Pros: Summary: I run one of Japan's largest inbound travel portals, www.japantravel.com, and needed to buy a travel agency management software product early last year. I personally contacted over 20 travel software companies around the world and received presentations from each, ranking each on functionality, price, cloud-capability, responsiveness, etc. My priority was a low-cost but highly functional product that I could grow my team into. Out of the 20 products reviewed, 5 came in at less than upfront cost (one of my metrics). I was very surprised to find that Toursoft was not only the cheapest of the five but was also one of the best in terms of ease-of-use and creating attractive itineraries. The team behind this product are located in both India and Japan and they have great work ethic and customer awareness. As a result, we have been able to work with them closely to advance the product and customize it for our local regulations and work processes. Can't recommend them highly enough.

* Easy to learn and use front end
* Completely cloud based and browser-centric - fast and highly compatible with web and mobile devices
* Absurdly cheap per user compared to other solutions
* Connects to major GDS's, with more coming each quarter - they're also willing to build API connections for your local suppliers
* Highly responsive support team - polite, same-day response

Cons: * Still developing their back end - so it's a work in progress for travel agency deeper functions
* You'll need to contract some API work for local GDS suppliers - luckily they are cheaper than their competitors in this department
* Committed to Open Platforms, so this is not the solution for you if you are Microsoft centric

Overall: The Toursoft product was very easy to get up and running, as it is served on an SaaS basis from the supplier's Amazon servers. The recently released renewed front end is also easy to navigate and understand, allowing my staff to quickly come up to speed.

While these have been important points, the biggest benefit has been the Toursoft team's responsiveness and willingness to connect their databases to our local GDS suppliers (of which there are many in Japan). This ability to connect new inventory is giving us a massive competitive advantage over other firms, who take months or even years to interconnect with new suppliers. As a result, we're ingesting inventory from Japanese activities, restaurant, and transfers suppliers before anyone else.
