Pros: Very few things I liked... I liked the integration with our website and how fast it could export data/invoices. Help team was very nice/

Cons: For starters, I couldn't access 2 tabs (to look at 2 people) at the same time, there was so many glitches. We found out accounts/invoices/data had been deleted and no one knew why or how to restore it. There is limited flexibility with everything.

Overall: Nothing- it took more time for us to fix everything than it was worth.

Pros: It's a very user friendly product as opposed to the system we used in the past. The help desk is amazing! They are very responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. What a huge and refreshing upgrade from other products. You don't have to pay for new updates to the software and they seem to listen to user suggestions.

Cons: I have less control of the minutiae of my website (the trade-off for it being easy to use), so I can't do things like edit the CSS. I'd like to see a way to add administrative access for staff members in a more granular fashion so it's not an all or nothing option for a section.

Overall: We're saving money and it's much easier to use than what we've used in the past.

Pros: MemberClicks is regularly adding new features and updates to their product. They encourage customer input for future builds. Their staff is great to work with and questions are answered promptly. The database is fairly easy to navigate. The front end website is easy to edit.

Cons: There is a lot of functionality that is still missing from MemberClicks. We are considering switching from MemberClicks to a different provider that suites our needs better.

Our organization has switched over to MC 2 years ago and it streamlined how we operate.

Pros: MC is incredibly easy to use. Access to help videos and or customer support is great and they consistently gathering feedback and improving.

Cons: Sometimes the administrative side of the website the connection is a little slow. It would be great if the can tell update us or give us a timeline on their latest implementations goals.

I had the pleasure of working with Team which was patient enough that I was able to learn!

Pros: there's a lot of information available for navigating through the system, at the end of it though, my questions are answered

Cons: you sometimes have to spend a bit of time getting to the particular topic you need help with, however the team is always available to guide you

Pros: What I like most about the product, is that you bounce back and forth to different areas in the database without loosing what you are working on.

Cons: It can be a little overwhelming at first, because there are so many options in Memberclick/Weblink.

WebLink provides features we need for our membership organization with fantastic customer service!

Pros: We can keep all the information we need in a database made for membership organizations, so the reports provided are already made for what we need to know. No need to create a lot of reports & customization

Cons: It can be confusing to learn, especially because we've had it for a while and the way we've done some things were a work-around to an update they've made and it's been a bit of work to convert to the new way.

Overall: Software made by someone who understands the industry we're in.

Great experience working with Weblink. From the annual summit to dealing with customer support.

Pros: The Event module has been working great. The Capwiz / Voter Voice add on ability is working for what we need. The ability to pulling information dealing with our members is excellent. The billing function is top notch. Sales Opportunity module is very functional

Cons: The committee module still have its quirks. Not have the ability to change sales id on a mass reassignment- billing, assigned & sales opportunity.

Pros: Weblink/MemberClicks keeps track of everything so that I don't have to remember it or keep record of it elsewhere. The browser-based email communication is a HUGE improvement over the desktop email communication. I would like to learn how to use more functions of the software, and hope to at the summit in October!

Comments: Very happy with this system. We have about 10 clients on MC and hope to have them all soon!

Pros: The system is very easy to use and follow. Generating reports/ conducting searches is a breeze. They are constantly making improvements based on customer feedback.

Cons: There are slight restrictions certain things but nothing that can't be easily worked around inconveniently.

We lost revenue with MemberClicks.

Pros: The sell was very compelling: an all-in-one membership management system that seemed to fit our needs. On the outside it looked like a good product. So their marketing is pretty good, I guess?

Cons: Where do we begin? I'd upload a giant screenshot of tech support queries (many unresolved) if I could. Aside from the circa 90's web design and functionality (limited SEO capabilities, unsophisticated design features - essentially limited to html tables, and an unbending design team who couldn't even optimize a basic home page image, since we had zero access to the backend) - aside from all that, there were the phone calls and emails from members who couldn't pay for their membership. Or update their profile. Or access their account. This went on for the full duration of our 12-month contract, losing members and dues along the way. When we notified MemberClicks of our cancellation and requested a call for a final exit, we got an automated email with instructions on how to download our data. We're a small organization and took a big hit from using this company.

This was my first attempt to update website content built by others.

Pros: Limiting my comments to my specific editing objective, online documents provided clear instructions how to edit website text.

Cons: The online instructions for this task are limited, with no instructions to hyper-link to a pdf document or change a link destination. That lack of information required me to learn via chat. I had to wait to be connected, and then had multiple interruptions on my end of the chat. While the support person was very helpful and patient, I would prefer to be able to access clearly written directions or video so that I can learn at my own pace and have something to refer to in the future. I have my chat script, true, but it has no graphics for reference and required heavy editing to be useful as a reference document. I don't know how this observation relates to other aspects of MemberClicks.

Pros: We have been very happy with the Weblink product. It's easy to use and they continue to make investments to keep the technology up to date. One of the things that I appreciate most is their customer support. Recently, we've been making technology upgrades in our organization and on Friday- the last day of the month I could do a bank deposit- Weblink was having trouble talking with Quickbooks because we moved some of our directories.

Cons: I don't have anything bad to say about the product other than the issue I had was a problem connecting Weblink to Quickbooks- which has rarely been an issue. The problem started on my end with moving some directories during a technology upgrade.

Overall: We use Weblink for managing our website, as our CRM and for invoicing our members/ accounts receivable. It's a great product and I know we don't even use all of Weblinks capabilities to the full extent that we should be using them. Their customer support is outstanding.

Pros: I love that the software is user-friendly and that it comes with helpful how-tos and monthly videos explaining how to use new features.

Cons: Sometimes that software doesn't already do the functions we need it to. However, you can always write in to the help team. They haven't had a problem we weren't able to find a way around yet!

Overall: Constant updates with changing technology, easy to use website building and membership database.

Pros: It does almost everything we need easily and it is very intuitive to use. The layout for users is attractive and appealing.

Cons: So far I have no complaints. Have not had it long enough to explore all the options yet, but that will come with time.

Pros: The staff & customer support are very good and I usually hear back pretty quickly if I am using the email contact method. Calling is much faster.

Cons: We are a Customer Service association and would love to be able to have better communications between our members. The community features are limited.

MemberClicks has helped smooth out the process for event registrations and streamline renewals.

Pros: The support staff is very responsive and updates/features released are almost always something we've directly requested or can make use of. The form skip logic and ease-of-use has been very beneficial and cut the number of people who call in unable to figure out registration down to almost zero.

Cons: Some features are restrictive in creating or emailing invoices, and invoices already created currently cannot be edited at all. Invoices cannot be deleted permanently from the system, only "voided," which stay in a member's profile and can be viewed by them at all times.

Pros: Can access each member's info. in their profile. Links billing, membership dues, events, all together.

Cons: There is no phone support, only chat or email support. Sometimes it's so much faster & easier to have a live person speak with you instead of going back & forth via email.

Pros: The ease of working through the events & billing options make this a real win for us. Also, the affiliations and profile benefits help to keep us offering our members all we can and showing them a better ROI.

Cons: Sometimes it is hard to determine how to do something you need to do. However, Weblink offers great training, both in person and on-line, and I have utilized their on-line chat many times for small issues and to get to the bottom of a problem. They have wonderful follow-through and I have always been satisfied with the outcome.

Overall: Organization throughout the many tasks, events and billings that we deal with every day.

Pros: I like that I can track endless amounts of information about our members and prospects to help our organization understand the needs of each company/organization we want to support.

Cons: The slow part is getting the data into weblink in the first place. It's very difficult to upload information in bulk in a customized way. That is the system's greatest weakness.

Overall: This software has allowed us to automate some aspects of our administration and target our communications by adding detailed profile information into the database. We are also able to generate a number of customized reports.

Has been a big upgrade from what we used previously.

Pros: Integration of the CRM with the website is very smooth and the improvements to updating our web site have been great.

Cons: Flexibility to customize is not what I would like to see. Some areas are standard and don't allow for the look and feel that we would like to present.

Overall: An integrated CRM with web site to allow for a more streamlined process internally.

Pros: Comprehensive. Intuitive. Integrates well with our web site. Reliable. New updates often. Member based organization (Chamber of Commerce) specific. Flexible. Customer service and support has improved dramatically in the last 6-12 months. Good online and in person training resources available.

Cons: Does not integrate with our preferred financial package, Peachtree. Some difficulties from time to time creating the customized reports I'm looking for.

Overall: Member database and web site linked together. Better reporting. More reliable functionality.

MemberClicks acquired WebLink our database manager. We are pleased to find enhancements beneficial.

Pros: Exceptional customer service! A genuine willingness to connect with us by screen, phone, any means necessary to understand and then offer sound solutions to our questions. Thrilled to have learned they have analytics, click-thru and open data reports we can view. Suggestions AND training for social media, email blasts and communication outreach. They aren't "you should be doing xyz" they are more inclined to ask the right question and then offer a resource link for you to accomplish what you want. Which isn't saying they don't also offer alternative thinking if you are at a loss to make a change.

Cons: We have noticed a slowdown in saving and updating. It's not a significant slowdown. I'm able to work. Confident they will find a solution. It will not keep us from using or recommending to others (unless it's still slow months from now:-)

Overall: Learning they have analytic data now like open, click-thru, page views etc. Some expert information on improving our social media, newsletters and email blasts. One on one interaction via screen share. Great resources and training tools.

MemberClicks has an awesome product. It meets our needs and is improving constantly.

Pros: The main pro is the staff. They are ready to assist in setting up and finding solutions for us.
Plus this software allows us to connect companies and people in infinite ways. It allows us to put different descriptors on each company/person to assist in managing members. The program has a great search feature that allows us to pick just the right criteria for the group of members we are wanting to reach. Then we can mail, email or fax to these members, all right through the program. Plus we can export the information to Excel if ever we would like.
Another great feature is the website directory. We are able to designate which members appear in an online directory and we can add categories to the membership so the directory can be searched for just a certain category of member.
MemberClicks keeps coming out with improvements that make managing our data better.

Cons: The main con to this software was figuring out the best way to set up our members to get the most from the software. It took some trial and error, but we are really pleased with how willing the staff is to help us come up with solutions to our issues. We aren't able to do things the same way we always have, but with help from MemberClicks' staff, we have found ways that work for us and a lot of things are better. We just had to brainstorm with their staff.

Phenomenal technical support, easy to reach. Everyone is super friendly and helpful.

Pros: We can do everyone in one software...invoicing, marketing, data. The technical support team is amazing. They're super quick and always willing to help. I can always count on them.

Cons: A few too many steps sometimes for simple tasks (adding a new person, canceling a person, etc). And when I want something specific, sometimes there is a fee.

Overall: I love it and the technical support team is stellar. It's easy to use and they're always making improvements. I also love how I can connect with other Chambers.

Weblink has tons of features to ensure that your entire team gets what they need out of the softwar

Pros: The Support Centre is always helpful and prompt when answering my questions. It feels great to know that if I run into a snag, they're always there to help me find the solution. The webinars and training are also very thorough and get you on the right path to using Weblink as efficiently as possible.

Cons: There are some functions that I feel could be more intuitive. Especially in the Member tab. There seems to be a lot of fields that either aren't useful or are named something that keeps me guessing at what it's use is or there's fields where people might enter client info and then other's will put it in another spot which doesn't seem very useful.

Overall: It has made our event bookings easier. It allows all staff to work in the same software

Cons: It's a bit slow, and I cannot see all contacts in one place for one account, and running reports is a bit of a challenge

Pros: Easy to create an invoice and payment. If there's a problem, support team is ready to help and really like the chat window. This is a big help.

Cons: We need to approve the selfrenewed online web input to link on the member's profile. Sometime, Weblink is confusing.

The overall startup was far less difficult than we imagined. The best part of all is ease of use.

Pros: How simple it is to learn to use. Love the ease of payment entry. Also very easy to make an invoice or add to an invoice later.

Cons: A/R entries and reports are not as user friendly as we would like. The balancing of our deposits and our credit cards are confusing.

Overall: Less time spent on new member setup and dropped members. The system can do some of the work for me!

Pros: While initially seemingly complex, the software is actually pretty intuitive once you start using it. It has a plethora of features and ways to track, segment, and analyze your member base. But the best part of WebLink is their support. Customer support is always available, quick to respond, and exceedingly helpful.

Cons: I do wish the entire desktop client was available via the web portal, but I know that is in process, one piece at a time.

I am an admin user for my association and I've worked with Weblink for 3 years now.

Pros: I love that using this software has helped our staff standardize processes like accounts receivable, new member on-boarding, renewal reminders, and event reporting. I love that we can track students attendance and record CEC history. I love that we can customize our membership directory and online events to our own settings and needs. Lastly, I love that our new website has modern features and includes a job bank, upcoming event widget, and new members widget.

Cons: Some of the settings in Weblink can be complex.

Overall: We have been able to double our advertising revenue using banner ads on the weblink site. We have standardized our AR process, new member on-boarding, and renewal reminder policy using the mass communicator and various reporting. We now track student history a lot more efficiently and we re-market classes to those in need of CECs. We have a new user friendly website that our staff and board members are very proud of. Our application process and invoicing process is a lot faster and more accurate than ever before.

Customer support is the best I have ever worked with, they are polite, quick, and helpful.

Pros: They continually update the software based on requests from us the end users. They offer training webinars to help throughout the time you start using the software. I've been working with this for three years and this helps refresh me on the hows. My favorite feature is the search feature for members, it's fast, intuitive that if I don't know the whole name it still searches with just a few letters, I can easily find anyone. If I am typing a letter and need to verify a members name it so fast. I use to look up members through my outlook, not no more I go straight to the admin area and search. This way I not only get their name, I get all their information.

Cons: You can't use the back button and go back to the screen you were on. Sometimes that gets frustrating if I'm doing some research on members. It does take me longer to put events up on our website, but they do look better than our old site.

Overall: My events are more flexible and look better for people trying to register. Being able to import our members instead of entering each one individually saves so much time.

Pros: There are lots of functions within the software. We mainly use the software to manage our membership types and connect to another 3rd party software. The reporting section and query are very robust. I can pull all kinds of reports with just a few clicks.
The support team is quick to answer our questions and have always been available.

Cons: The listing function looks outdated online. I would like to see this area become more visually attractive.

Overall: Data pulls are quick and easy. I can also get a quick view of a member vs. a non-member with the color coding.

Very easy to sign in, start chatting with customer support, always very helpful!

Pros: That I can "be on the line" with the professionals while working away, that it's super-easy to use, and that I can receive a transcript of the chat afterwards for future reference.

Cons: Would like to be able to paste a screenshot into it, although I believe there's an upload option that helps.

Overall: Immediate access, ability to keep working while communicating with support staff, excellent customer service and virtually immediate resolutions to tech issues. Love it!

Weblink is easy to use and helps us to keep track of our membership, which changes every day.

Pros: There are a lot of functions that I'm not aware of or comfortable using yet, but the Customer Support is wonderful at helping to navigate the system. The chat function allows me to multitask, I can send them a quick message and they chat back when I'm up in the queue. Most of the time, my question gets answered right on the spot, if not, they follow up within 24 hours (usually less). They're constantly making updates to the system and adding features that make database management easier. They take suggestions from their customers and make you feel important. I have used Weblink for about 5 years, but I'm just now learning all of the things it can do. The training webinars and links to the knowledge base are KEY! They're so helpful.

Cons: I help the controller with posting transactions from Weblink to QuickBooks. The transactions come over as one batch, it would be great if there was a way to assign the member's name to the transactions so that we can more easily track the transactions and reconcile the bank accounts in QuickBooks.

Overall: We're able to integrate a lot of our products into Weblink like QuickBooks and Constant Contact. It's really helpful.

Pros: Definitely the customer service! I am not that good at technology and IT related tasks are difficult for me to deal with but Weblink team has always been a great help whenever I need tech assistance while using the sofware. I love the chat support option as well! Someone gets back to you within minutes which is great!

Cons: I love both the desktop and online software but wish it was possible to control the other features online such as "news articles". It would be also great if we were able to insert html codes while creating events (into long description section).

Overall: - training videos (I love them! These tutorials are helping us and our interns a lot)
- adding clients (our database is much cleaner now. Listing businesses under different industry categories helps both us and our business community. )

I am new to the product and have been amazed with the integration, capabilities and customer support

Pros: The program is easy to use and not cumbersome. While this is not a sales tool such as Sales Force is, this program does provide ample ways to manage sales and follow up. The developers are constantly adding new features to the product and listening to their customers for customer needs and adding features to follow those requests. Support is great to work with and quick to respond and they actually work to resolve issues presented.

Cons: Not much at all. The program suits the needs of this association easily. If I had to pick something specific, that would be the application is not 100% web based and is in a hybrid state. They are working to make it fully web based but many pieces don't exist in the web yet. The nice thing about the web based version is that it is much more responsive and quicker to work in than the desktop app is.

Overall: Replaces an over zealous CMS system we used and provides us with an application that is ever expanding and allowing us to connect multiple systems together easier than the previous application we used.

Pros: In one solution, MemberClicks provides everything our non-profit organization needs to run our operations. This includes membership management with secure self-service, event planning, event registration, onsite tools for attendee engagement, revenue collection, and social media and discussion groups.

Cons: The only con is that I am new to it and me review is based on short experience. The users in our organization are spread over two states, so training is going to be a challenge.

Overall: This product provides everything we need for our membership management, dues collection, event management, and social media presence.

Pros: I love the customer support team- they are always so helpful, and if they don't have the answer, they find it! They also follow up with an email that recaps your conversation.

Pros: It is all linked together. I love that it will talk to my quickbooks and any updates to my member listing instantly populate my website - no more double updating!

Cons: It has great functionality, but training is required. It's not always intuitive, however, the support is always there. I call and usually within 5 minutes I've got someone on the phone who will walk me through what I need. I've never had someone who isn't fully capable; expert assistance available.

Overall: We switched to MemberClicks largely for the on-line registration and payment feature. Then, we switched our website over once we learned that the system would talk to and update the website information. Beautiful!

Pros: I definitely like the ease of use. The interface makes it easy to find what I'm looking for - and if there's something I can't find, MemberClicks has an entire library full of FAQs and tutorials (including images and videos) that I can quickly access with a couple strokes of the keyboard. There's not much I can't find. If I do need further assistance, I can easily send an email. If I need help faster (even though the email option is pretty darn quick), the help team is available by phone - and they are able to assist WHEN I call. It's annoying when I need help and I can't get answers I need right away - I love that the MemberClicks team is available when I need them and they are patient with me since I ask a ton of questions.
Another thing I love is the constant work going on to enhance the features. MemberClicks makes it easy to submit ideas and feedback (and they encourage it). If you find that something would make your life easier for your membership organization, just click a button and let them know. They review feedback and work to make things more convenient and functional for their customers.
I can't leave a review without commenting on my excitement for having a website and database in one. It's so nice having a functional database (that operates our membership and financials) that also allows us to control access to member-only pages of the website and forum. It also allows us to use the database to feed our directories. (AND It's so easy to use and update.)

Cons: There are still some work-arounds we have to do. The software isn't perfect for our organization - but to be perfectly honest and fair, there isn't one out there that is. We are a membership organization with a unique structure. I'm amazed at how the MemberClicks team was able to take our unique organizational structure and work with us to provide a functional database. In addition - like I mentioned above - I'm submitting ideas and feedback to the team and I've already seen things come to fruition in the platform. I know they will continue to work with the system to make things better. I have read a couple comments about others needing to do "work-arounds". Unless your organization/business has the money to build/customize a database specific to your structure, you'll have to do a work-around no matter where you go. The fact that MemberClicks CAN provide solutions through work-arounds says something about the innovation behind the platform.

Overall: We use MemberClicks as our database and website for the three programs operated by our organization. The platform provides us the convenience of accessing one location (per program) for a database and website. Through the database, we're able to house all of our members, prospects, and more. We're able to build forms and process payments. We're able to click a few buttons and access monthly reports. We're able to offer member-only website pages, forums, and social networking pages. There's so many benefits to this service - I can't list them all. One of the benefits that I find valuable (and one of the reasons we changed from our previous provider), is we have FULL immediate control of what is published/unpublished from our site. We don't have to as someone else (the host) to make a change and then ... wait ... We can do what we want when we want to do it with our site and our database. If we need help (or if we mess something up), the MemberClicks team is immediately available to assist. Another benefit I find valuable is the automated functions. Many of the automated features included save manual "manpower" hours (i.e. automated receipts and/or invoices and follow/ups). I also like the reporting and the contact center where I'm able to easily view (email) stats. Anyhow, there are lots of benefits to this software and I highly recommend it to member associations.

Pros: Customer service is great! They always respond quickly and resolve every issue quickly. The forms are easy to use and easy to create.

Cons: We are currently in memberclicks classic which needs work but we will be upgrading soon and I anticipate the problems we have will be fixed in the upgrade. We use the contact center to send newsletters and I wish we had more format/editing options with newsletters.

Pros: They have great customer service - always nice and supportive to our concerns. I also like that I can run ad hoc reports on any field within our database. Most features are intuitive and easy to use.

Cons: The newsletter function isn't terribly user-friendly. I wish there was the option to export an entire calendar to an external calendar system. Also, the financial exports don't seem to mesh well with our QuickBooks system, so that's been difficult on our bookkeeper.

We are so excited for our new membership software. This is a huge step up from our previous tool.

Pros: It is very versatile. Event forms are incredible! We can now have if/then statements, which make our registration forms easier to navigate and less confusing for our users. Customer Support is the best part of MemberClicks!

Cons: It can be a little cumbersome. There are some areas that seem disjointed. I find myself looking in multiple places until I find what I need. That may stop happening once we use it longer. One of the biggest cons I have are with the various settings that have to be turned on/off for each member type/group and the lack of an app. It can be time-consuming to find them and to remember to turn them on/off for the various activities in the system -- such as forms, renewals, etc. It would also be nice if there was a built-in app. As more and more folks use their devices for everything, systems such as these should really come with an app.

Overall: It has more of the bells and whistles that we need/want!

Pros: Beautiful design, mostly helpful help desk, easy to get a hold of them. Performs basic functions well once you have spent enough time researching how they work.

Cons: We are unable to fully utilize the site for our end users. Many of the features are not intuitive, and even though we were promised a solution by the design team, it has yet to happen. We are finding more and more annoying work arounds instead of intuitive solutions. We are constantly wishing we could have just one help desk representative instead of working with multiple reps, because we are on the phone with them multiple times per week (if not per day). We are still finding/patching holes that were promised to be a part of the website in the implementation phase. This is especially frustrating because we stressed our specific need for them, and those topics were ignored or pushed a few months off only to be "resolved" by a general webcast. Truly, I feel as though we were sold a website, rushed through implementation with training on only billing, even though we asked for specific training on certain items. This site has a lot of potential, but it was not implemented well at all. We are frustrated by it daily.

Pros: The responsiveness of the help desk! They help with all problem solving, and are very easy to reach. Also, I appreciate that everything ties in together so that it streamlines forms, emails, the member database with our website.

Cons: Some user experience items have yet to be completely refined. Pros: The support team is great. I've stumped them a few times, but they do figure everything out! And, I like that they ask for input on their forums so that improvements are constantly being made. It's nice for us, after leaving a horrible set of processes for work-arounds with lots of manual work, to be on a seamless all-in-one solution that is affordable.

Cons: Payment on forms is awkward (having separate selection sets is confusing to some people and we do refunds routinely because of it). There needs to be an easier way to purchase single or multiple tickets to events that is more streamlined for visitors to the site.

Memberclicks is a great association management system. I've had the best experience this past year.

Cons: I wish there was a digital membership certificate or card, which pulled in the member name, number, and expiration date that was printable. I designed an article that we use as a certificate with all that info however it doesn't print in a way that members can frame and display it easily.

Pros: The integration: all member info in one place. Our previous system was very disjointed and MC has certainly alleviated a lot of manual tasks. It is great that members can log into their profile and see all their activities: payments, registrations, donations, messages etc.

Cons: Some areas require extra steps that could be condensed such as you cannot print/email an invoice directly from a member's profile. You need to Invoice tab outside of the member's profile. There is no conference software such as badging, CE certificates, evaluations, session monitoring etc. Customization of invoice lines such as a conference with one day pricing does not break out which sessions they are attending. Readable forms that you can print out.

Our non-profit professional membership association uses MemberClicks for its database and website.

Comments: They are a great company, but in terms of streamlining, they didn't have what we needed in order to streamline our association needs.

Pros: Customer service with this product is amazing, I can reach them by email, phone or submitting a ticket and they're quick to respond. When they don't have a solution, we explore options together. They offer a lot of features and functionality.

Cons: With a lot of functionality, comes a lot of training and knowing what each and every detail does. Though they are excellent at responding to the "why" I had to become an expert in their product myself - it's not an intuitive platform at all and you really need to know what you're doing, and how. Doesn't work with Canadian taxes on their forms, so we had to come up with an alternative way to do this, and then capture it in QuickBooks, so it creates double the work.

Pros: Easy to learn as a regular user, lots of flexibility and user-defined workflows, responsive customer service, easy to send email blasts, lots of intuitive features - things tend to be located where you would naturally look for them. It's pretty powerful, particularly for the price point. I like how much is automated and that you can control a lot of it when you have special circumstances. We have fewer work-arounds than I've ever had with a database.

Cons: Complexity of internal setup and interaction between different modules - just a lot to learn and track so you make sure the right members get the right messages. Definitely need at least one staff person who is a "super user" to get it all sorted in the beginning and keep it running when changes happen/new features are released. Our membership structure is really complicated so keeping track of all the different permissions and testing workflows is crucial and time consuming.

The lack of API is really annoying, though I'm told that's coming soon. It's also annoying that custom attributes (e.g. our member numbers which apply to organizations, not individuals) don't "cascade" from org-level profiles to their linked individual profiles. MC has an automated member number system but it assigns a unique member number to each profile. That makes uploads/data cleanup easier, but since we have one number to cover all the people working for a given organization, we don't use that feature - we have a manual process work-around which is annoying.

Overall: We've been with Memberclicks for a few years and when we started using it we were really disappointed - from the data migration that took over a month to the implementation that took four months and a HUGE chunk of time, to features that didn't work the way we needed. Then a year ago - BANG - new reality!

They released an entirely rebuilt database system to some early adopters (including us) and the implementation was FULLY supported (though it took a while, apparently our needs are complicated) and the new platform is great! The staff clearly took all of their clients' feedback and suggestions and recommendations, and continue to do so, and continue to build features and weed out bugs quickly. The customer service staff clearly has new energy - they're incredibly helpful and responsive by email. One major issue is that it does NOT have an API right now - so no talking to other databases.

We use MC to manage our complex membership structure (mix of organizations and individuals, with different tiers and a variety of dues structures) and our event registration (we do about 20 events per year). We also use it as our "membership only" website so members can login and self-serve, and as our email blast client. The best feature in my opinion (as membership manager) is the automated renewal invoices. Our bookkeeper likes the way payments can be posted and reports run on transactions. Our communications director likes how easy the "contact center" is to use with the exception that saved messages are stored by their subject line (e.g. rather than labelling a message "BOE Event 2-25-16" it uses the subject line "Join us for nonprofit fundraising workshop" which makes searching problematic.) Our administrative assistant likes how easily you can set up organization-to-individual relationships, and how that's automated when someone takes the Membership Application form online (though there are a few bugs there.)

Overall they system is pretty easy to learn and has lots of flexibility and user-controlled or defined aspects. The flexibility makes implementation arduous - you have to set permissions for every member type for every attribute in the database itself and again for public directories and webpages. The MC team walk you through it and can do a lot of the work for you but your prep on defining processes/workflows is crucial. Overall I'd recommend MC - just be clear about what it is you NEED a system to do and what you want a system to do for you.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be thorough in understanding exactly what you need the system to do and how it's going to interact with other systems (e.g. quickbooks). Run tests with fake data so you can see how complex or easy it is to make it do what you want.

Pros: I think the easy of use and the customer service. The always work to answer my questions or come up with a solution. The importing of database updates is much easier in this version as opposed to the classic version.

Cons: Some of the reporting features need to be updated. There are some limitations with ability to grant access to our chapter presidents so they can edit their own webpages and run their own membership reports. The classic version of this product had that ability. Also it is not able to have one person register other users unless they all share the same password.

Overall: This is a great service for small associations. They help desk is the best, always ready to help and answer any question I have. It is a wonderful product. There are some flaws and features that need to be added to improve the product but engineering is working on solutions.

Recommendations to other buyers: It takes a little while to navigate around but once you fully explore everything you can see how much power this system gives you.

Pros: The HelpDesk is extremely helpful and always available. They interface of the product is nice too.

Cons: Not completely intuitive and changes are made without much notice. Occasionally it will take a few weeks for an update to be made.

Overall: The HelpDesk team is always available and eager to find a solution to the issue. If an immediate issue is not found, they are always happy to find a work-around. They follow-up accordingly and are always extremely professional. I enjoy working with the HelpDesk.

Pros: Fairly easy to navigate. You can learn as you go.

Cons: Some of it is dated, but we are using the classic version. If we upgrade, we must do it during slow season.

Overall: We have used MemberClicks since 2009. While our membership and activities have grown, our staff has not! MemberClicks makes this possible, as we are able to manage dues for 1400 members and at least one dozen events per year between the two of us. While neither of us has computer/software/HTML training, the platform is user-friendly and allows us each to develop skills to manage our online presence. And when we don't know something, the help desk is there to assist.

Recommendations to other buyers: none that I can think of.

Pros: I think if you didn't have excellent Customer Support I would not like it as well.

Cons: I'm not fond of some of the limitations. I'd like the suffix field to be a fill-in, not a drop-down. People work hard and obtain credentials (i.e., Ph.D.) and members use that credential as part of their name. I'd like the middle initial in our forms to export -- middle initials are important to some people! I generate certificates using the form information and I need that middle initial. I don't like the credit/refund process -- maybe I just need to understand it and get used to it.

Overall: I'm not a "techy" person - I am intimated by most technology. I was a bit disappointed when we upgraded platforms and felt that the Memberclicks person assigned to our account was not as helpful as she could have been for the set-up. When I call Customer Support they are all very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. Some of my questions are easy and some aren't. I've been working with Memberclicks for about 3 years. I came in from Access Database, where I had complete control over the fields and could do whatever I wanted. Every software is limited more than that, but generally I find Memberclicks fairly accommodating for our needs.

Pros: It integrates member management software with an association website that has sections for internal and external audiences.

Cons: The interface has a few areas that could be better organized (for instance, pull-down lists for applying styles that are not alphabetized).

Overall: I began using MemberClicks five years ago with a nonprofit association that has a large site with a lot of legacy material. Some of the good features I have noticed are unlimited customer support (I usually submit a help ticket via email) and the capacity to either use the editing interface or edit HTML if desired.

The support staff are always chipper and upbeat. Occasionally clarifying questions takes some going back and forth to explain a request. On the other hand, a good number of the team members seem fairly seasoned and in some projects they clearly go the extra mile to investigate what might be possible or to be responsive. Sending mass-email newsletters can take a lot of testing when adjusting appearance of an HTML email because the email-editing interface does not always precisely display what you will ultimately get upon transmission. For a while the ASA users could recommend or vote on product enhancements in a knowledge base, which can still be searched on the back end. Occasionally I have wished for material to share with our association members to explain how things like the forums work (there is a video showing what end-users see). The company focuses on supporting small staffs and comments in the knowledge base sound appreciative of the support received.

Recommendations to other buyers: Stay with the provider's "native" look-and-feel for simplicity of managing and keeping up pages.

Overall: I have been using MemberClicks in varying capacities for 5 years as our membership database. It has all of the functionality we need - listserv, membership management, forms, reports, and more. If I ever have a problem or need help, I simply contact the help desk and they help me within 24 hours and stay with me until I 100% understand how to do something or the issue is resolved. There are some bugs to work out sometimes but mostly, that has to do with me not setting something up correctly! In any case, my organization has tried to look into similar platforms with the same or more functionality and I plead my case each time to stay with MemberClicks (because I am the one to use it 99% of the time) because of their amazing customer support.

Cons: Most of our issues will hopefully be resolved when we move to Memberclicks' new platform. We are still using Classic. It would be nice to export membership data retroactively.

Overall: I had a large learning curve, due to my lack of IT experience, when I started using Memberclicks. Their help forms were great for getting introduced to the system and anything that is not covered there, is always quickly and sufficiently explained and/or fixed with a call to their Help phone line. Our rep is fantastic to get help from because he not only thoroughly explains and fixes an issue, but will offer some pointers and information that gives me a better grasp on using Memberclicks, which comes in handy going forward.

Cons: It's sometimes hard to get a solution to a problem. Because it's so customizable, we tweak it to meet out needs and customer support has to figure out what we did and how to fix it :o)

Overall: Building an online membership directory that highlights one person per organization can be tricky. Setting up several different member types and permissions was creating a challenge for us but it took one call to MemberClicks customer support and we were able to get the directory online and showing what we needed. Sometimes the technology is difficult to understand but with such great customer service MemberClicks is hands down the best AMS for us!

Comments: We've been using MemberClicks ever since the failed migration of Affiniscape to YourMembership. The customer support issues we faced during that migration encouraged us to seek another AMS provider. We reviewed 10 different providers, and when we interviewed MemberClicks, it was clear that we had found a good fit. Just about all of the AMS systems will do the same things - but MemberClicks has a customer support team that is truly unmatched. For us, it's more important to have good customer service than anything else. With just 1 paid staffer, we're not able to consult with tech specialists to get the job done. We rely heavily on the expertise and kindness of the support team. I would recommend that anyone looking to purchase or change their AMS should strongly consider service to be as important as functionality. In terms of functionality, MemberClicks in first class. It's easy to use, easy to learn, and looks beautiful. Our members love it and so do we. They help you get started, too. You aren't going to be building things from scratch. They help you set up your primary pages as part of your build out. This is really a pop-up AMS, and we'll never look back.

Comments: Memberclicks software is very flexible for associations like ours. We have a membership of around 500 individuals and a total database between 5,000-10,000 and it is easily managed through Memberclicks. We use the forms and database the most and it keeps good records of who is signing up for what events. Being in a technology based industry, we have not come across any major complaints or issues so it should be more than adequate for most users.

Pros: Memberclicks customer service is top notch. It is easy to get a hold of knowledgeable and friendly tech support on the phone anytime they are open and emails are promptly responded to by the same helpful staff. Most things are easy to work with and there is a ton of existing knowledge base that is easy to search so the good thing is tech support is rarely needed. If you are building an entire website through Memberclicks, you can integrate pages with information in your database and have it all linked and smartly interactive so that is a big plus.

Cons: If you have varying levels of membership and corporate memberships that include individual memberships, it can be difficult to organize exactly the way you want. Basically, you want to have an administrator from the company that can handle membership updates for all included members but also have the individuals with access to their own profiles independently. There are workarounds but those require more manual work so that is the biggest drawback. On the other hand, I've checked out and used other similar software and most of them have the same issues so it seems to be something that no one has really come up with a good solution for yet.

Comments: My association has been using MemberClicks since 2012 and it has truly transformed the way we work for the better. Before using MemberClicks we had a searchable database and website, but both were very clunky and difficult to use for the user and staff. The MemberClicks database is very easy to use and customizable.

Pros: The MemberClicks platform is user friendly to make updates to the website or the database. We use the email marketing/contact center all the time. We are able to send personalized emails, schedule message deliveries, and track open rates, bounces and click-thrus. We also use the event registration for all of our meetings, this has allowed us to accept credit card payments and send customized emails to our attendees. Also, the customer service is fantastic!

Cons: MemberClicks only has a few website templates that can limit how your site looks, but we were able to find one that works for our needs and looks great. We are anxiously awaiting the new MemberClicks platform to incorporate a few features we utilize daily on the "Classic" platform.

A great solution for our Neighborhood Association.

Comments: We have tried various CMS or custom solutions over the years but the Memberclicks SaaS (Software as a Service) brings all of our organizational management needs to a single user interface. We now have a single source for Membership, Social Events and Website that is convenient, easy to manage and easier to use.

Plus, Memberclicks provides a number of features that we did not have before. Some of the features that attracted us to Memberclicks were Automated email reminders, Payment subscription options, Event management and a feature rich Website . It's a real CMS solution for us.

Not that we have needed them much but the Customer Service team has been top notch when we have called. While the user interface for the Membership Profiles takes a few minutes to learn, it provides all of the features we need. And because we are on a SaaS platform, as we grow and evolve our organization, Memberclicks will grow to meet our needs.

Robust program. Not always intuitive, but great customer support.

Comments: As someone who works for a small non-profit, we use this product to manage our fellow database. The process of importing data could use better instructions and warnings about little glitches, and the benefits of using a basic or advanced import. However, the overall experience of importing data went well and the error signs were clear as to what part of the data needed cleaning. Help desk was great support, especially the person who stayed on the phone with me to troubleshoot issues during my import and gave me advice to solve any future problems.

Pros: Membership management, Payment processing and form development. I like that the MC staff is timely and responsive. My donations, membership fees and fundraising efforts can all be created, accessed and processed in one system.

Cons: The forms and pages can be a little tricky and time consuming to develop. But it is still way easier than HTML.

Comments: I am so frustrated trying to implement this. We had read a few reviews saying that it isn't designed for trade associations and we were hesitant at first, but assured that those glitches have been fixed and it seemed like it would work well enough until we could move to something else. That is not the case. It is not easy to use, it is not intuitive. I can not have lower level staff working in it as much as I would like because it takes so many steps to get anywhere and things are not organized in a logical fashion. The parent/child relationships we are using to organize contacts by company is very cumbersome. It is just not designed to accommodate our structure, so if you are a trade association, don't believe them that it will work for you.

And, they told us everything was fully customizable, and it is not. We want to limit/moderate interactions between members and though we can disable the directory and search and connect functions like we were told, they are still visible to members in the "My Profile" page and just don't work. Who designs software like that? They clearly don't seem to think this is a problem. So my only option is to wait until members call complaining that the software search functions don't work then try to explain to them that no, we just disabled it because we don't want you to use it. That is just not acceptable.
