I have been able to make good sales with it so far. The customer service is also very efficient. Pros RoomSketcher is intuitive. Very little technical knowledge is required to navigate through the software. It is user friendly and is relatively inexpensive if you know what you're doing. Cons The limited library. I found it easy to navigate, and creating and editing floor plans is a breeze. Even if you're new to this kind of software, you'll get the hang of it quickly.But what really impressed me were the features. Customization options allowed me to make unique and stylish floor plans. Accurate measurement tools were essential for property assessments. The integration capabilities made it simple to add floor plans to my marketing materials. Collaboration and sharing features also made working with clients and my team a lot more efficient. Pros It fixes many problems we had while manually doing it, also the customer support was top-notch. They were responsive and guided me through any questions I had during the onboarding process.For the value it offers, the software is worth every penny. Pros You can send your plans in, and within 24 hours you have them in roomsketcher. It was very easy to learn how to use and didn't take a lot of "teaching". Cons I wish it was a bit easier to visually see the change in fabric colors on furniture pieces. It's really easy to switch between 2D and 3D. Cons The furniture selects are very limited and not current with U.S. trends. For this reason we do not use this software for most new construction projects. Example: wood textured flooring, bathroom vanity selections - nothing is available that interior designs demand in new construction renderings. Everything is a bit dated or European. I like the easy of use and the ability to drag objects around and resize them. It's a great tool for the price. Pros 3d and 360 are great ways to look at the product from all sides and angles. Mostly easy to use. Cons Adding some items, or letting the user create something not in the library like beams, wider variety for furnature as well as roofing material would be nice. Also a matriel list would be super. Adding layers for electrical and plumbing would have been great too. Reason for choosing RoomSketcher As a beginner, I didn't want to spend too much. Pros Ease of use and 3D rendering. #60 views are helpful. Walk throughs are also good if a little basic Cons \- Difficult to get different wall heights in rooms under eaves to work properly when there are different roof angles needed – difficult to save project if wall heights don't align - Can't add skylights to rooms in the eaves of house as there is no facility for windows to match angle of roof so renders always show vertical windows. - Exterior view of property plans don't allow to show a roof structure place - Exterior view doesn't allow you to stack floors to get full exterior view – can't layer for plans to check alignments from floor to floor. - You can't model exterior space like paths or walkways unless they are attached to property wall (like balconies function). The library of furniture items is a little bit limiting and difficult to see what the item is until you drop in the 3D. It would help to have larger pictures of the items so you don't waste time dropping items in that don't look the way you want them to. Pros I use RoomSketcher to help design and plan for multi-trade instruction for apprentices. It is easy to use to help lay out and then visualize virtually for the instructor what the lab and classroom environment should look like. Cons There are things that are specific to me that I would like to be different. There is not enough mechanical items for me to lay out the labs fully, i.e. HVAC systems, floor drains, shower drains, etc. There is also no way for me to design a stud wall without finish wall surface. March 11, 2024 1.0 Pros Has basic floor plan layout and furniture to use. Cons Unless you just use the free version which gives you very basic options and not much overall usage or you want to pay for a Pro version FOREVER to keep your drawings/ projects I would not use this program/ company! So let me explain, if you try a free version draw up your plans then decided to upgrade to a pro version to use all the required functions you must then remain on Pro and pay indefinitely to keep those plans. If not they will delete your all plans and you need to start over from scratch. So its either the free version (which gives you not much usage) or Pay Pro forever to keep your plans! It’s mostly very easy to use and gets you great results. The only thing we would love to have and are still missing is a possibility to film a 3D tour through the space and also better integration with Third party software f.e. Immoscout to promote the space on, so the 3D tour can actually be displayed in the media. Pros It’s very simple to get good-looking results very quickly. Cons The camera perspectives and how you take 3D Pictures was harder to find out. But the support cleared all our questions and was very helpful. Pros Through RoomSketcher's floorplan drafting service, we're able to upload a standard apartment floorplan which their team brings to life in less than 24 hours. I find the software easy to use especially now that I've been using the software for a long time. I find I can bust out a floorplan quickly and easily using the shortcut keys which somewhat remind me of playing a PC game like Starcraft 2. I'd recommend the software to anyone looking to do 2d floorplan drawings. Pros I love the ease of the use of the shortcut keys to rip between functions in the software. The customer support is great which I've used a couple of times. The software isn't overcomplicated Cons I sometimes don't like the way the snap function works in regards to walls. However, a lot of this frusteration came from simply not fully understanding how everything works. Now that I've been using the software for some time, I've learned to work within the boundaries of the software and have mostly alleviated this. Unable to make wall thickness less than 2'', which would be helpful for custom drawings. January 19, 2024 5.0 I am currently building a home and this tool has been amazing. It’s great to “walk” through the plan to get a feel of it. Because of this, we have made several design changes that will impact the home’s functionality. I’ve also been able to play with furniture placement, make kitchen layout decisions , decide on number of kitchen pendants, etc. Pros I loved that I could pay room sketcher to “build” my floor plan so that it could be up and running immediately. Then, I could make changes in the plan without being overwhelmed. The cost for them to create the plans were very reasonable and well worth it!! Cons It was initially difficult to understand how the credits worked. I burned through the credits quickly without understanding. By designing their floor plan for them, my clients know exactly what to expect and understand the need to make the right selections and what limitations need to be made prior to their move. It's also a time management tool so the movers know exactly where to place their content on moving day, no waiting for those decisions to be made. Cons There are a few pieces of furniture that are not named what my clients and I call them, but we find alternatives. The floor lamps are difficult to view on the floor plan because the outline if thin, but we still manage.
