The availability to the general public makes it so there is lots of info if you have questions and a big community to support you. Its so easy to use and gives use the ease to stream and do podcasts. Sometimes obs can act up depending on the update they do, but once they fix it, usually within 24-48 hours, its back to normal. I highly recommend obs software for all your streaming and broadcasting needs. Pros I like obs because it gives you the ease of wanting to broadcast or stream without to much of a hassle. Cons Every once in a while when obs has a software update, it does tend to have a couple of bugs from not working to stuttering for streaming. It has a great selection of filters and audio mixing. I think that the best part about this software is that it is 100% free to download and use! Pros I love that this software is free to use. I love most on how smooth recordings and streams are while using this software. I also love how there are tons of settings you can configure to fit your liking. Cons You may need to have good GPU to run this software. Sometimes, while recording or streaming, OBS would crash and the recording/stream would stop. This kinda good annoying at first. However, when we upgraded our GPU, the software rarely crashed after. My wife got up and running with this software and she uses it quite often. You can record your screen and online meetings in a breeze, and it's a very good tool to have in your software arsenal. I own quite a few screen recording software, like Camtasia, Snagit and Snap, but I love the fact that OBS can handle most of the needs like a champ, and not break, or touch the bank for whoever is looking for a capture solution. I never live streamed, but I just hear good things about OBS on this front. I definitively recommend and promote anyone to try this brilliant piece of tech. Cons The only issue I have is that after recording video and audio, the audio is off sync from the video by a small amount in the output file. It's great that you can do overlays and multiple camera inputs as well as video from your computer. Creating a quality stream with OBS is great since it allows you to do the things the pros do with lower thirds, etc. Cons my chief complaint is that OBS is limited to one streaming destination at a time.
