Pros Being able to develop instant reports as you continually add more information, and easily adding and removing data as necessary. Cons If it was able to run a 3D/4D mapping program as extra, with the pricing and ease of access, i would use it MUCH more. Pros Provides real time data. Valuable asset for field investigation and project follow up. Allows several types of information to be selected as needed. Very, very useful. Cons It is Google Earth based. Google updated the site image to a cloudy one, the site disappeared. A shame. SmartData doesn't use Google Earth, but has satellite imagery layers from both Bing and Mapbox as options for just the situation you described. In many cases in Brazil, there is significant cloud cover over large areas and it can be hard to get a clear image. In any project, if you have an aerial or satellite image you prefer over the ones we provide, we can add that to your project map at no extra charge. I hope that helps. Thank you KV Kevin V. Pros Real-time data update and inclusion. Ability to generate cross-sections at will. Comparison/contrast of multiple data sources across multiple sampling points was incredibly easy. Visual presentation made data interpretation meaningful. Cons What do I like "least" about this software? That not all of my contractors are using it! I think this would make data interpretation and remedial action design much more accurate and effective. Pros the seamless integration with maps and aerial images the almost instant data availability ability to screen and filter the data on the fly Cons The software was very easy to use, but did have strict browser and firewall requirements. Having users with a variety of browsers of varying vintages is always a challenge. I'm happy to report that our support for Internet Explorer version 10+ is much better as of the June 2017 revisions we made. We still recommend Chrome as the best supported browser, but all modern browsers are supported and are testing fine. Some Gov't users and corporate environments with very restrictive firewall access have reported some issues, and we have to work through those on a case by case basis, but we are seeing fewer of those issues these days.
