Pros First, as a teacher, I so appreciate that I am able to use this for free! It is a necessity as a virtual teacher. As a result, this is an asset to those in the field. Pros Having a screencasting application that works directly off of the Chrome browser is so nice. You don't have to worry about filling up space with saves. Cons It does cost monthly to get the watermark off of the screen. It's not terribly expensive, but if you don't want the watermark it does cost. Pros I have liked using this to record various lessons for my K-2 students. Easy to choose which view (whole screen, you in the corner, or just you). I like recording stories and load them into google classroom for them to view at their convenience. This one keeps letting me down. Pros The program is easy to use and understand. Cons The more I use it, the worse it gets. The audio no longer matches my face when I speak, and the editing software is horribly glitchy. For me the 10 minutes are enough for now, I even tend to split it up in multiple parts. The biggest plus for me is the ease of use.. nothing beats that Cons The pricing for our organisation is a little on the high side. We can't afford to get the paid version as of yet. December 9, 2020 5.0 Pros Screencastify (used) to be our go to product for voice narrated presentation. Cons There is some glitch where the audio isn't matching up with presentations. July 18, 2021 5.0 We have been able to use this program to show customers how to use programs on our website, as well as showing IT an error that popped up. Pros It is so easy to use this program! Being able to share your screen, audio, and draw on your screen has never been easier. This is perfect for tutorials and marketing! Cons I do wish that the videos automatically saved as mp4, however it is very easy to download them as an mp4 so it's not that big of a deal. Review Source AV Alexandra V. Pros My favorite feature is being able to show my face and my document at the same time. This really helps with more hands on or visual subjects. I am sure it is a fine product, but my frustration will keep me from using this product in the future. Pros Convenient as a it is a web browser extension. Cons I was unable to open the professional version of the software. I was told by my IT department that I needed to use my corporate login, that was not the truth. When I contacted the customer support it was just as up sales opportunity for them. I used the "free" version and it was adequate. Review Source JF Jake F. Zero learning curve. I originally downloaded it to make a product demo, but I've used it for so many other things since. We just launched a new website and I had a friend navigate it while Screencastify was recording. I could see where his eyes and mouse went naturally. Super helpful. The Tab recording option and ease of use is what I like the most about it. I can highlight certain features of our product and explain the working easily to clients(and send demos) Cons Editing the videos is a bit difficult and I'm using a different tool for this.
