It has updated and adjusted over the years and proves to be as useful now as it ever was in the past! Pros Evite remains the gold standard in online invitations! It is such a trusted brand and I have loved the evolution of this product! With its ability to manage events and event registration, it has become a staple in my arsenal of event tools! Cons NO cons! Everybody that gets the online invitation from me is able to open it and respond quickly and easily. I haven’t had anyone complain about it, and evite just has really nice templates. Pros I loved that it was free and had lots of invitations to choose from whether it be for birthday parties, holidays, parent teacher, conferences, and school dances. Cons Most of the better invitations are premium and you do have to pay for those, but there are still plenty of free ones, but the nicest are going cost you. Pros I was happy with the ecard options but that's really it. I found the site glitchy and the fact that they don't have any direct customer service is insane. Cons I paid for premium thinking that it would be worth paying something to get more card choices and get a higher level of service. Boy was I wrong. The site was glitchy and I struggled to make my payment as a consequence and now I'm stuck in an impossible loop where the Evite website won't let me pay for more "sends" but I still have more people I need to invite. And now I've invited most of my friends to my big birthday bash and I can't invite the rest. And the worst part is that I can't get any help from Evite. They don't have a phone number, no one answers when I try to do a chat and only occasionally, if I email multiple times, do I get a reply from customer support. It's a nightmare. I use it for birthday parties, children's events, and zoom meetings, and organizational events. Pros I love that I can send a very cute, customizable, professional looking invite to people. I love that it can be for personal use or business use. Cons Sometimes the ads can get overwhelming. Or the hyperlinks can sometimes not go through for easy clicks. But its a minor thing. It's a cheap and effective way to communicate events to clients, friends, and family! I have no reason to switch to something else. Pros This is the app I always use when I host events. It is so easy to use and get invites out to folks who are attending the events we have. The RSVP system is top notch. Cons Tough to design inside the platform. It could do better in report generation and in making the setting a bit easier to navigate. Pros Evite is a good option for sending and collecting event RSVPs. It is pretty easy to use on the creation and sending end. The address book feature is helpful in creating groups as well. Cons Evite really lacks in generating reports and doing anything beyond collecting RSVPs. The reports are not very user-friendly or easy to navigate, and there is not an option for checking people in using the system for larger events management. SO easy to use " July 14, 2025 5.0 Overall, Evite is a great app/website. I think everything is extremely easy to navigate, easy to add guests on the app, and message them! I dislike that you have to pay to use certain features on the website but they are free on the app, so that's nice! Super convenient and way cheaper than purchasing invites/sending them. We have used it for work and personal! Pros I love the convenience most of Evite. You have all your events in one place, it's easy to use the website and the app. You can chat/message with people for your events and RSVP very easily. Cons I have yet to come across anything I dislike about Evite. Maybe that to use the website you have to pay to send invites to people, but on the app you don't. Super weird! Review Source Hillel G. I always get excited when I receive an Evite because I know there is an event coming up, and I can quickly type "Evite" into my Gmail search bar and the emails and information I want pop up, rather than finding an invitation I might have misplaced somewhere. And there have been times when I left my house and realized I do not have the address, and in those moments I do not have the hard copy invitation I can easily look up the details in my email. I love Evite and would recommend this software to anyone who wants a centralized location for all of their event's RSVP's and so that their guests have convenient access to all the details. Pros What I love most about Evite is that it is a fast and efficient way to contact all your guests at once and have a centralized place to view RSVP's. I have gotten invited to many events via Evite, which is convenient for both the hosts and the guests. All of the details for the event are one click away within a link guests receive directly in their email. You even have the option to directly "RSVP Now" or to simply view the invitation once you open the email. Evite even allows hosts to customize their invitations with images they can upload, which makes this online invitation still personal rather than having one boring template for everyone. Evite even has options for the hosts to take a poll or ask a question, for example to see which meal guests would prefer, or to see if anyone has any dietary restrictions, etc. Overall, Evite is extremely user friendly and makes throwing a party or attending a party very easy in terms of making sure everyone is on the same page. Cons What I like least about this software, is that hosts will have to gather and input an extensive list of emails for all of their guests, but that is just part of the "work" hosts have to do in order to host an event and this is still one of the easier ways to invite people (as opposed to mailing each addressed envelope for example). One other "con" about this software is that I get email notifications from every single guest's comment. Sometimes I do not need to know what comments guests leave such as if they are commenting on what meal they want, or why they cannot attend the event. Also, sometimes the layout feels a bit unorganized and requires maneuvering around several pages at times in order to find what details you are looking for. Save the environment by not sending out paper invitations. Online invitations through Evite make everyones lives easier. Pros You can now invite people to events via text message instead of email through Evite. I like the pretty invitations that Evite makes and how the website is so easy to use. I like how you can view the guest list (if the host makes this viewable to other guests) and most importantly, you can easily RSVP to events via Evite. You can add photos after the event onto the same link as the invitation, to share them with other people who attended the event. Under the activity log you can see other people's responses. And if it is a party that you're invited to, you can even send a gift instantly by clicking the "send a gift instantly" link that is attached to the event reminder email. The evite invitation themselves are pretty great; just like regular invitations they have the name, contact info, location, time and date of the event. Cons I don't like that I receive emails from them even when I'm not being invited to an event. However, they do partner with other companies and offer "partner offers" in some of their emails that fill up my mailbox. Review Source DI Deborah I. Pros The ease in setting up events and tracking attendees is jewel of this platform. They offer numerous templates to set up the perfect event. However, it is just too much money for this feature Pros Absolutely LOVE the free features of this software. We have only used paid features for small amounts of time. However, I will say, even with their free service, we are able to create events and have really seen a dramatic increase in attendance with the reminders that Evite sends out! Cons The only thing I don't really like about the software is the ads, companied with the cost to remove those ads. They are in inconvenient spots and take away from the over look. Of course we all think ads look unprofessional on our business event invitations, but $250 per year to remove them is quite excessive for a small company. Reason for choosing Evite We are still going back and forth with Punchbowl. They do have better pricing to get rid of ads. But we like the familiarity with Evite. It has been very easy to organize an event and be well prepared for any event. Pros I like the simplicity of use and that it is free for all users. It is a very effective tool to send invite for events such as birthday, baby showers, concerts, etc. There are lot of options to select the concepts according to the event you choose to invite. I would recommend it to anyone putting together and event and would definitely use it again. Was very helpful in keeping track of everything! Pros I was looking for a quick and easy way to share my event with a large number of guests and did some research into several different websites for the task. I settled on Evite because I like the fair pricing and the options available to me.It was easy to create my invitation, keep track of guests, and send out messages.All-in-all it was a good experience and I would certainly use Evite again! Cons I think that ease of use could be improved on this platform. Most of my guests were somewhat older and some them struggled with the platform, seeing the whole invitation (multiple pages), losing the invitation, etc. Part of the problem is that it isn't completely obvious that there are multiple pages and how to navigate to them. I think a simple greyed out arrow might fix this or giving the option for more customization on the front page. I also accidentally sent out a message when trying to start a new paragraph in my message (I hit enter). Wasn't a big deal, but little details like this are sometimes intuitive to the user. Pros I love using Evite as a way to send more formal, email invitations to events as a college student. If my student organization is hosting an alumni reunion or more upscale gathering, I can easily design formal-looking invitations almost instantly on Evite, and send them out to my email list of guests with just a few more clicks. It is a great way to reduce the paper trail and keep the details of your events organized. Pros I loved that I could create cute invitations without having the tedious task of physically writing out each individual’s mailing address l, placing a stamp on it and sending it through the Postal Service and hoping it would arrive at all, let alone in a timely manner. Guests were able to respond quickly, change responses, and even write a special note without much effort. I could manage the event and keep up with guest responses with very little effort. It's well worth the money in time alone! Pros This is so much easier ( and more cost effective) than paper invites. Plus you have the digital functionality of having RSVP's comments, guests counts, etc. This really is a time saver when trying to organize an event, as well as saving money in not over ordering, since you know quickly who exactly is planning on attending and how many guest they are bringing. Cons There really aren't any issue that I can find with this software. It's relatively straightforward and it does a great job at what it needs to.
