Datawrapper offers more features to customize charts, but there is a learning curve. Pros Datawrapper offers a way to generate polished maps, charts and graphs with little to no programming knowledge. Cons There is a learning curve, especially when it comes to making maps. You have to know at least a little programming to make sense of the options and troubleshooting a mistake can be very clunky. Switched from [Flourish](https://www.capterra.com/p/213241/Flourish/) Datawrapper has better mapping capabilities. The templates it offers look way better than anything on Flourish. Our company wanted to have an interactive map that was broken down by county in the Northwest United States. The products we were looking into would have required us to upload our own maps which would have been very difficult and costly. When I discovered Datawrapper had built-in maps by county I was ecstatic! There were so many map options to choose from and it was so easy to import data and color it. Pros Datawrapper was super straight forward. I just jumped right in and started working. It made easy work of some fairly complex data. In just about every step of the process, I was amazed at how much of our data it could handle. There were features I was ready to write-off as non-existent across the board but Datawrapper just kept on exceeding my expectations. Cons The only tricky part was color coding our map. Having a tiny slider with color options is very simple and good for heat map type projects but we had several categories we wanted to highlight in our map so adjusting the colors took some patience.
