Pros: It's so freaking simple. Because it requires just 2 clicks, it's an easy habit to form. While the insights are fairly simple, sometimes all you want is top-level, at-a-glance data. I love that the data is available for everyone in the org to see. We used to pull up TeamMood every retrospective we held (after a sprint), just to scan for areas of tension or celebration. It's very helpful directionally. (And great for introverts.)

Importantly, their team listens. I once sent a 'meh, why not' type of product feedback and received a personal response from the founder within the day. The dashboard has improved quite a bit, the analytics and design are easy to understand.

While pricing is always subject to change. We've had TM for nearly 2 years with no reason to let it go.

Cons: a) While it's easy to form a habit, it's easy to break, too. (I'm guilty of this.) When people forget, the data isn't as insightful when looking back for trends. An integration with Slack may help with a team like ours, though other apps do that already. b) As a small, co-located team of 10, we generally know how folks are feeling. This tool validates it. As more and more of us work remote (partially or fully), I think this will be a more important tool.

Overall: Visibility into the emotional health of my team. And because it's not a manager-only dashboard, everyone gets that benefit, too. It serves as a pulse check, either validating what we know or giving helpful cues to think about what causes a change. While the core benefit is bringing first-person, quantifiable measurement to your team's mood, the qualitative insights (comments) give the context needed to move past assumptions (like, why was this a better/worse day than others, and how do we more/less of that thing).

A Superbly simple yet very effective tool, I always enourage people to use it.

Pros: Agile Principle #10 - Simplicity - Maximise the amount of work not done. Beautifully illustrated in this tool, a very simple tool to work with, but provides very sophisticated insights into your teams mood over a sprint / PI / Project / Year etc. etc. Great to use in Retros and Inspect and Adapt sessions to deal with any long running issues and to get team members to engage in these ceremonies

Cons: I'm really scratching around to find a Con, the only caveat I would say is if you do not act on the information this tool gives you then you will find despite its simplicity people will stop using it , but again thats not the fault of the Team Mood.

Overall: Useful insights in to how the team mood changes over time, great for retros to tease out any impediments or unlying issues from the teams

Pros: Simple user interface, easy to set up and administer, reporting, graphs, optional anonymity, exporting results. Nudge rather than intrusion. Clear pricing structure with volume discounts. Single use app with API to integrate with other business tools.

Cons: * Note: the last time I used it was in spring '16 so things have probably progressed *

Lack of social login / SSO with major platforms.

Overall: View of teams' feelings during period of organisational restructure. We used it across five teams from 7-60 people and were able to spot trends highlighting weaknesses in leadership and communication. Brits are far more candid when providing anonymous feedback and commentary about their feelings. To avoid singling out individuals we agreed (based on advice from developer) to have teams no smaller than 7 people. Where that was the case we merged at least two teams and levelled up in management.

The main mistake was not to push it through right channels across the enterprise (1500 people) and integrate with other mental health tools under one dashboard. Perhaps next time...

This is an incredibly useful tool for us with multiple teams, I highly recommend its use

Pros: Gives good insights into the teams mood over a period of time, the Analytics are good but you can extend them using the RESTful API to use in other BI tools and dashboards. It is also very useful for use in Retrospectives as a conversation starter. i.e. I notice the team mood has been decreasing in the past couple of sprints what is causing the downturn and what can we do to get back to our happy place.

Cons: don't seem to be able to delete team members just disable them, would be handy to be able to transfer people between teams rather than configure them twice and disable them in one team and enable them in another but this is a minor complaint.

Overall: The ability to spot trends when the team mood starts to drop or increase and taking appropriate actions, the fact that it is anonymous is also really good as it allows the teams to be able to be truly honest about how their day went. I love this tool, so simple but so effective. The comments section can also lead to some amusing posts .

Pros: Very easy to put in place, user friendly and with very strict limitations that guaranty the privacy of the users.

Cons: Perhaps, I can mention some limitations on backend features (on the admin side) but it is real because this field is required.

Overall: This tool helps me daily on feeling the mood of my teams. These teams are geographically dispatched and it's very hard to see how people are feeling on the remote.

Thanks to TeamMood, I've been able to solve issues before they became important.

On the other hand, sometimes you think that a team is in trouble and it is not the case.

The good thing is also that the creator of TeamMood is very strict on the feature he implements on it and this ensures that it won't deviate from its original spirit.

Pros: This is a tool that anyone can figure out. I like that the responses are anonymous, which encourages honestly. It's simple and accomplishes exactly what it claims. It's a great way to keep a pulse on something that is difficult to gauge - employee happiness.

It takes less than five seconds out of my day and I can rate my day in an email (where I live anyway) without even going to the website.

Cons: I don't have any complaints about this software.

Overall: We have used this tool to identify negative feelings/challenges when they are in their infancy, before they have bubbled up. Although we don't know exactly who it's coming from, it's a sign that there are issues brewing. It's also a way to gauge how a negative experience at your organization is really impacting employees, versus your perception of that impact.

The biggest challenge is that not everyone has the same definition of what an "excellent" versus "good" day is, so it helps to set some guidelines around those definitions.

Pros: I liked the easy and simple UI. There was not a single learning curve to it as everything was straightforward and simple. I love the analytics or the charts that can be pulled up to link moods to perhaps a time that the company went through many changes, etc.

Cons: I want to be able to reply to my teammates' comments anonymously. Maybe the reason this is unavailable is due to not displaying anything that brings down someone's comment but we're a good group here that wouldn't do that. I think it would just bring more morale building to the platform.

Overall: Overall, I love TeamMood and I'm pretty sure my whole team does too. We've even incorporated TeamMood as one of our team's OKRs to improve this quarter. This makes us think of ways to help the team's mood.

Pros: I enjoy being able to see and track the mood of my team so I may more easily communicate with them and understand the mindset they might be in during the day.

Cons: The verification process is cumbersome and often times will lead me to closing out of Team Mood and not utilizing it for the day. Clicking on the pictures to verify that I am not a robot makes the task difficult if my understanding of a street light and the systems understanding of a street light are not in sync. Multiple tries and multiple fails causes me to not want to use the system anymore. I don't know if it is a Company thing or a Team Mood thing, but it needs to be addressed so that other users can use the Software as intended.

Pros: What I like most about TeamMood is its seamless non-intrusive way of capturing team feedback: It requires you to reply to one simple email everyday. You make two clicks and in 10 seconds you are set! The users is immediately rewarded with an insightful visualisation of his team's overall mood as well as its pogression over time.

Cons: I am really happy with the tool as it is right now. The analytics page might need a little revamp and stats beyond the average mood could be a great add on.

Overall: Thanks to TeamMood I gained interesting insights into our team's dynamics. I can pinpout hard times and joyful moments of individual colleagues and of our team as a whole. With TeamMood we have a now a mean to reflect upon our wellbeing at ekito.

Pros: Simple to use, can have some fun with the comments, great to gather insights into a teams mood over time, easy to use API for extracting Data, great responsive support, cost effective, I love this tool...

Cons: Not really a con, but it would be good to be able to aggregate the metrics from teamsfor say something like a release train

Overall: I've used this tool for many years and it has always proved really useful, either part of a retrospective or just to get a great insight into the teams mood over time and for spotting patterns when the mood dips and what causes that.

Pros: Very user friendly interface with interesting analytics. I appreciate the anonymity and it has been a very engaging forum for the employees to think about how they are doing and see how the team as a whole is doing.

Cons: I would like more in depth analytics that help from a management perspective (i.e. time of day and day or week indicators of mood, as well as basic demographic tracking to make sure all employees have a positive work experience. I also think it would be beneficial for there to be a way to input needs or a "suggestion box" that would go to admins.

Overall: Really enjoy the product! TeamMood brings my team together and helps us check in with ourselves and our coworkers.

Pros: The ease of use, the daily email reminder to engage my mood and see my fellow colleagues. I love how you can add links and comments so others can share funny memes or gifs. We take it lightly but also use it to see trends in overall good and bad weeks and see if there are any patterns.

Cons: I would like there to be an embedded comment option for images or gifs. Mood is dynamic and sometimes best described by pictures, videos, gifs, memes - not just a smiley face or a few words.

Overall: Fantastic - we have had excellent support and transparency with TeamMood. We recommend it highly to all in our company - we have seen great results using it within our team.

After looking for the best solution in an area with a lot of alternatives TeamMood was the best.

Pros: The ease of use is the biggest pro. Everyone knows how to use it. Rating your day everyday becomes a habit and sort of addictive as well.

Cons: Could use more features to analyze trends and mood over the longer term. Export feature would be helpful as well. The daily mail might benefit a quote/picture of the day. Slack integration would be cool as well.

Overall: Gain a much better understanding of my colleagues and their mood.

Pros: Easy and painless way for users to report on their day, view how others rater their days, and how it compares to an average day for the team. From a management perspective, this is a great way to keep a pulse on the team's health and overall sentiment.

Pros: This is a simple and quick efficiency and productivity tool for use with Iteration Managers/Managers.

It is anonymous and optional which allows people to be more sincere about their feelings.

It is an AGILE best practice- a mood marble tool that helps to assess the mood of a team easily so that problems can be identified and addressed early. The analytics are a tool for the team for continuous improvement.

Cons: Overall - None.

Only one small thing, I remember when I first started to leverage the tool is, at sign on, I have to move off from the landing page into the Team settings on the upper right hand corner of the Tool.

Overall: I find it beneficial that I can aggregate mood input & mood trends for my squad automatically. It helps to oversee when it is time to celebrate and identify problems, if any, early. Then during retrospective with the team we can celebrate! or discuss and understand more what is causing the poor morale.

The tool is very easy to use and funny.

Pros: It's easy to use and easy to manage team settings. The different views, diagram and chart are really useful. Being able to add tags to people enable us to see the mood of a single team as well as the whole department. Thanks

Cons: It will be nice to attach a comment of a specific day. For example, mark this day as a celebration day ou a big bug bash day. So when we look the stats, we can explain why people were really happy, or sad, this day.

Overall: Overview of the entire department mood, spot unhappy teams and to talk with them to know why and take action.

As a leader who cares about your team this is a great tool to understand them and help them improve.

Pros: It highlights issues your team may be having. It can give you good indications of days they may be more impacted as it can clearly show you a trend.

Cons: Be able to export the graphs not only the data. I have to generate the graphs manually and it's a bit inconvenient.

Overall: A richer conversation with my teams where we can transparently discuss issues and how collectively improve things for us.

Great tool to understand what's going on in your team. Gives insights you would never have without!

Cons: There isn't much wrong with this software. The only problem is that it is a paid service and sometimes difficult to convince traditional managers to invest in "soft metrics".

Pros: Simplicity, availability, fun. We can mix team. The tags are very useful, and the team takes fune to contribute every days. Statistic are very important for our retrospectives. The best feature for us are the comments which are so fun and useful to explain retrospectively sometimes.

Pros: It's easy to use and it's pretty neat to see the team members actually using the comments as another way to share and communicate.

Cons: Reporting still needs a bit of work. In an enterprise environment where your stuck with an old version of IE there are some features that just don't work as nice as with a good browser.

Overall: insights into how people are feeling. Gives me the opportunity to spot an engagement issue and talk things out with team members before things get out of hand.

Pros: Gives the team a very quick and easy to access snapshot of the teams mood - where are we doing well, and where might we need to pay some attention.

Cons: Some of the analytics are limited, but being improved. Team Mood seem very open to working with you.

Pros: Fills a gap for my KPI, where team mood is a great factor for success. It is visual, it has an API for my KPI use. The team also likes it as they know their boss cares about their well being.

Cons: Somehow, and while it is easy to use, user engagement is not so easy to get. Out of 10 people, I have maybe half that do regularly, and the others not. I also think that somehow, spam filters do catch quite a few emails.

Pros: First, the simplicity of the integration. You just need to add the email of your team to use the soft. Then, it is very easy to use. You just need one click per day. Finally, the fact that it is user oriented and not company oriented. That's pretty new!

Cons: The design of the daily email could be improved. Otherwise, the email could be more attractive and dynamic.

Pros: It is very useful for agile teams!

This application is easy to handle.

Overall: A better understanding of the mood and feeling of teams on a daily basis. Understand if there are recrurent phases that are more difficult for the teams.

Pros: I liked the ease of use and the daily email. The anonymity is nice also when reporting mood and the ability to give context around the mood.

Cons: I liked mostly everything about this software. The only complaint would be there was once a free app and now I find it hard to justify the cost to be my manager. Also a nice feature to add would be the ability for the adminstrator to add notes to the diff days. For instance July 10 - (release happened that took long) or team found and solved a hard defect!

Pros: It was an easy way to track how my colleagues were feeling, and provided a general idea of how my team and department were feeling. The anonymity helps people express their feelings more easily, it seems.

Cons: The fact that the notification to fill out the mood came after I had left work, but that is not on the software itself but our configuration.

Overall: It really helps me know if my team mates are feeling okay, and gives us a way to communicate if we had a bad day without forcing us to talk about it. Plus, if someone does something nice for someone else, it'll usually be mentioned in that person's mood that day. Finally, it definitely proved people are happier when dogs visit the office!

Pros: It is a very easy to use tool to keep anonymously track of the mood of all team members. You receive an email every day in which you have to choose your mood. You can add some remark. You are very quickly and continue with your work.

Cons: The interface is very basic, but gets the job done. Maybe some more analytics could be added, like average mood per day of the week, so you could see if there is some pattern emerging.

Overall: The software is giving a lot of insight into your team. The major problem is keeping the team members engaged and make sure they update it every day. Especially on busy days people tend to skip... I still need to find a way to solve this.

Pros: Supports a greater awareness of how people are feeling and creates conversations amongst teams. The software is easy to use so people don't have to think "how do I use this". Is a great enabler for conversations both peer to peer and with leaders. A positive engagement and cultural tool. Customer service is great.

Pros: It's easy to use, sends you an e-mail reminder to assign your mood every day and is anonymous.

Cons: As I used only my own, it was very controlled atmosphere, so not how to review this item.

Overall: I have enjoy very much the tool, by looking the graphic and comparing with week feeling, gives clues to understand what happens. My impression, it should be very useful for understanding and act over projects / operations teams.

Pros: Easy to use, little effort for the team members to enter their sentiment for the day, and to add comments if required. Reporting tool is great.

We periodically go through the comments, and have a great time identifying who has written what. Fun team exercise.

Cons: The team like using it, so we can't think of anything at this point in time that could improve the tool.

Overall: Get an insight in the team's happiness. If the mood drops, you can investigate the causes. A happy team is a productive team. Team Mood helps with that.

Pros: Teammood provides a quick and simple forum for members of the team to show how well, or otherwise, they're coping with their day to day tasks. It only takes a few seconds for them to have their say, and declaring their status uses tools (clicking a radio button in a web browser, adding a voluntary comment) they're comfortable with using.

Overall: I get an indication of how comfortable the team are with their workload and stress levels, as well as giving the team a quick means of voicing any concerns.

Pros: Easy to use, can sent up notifications to have email reminder for employees to express mood of the day

Cons: can take some time to update. For example if i submit my mood, i do not see it until later. By then i do not come back to look at the moods for the day, I just look at it the next day.

Overall: good, would like moods to appear faster

Pros: Comments are very appreciated within my team, we use them as "highlights" to illustrate our daily mood. Statistical reports are easy to analyse with nice colors and presentation . Online chats are great if you need some help.

Cons: Some minor functionalities are not Internet Explorer compliant , that is the only "bad" point of this tool.

Pros: I love that you can see how you and your team feel on a weekly/monthly basis and adjust as needed. Its amazing as you forget sometimes how hard or fun a week or two weeks ago was.

Pros: The best thing about Teammood is the well prepared analytics part. " Moods Distribution By Day" is my perfect helper to react quite fast if something in the team went wrong.

Cons: It is quite hard to check who didn't fill his or her daily mood in. So you need to look who wrote when his or her last mood and when he or she should wrote one.
