I was enormously impressed with the customer support that Jive offered at every stage beginning with the explanation of its services and pricing, the help and consideration in arranging the porting over of my telephone numbers from a previous office address, help with setting up the telephone equipment including tutorials session offered by Jive and most significantly continued customer support which immediately responded to my various questions concerning the operation of the phones, fax capability and other technical questions that arose. Jive took an enormous amount of time to walk my assistant Anthony Petrizzo through the setting up of a remote wireless connection that was unique to my circumstances and required a great deal of technical expertise and significant patience.

Cons

Sometimes the calls disconnect when dialing if I do not enter all of the telephone numbers immediately. Possibly an adjustment can be made.

We've had a great experience so far with Jive PBX. We are a small independent agent insurance office, with no tech support. The sales rep provided a great cost saving opportunity, and made sure we understood the VOIP concept by providing an in-depth explanation of how the new phones and service work, made sure our Cisco routers and internet connections would be suitable for the Jive products and provided new phones at a great discount. The implementation team configured all the phones per our users before they arrived on site. And the technical support was on hand via cell phone and the web as we connected to the Jive system, helped us configure our internal call routers for best call quality, and turned on our phones. Customer and technical support are just a web chat away with the very little wait time.

Pros

Support, both customer service, and technical support are usually very quick to engage.

Cons

Jive app for cell phones. Doesn't seem to work.

Pros

Customer Service - The calls are picked up fast and Jive is extremely personable. Also, whenever there is a tech question, they are more than willing to hop on and actually show you how. That was a breath of fresh air. We love the cost - we switched because of the customer service and cost.

Cons

Would like video conferencing, I heard this was in the works though. Cannot email fax more than 5 documents at a time.

I love the ease of use and the simple calling plan. There is easy access to our account and information.

Cons

Amount of bugs to get started were overwhelming. Took a long time to get things sorted out with the phones and set-up.

Gotta love the branding.

Pros

Jive is able to boast more servers and server support than any of their competitors, and that is highly valuable. Their pricing is also extremely straightforward, which was awesome as we comparison-shopped. Jive even sent us a new VoIP-specific router at no cost!

Cons

It seemed like the various division of Jive were rather disconnected, and in my opinion we suffered for not having one dedicated account representative who could check up on us and walk us through the technical steps of getting set up. The initial roll-out felt intimidating.

Starting a new business and we needed numbers, service, IVR, conference bridge, voicemail, after hours call routing, find me follow me, mobile app, etc. Jive had all of this at one low price with no variable add on fees or gotchas. I had one question about configuring different e911 addresses for different phone numbers and called support and that experience was quick, and the both solved the config and offered to help in any other setup I needed.

Pros

Very easy onboarding experience. Very clear and concise emails to get online and set up the system. Wizards to walk through adding users and phones. Intuitive UI on admin portal and the voice quality has been great! Also liked the graphical IVR editor - very easy, and the mobile app which is free.

Cons

Nothing, I had no trouble getting up and running quickly and the system performance has been perfect.

Pros

Working with (Tony P.) the sales guy we reached when contacting Jive the very first time was the best thing that could have happened to us. He was knowledgable and at the same time not too pushy to get the sale on the very first call. What I also really appreciated is that when he didn't know something, he didn't just throw out an answer. He admitted he would need to check and get back to us.

Cons

No qualms with it. When we aren't sure how to do configure something, we call, we get assistance quickly and it does what it is suppose to do - it just works!

Pros

Jive did a great job of incentivizing making the change to VoIP with a great deal on the equipment needed to get started. They managed the set up process well and the customer support was excellent. Love the Management panel for building out answering queues, ring groups and auto attendants.

Cons

The Fax interface is not robust and is prone to crashing and needing to power cycle. We have had some marginal problems with quality from time to time and we did need to change our Router to a more expensive router to handle the phones. That was not clear from the beginning.

Easily programmable functionality and a more connected office. This allows me especially to run multiple conference calls easily, connect several users from outside to in-person interviews, and to manage all of the above even when I'm not in the office.

Pros

I like the ability to connect my cell phone and use it as a full featured device. This allows me to be more connected to the office even when I am not present and to manage phone conferences, etc. The JIVE dashboard is also incredibly helpful once I got the hang of it I feel quite confident that I can manipulate the phone system to serve each user as they require. It's really neat.

Cons

I think it can be a little cumbersome to click through so many steps for some features, however, I am aware that I could set up short cuts on the phone.

Pros

I love that I can answer the office phone from my cell and have the ability to transfer calls. It's especially nice to be able to work from home and no one is the wiser. The app is easy to down load and easy to log into and easy to disconnect. It's liked by everyone in our office.

Cons

Sound quality could be better and there is a delay from the time the phone rings to the time it makes it to my cell phone. Also, sometimes my cell will ring after I've already finished the call. I also don't like that I can't manage the volume of the ringtone.

Our staff are often on the road, and using Jive makes it easy for them to make/receive calls and check their voicemail, making it easier to communicate with clients!

Pros

We love the availability of customer service. The help is immediate and thorough, and the reps always follow up to make sure the issue was solved.

Cons

When we first switched to Jive, we thought that we would get a heads-up before we needed to be hooked up to receive calls. However, we found one morning without notice that we suddenly could not make/receive calls, and had to scramble to make things work.

We got more mobility and extra lines added to our office.

Pros

Excellent call quality. Easy to setup and manage. Our sales team likes that the office phone can forward straight to their cell phones and they can use the app to make it look like they are calling from the office.

Cons

Same problem that happens with any VOIP service and that is when the internet goes out you lose your phones as well.

It keeps logging me out. So I don't receive phone calls until I realize I'm not logged in and then log back in.
