We like the program. The support has NOT been great. We bought it early on before pricing went up, so wonder if that's why our requests for support are ignored?

Pros

Tars has been a great chatbot for our site. It's pretty easy to use and set up. We also like that they have continually made improvements to the program. Good optimization for mobile users.

Cons

I wish it had more functionality with customizing the look and feel. I feel like there a lot of things we'd like to do to make it not look cookie cutter, but requires CSS styling to do that.

With many alternatives I found Tars FB Group of people willing to share ideas and methods that they are using. Things I never thought of which opened my eyes to the possibles I put into actions.

Pros

Ease of use and ability to jump in and use it.

Cons

Due to time differences the support may take a short wait. Not a deal breaker.

\- Really good support! - A lot of possibilities (available templates, etc.)! - It is easy to deploy! - Good price! I love TARS! :)

Cons

\- Before getting comfortable with the technology, it can takes few hours (learning curve) but the support is really good when we need some help!

Pros

If you can create a flowchart, you can create a bot using Tars. It's easy and mostly intuitive. Support is responsive and helpful.

Cons

I don't like to pay for things and still have SaaS branding on them. At any level.

Forms are entirely passive, requiring a site visitor to take the first step at engaging with the site. Chatbots allow the site to initiate a conversation with a visitor. The simple act of taking the first step has led to substantially increased information collection rates, well above our capture rates using forms.

Pros

TARS made converting our heavily form-reliant inbound marketing system into a more interactive chat-based system quick and easy. The simple and easy-to-figure out software interface allows even those of us with a complete lack of programming skills to develop powerful and engaging chatbots.

Cons

Some design elements offer limited configuration, though it has improved quite a bit on that front over time.

Reasons for choosing Tars

Before TARS, the prospect of converting our form-driven site over to chatbots was too intimidating - both from a cost and skill perspective - to even consider. TARS made it all possible.

In spite of the lack of features TARS is awesome. We have created many great bots with it (some of them have even been featured in TARS emails). We also had the pleasure to meet the guys behind it. They are amazing. Their costumer service is outstanding.

Pros

How easy it is to use. Before TARS we were using ManyChat services to create our bots but it was complicated and could only be used through Facebook Messenger. In the other hand, TARS is really simple to use (user friendly; being the bot builder wayy simpler to use) and the bot can be deployed practically anywhere.

Cons

The lack of features: even though it has a good amount of user input options (buttons, custom text, etc) it lacks some features we miss from ManyChat like direct integration with an email service provider (ConvertKit, MailChimp). Imagine being able to send the emails directly to one of our MailChimp email list and set a campaign! We had to look for a workaround.

Reasons for choosing Tars

No other product was put into consideration. When we quit ManyChat we knew we had to use TARS.
