The software does work as a screen recorder.

Pros: After finally figuring out the settings in order to record your desktop, this software works well and is a great value for the money, since it is a free software.

Cons: I had a difficult time to record audio. The video came out well but audio was blank until after learning the settings from several YouTube video tutorials

Streaming to YouTube, Twitch and other services is a breeze.

Pros: Streaming to YouTube, Twitch and other services is a breeze. Entering your service or a custom service is easy and setting up cams and overlays is intuitive.

Cons: It's very heavy on my computer. It seems to bog it down pretty bad, I suggest a powerful computer if streaming with OBS.

Overall: It's the best free option for streaming.

Pros: Easy to install. I use two cameras and the software saw both. I also use a separate microphone while going live.

You can add pre-roll video, graphics overlays, and transitions effects. Music during a still image (which I used before going live, to make sure the stream was stable)

Even if not streaming, you can record as if going live and upload when convenient.

The stream quality is good, and this depends as much on your system and camera as it does the software.

I use this to do Facebook lives to a group as well as Youtube live broadcasts.

After doing live TV back in the day, this reminds me of the old days of Live TV. Except this is in a small software package and not an expensive studio set-up with the need for microwave transmitters.

Cons: It has a pretty steep learning curve. There's plenty of help, but the documentation could be a bit more newbie friendly.

If you are a non-tech savvy person, you might need assistance in getting this up and running.

Overall: It allows me to go live in Facebook without having to PAY another company for the privilege of going live from my desktop or laptop .
