Use Azure integration service including logic apps, azure functions, service bus, event hub, event grid and API manager to replace BizTalk applications since BizTalk 2020 support end of April 2030.

Pros

Azure integration service including logic apps, azure functions, service bus, event hub, event grid and API manager.

Cons

API manager could approve a bit for proxy, API gate way, policies, and security to be more compatible vs other vendor like MuleSoft API manger.

Our experience with Microsoft Azure has been very positive as we've continued modernizing our IT infrastructure by migrating data and services from local servers to the cloud. Azure has helped improve scalability, strengthen business continuity, and provide secure access to business resources while reducing our reliance on traditional on-premises infrastructure. From an IT perspective, it has become an important part of our long-term cloud strategy and integrates seamlessly with the Microsoft ecosystem.

Pros

Microsoft Azure has provided a secure and scalable platform for moving data and services from our on-premises servers to the cloud. Its integration with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, and other Microsoft services simplifies administration while improving accessibility, security, and long-term infrastructure planning.

Cons

Azure offers a large number of services and configuration options, which can create a learning curve for new administrators. Managing licensing, cloud resources, and ongoing costs also requires careful planning as environments continue to grow.

I've had a mostly positive experience with Microsoft Azure, finding it to be a reliable and scalable platform that meets my business needs. The user interface can be overwhelming at times, but overall, the flexibility and customization options make it a valuable tool for my team's cloud-based projects.

Pros

Microsoft Azure works well enough for our team's cloud infrastructure needs, providing scalable resources and a pretty solid security framework. We've been able to integrate it with our existing tools, like Slack and Google Drive, without much hassle. It's taken some time to get used to, but our team is happy with the results so far.

Cons

One minor complaint is that the documentation could be better. We've had to dig through online forums to find solutions to some issues, which can be frustrating. Also, the pricing model is a bit complex, and we've had to adjust our budget a few times to accommodate changes in our usage.

ai insights icon chrome icon google docs icon Azure is one of those platforms where the depth of what it can do is both its biggest strength and its biggest challenge. There's almost nothing it can't handle, but getting it configured just right takes real time and patience. For our IT team it's become a core part of how we manage users and devices across the organization, and for the most part it delivers. Just expect to spend some quality time in documentation and community forums before everything clicks.

Pros

The integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory has been the biggest win for us. Managing user identities, conditional access policies, and device enrollment all from one portal has made life a lot easier from an IT standpoint. Once everything is configured correctly, it's pretty reliable, and having cloud-based identity management means we're not dependent on an on-prem domain controller for everything. For a nonprofit organization, it's been a solid foundation to build our endpoint management on.

Cons

The learning curve is steep and the Azure portal has a habit of moving things around or renaming features without much warning. More than once I've gone looking for something and had to re-learn where it lives. Token caching and SSO behavior on shared workstations has also caused some headaches that took a while to dig into and weren't well documented. Support resources are extensive but actually getting useful help for specific edge case issues can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack.

My overall experience with Microsoft Azure has been very positive. I have been using Whizlabs hands-on labs for AZ-104 preparation, and the practical exercises helped me understand Azure services much better. The platform is cost-effective, frequently offers discount vouchers, and provides excellent customer support. The labs are well-structured and useful for gaining real-world cloud administration skills. Overall, Azure is a powerful cloud platform, and hands-on practice made learning much easier and more effective.

Pros

Microsoft Azure provides a wide range of cloud services with strong security, scalability, and reliability. I especially liked the hands-on learning experience while working with Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and monitoring tools. The Azure Portal is user-friendly, and the documentation from Microsoft Learn is very helpful for certification preparation and real-world projects.

Cons

Some Azure services can be confusing for beginners because there are many options and configurations available. Pricing can also become difficult to understand initially, especially when working with multiple services and subscriptions.

We were nearly caught out by the costs escalating too quickly, even with the charity discounts from MS, when we started adding services we thought we needed! With its complexity, if not carefully managed, smaller charities can need more technical IT knowledge and ongoing administration than originally expected, which we did, so we needed our IT volunteers and the CRM programmers to put their heads together and optimise for what we actually required in the real world.

Pros

We use it for our charity's CRM as it gives us enterprise-level cloud infrastructure, reliability and scalability, plus we get charity pricing and credits that make technology we'd normally never be able to afford for a 100% non-profit organisation like ours.
