Sometimes it¿s easier to let them schedule.

Comments: I absolutely love the ability to have my clients pick their own appointments. There¿s been more than once when I had a client who had such a busy schedule that we couldn¿t pinpoint a good day for their appointment over the phone. I just had them go in and pick a time and write themselves in! It saved me so much time so that I was able to focus on other clients. I was also able to share calendars with my co-workers so that everyone had the correct schedule. I just really wish that there was phone support just in case something did go wrong with us trying to figure out all of the features. Hopefully, that will change in the future.

Pros: By far, the best feature is the ability to have clients schedule their own appointments. As a busy person, I don¿t often have the time for the back and forth of scheduling a client. With Acuity, they can look at my schedule, see when I¿m free, and then put themselves in wherever it¿s convenient for them. I also like that the calendars adjust for time zones. This is helpful if you have clients all over the country yet don¿t want to have to figure out the time differences. The tutorial for Acuity was very informative and made using the program a breeze. Having the calendars sync up for groups is also very handy rather than having everyone input the info individually.

Cons: Sometimes, there is such a thing as too much. Acuity has so many features that it¿s overwhelming. There is no way I could use every single feature, so it seems like overkill. It¿s also made even more difficult because there is no phone support. If I had a number I could call, perhaps they could explain to me what each of the features does that way I¿m not so overwhelmed. Phone support would also be handy in case something breaks, most likely from trying to figure out the different features. With something as important as your schedule, you need to have almost instant solutions, and lack of phone support means you have to wait to get a response, which costs time and money lost.

Amazing. Seriously. If I could give more than 5 stars for customer support I totally would.

Pros: I was looking for software that A) Had the ability to seamlessly coordinate shared appointments across multiple calendars B) was REALLY easy to use and C) was HIPAA compliant. I couldn't easily find the dual calendar feature, and contacted customer support before I moved on, their executive was AWESOME. He understood my question (not easy!), pointed me in the right direction, set up the behind-the-scenes setting that I needed, was super helpful, and made me laugh. I've had a month to play with the software, and I'm really appreciating the features and ease of use. We don't use any of the customer-interfacing portion of the software, nor have we dabbled yet in the integrating of billing, but the core client/calendar management features have been SO great. I also really love the corporate culture of Acuity. Their on-screen prompts, quirky sense of humor, and human element (go read the bios of the employees), make me want to be part of their team. And their commitment to super-serve their clients made me feel like I was the most important client in the world, even though I was just one tiny little trial client checking them out. Finally, no matter how much I liked the product or the company, it would have been a dead-end if I couldn't ensure HIPAA compliance for our data protection and client confidentiality. Great features, robust security, and amazing support - all I need now are flowers and chocolate!

Cons: Well, apart from the fact that the one required feature I need (HIPAA compliant security) is only available at the highest paid level (regardless of what other features you may need), there's only one software challenge I've encountered. The daily calendar - where I can see one or all of the individual or shared calendars, is very useful - I can easily see open appointments as white space, so "at a glance" I can see what is available in an individual's calendar. The WEEKLY view, however, condenses the days' calendars, so it only shows the currently filled appointments and removing white space, making it difficult to visualize open appointments across multiple providers' calendars at one time. I have partially overcome this by creating color coded appointments for each provider (even though it's the same service), so that i can at least see quickly the volume of appointments by color. But the weekly calendar really only works effectively for me when looking at one provider's calendar at a time. There may be a way to customize the weekly view that I have not yet discovered, or a way to color-code the calendars rather than the appointments, worth an email to Shane in customer support, but regardless, not a deal breaker for me!

Overall: Ability to seamlessly manage multiple calendars, have ready access to calendar, client details and historical data, and access information remotely, but also securely!

Pros: The developers seem to know what's happening in your world before any other calendar software seems to. I've tried a lot of them to find the perfect combo, and Acuity (even though I have a lifetime subscription to Book Like a Boss) has been my staple for 3+ years or maybe even more. The best thing about Acuity is its flexibility to adapt to your business, rather than forcing you to change your processes to suit it. If you want a subscription business that offers a certain amount of calls to your community each month, you can do that. If you wanted a storefront where people can buy and book as they please, you can do that. And all the little extra thoughts on the calendar, like blocking off time, and keeping only the right amount of appointments available, and adjusting your calendar availability quickly and easily. It's just so well thought out.

Cons: I would like to see their designs brought into the future a bit more. I find the storefront a bit dated and as such have always avoided using it even though it would have saved me a lot of time. I also find some of their extra-fancy features have unwanted side effects at times. For example, there is a genius new feature where Acuity will only let people book appointments next to each other, so you don't have big gaps in the day. However, for someone like me that has to have different blocks available for timezones, it confuses Acuity and thinks that things I want available shouldn't be. So occasionally with features, it's not quite as smart as you want it to be.

Most flexibility/features, without compromising the simplicity of scheduling for clients.

Pros: On the hunt for a 'good' scheduling software I tried out many free trials, and among those Acuity stood out. Acuity seemed to be the only software I could find that allowed me to customize different appointment types to my needs, without compromising the ease of use for my clients (e.g., simplicity and ease of use). I was able customize my automated reminders/confirmation emails AND text messages for each appointment type which was not available with all softwares (text message reminders, personally, has greatly decreased 'no shows'). The confirmation emails and reminders also have a re-scheduling button, which helped the hassle of dealing with rescheduling emails. Another selling point was the ability to sync Acuity to google calendar. On the user side, this allowed me to set availability based on my google calendar availability, and also see my appointment in google calendar. For clients, there confirmation email allowed them to add their appointment to google calendar. In summer here are other reasons why I chose Acuity: client scheduling is ascetically pleasing and super simple, ability to create multiple different appointment types with different features (e.g., intake forms, availability, duration, reminders ect.). This review is based of the feature I needed from Acuity, although Acuity has other really great features I plan on someday taking advantage of such as Rooms and Resources---great aspect to the software.

Cons: The overall con of the software is I found there to be a slight learning curve. Personally, I would say I am pretty tech-savvy and have some programming experience, so scheduling software should be pretty straight forward. However, I did run in to some trouble when creating appointments. Here are some examples: there seems to be a couple ways to set a particular setting such as the start time of the appointment and the amount of clients who can schedule the same appointment--both can be set in the calendar availability and specific appointment type availability (wonder which setting overrides the other??), still have not figured out how to have different appointment types on the same calendar with the same availability that CAN BE be scheduled at the same time without being considered 'over-booking' (solved this by adding appointment types to different calendars in Acuity), customer support pages videos seemed to be based on a later version of the Acuity so are not very helpful. I also have a suggestion based on the intake forms--The forms are useful, and a good feature but it would be nice if the form included some display logic like other survey platforms. For example, I ask clients if they would like to receive cash or gift card compensation. If the participant chooses gift card I would like another question to display that asks if they would like a gift card for amazon or wawa.

Comments: For the record, I really like Acuity Scheduler - and while the customer service is only during the week, for the cost/value makes it understandable of why that is, and honestly - its never been a problem to wait to hear from someone till Monday. I have been using it for our studio for the past year. Started from scratch with very little capital to open our doors, and Acuity made it possible to be in the 21st century and keeping our schedule clear, and concise.

Pros: If you're a small new business, you can not go wrong with Acuity Scheduler! It is easy to get started, book appointments, make gift certificates, add in discounts, connect it to apps such as Quickbooks, MailChimp, Constant Contact - and many others. If your a wellness worker, THIS IS the only low cost small business scheduler that offers HIPPA compliance! Our clients like the view of the site, intigration tools and SEO markers for web sites - its all there!

Cons: There are going to be problems with every program - but having a small studio that we share, it would be nice to see a wait list for clients when we are totally booked out. I needed a program that was HIPPA compliant - which is why I went with Acuity - but the forms are chunky and hard to manage. Clients don't like the way that they read - and I know that they are long - but acuity makes them seem even longer - which equates in people only doing half of the health intake forms. Also, they limit how much you can put into a section. It would be nice to expand a section, make it a little longer to read, but a simple yes or no question at the end to make the document seem less lengthy. It is hard to make a change to an instructor if they have a sub come in to teach the class - while it does not happen all that often, attaching the proper instructor to the class at the last minute would be a great benefit so that the participants know who is teaching without having to pretty much re-write the schedule and re-book clients into the changed class. Better integration with our book-keeping system - while it transfers over fairly well - differentiating tips, the use of passes (Acuity uses 'codes' for passes) showing the discounts as line items would be extremely helpful.

Recommendations to other buyers: I really like Acuity, but my business has grown to a size where acuity is now becoming a little out-dated and I need something just a bit more robust, as well as I need something that has wait lists, and an app to allow others to see us in our local small community. The more visible we are, the more likely people will find us, visit, and possible stay. This being said, single owners, small business size with a limited budget for scheduler... YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG WITH THIS PRODUCT!

Pros: Quick support service - priceless!

Unlimited customer intake form customization!

Easy to use software.

Clean design.

Cons: Could expend a bit more in customization to implement descriptions of repetitive tasks/procedures, that businesses perform for their customers. i.e. If gas station employee has to write about what he has done for every customer during his shift it would be beneficial for him to have a field that he can select saying; fill up gas tank or wash windshield or pomp all 4 tires.

Overall: How they won me over? Good Program AND Fast Service.

Quick email replies with well-written explanations supported by a picture, video or animated screen capture. What else can you expect from Technical Support Team?

It is all there. If you value your time. you don't need to search online anymore. Trust me. Sign up for their service and test it yourself; 14-day test period is absolutely free and FULLY supported by Acuity Scheduling staff.

I have switched from paper daily planners to software back in 2012. As of the time of this review, it's been over 4 years and I have changed software providers 3 times. Well, actually 4 times - because I'm moving again! This time though it looks that I have found what I was looking for Acuity Scheduling.

First, I have adopted installable software . It had good doc's to assist the installation, but the backup had to be done manually, through Windows file structure. Once during the process, something got corrupted and I could not recover from it. The company programmer was able to get most files back but not all. It crushed one more time after that, with corruption in password file. Decided to change.

I switched to online booking system based out of UK.

Software was really looking good at first, but turn out it was written in very messy design, difficult to set up and configuration of it took over 6 weeks to make it work the way I wanted.

Changes were partially due to the UK English with a lot of British way of describing things. The cost wasn't bad.

Shortly after I've renewed it for the next year and made the payment ¿ they refused to service me because.... I have asked too many questions. Yes, I received email that they don't want me as a customer any longer. They refunded my payment for the second year and cancel my account with 3 days warning. Next I have decided to try another online service¿Appointy. Program isn't to bad, but the service meh, - so-so. I had to deal with a salesman who was making it difficult, but then his manager (who I guess was monitoring the email exchanges), at 2 different occasions, he got involved and make things happen. I wasn't emotionally attached to them and started to look for alternatives. Found few options, tested 4, and decided to go with Acuity Scheduler.

Acuity Scheduling gives me almost all that I need, but what I REALLY like, is the Most Responsive Service that I have ever had.

Pros: That I can do almost everything for free. It's also easy to use. And the staff are really nice and helpful. And they have decent promos on now and then it seems (like for writing a honest review).

Cons: No weekend support.

Also, to get multiple calendars, I need to pay :( That won't be a con for most people but in my situation it was.

Overall: I was hired on to provide free technology tutoring/help to the public through my public libraries. I needed something where I could schedule myself and others between multiple locations easily and in a way that I could see who I've got when. Traditionally they used paper signup sheets and or calendars and maybe a personal digital calendar or something but nothing fancy and totally manual. As a techy, I hated this idea and decided to look for a website that could help me automate the signup process. I originally tried Google Forms to gather bulk answers like "what's your name" and "what do you want tech help with" and "when do you want to book your time" and it was ok, but Google doesn't have scheduling built in and I needed to use third party add-ons which then had full access to my google drive and even then it didn't work very well at all, it was a pain for me, the customer, and the library staff who needed to be able to confirm appointments. So I went searching for websites that would do a better job and I found quite a few, picked some that looked good (many were obviously not going to work for what I wanted/needed) and signed up for 4 or 5 sites. I thought I found one that was great, I was using it for a short while but then kept running into issues and the support wasn't great. I decided to start testing out my second pick, AS, and at first it seemed a little to easy, but then I found some of the extra options and realized how they have the site setup and from there it's been good. I'm quite picky and demanding at times, even when I know there's something a system can't or won't do, I'll still ask the support team if we can do it and ask for work-arounds etc. to do something similar, partly so they know it's something people want. The support here is great (unless you work weekends, that's the only reason I removed a star) even though they're e-mail only (again, as a techy I don't mind) they do respond quite quickly. It's a small team but over 50% of staff is customer service based on their website. I've been told that the top 2 paid accounts get live chat support as well, but again only on the weekend. I have no need to accept payment but again I did need multiple "calendars " for each location, however, there is another way around that if you don't mind a couple of things being shared, which in my case is not an issue at all, so I was able to do everything for free. I can see it being VERY useful at a business level with a paid account. Thanks.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you run into issues, e-mail their support team, honestly.

Pros: My favorite feature about Acuity is the overall ease of use. It is not complicated to manage for someone who isn't too tech savvy. It has easy to understand instructions, modern and clean user-interface and even a little wit and personality thrown into the design, which makes this software completely unique. I know that anyone looking to manage their client appointments will be more than satisfied with the benefits and features that Acuity offers as I have referred several people including real estate agents, personal stylists, web designers, interior designers, pet sitters and business coaches. The platform is so flexible and so customizable that there really isn't anyone who can't use it for their business needs.

There are even intake forms that can be individually assigned to an appointment type, which helps streamline my process of taking on new clients. I love the fact that I can create "Add-on" for specific appointment types if I want to offer an additional service, and the fact that I can hold a customer's credit card with or without charging. Like I said, there are numerous options!

The last and most important benefit is that Acuity enables an easy embedding for your website so you can maintain a professional look while keeping your customers on your website.

Cons: The only thing I can think of that I would like is to have intake forms that provide IFTTT, meaning that I could create questions that only show up if a user selects a specific response. The intake forms are great for the information that they do provide, but they could use a little upgrade in my opinion.

Overall: I use Acuity for all of my scheduling needs with clients. From what I have researched, Acuity is the best all-inclusive appointment management program and has extensive features and integrations included that other appointment software does not have. You can have a very basic, bare bones setup or you can really dig into the backend and customize it endlessly. I love that I can create custom confirmation emails, separate products, group classes, take payments through Stripe or PayPal and that my clients get a reminder email before their session. The benefits are amazing!

Recommendations to other buyers: Hands down it's the best out there. I have tried several other scheduling systems out there and NONE compare to Acuity. Besides that, the price is ridiculously affordable.

Comments: Overall, it's perfect for us. It's everything we need in our scheduling software and it helps tremendously to have an embedded feature to embed on our site without having to redirect customers. If you need to modify the scheduling page in any way, you must do it through CSS (no HTML available). So, if you aren't a computer scientist, you may have trouble customizing some of the page (colors and wording is customizable with a click of a button). A couple of issues I have is 1) no re-direct feature. For example, if I wanted my customers to open the scheduling page in a new window instead of on my website, they see example.acuityscheduling.com but they should see is example.mydomain.com. I think it's called domain mapping? It would be a great feature to have our page with a custom url (not one with Acuity Scheduling in it). Another issue.. 2) payment methods are EXTREMELY limited (just PayPal, Stripe and Authorize.net). There NEEDS to be more payment processors.. seriously.. Also, 3) If you have Stripe connected, you may have PayPal connected also. If you have PayPal connected, you may have Stripe connected also. But, if you have Authorize.net connected, you may not offer PayPal.. it makes no sense why this is and will be very frustrating for Authorize.net merchants using Acuity Scheduling. Another problem? No customization of the checkout. If you need to change the wording of the payment page, you can't. Why? I don't know but I am upset about this. BIGGEST PROBLEM AMONG THEM ALL -- there is no way for your client to schedule more than one service at a time. Yep.. you read that right. They can schedule the same service as a repeat but there is no way for them to book multiple service in one appointment (on same nor different days/times). It's bad.. so, my clients have to book multiple appointments for multiple services and times and it's just a huge mess. A real inconvenience. Is Acuity Scheduling worth the price? I suppose (there is a free version available but you are very very very very very limited). There is some work to be done, some upgrades and features that need to be placed before this is considered "Great" or "Awesome". There is a lot of things that this company can do to make this better and I am not convinced yet that they are even considering upgrading. Step up to the plate and upgrade your software and you have a homerun. Seriously.. maybe a grand slam. So far though, it's a single (or a walk) =(

by Acuity Scheduling on September 03, 2015

Hi Daniel -- thanks for writing this review, and glad to hear that Acuity is perfect for you!

Just a couple things to clarify...
* Quite a bit can be changed with your colors, logo, and adding extra formatting all without CSS. That's just an extra bonus for especially techy people to totally revamp the look of their rescheduler.

* You can also embed the scheduler directly into your website. That way people can stay on your domain and completely book their appointment from within your site instead of going off to Acuity.
If you need a hand with that, our developers will even embed the scheduler into your website if you ask.

* Scheduling more than one service: you can offer that with add-on services. Under Appointment Types head over to Add-Ons then you can set up which services can be booked with which other ones.
For example, that can be used so if someone is booking a Haircut they can also add on Coloring and book both services at once.

Love It - Great Customization - Solid Functionality

Comments: I was so excited about getting a scheduling system for my private practice. My excitement soon turned to disgust and amazement when I trialed service after service and most were vitally flawed. They either didn't have customization options (which was VERY important to me) or they simply didn't work. Either way, they reflected poorly on my business and I was truly amazed at how difficult it was to find one that did what I wanted it to. I found it with Acuity though. I am so happy and relieved to have the confidence that it's working properly and to have the customization options to make it integrate and flow with the rest of my business

Pros: Besides the obvious, most important piece: it actually works (others did not), here are some other key pros. So much customization. I'm astounded at how much you can modify the client's scheduling page. There's the root code and table(s) to actually get the job done but, on top of that, you can customize everything around it: the wording, the look, the buttons, the colors, the options, etc. The wording was especially important to me. I prefer that the scheduling system gives off a feel that is congruent with the rest of the business. Clients have the option of creating an account/password if they want to manage all of their appointments. Everything syncs immediately with my personal google calendar. You create your blanket availability but then you can also manually block out times. You can 'pad' before and after appointments to make sure you're doing all you need to. You don't have to, but you can create different appointment types with different settings. You can also create a 'class' / 'group' and allow clients to reserve spots. The other crucial part for me was the client-emails. Some of the systems provided little to no customization. They were basically going to talk to your clients however they felt like. You can customize all of it with Acuity. You can word the emails the way you want to. Clients get confirmations when you schedule something, cancel something, etc. You can choose to get a copy of the emails that are sent to clients so that you know exactly how it looks. You can even add a custom note (in addition to the original custom email) so that it's two-fold customized to that particular client for that particular situation. In case I haven't been clear: it's the customization that is so crucial to me. :) All this in mind, it's actually cheaper than many of the other systems. And I want to emphasize one more time: not only is the customization crucial, but other systems flat out didn't work. The actual coding seems so solid here.

Cons: This isn't a con - it's just an unknown. It's a new practice and I'm the only staff. Once there are other service providers, I don't know how well Acuity will flow with that. Considering the solid coding that they seem to have, I'm guessing it will work very well (with a lot of customization! haha) but I thought it's fair to mention that I'm not aware of how well the system works with multiple staff members. One other tiny piece of con: how the actual system looks from the inside (on our end). It's not aesthetically joyous but I didn't buy Acuity as a piece of art that I can gaze into with a glass of wine. So I don't care that much. It works. And it lets me customize it so it integrates with my business and provide consistency and function for my clients. I love it and am relieved to have it.

Pros: Good interface; available on a variety of platforms. Almost does everything well.

Cons: Smiley face options for support mood! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Brain dead support vision and zero "we'll get right on it" attitude.

Overall: Web developer recommended this software as good and as one that integrates with QuickBooks Online and Authorize.net credit cards. To the best of his ability he was correct. Boy, was he sorry that he believed these integrations to be implemented. The time he has spent trying to make this work has certainly made my project a money loser for him.

So lets get started with the problems. The credit card for on-line booking sends out a transaction. Fine. There is an option for the customer to leave a tip. If they do, the fun starts. The entire charge goes out to Authorize.net; Acuity reports that the transaction was for more than the massage cost and that the overage is a tip. BUT Acuity sends Quickbooks a transaction for just the cost of the massage! So they misreport the transaction to my accounting software and, therefore, cook my books. I then have to go back to the Acuity record, create an invoice in Quickbooks and receive the the money. So the entire automation procedure is essentially worthless. I just want the entire transaction to come over to Quickbooks; I will gladly call the overage a tip in a split transaction. Their support has no intention of fixing this.

(2) The email notification to the therapist about a scheduled massage gives the therapist the email and phone of the client; I do not want to broadcast this info and want to control what information from the client goes to the therapist. Privacy issues abound. Their support has no intention of fixing this.

(3) The intake form sucks. Massage intake forms need drawing areas to highlight "avoid" and "focus". All clients expect this and are comfortable with this. Some clients can't even describe the area where they do or don't want work. Acuity support has no intention of fixing this.

(4) The menu of services cannot be customized. The look is clinical, blah, and confusing. Acuity support has no intention of fixing this.

(5) Acuity is a double booking nightmare! Hard to describe but here goes. Therapist A does single massages and also Therapist A is part of a team for couples massage. Her team can block off time in Therapist B's presence in the team. But Therapist A & B are considered different therapists as individuals. So there is no way to have Therapist A be booked for a couples massage and show on the schedule as to unavailable for an individual massage! Acuity support has no intention of fixing this.

Recommendations to other buyers: My frustration over the precision of follow through far exceeds my happiness. Don't hope this will automate your business. Don't look to Acuity to work on obvious flaws. Since you cannot know what questions to ask until you are knee-deep in problems, start your business with paper-and-pencil scheduling.

Pros: Mostly User Friendly, Syncing Feature for Multiple Calendars, Creating Multiple "Groups," & Email Reminders

Cons: Groups: when you're schedule varies, you need to add in your availability all over again; no option for a 'cut-and-paste' from an existing group's calendar and then add/subtract time as needed.

Overall: I was having a challenge I think many of you experience - the ping-pong scheduling game. It goes something like this: I need to schedule a day/time with a business partner or client so we send emails back-and-forth giving our projected availability which inevitably changes between the time I sent my email and when they reply. This ends up going on for several cycles until a mutually agreed upon date/time is found, more than likely weeks after the initial ask. What a waste of time! I was informed about Acuity Scheduling while I was presenting at the California Placement Association's southern regional workshop, and I decided to look into it. As a Solopreneur, I have to choose my investments wisely, so I was happy to engage in the 14-day free trial. It ended up being a much more robust scheduling "service" than I could've wished for. The aspects I found most helpful were: the ability to sync with my iPhone calendar (which becomes my "master" calendar by default because it's on my phone), the ability of email reminders being sent to me and the person who scheduled a meeting time with me, and the ability to create different "groups." The groups feature is helpful when you want to distinguish between a client, a colleague, or a friend. I did have to enter my availability in a couple of times while I was going through a learning curve, and I think as a general usage "limitation" (it would be great if you could "copy" an existing calendar for one new group, and then add or delete availability blocks accordingly). There are 2 different calendar types - one where hours are set, and one where they fluctuate, so it's the latter that I've been engaging with, and for that reason, creating your availability for multiple groups may be a bit more "clunky." Despite that, I've created four (4) different groups with 2 different hour structures, and it was working fabulously! I did think I could live with the free version of the software, but the loss of the calendar sync feature is the biggest reason I've now decided to make the $/month investment. When trying Acuity Scheduling out under their free trial, really get into as many of the features as applicable for your business so you can make an informed decision about a future investment. In doing so, you can be certain of your choice to invest in this very useful scheduling tool.

Recommendations to other buyers: Really engage in all of the features during the free trial to know you can make an informed decision to invest for future use above-and-beyond the basic service.

Pros: What I love most about this software is the direct deposit feature. As a cosmetologist, it is well known in our industry for clients to book an appointment but never make it to their appointment. There may be a few exceptions of clients who will contact their hair dresser to cancel or re-book but 80% do not bother. As a cosmetologist, we would wish for a better way to take control of securing our appointments and not allowing clients to fill up a slot they do not wish to show up for. With the direct deposit feature our clients are 90% more likely to show up for his/her appointment because they have already placed money down. Now that is how to build a clientele!

Cons: What I like less, and I may be wrong, the inability to post our best work on the scheduling. Maybe this is an available feature I have yet to spot (because you have so much too offer!).

Overall: Hello, I'm Kayli Howard, I appreciate this opportunity!

I love the system that has been set up through acuity scheduling. I am a millennial cosmetologist so I am looking to start a clientele base online. This website has provided an awesome, easy going system to help me get there. Especially with the features geared towards appointment confirmations and direct deposits! I am able to eliminate the stress for my clients because they can easily access my schedule, pricing and set an appointment within a few short minutes! I am in love! Acuity Scheduling has provided features I would not have thought of on my own or think I needed. Such as intake form questions, this way I am able to align with my clients needs before they sit in my chair and that is great customer service! I am able to connect with my clientele base through your system without having to complicate our daily schedules. Because I know what a hassle it can be too get a hold of your busy hair dresser. Thank you Acuity Scheduling, I will share your company with my fellow cosmetologist!

Recommendations to other buyers: I would love to see a feature where we (consumer) can have a product portfolio.

Pros: The depth of clever and little niche features for the price you pay is excellent value, and the tight integration with a wide variety of the different services we use (G Suite, GoToMeeting, Google Analytics etc) is pretty amazing.

Acuity seem to listen hard when you request features, as I've been notified on multiple occasions when features requested in the past have been rolled out at no extra charge.

The customer support team are deeply skilled with their product, and always have substantive recommendations to solve for my specific goals when I reach out.

As someone with a background in Business Analysis, I can appreciate the deep skills of the Acuity staffer(s) that write the online help article, as they are consistently and surprisingly comprehensive.

Overall: Our Sales team immediately improved their productivity and we improved the rate at which we successfully engaged with customers who visited our website. Can't ask for more than that.

I'm pretty impressed at how flexibly this scales to additional sales reps on my team, while seamlessly integrating with third party services like GoToMeeting.

Comments: GENERAL REVIEW:

started the search for a good (and I'll admit, free) scheduler app, though I eventually upgraded to a paid package for cheap. I wanted it to integrate into the website I was building (with no web design experience) and to sync to my google calendar so I could stay updated on my appointments straight from my phone.

I'm a private tutor in a college town, and I do everything on my own. Advertising, website management, billing clients, taxes etc. are all part of my job description. Acuity has been the single best tool I've come across in my business venture thus far.

I simply direct students to the page of my website where I integrated the acuity software, and they just follow the directions (name email phone etc) and I even have a few questions set up like "what class is this for, what teacher do you have" so that I know beforehand what to anticipate for our session.

Then I'll receive a notification (email) and it gets placed right in my calendar which syncs oh my iPhone. I can literally run my business from my phone.

Acuity also gave me the option to require a valid credit/debit card to book an appointment and then charge the client after the appointment, which is AWESOME because if the session is shorter or longer for some reason, I can adjust the charge accordingly. I used to let clients book the appointments without paying or putting in a card, but a few no-shows and "I forgot my money"s later and now I do it this way.

USABILITY:

The acuity site and software are both extremely easy to navigate. There are also funny little phrases found throughout both that will make you giggle. You'll see what I mean if you spend more than 30 seconds checking out their website.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

I've contacted their customer service approximately 5 times, and every time I send them an email, I get a response within a couple of hours. The responses are always personal (you can tell they read what you wrote and are hand typing out a reply to you) and very helpful. Even if you lazily ask a question that is on the front page of their FAQ (like I have before), they'll still answer you quickly and completely.

CONCLUSION:

You can tell this is a company full of young people, and their energy shows straight through in every way. This app has helped me more than anything else I've used, and I'll continue to use it into the foreseeable future.

Comments: I switched from Groupon Scheduler to MindBody then I sort of accidentally landed on Acuity Scheduler and IT HAS BEEN AMAZING! CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE!

Pros: Great customer service, funny and helpful. The price is unbeatable! I used to pay only $10, I'm so pleased with the scheduler and service that I actually upgraded even though I don't need to. I choose to pay $19 a month for 2 users. The email reminders are great, you have the option to do text reminders as well. My favorite things are the automated follow-up appointments and reports!

The follow-ups can be set-up to automatically email customers. It sends customers a follow-up email within whatever hours that you set up. So I send automated emails 24-hours after seeing a new client (you can send it to current clients too). I no longer have to remember to do this manually (it's awesome)! I spend more time doing real business instead of writing personalized emails to everyone - which a lot of times i forgot to do. The reports are great too because I can customize it to see by month, day, how much revenue comes in, cancellations, types of appointments scheduled etc.

I also love the exporting feature, it's very simple to export the client list. They also have accepting payment features, Google and other calendar 2 way sync, the ability to take get intake forms before a clients comes in, and a bunch of other features I haven't even used/explore. FOR THE PRICE YOU CAN'T BEAT IT!

Cons: no apps in the app store (at least not in Android). But it's not an issue because you can logon with your phone browser and save it to your homescreen. I wish they would let you customize what you want to store in the client list. Such as birthday, address etc. (they have 1st name, last name, phone and email) I'd like more information to store about my clients but you can take private notes about them that only admin can see).

Do the trial of the software and you'll love it and never go anywhere else. I LOVE IT! And the developers have been doing a great job creating new and improve tools/features!

I own a personal training studio located in Severna Park, Maryland. We strictly do personal training, we're not a gym. This is a legit review and I'm not paid nor have any affiliation with Acuity scheduler. http://www.repkefitness.com/

The software works well for a business with a tricky schedule to accommodate.

Pros: It is by far the most flexible scheduling software that I've found. If you're schedule is more than a simple hour by hour appointment schedule, this is the software for you. It may take a while to figure it out, but so far it has been able to handle multiple people's overlapping and very confusing schedules. I also love the custom emails for each appointment type and the ease of intake forms. Our clients have spoken about how easy it is to make an appointment and pay with the program.

Cons: There was a steep learning curve in thee beginning and it took me longer than I would have liked to get it up and running. Also, the integration with Quickbooks is not good. If someone schedules a recurring appointment, it creates invoices for every single one in quickbooks. That means a person will have an invoice of thousands of dollars before their first appointment. We chose the option where all acuity does is input their name into quickbooks, which means we still manually have to record their invoices and payments.

Overall: Clients can schedule their appointments and pay online which means we pay our satellite office less in administrative fees. Clients can schedule appointments without having to drive to a congested office off a major highway with roadwork.

Comments: As with most new technology and being all me a novice when it comes to this kind of platform I found acuity to be Extremely easy to use, and that¿s good looking, and it wasn¿t clunky.

Pros: Fast, easy set up and website integration. Streamlined processes, easy payment options, various appointment types depending on your business and I have a multi platform business which runs anywhere from physical therapy, to online classes and actual events hosted at various locations. Easy to set up and schedule. Helpdesk and tutorials are fabulous. I would also say that using this platform expanded my out reach. Having a professional, organized, calendaring system clearly impressed new clientele as my head count went up at most events when using this program. Did I say it was easy to use? Very! I am not a web designer. Although there are a lot of platforms that make it easy for us all to design webspaces and destinations now there are still some spaces where in a grading a Calendar system and appointment scheduling platform can be tricky. The directions work easy, and seamlessly. I was able to integrate Acuity Into my website in literally, minutes. And... As I was using Google calendar as my booking system I was pleasantly relieved to see that I could integrate that calendar into the scheduling system so as not to double book myself. I really love this platform. I honestly can¿t believe I waited so long to jump on an opportunity like this.

Cons: Are there cons? If you are unfamiliar with some of the functionality there are plenty of tutorials and assistance to get you started, including live chat. So you do not need to be a pro. I have no major issues. I had a few small bumps in the road but that was mainly because I didn¿t know what I was doing. But as I said helpdesk was instantaneous in response, and There is a library of great information to assist me with my confusion.

Pros: Acuity scheduling is an amazing software to organize and also monetize your appointments. Sessions, seminars, courses - whatever you want. They are a really kind team of people, offering a very soft, professional and inspiring approach. You got many options to choose from, you are able to customize everything, there are also many options for accepting payments, which is totally fantastic. And the most important element of the service is in my opinion - simplicity, and easy to use platform. It is 1,2,3 and you are done. Almost literally. You can connect your Acuity scheduling account with outside services such as Mailchimp (for emails) and Zoom (for webinar organization) etc etc. Also the free trial is being available. I love the whole concept they are offering and the automatization of so many functions. You set it up and you are good to go. Good to earn. Good to enjoy a truly quality service. I absolutely recommend it. Thanks! Julian

Cons: I'd like to offer PayPal together with authorize.net for my customers, for instance, but that only works with Stripe which doesn't work in Slovenia. However, that is a minor challenge. Oo, one more thing that could be improved. Offering the option to pay for their service with PayPal. That's what I missed. Only credit / debit card is available.

Pros: Acuity is flexible in setting up different appointment types, attaching calendars, and even limiting the times that are available. It is one of the most affordable scheduling tools particular for the extent of it's functionality.

I have set up Acuity for myself and several clients. We have been able to set up multiple different scenarios for appointment types, attaching specific calendars, and specifying exactly what times are available on each. The integration with Google Calendar works very well.

Acuity is my go to for scheduling tools.

Cons: I do run around in circles in the software sometimes trying to find where certain setups (like scheduling limits) are. Otherwise, it is fairly easy to set up.

Overall: It has simplified my life and my clients' lives when it comes to scheduling appointments. And... it doesn't break the bank when it comes to cost.

I have just started to work with them and I'm already happy even with a very free version!

Pros: Well they don't force you to buy here is the first thing, plus they work out with you with any support, they don't ignore you and the way they talk to them with an email and on their website, it's just so cool, you can feel that friendly cool interface really I mean it! If you think they won't help for some basic problems, you gotta see the questions I asked them, they literally read my email line by line and responded again as expected professionality. They already got many solutions ready but even you can go custom ways. I built my 4 company website with them and hopefully, in close future, I will upgrade to the highest package that I can mess with CSS and white label, thanks, guys. There is a lot to still say believe me.

Cons: I can't come up and say oh I wish they gave me this CSS for free that feature for free blah blah. Well if they keep my business in the game and help me to make my money, hey I gotta taking care them too! I can't say really cons, of course, there is an unlimited way to upgrade system every day you know, but I believe they do work on it with a fair amount of labor you know. They already have such fair system as I told you unlimited possibilities to upgrade or to do in the software world. It's easy to say hard to do! Gotta respect those dudes!

Pros: The software is cheap. It looks ok when used with Squarespace web sites who they've been branded be preferred interface, lucky for them. For a Group class/studio situation it's not intuitive.

Cons: A wait list function is not integrated in anyway, and signing up is not intuitive. it's a little on the clunky side and not great for the customer users or the back end, unless Im missing something. The reporting is dire. I can't run reports to see who signed up when, or when their passes are running out. I was told I should look at the passes page and look at them individually by the customer support team. I'm not paying a monthly fee and the support is over the email, which is less than ideal, and often takes two or three times to resolve the issue at hand. I'm actively looking elsewhere and considering paying exorbitant rates to just get things resolved and make signing in or signing up for my clients/students easier. Any Yoga/Fitness type facility I Would shy away from this, but if you are just using for single appointments and scheduling for consultations etc. I would consider it. It's a shame I had high hopes.

Pros: The flexibility of this online software and the fact it syncs (through customisation) with my workflow makes my life so much easier.

The fact that it can see when I'm busy and schedule appointments around my existing jobs without me getting involved is like having a virtual assistant except you know everything is perfect, every time.

As I've got to use it more and more I've created new services which I can sell through the automated scheduling system whereas I wouldn't have been able to do that before because I am either busy on a job and not answering the phone or I wasn't near a computer and couldn't quickly take the details and payment. It also helps that most people actually don't like talking to people on the phone and if they can book everything themselves online in this modern world, then that wins me more business.

Overall: Automated my appointments and created new revenue streams whilst freeing up my time!

The installation on the web page was easy and pleasant, BUT there is no week view in the app.

Pros: This is really easy to install as a booking system on your own Homepage. Also the person I was communicating with was really nice. I like the color of the application ..............

I think for a private use really great! But only for private use I guess... I can't imagine professional haha =)

Cons: I think if you are using this professional it will be very bad because of the missing week view . You have it online (desktop version) but the page will reload each time you change the week. No swipe from left to right... what a pity!

If you are working on an iPad then you will have to hold your finger quite long on the right place to make the appointment. It is a little bit too long. That is why it would be better in the app. And if you want to check or make an appointment when you are on the way anywhere it will be VERY HARD! because there is no week view. Just daily or agenda. the both view are really similar so I dont understand the sense of that...

I am an hairstylist and when the customer ask an appointment this is really hard to see because you have to check each day from left to right and from top to down on your iPhone.

I emailed with acuity and this is not planned to add a week view. This is a big pity because the rest is ok .

So if you need a professional booking system and you are working with weekly view like me (hairstylist but also the most of the jobs i know) then i would NOT use acuity. (also they are really friendly! =))

I'm really enjoying the ease and intuitiveness of Acuity Scheduling in helping me run my business.

Pros: Acuity Scheduling makes it easier for both parties to easily be on top of upcoming appointments through sending reminders, and calendar syncing (for when I log appointments through different devices). I also enjoy the customization features such as choosing your availability, blocking off times, adding private notes about the client helps me keep informed about my upcoming appointments. I also like that it is easily accessible and synced with my Instagram account so my clients are able to book directly through my profile and choose a time that's convenient for them. It cuts down on the time and prevents any possibility miscommunication from either side.

Cons: The app and overall user experience could be a little more streamlined. Given most of Acuity's users are appointment based businesses, they need a software that is super easy to use, pleasing to the eye and doesn't require much of a learning curve to understand how to use. Little details like having to input hours by typing out in a certain format (eg. 9:00am-9:00pm) instead of a drop down field adds to the time that we can better use towards our business. It can use just a bit more finessing and updating according to the many smooth running, well designed websites that are available to us nowadays. It'd also be great to have an option to communicate with the client through app, via sending personalized texts/emails, being able to share your location for ETA's.

Pros: I like the fact that you are able to set up billing right from Acuity. People can set an appointment with you and pay you right after. If you're in a business where you're billing by the hour or take a deposit, this is a lifesaver.

Cons: It is a little clunky with the customization. I think there should be some more videos or guides showing you the different things that you can do with Acuity. Now that I've been using it, I know that it's much more than a basic scheduling tool, but when I was first using it I was overwhelmed and didn't know those features existed.

Overall: I was able to schedule appointments and have people pay me directly from the scheduler. I was also able to embed their calendar directly on my website, so I could send paid traffic and email traffic to the page and it would convert better because they're familiar with my site.

Pros: I really like the ease of use, the transparency, the customer service and the price. It has enabled me to build my business over the last year and help me save a lot of time on administration. I particularly like it for my courses- booking clients in to courses over a 10 week (or more) period. Also recurring appointments are no problem. And it has also been a God-send since I have additional trainers and managing their schedule too.

Cons: I so WISH they had a wait list for classes and appointments! I have lots of small, intimate classes (max 5 people) and clients just don't constantly check back to see if there is a space free. I am losing money because of this and am hence reluctantly looking for an alternative. The mobile app is also not (yet) very sophisticated. And I don't use the online payment as I am in Germany and find the charges high -ideally would like a debit card option.

Pros: The user interface for folks making reservations is clear, and the calendar display is really helpful (including details like how many slots are still available). I also appreciate the customization features and how adaptable the platform is for multiple types of engagements.

Cons: I have found setting up an account and appointment types to be somewhat cumbersome, and at present, I don't believe you can have more than one team member assigned as the primary contact for notifications/registration/etc, so the information and access can get siloed. Then there are little things, like a character limit for event descriptions, that feel too restrictive.

I also believe other platforms like Eventbrite (which offers free access for free events) allows for greater integration across apps and calendars.

Overall: Overall, it's been ok. I think my experience has been pretty neutral. The site itself has been useful for the organization, but it's not been the most user-friendly.

Pros: Very customizable, everything that our company needed in an online scheduler, Acuity Scheduler had and then some!

Cons: No phone support

Overall: Acuity Scheduling walked me through the basic set up process, that made it very easy to get going. I do wish there was a way to call customer service and be able to speak with someone to get help when questions arise; that being said I had sent an e-mailed question to them and received a prompt, thorough, informative and kind response. The amount of options available to customize the scheduler is ultimately what led us to choose Acuity over other online schedulers. Acuity can be imbedded directly onto our website making it very convenient and it is compatible with many online payment solutions. The flexibility in creating on-line forms is great; being able to choose from yes/no buttons to drop down menus, even an address option that shows a map and the form can be assigned to the exact appointment type(s) desired. As for the calendars, each day of the week can be tailored and calendars can be linked so that when an appointment is scheduled it can be reflected in multiple places if desired. The appointment types can be modified to have a buffer of time automatically inserted into the schedule to compensate for transition time between appointments. The cost to use their service is very reasonable and they offer discounts; for example, I'm writing this review and getting 4 months free! There are many more positive features that I could go on about. The only thing I would ask for is phone support, I understand why they don't have it and that probably reflects the low cost to use their service, and again they were incredibly responsive when I sent an e-mail. Overall I am very impressed with this scheduler and the company. I would definitely recommend Acuity Scheduling!

I've really enjoyed Acuity in its ease of use and functionality.

Pros: It's very easy to use. I'm not computer savvy, but Acuity has been very easy for me to figure out. I have yet to dive deeper and create some intake forms, but I don't foresee it being an issue. I like the emails that I get and that my patients get for appointment reminders. It fit perfectly into my square space account as well. All of my patients have commented that they love how easy it is to schedule now. My business hours vary as well, so it's super easy for me to just put the hours I'm available on the calendar and be done.

Cons: As a healthcare provider, I do wish there was a HIPPA compliant version that wasn't too costly however, the price does compare to other scheduling software programs. It took me a little bit to figure out how to create all of my different appointment types. As a chiropractor who works with children and adults, I need several different appointment types for new patients and different types of intake forms, but this would create an issue with any scheduling software.

Overall: The biggest benefit is that I don't have to spend a lot of time on the phone with patients trying to schedule them, or use their appointment time trying to fit them into the schedule. They just go to my website, and schedule their appointment. All of my patients love that aspect. One big comment is that a lot of times, my patients are looking over their schedule not during my business hours. Being able to schedule from their home at night or early morning is easier for them and more convenient.

Comments: I use Acuity every day for my auto detailing business to schedule appointments for clients. Acuity made it easy to embed the form into my website, and they also give me custom links for every single appointment type and category. I've used 3 other scheduling programs, and none of them come close to the flexibility that Acuity gives me.

Pros: The customer service is the best I've experienced from any online company, ever. They've helped me find ways to do obscure things that I'm sure very few other users will ever need. And when I had a hard time getting Google Analytics to work with Acuity exactly how I wanted, they walked me through how to set it up rather than just referring me to the Google Analytics support team. They even gave me a tip on how to make my webpage (not their embedded page) load a little bit more reliably.

Cons: No dedicated mobile app, but their website is mobile friendly.

Recommendations to other buyers: I cannot recommend Acuity highly enough. The only other software that comes close is Square Appointments, which is about twice as expensive (and still doesn't have the features that Acuity has). They've got a free trial if you're on the fence, plus a free plan if you don't need very many features.

Pros: Having looked at several online scheduling solutions, I found Acuity to be the one that best served our needs (we run a dog grooming business). Firstly, it appeared to be rock solid - important when you're wanting to trust your business scheduling to the service, and surprisingly not something that can be said of all that I tried. Secondly, the base package was very functional and allowed me to do most of what I wanted to do, including holding files and images against customer records. Finally, the integration through Zapier allowed me to enhance the standard SMS alerting and elevated it to another level. I now have the prospect of being able to alert my clients at each step of their experience, from booking a groom, through reminding them to prevent no-shows, and ultimately to prompting them to provide feedback. Altogether, a good experience, helped by knowledgeable and responsive support if and when you need help.

Cons: Not much. The base records held against the client should probably be a little more substantial - for example you can't hold a physical mailing address against the client by default, which would be useful not so much for mailing these days, but for analysing area uptake patterns and even for pick-up services.

Overall: Helped to streamline our business processes

Pros: Acuity Scheduling solved a lot of problems for me. I have multiple businesses with multiple audiences and offer different types of appointments to the different groups. Acuity gave me the ability to not only set appointments with different parameters (i.e. length of time for the appointment), it also gave me the ability to set different availability parameters. Now I can time-block my days by business type. This helps keep my days more focused and cuts back on content switching.

Cons: The only drawback is the user interface. I find it a bit clunky in the initial set up of schedules. Once that's done, however, it works flawlessly.

Comments: I researched a lot of schedulers before picking Acuity. I appreciate their customizability. CC capture or pre-payment, or none- all can be chosen per-booking, for unique settings. Client login is optional, not required. I was amazed how easy the setup was. Having tried a few other services, and never having made it as far.. this was a nice thing! The calendar is implemented right on my website. Support is very responsive via email. The price is great, too! I didn't realize it at first, but the Google Sync Acuity offers is unique. Many offer one-way sync, or with only one Google calendar..which is a deal-breaker for me. I don't want to have to check multiple calendars to know I can book a client or not! This sync was also easy to set up, and works seamlessly. I did email them with some concerns. It appears they may have resolved the calendar display issue. I need to find a work-around for editing recurring blocks of time. So, while not ideal, Acuity works pretty well. I hope in the future they may come out with more GUI interface on editing blocks of time through click-drag, and the ability to edit single instances of recurring timeslots. A few providers mentioned encouraging back-to-back booking, which would be awesome integration, but the one I tried...never responded to my emails. It's a nice claim, and I'd love to see it, but that might be complicated integration. . Acuity is great bang for the buck with lots of customizability.

Pros: -Two-way Google Calendar sync with multiple calendars -Fully customizable, full options for reservations/pre-payment -Easy to set up -Clients have option to register or not -Timely tech support

Cons: -Can't click-drag to edit time duration -Editing time recurring blocks is problematic -All availabilities show unless time-blocked (no dynamic/"smart" scheduling to encourage back-to-back appointments).

The interface is pretty intuitive, and the customer service is very prompt, considering it is email!

Pros: I moved away from another software because the interface was a little unwieldy, and because I could not integrate with the payment and communication solutions I was already using. The cost was also getting out of hand. The highest cost option with Acuity includes all the security, payment options, communication options and booking possibilities I want. It works for the small staff business that I run for literally half the price I have been paying.

Cons: Live connection: I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world, and sometimes the online tutorials are written in a language that assumes a level of tech knowledge I don't have, so I come away from an attempt at solving a problem feeling more confused and frustrated than I started. It would be nice to have live help in such cases.

As in all softwares, Acuity seems to be built with time-based services in mind. I do time based services but I also create long-term programs for clients, in which there are some time based elements (like appointments), and some elements that do not have set time limits associated to them (like reviewing their written reflections, or helping them through a problem over the phone). Creating a program cost without associating time to it is rather tricky in Acuity, as it is in other platforms.

Pros: Acuity has an ease of operation that just makes it such a seamless experience for both me and the client. There are so many times before Acuity of going back and forth with client on a good time for them. Acuity takes the guesswork out of it and allows you to keep to a consistent schedule, which helps to breed trust and consistency for your clients. They always know they can count on you to show up to your meetings on time.

Cons: Since my wife and I have two businesses, the only drawback for us was that Acuity doesn't sync up with our MindBody account to help facilitate our rather unique scheduling for our medical practice. I would love to develop a way for our patients to schedule EVERYTHING online, to help free up our front desk staff and to help the patient or any potential patient to know exactly when they can schedule a "Complimentary 15min Consult" or to schedule something easy like a Vitamin shot that doesn't take the doctors time.

Overall: From the guided set up process that makes it SOOOOO easy, to the great follow up customer service, Acuity has all the right pieces in place to help you with your scheduling of clients.

Pros: I have used the free and paid version of Acuity for quite some time now. Its easy to use. I like being able to have clients complete forms and email them directly from within Acuity. The pricing is great and the paid functions do a lot and allow you to customize more things. The free plan is amazing by itself. I think this was worth the investment.

Cons: The free plan doesnt allow you to accept payments. It would be great if they allowed limited appointment types to accept payments. Thats the main reason I upgraded. I am seeing more schedulers offer texting, that would be a great feature to send out reminders to clients.

Pros: I used it at my previous job and it made scheduling apt and consultations with my potential and existing clients very easy. As the Manager of the department it also provide great visibility into the availability of my Agents. Signed up again for the free version at my new job and love how easy it is to setup and use and makes scheduling appointments very easy for my clients.

Cons: I have to pay for a subscription to sync Acuity with Google Calendar so I have to take one extra step to block off my Acuity calendar.

Overall: Time savings and increased professionalism - Gone are the days of numerous back and forth emails with clients trying to schedule an apt.

Pros: ¿ Automatic calendar sync with multiple calendars

¿ Multiple subscription tiers make it easy to select the features you need for the size of your business

¿ Abundant integrations with other software

¿ Easy setup

Cons: Of the scheduling software I've checked out, this is the best and smoothest so far. I really don't have any complaints.

Overall: I've been trying out different scheduling software, and Acuity has made an excellent impression. It's really like having your own scheduling assistant. Once you know you need to get together with someone, you can send them a link with your available. What could much a multiple-exchange communication is greatly simplified, saving time and potential frustration.

While I don't currently use the payment features, it does have them. If people pay for your time, that can easily be configured. Even packages and gift certificates are available if you offer such.

The highest tier subscription is HIPAA compliant, so it could be used in a medical setting. Acuity maintains a record of clients/contacts who have scheduled time with you, and there is a robust reporting feature allowing you to review past activity and revenue.

The page that clients see for scheduling can also be embedded. The necessary code is prepared for you and ready to add to your site. For real ninja's who want Google Analytics or conversion tracking, that's available as well. I don't know much about that, but it is there.

Setting availability is very easy. Direct entry of available hours couldn't be simpler. It understands shorthand such as 9a-12p, 1:30p-5p for a given day. Although if you set up calendar sync and regular weekly hours, you probably won't have to do much of that.

Multiple integrations with other software are available. Accounting software like Xero, QuickBook and Freshbooks are available as well as several other email and business solutions. Just to name a few: Aweber, Constant Contact, MailChimp, Citrix GoToMeeting, SalesForce, Mad Mimi, and JoinMe.

The automatic sync feature makes it much easier to avoid double-booking. Existing appointments on your calendar(s) are automatically made unavailable for booking. I also love that Acuity syncs with iCloud calendar as well as with Google. I use both, so that's a huge plus.

Recommendations to other buyers: If coordinating schedules or taking appointments adds ANY stress to your life, definitely consider investing in some kind of scheduling assistance software. Acuity is the best option I've seen to date!

Comments: I came across this on a website as a customer who used it to arrange their packages online. As a business that has several packages at different price points, I wanted something that I could use with Square. So far Acuity is the best find. I tried installing 'free' plug-ins on WordPress, and I looked for things at a cheaper price point (and found some at a higher price point). I think as a small business, it's incredibly affordable and as a designer, it's extremely easy to embed and work with. (some of the higher priced comparisons were hard to figure out and embed into the site and the free ones just couldn't create packages and organize them the way I wanted). What's nice about it is it takes care of the separate packages and allows me to transact them through Square without forcing me into another payment processor.

Pros: Easy to use, easy to figure out for a first-timer, easy to embed as a designer, (skip the plug-in for WordPress and use the iframe embed that the site gives you), and the price point is lower than most and offers an easier system to use

Cons: There is a lot of 'repeat' and triple checking things on the site. For example, figuring out HOW to create and organize your package requires you to visit several pages and create several 'pieces' to create the 'whole'. Once it's done, it looks great. However, it's a little tedious trying to get it right.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try before you buy. I installed this on my website prior to launching it to get a feel for how it looked, how it loaded, how it responded, etc. I hated the 'ads' but it was worth suffering the aesthetics to play around with it. As a business person, I appreciate trying before you buy and HATE demos. Hands-on is what sells me.

Pros: This system hits all the points you need in a scheduler.

It integrates with your personal calendar. It allows clients to self-schedule. You can publish links to customizable self-scheduling landing pages. It integrates with all important systems and it allows you to track things like google analytics events and facebook conversions from your landing pages.

All this and it's very reasonably priced, even for larger teams.

Cons: We had a few issues with timezone conversions between team members - when the team members are in different time zones, but nothing show stopping for us.

Best Online Booking System with Low Price I've Found So Far

Comments: For my business, the online booking system is crucial, thus, I've tried quite some online booking systems for my website. And the experience I have so far with Acuity Scheduling is the best. Below are the things I found is good or better than the others:

1. Of course, the price - $19 per month, I can have up to 6 users / locations, while others will cost me around $30 - 50 / months (I am currently not yet subscribe the package, and only being the trial period, so don't know if there is any hidden costs)

2. Friendly setup - the administration / operation / setup of the calendars are straight forward. Basically, if you can ready English, you can setup your calendar.

3. Functions - Strong functions of online booking. It provides email notifications, FREE global SMS notifications (I like it very much) and reminders. In addition, it also gives my customers freedom to reschedule or cancel the appointments by their own, which save me quite some time. The appointments will also be 2-way sync with Google and possibly sync with iCal or Outlook (I haven't tried this). And many more!

4. Analysis Report - So far, I see the report I generated is clear, but due to the amount of appointments in my calendar, as I am still in trial, no comments on this side.

5. Embed into my Website - Good. It can be easily embed into my HTML5 website. And what I like it most is that it allows you to either show all calendars (if you have more than one) in one screen, or show each calendar in individually in different web-page. In this way, my customers will not be confused on different calendars (services) I offer.

6. Support - Not much experience, as I don't ask a lot of questions, the explanations on Acuity Scheduling website are pretty clear (and in a funny casual way) ;-)

Conclusion is I like the app that Acuity Scheduling provides, think I am gonna go for it once my business is up and running.

Pros: What I like about it: 1. They do have video tutorials and articles to help you get started; 2. Can have different availability by appointment type (but apparently this is only on the paid versions, so I'll need to upgrade); 3. Can have intake forms and ask qualifying questions before person can make an appointment; 4. Clients can self-schedule while I'm asleep using an embedded link so no more phone tag; 5. Can make myself look "busy" on my calendar by showing only 50% of available appointments.

Cons: What I don't like: 1. The free version doesn't offer email reminders; 2. The free version says you can 'offer unlimited services and appointments"-Apparently unlimited services does NOT mean I can offer 2 different services and have 2 different availability calendars to accommodate them-that again is only with the paid version; 3. Some of the 'snarky' statements to help you with setup don't work for me- I think you're trying to sound more approachable and user-friendly, but this type of language works best with a different age group than me. Better to simply state that the set up will take time, so allot a lot of time or get someone else to set it up for you.

Overall: I came across Acuity because my business coach suggested it. Of course she has the Powerhouse version but told me, for my current needs, the Freebie would work. I signed up.

Acuity is not plug and play; there is a learning curve and after about, I kid you not, a couple of hours, I was ready to throw in the towel. I took a break and started off from the beginning again re-watching the video tutorials and reading articles. Setting up availability/calendar was the most tedious and confusing part since I don't have a regular 8-5 schedule and I offer different services at different times.

Pros: This is the simplest, most cost effective software on the market. As a studio manager and ex-employee of a major studio software brand, I have had my fair share of software experiences. Acuity offers a very reasonably priced software, with website integration, an app, easy to use functions and cool front-end.

Cons: No 24/7 support. I would pay more if you had a chat or a phone line! I like to speak on the phone with people and there is nothing like this.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add the ability for packages to pay for different values of class. At the moment I have to manually monitor and adjust peoples passes. It just doesn't function as a pass for classes that are different prices. I've spoken to your team and they said they'll put it forward, but no promises. PLEASE JUST INCLUDE IT. As much as unlimited use of passes is great for the client, it's absolutely crippling for a yoga business.

One more thing, Add a "select all" feature to deleting classes. If you make a mistake you are painstakingly selecting the little tick boxes of 52 classes... no one has time for this.

Overall: Ease of use, easy integration and loading times are minimal. Great back-end. I would like to see a next level of software with more features because this is the future for studio owners if you add a few more things.

Pros: Acuity's offers a very reasonably priced product with similiar functionality and integrations to their competition. You can sync your Gmail, Outlook calendars and even integrate Salesforce to create events like tasks when someone schedules an appointment. You can also customize your scheduling page with your logo and colors as well as embed on your website.

Cons: Sometimes the design seem a little unresponsive. We've embedded the calendar scheduler on our website and depending on screensize can overlap other sections of the site.

Overall: Easy demonstration scheduling for our clients through an embedded calendar on our homepage and through sharing the custom calendar web page. Connect your calendars to prevent appointment overlaps and create Salesforce tasks to measure signups.

Pros: I like the ease of adding appointments and blocking off times in my schedules. I also like that there is a free version which still meets the needs for my business.

Cons: I would love to be able to create a daily limit for certain services.

Overall: When I was starting my new massage practice in the town where I moved, I looked at various different online booking. There seemed to be a lot of good ones, but many of them were above my budget. I tried free trails of Square Booking and Acuity. I found Acuity to be very easy to navigate and set up. Square was also good, but was a lot more expensive (twice as much for similar services). I also found the Square appointments a little harder to navigate as far as making adjustments to my schedule. During the free trial of Acuity, I loved that the appointments would sync with my calendar on my phone and that they would send confirmations to my clients. I decided to go with the free version until my business was more established. I have been very happy with the service. I still get notified if someone books and it is easy to include the link to my booking page on my website. (The upgrade versions allows you embed the booking page on your website which is also very nice.) I also liked that I could upgrade to add a person with very little cost if I ever expanded my practice to include another therapist. If you are looking for a simple affordable straightforward online booking platform, I would definitely recommend checking out Acuity.

Recommendations to other buyers: I found it to be very user friendly.

Pros: Nice looking facade. Has the potential to be a very useful piece of software. They try to be young and hip, and keep uptodate with the trends. Integrates with a variety of other popular software.

Cons: A lot of the functions are hard to work out how to use to their optimum. Lack of telephone customer service to assist. Lack of video instructions. Only email customer service. Expensive for what it is; and they have just increased their pricing. It would be okay, perhaps, if one could understand how to use all of the functions.

Pros: Prompt email support, albeit during weekday business hours

Cons: UI, possibility to bypass booking with credit card setting, No staff description or images for the end user viewing during booking.

Overall: We subscribed to the Power Player plan, hoping to resolve the issue we were having with Square Appointments. The issue specifically is preventing our clients to having to enter credit card every time to reserve an appointment (this is to prevent no-shows). Acuity offers this "nifty" feature, albeit with a flaw that enables customer to "disconnect" his credit card on his account while retaining his booking. I tested this feature with Square credit card processing. Customer receives automatic an email from Square that his credit card is now on file with Square, in that email there's a link to remove this credit card, therefore making this customer not accountable if he chooses not to show up for his appointment. This allows for no-show and no way to charge this customer a no-show fee, so Acuity's implementation of no-show protection is flawed and actually pointless.

USER INTERFACE:

Their user interface is un-intuitive and lacking basic common sense. For example; they call each staff in the account setting "Calendars". Seriously?

The reminders section allows removal of "Cancel/Reschedule" buttons but with no way to restore them unless contacting customer service via email, which could take hours if not days over the weekends. Our Power Player account offered live online chat, though it never worked despite trying to contact them during their business hours, their email customer support were clueless as to why it didn't work.

The "Register for Account" button is not visible. It is located at the screen when the first booking is complete by the customer.

The backend interface looks like it was designed in the 90's, with major disregard for usability experience and user-friendliness.

The service has lots of bells and whistles that are overshadowed by the shortcomings I described above.

Pros: I really appreciate the many things you can do with this software. It really helps you to properly manage your schedule in a way far more easier than any other software. Being able to share your schedule with other people is a good point too. Moreover, you can link appointments with contacts and mails, etc. so if you are checking the schedule and want to contact with the person with whom you may have a meeting you have their contact information already there. It makes everything also more easier for the clients and other people who uses the schedule.

Cons: The price could be lower. Also, the mobile phone app is not very good, it is difficult to use and it's so much easier to use the computer.

Overall: It provides a great service. Everyone here is delighted with it, the clients also say it is easier to schedule the meetings now than before using it. Great job.

Pros: Acuity works dynamically with your existing personal and/or business calendaring tool (i.e. Google Calendar) to show availability and helps you and your staff focus on selling and service. Acuity does not charge per user. Additionally, you are able to send both email and text reminders to your staff and clients.

Cons: Although this is probably the BEST scheduling tool out there, it does require a lot of customization based on your specific business needs. For example, I am a tutor and I had to add additional fields to account for the information that I needed. Additionally, I found myself entering data in both acuity and BaseCRM. So it is not a one-stop-shop solution.

Pros: It is my digital personal assistant: calendar, application form, and cashier all at once. Set it and forget it!

Cons: Sometimes I have to click around a bit to get to what I really need. The labels are not completely intuitive for me. For example, "Business Settings" could mean several different things. It still takes me a minute to get to the setting I am looking for.

Overall: It mans I get fewer no-shows for preliminary appointments, because I can screen potential clients first, AND ensure they pay upfront without my spending ANY time besides the initial set up. I love that I can make a unique URL for each different kind of appointment. I can link the calendar to all of my personal calendars. It does everything I want it to and some things I hadn't even thought of.

Pros: The scheduling, the flexibility, the different ways to use it for each of our coaches and or clients needs... EASY customization, integration with our website! ETC ETC ETC

Cons: There are a few tiny limitations with room bookings but they have recently made changes to accommodate this.

Overall: We have tried many scheduling softwares for our Coaching Company and had limited success most of which were a complete waste of time. Acuity has not only the best and most flexible scheduling system but also easy to understand with integrations with our preferred POS vendors. They are fun, friendly and VERY responsive!

Pros: As a single owner-operator I am always looking for ways to streamline my business and allow me to get more work done. Acuity not only allows my new and existing customers to schedule meetings with myself but also sends out reminders so they don't forget. The amount of new business meetings has increased as well as the number of people showing up on time and in the right place! Another example of software saving me time and effort. What more could I ask for.

Cons: The only negative I have with Acuity is their map feature does not accurate show where my business is located. It shows my business as being down the street from its actual location. Its the 1 feature on the form and follow up that I am not fully satisfied with. I have been in contact with Acuity about this issue and it should just be a matter of time before it is fixed.

Overall: I looked at a number of different schedulers before deciding on Acuity. The software allows my clients to schedule meetings at that leisure and syncs seamlessly with my Gmail calendar. No more going back in forth through email about what time works best for a meeting. I love getting the notification that a new meeting has been scheduled. Saves me time which makes me money!

Pros: I love how I can set my availability and prospects or my own members can schedule a time to meet with me.

Cons: I have 2 jobs where I use this software, it will block out and put 'busy' on the other calendar that it wasn't scheduled. I wish no matter what calendar was pulled up it would show what's scheduled for that day instead of me toggling between both calendars.

Overall: I'm much more organized the time management, I have while using this product has helped so much as well!

Pros: Easy to use. My clients love the confirmation emails and ability to reschedule their appointments. Love that it integrates with my google calendar on my phone. Clients can now schedule appointments and see my hourly rate as well, by type of appointment. It relieves me of having to call to reschedule client appointments.

Cons: Wish I had found this years ago! Price is to low for the range of services I receive. Need to get the word out to more business.

Overall: Saves time, makes my company look more professional. Clients love it! Provides a lot of services for a affordable cost. Easy to use. Great documentation.

Pros: I love that I can create special times and links to send to someone for them to schedule time with me. My clients are then able to schedule an appointment with me and pay for it ahead of time so there is never any added fuss with invoicing. I can set up multiple scheduling forms, one for a free consult, which is always housed on my website, and others for paid consultations with their own time frames, costs, and forms for the client to fill out. Another great feature is connecting to my Google calendar, so as long as I schedule my appointments on the correct calendar, those times are automatically blocked out on the acuity scheduling calendar. I've also connected the scheduling form to my email service, adding them to a specific list when they schedule an appointment. This software has saved me so much time and hassle!

Cons: I cannot really think of anything I like least about Acuity. I guess I wish it was a bit cheaper since I don't use it on a daily basis, but still I am ok with the price point because the software really saves me a lot of time and is easy to use.

Comments: Acuity has a point of difference in the booking system market by being user friendly and functional. Not lacking in features however the navigation around the system is clear and usable by various demographics.

Integrates to smart phones or cell phones with ease with the ability for the client to change therapy and dates with a click or touch of a finger.

The support is fun, yes fun, they send replies with some personality not just black and white answers. I enjoy that from those rascals in support.

Pros: Affordability

Ease of use

Text message feature

Cons: The use of the '@' symbol to communicate price

Overall: I am currently starting my new service business and having a good booking system for not only my customers to use but also for me to coordinate my schedule with employees, is crucial. I was looking for a booking software that would fit 3 top criteria; it could be easily integrated into my website, customisable and affordable.

Firstly, integrating the software into my website was easy. I have a WordPress website and it was as simple as copying the embed code from Acuity and pasting it into the form block.

Secondly, customising the contents of my booking form was essential because I wanted to have the option for my customers to choose 'add-ons' to their total service. This is possible on Acuity, meaning I can better personalise my service to each individual customer.

Thirdly, affordability, especially when starting a business, is paramount. After doing research into other scheduling software, I found Acuity to be extremely good value for money! Its `growing business¿ membership type offers me everything that my business needs in its current form but looking into the future I look forward to expanding and upgrading to the `powerhouse play¿ option (for still such an affordable price!).

To be extremely picky, the one thing I do not enjoy aesthetically about the booking form is the use of the '@' symbol to communicate price. E.g. One Bedroom Home; 2 hours @ $ AUD120.00.

For me it impacts its professional look slightly, however, that is only to be extremely critical outside of all its great features!

Pros: Fairly easy to navigate, cuts out a significant amount of time and effort in the constant back-and-forth of manual scheduling + handles the reminders for me, so there's a smaller margin for error.

Cons: It could use some User Experience-related enhancements to a couple of areas such as customizing confirmation/reminder emails.

Overall: I've brought Acuity with me through contracts at 3 different companies -- I think that speaks for itself. :)

Pros: It's very basic they make it easy to set up and change your calendar which is nice. You can also add intake questions or documents!

Cons: There aren't as many features as other scheduling software. Biggest missing feature is being able to have multiple calendars for different employees. There is basically no help line so if you need help you have to figure out yourself.

Overall: This makes scheduling appointments very easy for our team.

Pros: Functionality. The service is quite good for managing my multiple therapists schedules easily. I rarely have scheduling mistakes or conflicts. And, it's easy for customers to create their own appointments, reschedule, and cancel easily.

Comments: Acuity is cheap and its customer service people are unfailingly pleasant, but Acuity itself seems designed to be as unhelpful as possible for what I need it for.

1) I schedule for the whole school year. However, you can only schedule the "number" of recurring appointments, not until a specific date. If you count he number of appointments incorrectly, you have to go through and schedule them again. I've figured out how to make this interface sit up and bark after much trial and error, but there is no way my clients would reliably schedule themselves effectively using it.

2. When you cancel appointments, they live in the system forever, right alongside the actual appointments. See above: doesn't do recurring appointments well. If you want to get rid of them, you have to delete the client and then put in the client again. This is an annoying work around, and again, it limits my ability to let clients do their own scheduling (which was the point of this product for me!)

3. When you send out scheduling reminders, you only have the option of [First Name] and [Last Name] for fields. This gets tricky when I would also like to put in [Kid's name]. Again, I've worked around it, and again, I can't give over control of this to my clients because of the nonintuitive workaround.

I guess the main benefit here is the automated scheduling reminders, but I'm at the point where I'm pretty sure that that is not worth the hassle of dealing with this program. That said, most of these issues center around the nature of my business and my dependence on the less well-designed aspects of Acuity, so I can see why other folks have given Acuity such excellent reviews.

Comments: We have just starting using this app for my business which books people in for private appointments, group classes and retreats and workshops. We have identified the following major shortcomings. 1. Does not have a waiting list function for courses and workshops which are fully booked 2. The most annoying glitch is that when people book up for say a 5 day workshop, it acts as if each day is a separate appointment. It sends out a separate reminder for each day, and in its interaction with Xero, our accounting software if generates a separate invoice for each day. This is REALLY ABSURD and REALLY ANNOYING. 3. In its interaction with our accounting software we are unable to specify a code for the different transactions. It means that we have to go to each invoice and put in our correct code before sending the invoice.

Pros: Fairly easy to set up Most of our clients don't have trouble booking Connects to our accounting software (but we then need to process the invoices manually before they are sent out.

Cons: 1. No waiting list function 2. Can't book multi-day events properly 3, Needs some more fine-tuning for interaction with accounting software

Recommendations to other buyers: Have a look around and see what else is available if you wish to book people into multi-day events. It's probably fine for single bookings.

Great value flexible and reliable.

Pros: I like that I can go in and block time off.

I like that I can send a direct link to my clients for the kind of consultation that I want them to schedule.

I like that I am able to link payment to the calendar and that I am able to add my different packages to it as well.

I LOVE that I can create a coupon code for my returning clients...HUGE!

It is so super easy that I can type in a clients name in the search menu and they come up with their appointment history, etc.

The integrations are awesome too

I also like that clients can cancel and re-schedule themselves.

Cons: Gosh, there are times that I get lost from toggling between the business section to the appointment section, but that is just my brain!

Hard to come up with cons...I love it!

Overall: Acuity is super easy for me to you, but even easier for my clients to use. Not only does it link to all my other calendars, so I know what is going on at all times, my clients love the ability to have scheduling options and report the reminders for our consultations are awesome!

Recommendations to other buyers: I would highly recommend this to someone that wants to get organized and present as a professional to their clients!

Pros: This does everything we want. It supports multiple calendars, conversion pixels, and payments via the system

Cons: Some of the functionality does not work in the intuitive sense and thus support was needed to implement, ie calendar blocking. The settings on the page were correct but other areas of the control panel have to be setup to coincide. This was not clearly documented nor intuitive

Overall: We are happy with it. And with the support. Wish it was a little more intuitive, however you would probably loose some of the functionality. Wish it was more like Apple UX and less Android/Microsoft UX

Pros: It has all the features I want and allows me to customize my communications with my clients. I am upgrading to get extra features, but even the free version allowed me to have multiple appointment types and create unique autoresponders, depending on the kind of client. I was able to get everything set up in a day and start inviting clients to schedule appointments with me. I also really appreciate the graphic interface with the calendar that lets me click on a time spot to create an appointment of whatever type I want. It saves a lot of typing of numbers. Also it remembers my clients and allows me to store data about them. I have used two other online calendar programs (Calendly and ScheduleOnce) and given them both up because of lack of functionality I needed to manage my various client groups. Acuity seems to have everything I need!

Overall: Easy implementation and customizing so that I could create appropriate communications with different categories of clients. Integration of multiple calendars, so that I don't get double booked.

Pros: I love that you're able to customize your page. I also love the fact that you're able to use pictures. I also love the extra add ons that most sites don't have ex. (like being able to add thank you to each individual service). You have an option to make your calendar appear fuller I also like being able to pay a deposit or the option to pay in full. You can tell that this is a well thought out scheduling site. Even though the free site, doesn't allow payments and reminders. It's still thoughtful to include that for startup business owners or entrepreneurs. It does take a little time to set up as most things but once they add the reviews, this is will be THE best and most affordable appointment booking site online.

Cons: Customers not being able to leave reviews. The past sites I've used even though I like acuity better have the option to leave reviews. My only other con is not finding this sooner. I was paying about 30-40 a month with another site and I wish I would've found out about acuity then.

Pros: It's so user friendly, we constantly get positive comments about it. Literally no patient had an issue figuring it out. We love that we can embed it on our website and personalize everything. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Cons: We wish it was a full EHR software. We ended up moving to the online scheduling that was integrated with our EHR, and we still miss Acuity.

Overall: We saved lots of money in administrative costs, because everyone loved to use our online scheduling instead of calling in.

Pros: -the ability to handle complex scheduling needs and limits

-super low price

-super responsive and thorough customer service

Cons: The only con I can think of is that it takes a little time to learn (like any new system). Acuity offers tons of customization settings and remembering where those settings are is a learning curve but one that can be easily overcome w/ practice!

Overall: We use Acuity at the non-profit I work for to schedule spay/neuter surgery appointments and dog training classes. The integrated payment features that we set to require payment up front has slashed our no-show rate by almost 75%! We also have complex scheduling needs based on the size, sex, and species of animal and Acuity was able to handle it all! They consistently "wow" me with the features of their product, excellent customer service, and ridiculously low pricing. I've also recommended them to hairdresser and brow lady b/c I love them so much! Anybody I meet with a scheduling need, I don't hesitate to recommend Acuity.

Recommendations to other buyers: We demoed 5 scheduling vendors with annual prices ranging from $228-$1477 and Acuity was the lowest with the most features. Even the $1477 vendor couldn't handle the complexity of our scheduling needs.

Comments: I started my fitness training business two years ago first just using google calendar to track my appointments. I needed more and was sold on Mindbody before they had their new cheaper pricing options. Mindbody did everything I wanted it to do but was ridiculously expensive, and the merchant account was also too costly too. After a lot of looking I chose Acuity and have happily used it over the last 6 months.

Pros

It has awesome reminder emails that you can customize, setting up appointments is easy. And it has two-way sync to my google calendar, which is rare, because when I put a haircut appointment or something into my google calendar it blocks off the time in my schedule so no one can book. With mindbody I would have to block off the time and book it my google calendar, basically doing everything twice. Also, acuity is constantly upgrading their services and expanding their product, every couple weeks i get notifications of the new improved things that i can do.

Cons

I haven't yet figured out how to sell/assign packages to my clients so I just keep track of how many sessions my clients have left manually. And now that I am getting busier and having more clients book online with me I am having some problems because I can't block off some time slots for clients, i have to keep scheduling them and then if i forget someone books in and then i have to ask them to change it.

I'd recommend acuity if you use google and are a solo business person starting out. Once you get above 20 appointments a week it starts to get a little chaotic and you might consider switching.

Comments: Really great software.

Pros: Acuity allows you to customize just about everything under the sun - and even the free version isn't lacking for features! It's been a life changer when it comes to laying out my schedule. With the paid version, it syncs to your Outlook Calendar automatically and blocks people from making appointments during times that you have other events on your calendar! It's basically a computerized personal assistant. It's all very intuitive as well.

Cons: I wish we could purchase a corporate package for more than just a few employees - we have about 25+ people who use it but the "company" plan doesn't cover that many.

Pros: Email and text messaging for appoints good. The feature to create a payment page to email clients is a good feature.

Pros: Easy to integrate into software. Simple link addresses for clients. All features currently available especially when simply using the free version.

Cons: The admin side could use some better layout. Sometimes it is easy to get lost when looking for certain features.

Overall: Initially, I started with a free trial and instantly fell in love. I had done research on others in the similar category but none compared to the user-friendly interface this product has, the price for the amount of features you get, and how easy it is for clients to book online. I control what the client sees and-and even what other staff members see. It is wonderful. Definite worth a free trial run to instantly know what I am talking about! You will be hooked after that!

Recommendations to other buyers: Have not seen this yet so not sure if you offer it but maybe include SMS or automatic text message appt reminders. When setting the available appt times it would be easier to choose from a drop down the list than enter each one. Also, a calendar view on the client's end would be better than the view it has now when selecting appointments but your layout still out beats any of the others I have seen when researching which one to go to.

Pros: I have been on Acuity's free trial for under 48 hours and it has utterly demolished the competition. I can say this after only 48 hours because I came in with a long, long shopping list that said competition had persistently failed to fulfill (2-way calendar sync, Google Analytics, handy embeds, ultra-rich, ultra-flexible, yet ultra-user-friendly scheduling options including recurring, and the list goes on). And price! I'm a very small one-man tutoring shop, and $15/month gets me everything I need. I swear, I've been hard-sold so many utterly pathetic or wildly inappropriate products like this, had salespeople tell me it was rational to spend 25% of my revenue on their garbage product, and with Acuity it's like, why would they need to hard-sell you when the product is its own calling card in every respect?

Cons: I keep waiting for the deal-breaking glitch I've been trained to expect, but it keeps failing to turn up.

Pros: Acuity has provided a great platform for easy client scheduling and quick recurring appointment management. The interface gives a easy and modifiable method to allow for new leads and clients to set up meetings without taking up our time.

Cons: The lack of direct integration between two Acuity profiles requires we utilized third-party system to integrate schedules and avoid double booking. This is likely a unique challenge since we have multiple brands/businesses with the same back-end team members. We can expect them to plan for this since most people these days can't even handle the one job they have.

This was my recommendation for booking software. But they said no because it was too expensive.

Pros: Acuity Scheduling was one of the booking software platforms I was testing for my team. There's a LOT of features, and it's very easy to navigate and set up.

My favorite thing is that there's group scheduling and a lot of integrations. Various people on my team prefer different ways to be notified when someone books a call with them, and this platform makes it easy to set up.

Cons: It was the most expensive out of the options I was looking at. Overall, it was the best one - with the most flexibility and features. But I didn't make the final choice for software.

Overall: I love love love all the integrations!

Pros: I'm able to pre-schedule and automate everything, I feel like a rockstar with my scheduling and I never have to worry about over scheduling.

Cons: I can't think of a single con...oh maybe that I would like to be able to get this software for free...but then it probably wouldn't exist for long.

Pros: This tool is probably the most important part of my client acquisition system. I am in digital marketing and I use it for strategy calls with business owners. I run Facebook ads which link to my scheduling page for viewers who want to learn more, and I get a much higher conversion rate than simply asking for their information .

Another thing to note is I used to use Calendly but I prefer the layout of Acuity and it has more features.

Cons: If there was a way for people to just choose a day rather than a specific time, I would be using this for my real estate clients for bookings, because when I cannot integrate Acuity with a clients calendar software, giving the option to choose a day and have the real estate agent get back with a preferred time is the second best option.

Overall: Makes inbound marketing much smoother and more automated

Simple and clean, makes conversion rate higher for potential clients booking calls

Customisation even on the free version!

More features than Calendly

Pros: The value is incredible for the Swiss-Army-Knife of schedules. Client and appointment summaries; unlimited (?) appointment groupings and types; intake forms; pre-payments; coupons and gift certificates. Seriously! It goes on but delivers on well over 80% of our needs.

Cons: Some limitations on how coupons or gift certificates can be implemented (e.g. you can have a coupon which reduces a product by a %, but cannot do that for a service). Some may find frustration at the time required to set up multiple appointment types and customized emails.

Overall: After set-up, the relief from appointment burnout.

Comments: I have been using acuity scheduling for a couple of months and I must say I am very pleased with it. As a new marketing coach, it did not take long for me to realize I needed a more efficient method of scheduling appointments. Using acuity has saved me a lot of time. It stopped the back and forth messaging and phone calls I used to have to do to schedule a single appointment. Now, I simply send my prospects and clients a link and they schedule their appointments at a time that works well for them.

I love that I can create more than one type of appointment. Each is a different length and acuity generates a different link. You can embed the scheduler into your website or send a link to your prospects.

It's such a flexible system. While most of my acuity scheduling pages are public, there are a couple that I made private with the simple click of a button. Each of my clients has the ability to cancel or reschedule their appointments. I like that each person gets an email confirming their appointment. In addition, I can track each email that acuity scheduling sent confirming, canceling and rescheduling appointments in my dashboard. You also have the ability to customize each message type.

Overall, this is a great scheduling system that will save you time. I enjoy using the free version and have gotten significant use out of it. I am looking forward to upgrading to enjoy more of the premium features. I highly recommend acuity scheduling.

This product offers everything you need to automate your appointment booking!

Comments: I've just recently signed up for Acuity Scheduling, after hearing about them on podcasts from folks I trust. I've previously been suing a competitor's scheduling tool, and been satisfied, but not truly impressed.

With acuity, I'm impressed. Setup is a breeze, and the tools allow you to do almost anything I'd want.

Integration with various other providers' tools are an important feature I wanted but didn't have with my other scheduler. (I use Aweber, and love being able to add new customers to a list automatically)

Another important feature for me, was the ability to actually charge customers at the time of booking, thus avoiding the awkwardness of taking payment during the appointment itself. And, because it seamlessly integrates with both Paypal and Stripe, my customers have a choice of payment methods.

For me, the only drawback, and a very small one, at that, is that the design features are a bit thin on functionality. When embedding the scheduler into my website, I was unable to use the same fonts as appear elsewhere, or to style things to fit into my site design. Ultimately, I've just decided to instead redirect to the default scheduling page. Perhaps if I were fluent in CSS, I could do what I want, but alas, that's not me. Maybe, with time, more design tools will be included.

I expect I'll be staying with Acuity Scheduling for the foreseeable future. It's a great, affordable, and highly functional product. Just what I've been looking for!

Pros: It is a very robust and full-featured program with an awesome app for IOS (iPhone). This is the app I have been looking for to manage my work, hobbies, and life!

I particularly like the way it handles multiple time zones even on the free version.

This means I can do business, Interview, and schedule Guests for my future podcasts with ease.

Additional Pros the scheduling links allow you to create people friendly URLs with out addtional hastle!

This application had beat out a hand full of competition to make its way into my phone and computer...

Cons: As of right now, I can not think of any Cons, if I do I will let them know and perhaps it will become a future feature.

Overall: I started out evaluating Acuity Scheduling while playing with Calendly and found it to be much more than just a simple event scheduler. I started with my distain for playing phone tag. Currently, I have headhunters calling and wanting to connect as I have been circulating my resume being an out of work Software Engineer.

I have found that Acuity Scheduling has freed me up and eliminated phone tag from my life. Now when somebody emails me wanting to set up a meeting I can send them a link and have them schedule it at their leisure. It also emails handy reminders that easily schedule into my Google Calendar. This means I can schedule my own tasks and events and I get the same scheling priority as everything else in my life.

Pros: It is so simple to get yourself set up. I haven't had to use the online support team yet, so can't comment on that, but everything I've tried to set up on my own has worked seamlessly. It syncs perfectly with my google calendar so I can be confident of never missing an appointment. The scheduling link looks professional and enable clients to book at a time that suits them, rather than having numerous emails back and forth to find a mutually agreeable time. Rescheduling appointments is super easy. I tried another scheduling software before settling on Acuity, and I am so happy I did. It's a doddle!

Cons: It would be great if the appointment confirmations appeared automatically in my google calendar, rather than having to select 'add to calendar' each time an appointment is confirmed.

Overall: I wanted to avoid wasting time and be able to trust my scheduling software. Acuity gives me peace of mind and saves me a huge amount of time.

Pros: This software allowed me to take so many things off my plate. I could have all of the scheduling done without my input. Running several projects at a time, it would be 40 hours per week just answering emails to make appointments. This organized everything into one neat package.

Cons: I had no issues using this software at all. I found it to be user friendly. The were no bumps in the road for me.

Comments: I have tried numerous scheduling system out there, and one of my colleagues recommended acuity scheduling for my online business where I provide 1-to-1, and group online consultation services for my clients. Unfortunately, I had trouble with double-booking, missed appointments, no-shows, etc because of the time zone issue. Not only that, I have to manually send confirmation emails and reminders to clients one by one during my downtime, which ate up a lot of my time when I am supposed to rest. With acuity, it is easier and much faster for clients to book sessions without any obstacle because it coordinates with their time zone and sends them automated reminders via email and confirmation about their session. On top of that, the appointments are "automatically" synced with google calendar, so I don't have to manually type down every session onto my calendar, and again saved me time!

The customer service is fantastic as they respond very quickly and are polite in handling customer querries.

The only cons that I see with acuity is the google syncing and the administrator couldn't control the information that is shown in the calendar. I embedded acuity onto my website for clients to see how many bookings I have. However, it shows their information for other clients to see, as well as the certificate codes so I have to take down my calendar from my website.

But despite that, the advantages of acuity simply outweighs that one disadvantage.

Amazing. I love everything about this product.

Pros: I love that he scheduler embeds into my website instead of taking my clients to an entirely different website. I love that I can customize my emails and have a user friendly front end system.

Cons: That i can't send you haven't been in in a while emails to my clients. I also wish that i could customize the add-on instructions when booking. I also wish that I could separate packages and gift certificates into two separate pages. Also, a better text notification system when a client books. I'd like to see so and so booked a 60 min Massage with you at date&time.

Pros: I liked how it integrates easily with other software I am using, applying links to external sales pages. I think my favorite part really are the embedded forms. Then I didn't have to use another piece of software and integrate it. Everything I needed was right there ready & waiting to use!

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like about it!

Overall: I love this software! I know all software has glitches, but I haven't found any yet. I was pleased at how quickly and easily I was able to set up a trial account with full functionality that gave me an awesome overview of how the whole system worked & integrates with other software I use. I was able to post to my FB pages, my WP pages, and add links into sales pages and even my phone! I did not have to call customer service, because the online instructions were so good.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try it today! Find out how easy it is to schedule appointments, collect payments, and import your logos to match your website! You should also check out other scheduling software just to make sure you are getting what YOU need, but I think you'll find you will settle with Acuity!

Pros: The ability to automatically text clients 1 hour before meetings. The ability to enable Paypal or Stripe payments before booking. Also, very recently, the ability to look "busier" through eliminating 40% of my available time slots for a client booking a call.

Cons: I honestly think the design interface could look a little more sleek, compared to Calendly, but that's just me as a designer.

Overall: It has saved me so much time, I never have to remind clients of their appointment times and I never have to text them anything. The notes feature is also great for keeping track of the number of client sessions.

Streamlined Scheduler

Comments: Using Acuity Scheduling has made my business so much more streamlined. My clients can now easily schedule their appointments with me online and in real time. The set up was super easy and I appreciate how I am able to customize my times for each day and make changes to accommodate changes in my schedule with ease. Prior to this, I was emailing my clients back and forth to confirm times and spent countless hours on this. Now I have the link to my calendar posted right on my website and clients can just click in to book. Plus, with the ability to add forms to the appointments, I was able to add my Client Intake Form right to the booking, so eliminated one more hassle of emailing the form. It's all there in one easy place. Acuity scheduling has truly save me valuable time and money and has so many options to accommodate any type of business.

Pros: - Flexibility in customizing my scheduler - Ability to add in client forms to complete prior to booking - Ability to personalize the scheduler and add in my logo - Ease of use (it seriously took me about 30 min to create my entire schedule)

Cons: - The only drawback that I experienced was actually my own mistake. Make sure you select the feature allowing clients to book in their own time. My clients are all over North America and there was some confusion over time zones.

Pros: It's simple to set up the layout is customizable I like the fact that links to my Google and my Square account

Cons: No one really emails I feel that the text reminder should be available for the emerging entrepreneur

Overall: The features on this app are amazing I like the fact that I was able to customize how the page looks from the customers point of view. I also like the fact that I'm able to charge a deposit and the fact that it is linked to my Square account. It's professional it's straight to the point and it's linked to my Google Calendar so whenever someone books an appointment I don't have to go in put it in my calendar it automatically schedule for me. I am a nail tech independent contractor so I only need one calendar but once I expand into my salon I'll be able to do up to 5 calendars which is really cool. The only downside to the app is the emerging entrepreneur does not have the reminder text feature it only has email. I think I would change that because no one really emails anymore everything is mostly through text. Other than that it's a great and I plan on staying with this company.
