Quick reporting. Siteseer's team has created custom reports for our group that meet our specific needs and increase efficiency. Pros Universal access from laptop or tablet. Void analysis is fantastic and extremely useful. Custom tools made for our team are extremely valuable and Siteseer's team has done a fantastic job programming those tools. Cons Some features we want are not available yet, but their team is working to add those as quickly as possible. Customer service is clearly a huge priority for this company and it has been a joy to work with them. Cons The only thing I can think of is that we are mac based and find it works well with Chrome. We normally use Safari, so this was a small and simple shift to make. Great void analysis and Gap analysis. Is there a feasibility study available? Pros Easy to use. Helpful videos that show how to work everything involved with the software. Out of all of the different types of software we have SiteSeer is the only one that we have not had one problem with. Cons Finding accurate traffic counts is hard because I don't know where the data is being pulled from. I'm sure this is due to the type of package that we have a subscription for. I wasnt sure if an upgrade would give us better numbers. The void analysis tool is also super helpful. Lastly, the heat maps are a great tool. Cons The site is not intuitive for people who are not as tech-savvy. I would also like to see traffic counts more integrated into the system. Cons I really wish it was more flexible with its layer options and a big pet peave is that i can't filter on layers. Example would be i cant just show areas with a certain threshold of hispanics or college degrees. The thematic maps in my opinion are virtually useless and in some cases limits the ability to tell a story about a trade area or region. Another big issue is that we can't import are own data like shapefiles and zoning data. Last issue would simply be speed but i understand that. The product has allowed us to customize it by incorporating data specific to our product's demand/supply specifications - and using that nationwide in our site selection process. Pros The ability for it to be customized to unique business needs. It seems like any ideas/thoughts we have for improving our SiteSeer platform (as a start-up business, we have MANY ideas). We are always able to improve our internal site selection processes in this way. SiteSeer allows us to put data and science to a process that is normally based on "gut feel". We are smarter and more informed about our real estate today than we have ever been before. Our "real estate guys" no longer have to spend days in a market trying to find the best sites for our product. Using SiteSeer, our team is able to determine the precise areas for focus with adequate demand so they don't waste their time in areas that don't work. Prospective/current franchisees, lenders and brokers are always thoroughly impressed with the platform and our ability to use data to drive site selection decisions. We probably should have a deck of business cards with Tom's contact information on it for how often we recommend it! There are many products that claim to be a cookie-cutter solution to business needs for site selection, but none offer the support and the creativity that the SiteSeer team offers. We thoroughly appreciate Tom and Andy's abilities and willingness to think through ideas with us (and even suggest their own) as we work to enhance our product and, in turn, our business decisions. Cons A few SiteSeer functions seem a bit outdated in terms of usability. For example, the process to save/name a scenario and the inability to drag a scenario to move it to another folder. It would be nice if this structure mimicked Windows functionality, but in the grand scheme of things it is not a huge drawback for us. We would also love the ability to upload internal files/reports and customize reports within SiteSeer that refer to these documents as well as SiteSeer info to create overall reporting packages. Our business has a lot of different internal processes and we would like to ultimately be able to accomplish a lot of these items via SiteSeer.
