Like the ease but hated the quality. It never seemed to work right.

Pros

I love that its simple and clean interface. I love that I can use it to call Worldwide.

Cons

It was always having issues with quality. It never came over clear and precise.

It's a nice integrated way to stay connected.

Pros

I use Jive to connect me to my desk phone when I'm not in the office. It helps me stay connected to the phone traffic, emailing me when I have voicemails, and allows me to listen to them even right from my laptop. It helps me stay connected to that arm of business when I'm stuck in meetings.

Cons

I'm not sure if they don't have the capability, or if it is a feature we don't have - but I would love to have the voicemails translated to text so I can see them in my email. Then I'd have the option, on the go, to respond to those voicemails with text or email.

Pros

I can manage all of my agent's phone calls and their effectiveness. I can see how many times they miss a call, and it helps track how well they are doing their jobs.

Cons

If a call is missed, it will oftentimes get stuck in the queue. It will not allow anyone to end up taking the call at all.

Performance can sometimes be a problem, largely because of the internet service provider that you have. Otherwise largely reliable unless your internet goes down.

The customer service dept walked us through the entire process, "holding our hands" until we were up and running, even better than before!

Pros

Seamless integration. We switched from another service to Jive, the service is smooth and has great connectivity. Our voicemail settings and others switched with us.

Cons

It took about a month. We had to wait for our numbers to be transferred and sometimes calls wouldn't come through as they had. In the end it all worked out.

Started using it with one of my businesses and recently added my second business so I'm sold.

Pros

It integrates with Zoho so that I can click to call and have a log of calls as well as take an incoming call and create a task on the fly.

Cons

It is so fully featured it took some tech support to get it set up but I consider that a plus in the event I need some tricked out features.

Software is very easy to use and signal is extremely reliable; customer/support service is super helpful, energetic and competent at a high level that is well above average for a tech company.

Pros

Jive Communication Systems is capable of doing everything a startup to mid-size sales company would expect (plus a whole lot more!) in terms of fielding inbound calls and placing high volume of outbound calls. Most importantly, the click-to-call feature is not considered an auto-dialer, giving that extra layer of protection and removing the chance of legal headaches that a startup or small business is ill-equipped to handle.

Cons

The one useful feature missing is the ability to spoof area codes without purchasing a corresponding phone number.

Pros

I like how the after hour call voicemails are sent to my email with a recording.

Cons

I feel our team needs live training on how to use the Jive dashboard and GoTo Connect but most training is done online.

100% amazing

Pros

I cannot say this enough - by switching to Jive we are saving THOUSANDS a year. Not only are we saving an enormous amount of money, we have brand new phones and features we never thought were possible. It's like our practice finally moved up in to the 21st century.

Cons

The online portal was a little confusing when we first started. We had to have our IT team set it up for us.

Great experience so far. Any questions I've had have been answered quickly. The support team knows their stuff.

Pros

Setting up the call flow was really easy. I've used a few other VOIP call center programs before and this was by far the easiest to set up and use.

Cons

In my opinion, the scheduling feature needs to be a little more complex. Simply having open, closed, or holiday is useful but it would be great if there were special scheduling options that allowed for specific call routing at odd times My company is small and occasionally we are all in a meeting so it would be nice if there was a mode or special scheduling option that could be implemented during those times that did not require us to change the call flow in the dial plans.

Overall, very pleased. We use Jive to power our VOIP conference phones and to create a system of phone extensions for all our employees without needing any local infrastructure. It does both very cost effectively.

Pros

Jive provides very good value for money for a small business like mine and also offers very helpful customer support to set up new phones and troubleshoot problems.

Cons

The web interface for managing Jive is somewhat labyrinthine and is generally difficult to navigate and use. The way the different constructs (extensions, phone lines, devices, etc.) are organized and managed is often cryptic.

They help you set up your account and your phones. Make sure you ask every possible question; you'll be good to go!

Cons

Like any VoIP, there's a learning curve, and if you are a small business owner, the terms might confuse you. (Device, line, extension, phone, number, dial plan, etc)

Pros

Very simple, easy to use, ability for all customer service reps to see activity but not have access to everything unless you're a super admin

Cons

There are some categories that dive in really deep that we don't really need, but that's not really a con, just a lot of information. not necessarily a bad thing at all.

Jive has been a positive experience and has enabled us to have multiple people respond to customer calls, use the conference line and access the software from a variety of devices.

Pros

I like that I can access Jive from my computer (using the app or the browser option) and from my phone. The phone tree options also work well for our company. Working with customers one-to-one or with conference lines is easy and the interface is simple and user-friendly.

Cons

The only thing I don't really like is the way the conference line works when you first join a call. If you join as the facilitator, it doesn't indicate if there is someone already on the line or not - it's just a silent entry to the line.

We have already recommended to many other clinics that are friends and they all use also. Benefit is many lines for an affordable price, voicemail and holiday settings, transferring calls, and being able to have multiple calls on one phone

Pros

Easy to use and very little issues. When a problem does occur I can check status and see when its fixed in real time

Cons

Just when our area has internet issues it affects the phones due to wifi base. Not Jives fault but definitely our biggest issues due to the area we are in being more prone to these problems and both internet companies are run through the same system so no way around

I have no issues with the functions or the cost for Jive. Our organization has benefited from using Jive!

Pros

Jive gives you so many functions as to what devices receive your work calls. You can use it on the desktop/laptop, your phone, or a third-party landline phone. It makes making and receiving calls for work simple and easy. There are a lot of great functions in the app as well!

Cons

The integration with Google Chrome and Mac Computers could use some updating. I often have to re-login to my account to set up what devices my calls should be forwarded to.

The customer service at Jive is AMAZING! I don't even dread calling when there is an issue. The support team is extremely patient, understanding, and honestly care that your problem is resolved. I wish all vendors had the same quality of customer service!!

Cons

Given that it's internet based, when the power goes out the phones go out. That comes with the territory though.

Jive has been great so far. I had no experience setting up a VOIP system previously or being an administrator and I was able to learn it fairly fast. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a cost-friendly easy solution.

Pros

The software is really easy to get a hang of. Everything is explained in a simple manner that any user can understand. The dial plan editor is fantastic. You can put together a comprehensive system incredibly fast. The setup Wizards are also fantastic, quick and easy to use.

Cons

Although the software lays things out in simple terms I still get confused on the differences between users, devices, hardware, lines and extensions. It can be tricky to know which one to reference when you need to make changes.

We are using it to replace old PBX systems and our customers are very happy! They enjoy all of the features and the reliability.

Pros

The simplicity of Jive is one of it's best features. It's also jam packed with features and extremely reliable. We use Jive as our exclusive VOIP service for all of our clients.

Cons

The only thing I've had issues with is the intercom feature. It's a bit of a hassle to set up.

I love how the system is designed to give me control of everything, so I don't have to rely on Jive to make every change for me.

Cons

I used to have some problems with outages and dropped calls, but now, the only thing I wish I had was detailed logs so I could diagnose disconnects and when the phone rings for a second and hangs up, then people say they can't get through.

We have been using Jive for a year now. We wanted a solution that would integrate with our CRM. Our previous VOIP solution was unable to do so. On top of this capability, Jive costs us about $/line less. Voice quality is excellent, if I am out of the office the line rings through to my cell, and as far as the caller is concerned, I am in my office. I was able to port my lines from the previous company without a hassle. Set up was easy, and support has been excellent. If there is one drawback it is the fax system. It is a bit clunky to use. However, as we do not send many faxes it has not been a big issue.

Cons

Fax system is not very user friendly Jive desktop still in Beta
