person, it was an easy process. Most of the issues were more getting things worked out the first few weeks that we had the Jive telephone system. There was a different group of customer service people that we dealt with during that process, I feel that some of those people weren't as knowledgeable as the regular customer service employees. Again, once the few kinks were worked out, we've had no issues. It was more getting hooked up with the right person that could fix the specific issue that we were having.

### "Terrible Customer Service "

Initially it wasn't bad. But when I needed help with the support they started to show their true colors. From their customer services reps, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] to their terrible app that doesn't allow for incoming calls we will be looking for a new phone system now that our employees are WFH.

Pros

Was fairly basic but when you have issues you're essentially on your own.

Cons

Customer service was absolutely dreadful. If you're starting to WFH, this is not the solution for you. I spoke to a representative called, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. He was less than helpful to the point he ended my chat and wouldn't communicate with me further. Needless to say, we will cancel our account immediately.

Our telecom rep recommended them. Will be switching to RingCentral and a new telecom rep

### "Take your business wherever you go!"

Pros

Software phones, which allow access for your computer, no hard phone needed. Dial Plans Ability to change messages and turn phone on and off easily Competitive Available technical support

Cons

Report features are not practical, too much analysis needed to use the information Hold times are factored into an employee's extension (giving false information on how long they are on a call. Also, if calls are made internally, only minutes are recorded to the initiator. Again, an employee is not getting credit for taking a call.

### "Avoid auto-renewal - no reminder before renewing! "

The customer service agent was great, but the company policies and procedures are not customer-friendly, but rather are opaque and cost us a ton of money.

Pros

It was the best platform prior for webinars in past years.

Cons

The person who signed up for annual auto-renewal left the college and we didn't use the product for two years. GoTo did not send a reminder prior to charging the annual fee, and when we called the company to find out about the charge to the credit card, they could not locate the account. We found an old invoice from 2020 (no emails of receipts or invoices received to the original email in all that time!) and asked for a reversal of the charge, our request was denied.

### "Jive - highly recommended!"

We have been Jive customers for more than 3 years now. I am not always accepting of changes, so I was not very happy when I had to learn how to use the new phone--but boy am I glad now that my boss made the decision to switch to Jive's VoIP phone system solution. We have different phones, but the one I like the most is the one that works just like my cell--it has a touch screen and it is so easy to use.

Pros

Jive is very customizable! You can make changes on the fly; you can access the system on your desk phone, your cell phone or even your computer. I like how you can go into the portal and change the dial plan, close the office and temporarily forward phone calls to another line or office, then revert it back to normal--all with relative ease. I also like how you get so many features that are included -- they don't nickel and dime for each thing! One more thing I like is the presence monitoring on the phones, I can see on my phone screen if one of my coworkers is on a call so I know if I should transfer the caller or just send them to voice mail.

Cons

Faxing is limited to 5 pages or less. However, now that I think about that, I hardly get any faxes anymore because people simply send me PDFs instead.
