Pros: Low cost, ease of use great for entry low level positions, 100% guarantee, easy to post jobs, great for companies with small amount of jobs

Cons: Lack of customization, mostly applicable for entry jobs, most resumes not applicable. Quality of candidates is lacking, and amount of resumes received

Pros: I like that this software basically prescreens canidates, saving me time. I also like the filter functions!

Cons: What I like least about this is the price associated with the product. The price isn't outragous but there are cheaper listing sites.

Pros: Very easy to use for anyone looking to search for employees and new applicants. This platform helps show you all that's out there.

Cons: We haven't had great success working with this software to find employees for our company, mainly because we found that we need someone fishing very often to get the full benefit of this software, which we just don't have the resources to do so right now.

Pros: ZipRecruiter has a nice database of candidates that is relatively easy to search. They provide no shortage of candidates as well applying for positions. It is a good site for posting and praying or if you have open parameters for filling a position.

Cons: Most of the candidates that apply for jobs are not qualified for the position they are applying for. The way ZipRecruiter lets candidates build a resume' is very basic and the system allows candidates to apply for jobs without really even sharing any relevant credentials. The functionality of ZipRecruiter is extremely limited when it comes to compliance and reporting for Affirmative Action Employers.

Poor. Their trial period was very poorly detailed.

Pros: UI was very easy to use, got plenty of responses to jobs I posted, some decent candidates. Short trial period meant I wasn't able to fulfill any roles, not their fault per se. When I contacted them about my account being charged, they promptly refunded my money.

Cons: Horrible, horrible transparency. I signed up for the free trial and couldn't even figure out how long their free trial period was until after I talked to their agent. Turns out it's only 4 days. That's just short enough to be totally useless.

Worse part is they weren't very clear about when my account would be charged. Turns out, they charge you on the 4th day of the trial, so if you call on the 4th day to cancel, your account would have rolled over to paid account. Their customer service was nice enough to refund me though, just the lack of transparency left a sour taste.

Pros: ZipRecruiter has an excellent note taking ability. It timestamps each note on the candiates, which makes it very easy to track. The ability to send emails individually or in a group worked seamlessly, which I truly enjoyed.

Cons: I never seemed to get the best candidates for my industry. I mostly recruit for Customer Service and Sales, and I seemed to get applicants who were overqualified, or underqualified. My hires were the lowest from ZipRecruiter. That being said, in different industries it probably works much better.

Cons: Everyone of the 10 candidates I got had NO experience in the industry and were applying for a SENIOR LEADERSHIP position. I was so disappointed, but I signed up for a 30 free trial and I thought I would give them time to make it work, until I saw a charge on my card! I called them to complain and they told me that there was never a 30 free trial, not only that, they told me that I needed to put more qualifications to LIMIT my posting! Not only was that INSANE and ILLOGICAL they had the gall to tell me what I need in an applicant. I told them that I was 100% dissatisfied with their service, their customer service and their dishonest advertising. They told me that they would not refund me the fee they charged without my consent. Furthermore, they tried to sell me again on their worthless service. I am so upset with their services I will no longer listen to the podcasts that they sponsor .

Overall: My wallet was significantly lighter after they took my money, lied to me, and offered a terrible product in return.

Pros: We used an ad to hire a new employee. This software is great to get you potential employees to send resumes.

Cons: The only con i have is zip recruiter sent us a couple resumes from potential candidates that did not have any experience in our industry

Pros: Zip recruiter pushes your job posting to many other job sites on the internet. I was surprised to see all the platforms where our job posting was listed. My favorite feature is the ability to set minimum qualifications which automatically pre-screen applicants. It saved me a lot of time because I did not have to review resumes where candidates did not meet the minimum qualifications. I could also easily identify which candidates I wanted to interview.

Cons: The initial set up time to schedule the job posting took longer than other sites but mostly because I was using the specialized filter features.

Pros: I've been using ZipRecruiter for a few months now, and it seems like they send me many jobs that are based on the searches I do. It's a very easy to use interface and makes it easy for me to navigate through.

Cons: The jobs can sometimes be unrelated to what I'm looking for, but again it's really based on my search criteria. I'm mainly interested in biotech jobs, but sometimes they'll give me jobs in IT or tech.

Pros: Very easy to use and produces results. Integrated applicant tracking, rating, and contact log. Reasonably priced when compared to other recruiting apps.

Cons: Seems to produce best results in larger markets and doesn't always seem to reach down into areas with smaller populations. Some advertising that was previously free is now a paid add-on. Guaranteed posting views are expensive.

Overall: Solid and affordable recruiting system with integrated applicant tracking, screening, rating, and communication log at a price significantly lower than Indeed.

Pros: I find that ZIp Recruiter is an amazing tool. Even when you are using a trial it gets you the numbers of applicants that you are looking for that meet my requirements. I love the fact that after setting up a trial that i recieved a call from a sales agent almost right away... but....

Cons: For some reason, not everyone in the sales team knew that I was called and still attempting to find out if the service was worth the cost or not. When I say that I received calls from almost the entire sales team I did. I took the time out of busy schedule and spoke to each and everyone of them and the focus of the call was clear. That they were wanting me to pay for a month and that the product that I picked ( which was the cheapest) was not the correct one that I need to upgrade to the highest package. I explained each and every time that I understand that you feel that way .. but I have to make sure that the product is worth that price tag. That didn't hinder them, and a few had the balls to get upset with me like.. I should know who they are and they are the best. hmm mmm at that point I no longer wanted to partner or use a company that was more worried about meeting their quota then if I as a customer is happy with the product or service.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is a good place to go and find jobs that you are seeking in your area and in your field of expertise.

Cons: You have to watch for scams. Some of the jobs I have come across are scams. They will push you like a real job, but the questiosn the seek are not valid.

Pros: ZipRecruiter is pretty easy to use and conveniently sends your job post to multiple job boards. Upkeep of job posts and checking on applicants is also very easy to use.

Cons: Unfortunately the subscription was out of our budget and we were only able to use this for a short time. The quality of candidates we received for jobs was increased, but not for the price we would have to pay monthly.

Comments: you get good candidates but not as quickly

Pros: Easy to navigate and add your job posting but the more you put the more your post seems distracting to the job applicant

Cons: The cost is on the expensive side for one job posting a month it is over one hundred dollars when other job sites are free

Pros: We can post jobs quickly nation-wide and we do get a good response rate of applicants. It is an effective tool in securing candidates.

Cons: The resume search feature is horrible!!!

Pricing just raised significantly for a year. Tremendous increase!

We have not renewed at this time!

Pros: It posts to many job boards so it allows the posting to be seen by a lot of people. The reps are usually readily available.

Cons: They try to make you spend a lot of extra money via boosts, which are really expensive, and I question how effective they are.

Overall: Pretty effective

Pros: The software is incredibly easy to use, regardless of your computer skills. It's very easy to plug information into associated fields, and make all information as clear-cut and presentable as possible.

Cons: The software allows candidates to apply to roles too easily. With the one-click apply, we find that many candidates, who have no skills whatsoever for particular jobs, apply for roles that they shouldn't be. This is a major time constraint as we spend excessive time sorting through countless resumes that shouldn't be there in the first place.

Overall: Many candidates and candidate leads, as well as ease of software. Ziprecruiter is particularly useful for souring lower-level candidates.

Pros: There is not a single Pro about ZipRecruiter........................................................

Cons: Everything. I have told ZipRecruiter for over 4 months to cancel my account and STOP CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD. Every time I speak to a customer service representative they tell me they have cancelled my account and I will not be charged anymore but when I look at my bank account every month they continue to charge me. Their customer service team is literally non-existent now. It states you can call Monday-Friday anywhere from 6AM-6PM but when you call it now states "email us at support.ziprecruiter.com and we will respond asap". Worst experience I have ever had. There is no option on their website to take your credit card off either......

This site has not been beneficial for our industry in the past

Pros: I found it easy to search for resume's with the minimum qualifications. I also found it easy to work with customer service on an account issue.

Cons: I do not seem to find quality candidates for our skilled trade or many other skilled trades. I did not find this program to be a wise financial decision and did not pursue their hiring program.

Pros: The website is very easy to understand, the learning curve is very low and overall the tool is quite powerful.

Cons: It's good to use if you are recruiting low level positions (administration, etc) but NOT good for recruiting IT professionals which is what we were looking at it for.

Comments: When I was testing out my new auto-reply email message in ziprecruiter, I was emailed the following, which sends any applicant to any of my jobs straight into the arms of my competitors. And I pay for this!?!?

Pros: This is a good product for a corporation that has dozens of different types of jobs that need filling.
It is easy to use and low-priced.

Cons: It does not pre-qualify candidates so you can get 100+ inappropriate resumes for a position, which slows you down.

It does not work with 2 major job sites, Indeed.com & Dice. Plus, it doesn't work with small niche market job posting sites that I use.

Overall: ZipRecruiter is a terrific product for large corporations, in that it allows you to post a job to multiple sites with the click of a button at a very low cost. But unfortunately, it's not great for my particular niche market - so I eventually canceled my subscription.

I initially signed up for the product as it would enable me to post jobs on Indeed.com at no extra cost. When Indeed.com severed the relationship (to increase direct revenue to their site, the product was no longer a good fit for me. Plus, only 1 out of a 100+ resumes were a fit for the jobs that I was posting - so I found myself taking too much time reviewing inappropriate resumes.

Recommendations to other buyers: Not at this time.

Comments: ZipRecruiter did not lead to more candidates for our organization. They used to have a one click feature where you could post to craigslist and they got rid of that feature. Just didn't see more candidates from using them. Even though it is a low cost it wasn't worth it for our company.

Comments: Cross-posting to a hundred job boards is their selling point but your job postings lose "visibility" like Craigslist. You don't need to cross-post jobs to a hundred job boards to get the needed results. Almost every job board aggregates their listings into one service and we all know who that is. Is aggregating your listings into one not adequate? It is.

Pros: UI is a bit easier to use

Cons: Aggressive up-selling of upgrades. Results are not satisfactory. Job postings lose visibility. Expensive.

Recommendations to other buyers: We get better results from competitors. Their pricing is the lowest.

Comments: As a technical recruiter, I have been using ziprecruiter for about a 2 years now. I find the ability to post a position within their site and their cross posting is wonderful and the social networking linking is a plus.

Pros: Easy, free and offers tons of resumes

Cons: Search capability could improve

Comments: ZipRecruiter appears to be gaining in popularity for both job seekers and job promoters. In today's society, job searching and posting are geared more towards online more than ever.

Pros: I am new to my job in the HR department and this product helped me keep organized when it came to looking for new employees.

Cons: There wasn't anything that I really disliked about this software.

Recommendations to other buyers: If your looking for software to help keep you organized and updated on job listings and possible candidates for jobs then I would recommend this software.

Pros: It's cheap and allows hiring managers and internal recruiters to quickly share the workload related to screening and onboarding. Really like the quick, but very useful emails, with the resume attached. Great for sitting at the airport and reviewing resumes. The custom tags are very useful.

Cons: The UI doesn't allow much personalization. I only care about a couple job postings, and everything from my company is loaded in, without the ability to save custom views and dashboards. Also would really like a high level dashboard with key metrics (new applicants, total unreviewed applicants, number of thumbs up/flat/down, ALL PER POSITION, or FOR ONLY THE POSITIONS I CARE ABOUT)

Recommendations to other buyers: Constantly hone in your JD's based on the candidates you get. Sometimes I am getting too technical resources, so I tweak it, and get too junior resources, and keep adjusting your JD's

Pros: Like that they are continually updating the software, making it easy to quickly review candidates without having to jump through lots of UI hoops.

Cons: Fairly frequently receive phone calls trying to upsell me to additional products. Sometimes the UI is a bit clunky/slow to load.

Recommendations to other buyers: We are pleased with our choice and overall the system is very easy to use.

Pros: ZR does a good job at posting to a large number of job sites.

Cons: ZR is not as strong when it comes to being able to search applicants. Once candidates are hidden, it is very hard to search. I wish there was more ability to pipeline, customize workflows, and move candidates from one job to another.

Recommendations to other buyers: It it a good tool for the cost to get applicants in. There is not much customization or strong ATS capabilities, but it is strong for the cost.

Are they out of their minds????

Comments: I have been with ZipRecruiter for 4 years, I received an email today that said my Company Account was having a price increase...from $149 per month to $576 per month????? Buh bye ZipRecruiter, there are other options for that kind of money.

Comments: Most of my ziprecruiter experience involved the account representative trying to get me to sign on for upgrades at an additional cost. They didn't help guide me with my job post as much as trying to sell me on additional services. Some of the additional services were ineffective. Overall I'm very unhappy with the service.

Pros: The system is easy to use as far as posting and editing your job post.

Cons: The account representative was aggressively trying to upsell add on features to my job post. I didn't have great results, and when I voiced this to the customer service representative they were still trying to sell more by offering a discount on the next month (even while I was cancelling). If you do use this service, make sure to use the basic and ignore the high pressure sales tactics.

Comments: I have used this system to fill several positions. I send all candidates from all sources (my own personal networking, linkedin, etc.) to the ziprecruiter posting so that all candidates can be tracked in one place. It's been especially useful for collaborating with others. I've been really happy with it

Pros: - Ease of use -- very intuitive system - The ability to create online interviews for pre-screening -- it has saved so much time to be able to get deal breakers out of the way online (e.g. when remote work is not supported, etc.) - Easy filtering, sorting, exporting, etc by multiple variables - Collaboration with others -- using the comments section, status, and other fields is very helpful - Reasonable pricing in comparison to other systems

Cons: If you send an email to a candidate from the system, it doesn't save it in a sent folder in the system. You can have the system send you a copy of the email, but I would prefer to just be able to look in a sent folder in the system itself

Good results but pricey.

Comments: I have used the trial version of Zip recruiter and liked it. Their job postings gets lost of visibility and other than that I was not using the other features. They should reduce the price to get more customers.

Pros: Good quality of responses on job postings.

Cons: Price is higher as compared to other similar applications.

Comments: I signed up for ziprecruiter.com to hire Regional Managers across the US and because our Regional Managers earn an override from the employees they hire, Ziprecruiter.com said we were a MLM company which we absolutely ARE NOT. However the managers at Ziprecruiter.com couldn't understand how corporate america works as far as sales are concerned and deactivated our account and was rude about it. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM. There are other options out there that understand how companies are run and employees compensated.

Cons: Rude support staff

Comments: Zip Recruiter is my one stop website for recruiting. It posts all over the internet including Indeed.com the largest online job board. Zip Recruiter simplifies the recruiting process, hitting hundreds of job boards with a single click. Thank you for making everything localized!

I just signed up with ICIMS. Functionality to publish job ads from ICIMS might boost your clientelle and easy of use for those currently using ICIMS or other Recruitment Software. Also (not sure if it's possible but if it is...) would be great if we could post to other sites like unemployment and some other smaller local sites that I have to go in with a username and password.

Zip Recruiter is a wonderful program. It's perfect for small business, it's reasonably priced and easy to use. Thanks so much!
