January 18, 2018 4.0 It saved us a lot of development time for creating and parsing EDIFACT files. Pros Handles easily all of EDIFACT parsing and writting process, which would make it otherwise a painstakingly long process to implement. Class properties are properly name following EDIFACT protocol, so it's easy to find your way around the EDIFACT abyss. Cons We are a bit concerned about versioning. We already had to change several parts of our code due to a major version change. Understandably, this was during a license change, which is a major change out of the ordinary, so hopefully it won't happen in the future. I like the factor of keeping and reusing your internal process/solutions for future claim edits. Pros Made it very easy to implement and maintain all EDI information for claims. It kept everything in one easy location. Cons Trying to create custom edits were a little difficult to learn to use. It has saved us hundreds or thousands of hours if we had built our own parsers. Pros Having the ability to parse the EDI files into JSON. Cons The parse to JSON takes 1-2 seconds per file, which I would like to be faster since we're often processing thousands of files. JSON serialization is part of Microsoft's .NET serializers and we have no control over, however, the latest JSON serializer in .NET Core 3 provides much better performance. This would allow users to see the invoices and approve them Pros The most valuable thing this software brought to my development company was the ease of use. I just set up the code and feed it edi files and it gave me back a C# class. I had not dealt with reading EDI files before and it worked perfectly. Cons The only thing I did not like about the product was the price. I did try others that were cheaper but they did not work as good in my option as ediFabric Reason for choosing ediFabric It worked better than the rest of them. Since I was a first time user trying to solve a customer issue it worked great. Senior Software Engineer Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Good Software, terrible support" May 26, 2021 3.0 It was fairly easy to implement and it covered most of everything we needed. However, it took a lot of digging because support is so bad. The main person, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], is very condescending and you have to filter through his sarcastic comments and belittlements to actually get an answer. To top it off, he stopped responding to my requests because he didn't like my email account. We are probably going to use another platform as soon as our subscription runs out and that's a shame because this is a 5 star product if support was even average. Pros It is fairly easy to use but there are quite a few things that would be much easier if support was better. Cons The only problem I had was with tech support. Definitely the worst I have ever had to use. This was frustrating for you, and you tried to hide behind anonymous public emails despite our efforts to get your correct contact details. We don't know your real name to this day. Despite all that, thank you for being a loyal customer and using the product since the start. You've renewed your subscription three years in a row, and I'm glad you decided to stay with EdiFabric instead of going for another platform, as you implied in your review. TJ Tim J. Support was terrible. Product very expensive for what you get. Pros Nothing. The framework is illogical. The principal is very difficult to work with. Cons Support is terrible. Don, the principal is condescending, greedy and refuses to fix basic software bugs. You have been using our product happily without interruption since 2019 for almost five years. So, correct me if I'm wrong, but despite your initial frustration, the product proved valuable and logical and has served you well since the beginning. I agree Don isn't usually perceived as the nicest person and might be a condescending and rude sob sometimes, but he's not a bad guy once you get to know him. Blaine T. Pros This is a very flexible framework that allows you to implement EDI in any way you choose allowing you to integrate into your services in a extensible way. Cons Some of the framework isn't immediately clear as far as usage but the customer support is great! This product is easy to use, easy to integrate, consistent in its patterns, making it easy to implement. Cons There are no problems I have experienced with this product which make it a deal breaker.
