Pros: The software is very efficient. It meets almost all the needs to successfully manage the stages of our call for proposals (funding requests, admissibility, evaluations per peers, decision, contracts/answers, follow up financing)

The way to get into / access to the software is easy (login/password) whether you are a candidate, a peer evaluator or an administrative user. All the information is available online (depending on your access authorizations).

The « peer evaluation » and « candidate » portals are particularly well designed and easy to use. Almost no instructions are necessary. The users (structures for the funding request and peers for the evaluations) were able to understand quite easily how to fill in the request forms.

The customer support is efficient. The team is reactive and is sensitive to ours needs and requests.

Cons: *The « administration » portal is efficient but could become more intuitive. It is not always easy to find the searched functionalities; sometimes, too many clicks have to be done... Moreover, the titles of the sections do not clearly speak (for ex: what is the difference between budget financement & comptabilité. it is not easy to find the funding request documents: you have to click a lot before reaching them behind the bottom pré visualiser (not very easy to guess).

*It would be so great if all the documents /information concerning the structures and the funding requests could be in the same place: the funding request documents are actually in admissibilité and the structure documents are in the CRM.

* The BI is still, for me, very hard to use. It is extremely difficult to find data/ fields as the names of the sections are not the same as the one used in our forms. Moreover, the way to create BI is complicated/not intuitive. I spent a lot of time trying to find data and/or to create BIs, without success. At the end, the only solution was to ask Evision to do it for us. It was quite frustrating and a waste of time. Once the BIs are made, it is a powerful tool.

* the OFFLINE Option is good but has to be improved (cf. loss of datas // not easy to use)

Overall: - reduction of the administrative work (no more human derived datas)
- creation of an important database easely workable (cf. BI) and very usefull to produce statistics, analysis...,
- centralization of all the information in one only tool (and not anymore in XX excel files) easely shareable between colleagues and accessible everywhere

eVision is are very professional and reliable. They are experts in the research support software.

Pros: We have received very extremely favorable comments back from our clientele using the software. This has reflected well on our organizational image and is aligned with our values for customer service. eVision have dedicated staff who are extremely familiar with our custom design and are able to support the product, offer improvements and respond to our enhancement requests in a efficient manner.

Cons: We have a customized version of the eAwards system. There are no specific cons from my point of view.

Overall: Customized software that is well-regarded within the Canadian research community. We have high customer satisfaction with the product and we are able to expand it to fit our needs. The software provides the tools that our staff need to administer awards that we make. We are very proud of this customized solution.
