My team and I created content for users, starting during COVID when we implemented school-from-home using online classrooms. We created content vidoes and click-to-follow videos for both K-12 students and teachers.

Pros

Screencastify is simple to learn, easy to use, and provides a professional finished product. It's also easy for end users to watch and manipulate.

Cons

I never had a complaint about Screencastify. I only stopped using it because our school district stopped paying for it during a budget deficit.

Overall, this is a very user friendly application to record videos. Love that I can pause and resume recording in the same take.

Pros

I really love that I can export my recorded videos directly into Google drive. Not having to download and upload saves a ton of time and memory on my hard drive.

Cons

I wish there were more editing capabilities in app so that I didn’t have to edit and record in more than one app.

Poor overall, much time wasted with errors, re-recording, and things simply not working. the inital year was not so bad as mentioned, the last few months, things have reallygone downhill. not a satisfied customer at all

Pros

when it works it is fine, simple enought to use, the 1st year I used it it seemed to work okay but it seems to have actually gotten worse over time somehow?

Cons

It is very glitchy and does not work often, very frustrating not to be able to record simple videos. I get errors messages, the videos sometimes do not record, I need to re-download the app. This only happens with this software, I am not sure why it is so glitchy

I've used it for a number of years for ad-hoc videos to provide feedback on web pages or mini training videos to colleagues. I like it as it's right there in my browser and I can quickly produce and send a video.

Pros

User friendly. Controls are clear and took less than a minute to learn.

Cons

It would be good if it automatically set up a folder where your recordings were all saved.

The overall experience has been very good so far.screencastifys is most useful to make videos and recordings and it is most easy to use making it better than other programs.

Pros

The most likeable thing about screencastify is that it is easy to use. You can just start with a simple link

Cons

The free plan has limited storage options the storage gets filled up quickly and then you have to pay for more storage

I have never had any issues with Screencastify; what I have wanted to accomplish with it, I have accomplished. With the click of a few buttons, I can initiate a screen recording (tab, whole browser, etc.), and within minutes have published the video and posted the viewing link. Screencastify isn't a flashy, attention grabbing product that sells you on all the bells and whistles, and that is precisely what I like about it.

Pros

What you see is what you get with Screencastify. In this case, this is a good thing. From the beginning, users are given basically just the needed settings and options, and that is perfect. One doesn't need a lot of technical know-how to record and post videos. For those more inclined to the bonus features, some of the audience-engagement pieces are interesting and easy to manage, and the uploading-to-YouTube process is clean and simple.

Cons

I know it seems picky, but the worst part about Screencastify is how limiting the free account is. The limit for saved recordings is pretty low, and the dashboard can be a bit overwhelming for new or less tech-savvy users. Minor complaints, but these can be barriers for potential customers.

Pros

I liked how it was free mostly and it was easy to install and setup.

Cons

You only get about 10 videos and up to 30 minutes per video with a free account. Otherwise, it is paid.

Pros

Screencastify is free and offers the ability to record and edit videos up to 30 minutes long and store 10 videos in my library. I use it to record some of my classes. Screencastify is useful in communicating with prents.

Cons

It is limited to Chrome devices and browsers.
