Pros: All the page designs are very attractive but not that easy to use. Also, a lot of work can be exported and imported back via excel.
Cons: Setting up SchoolTool for the first time, end of year setup, exam setup etc. are very complex and it only runs on Linux.
Overall: Suits for school with poor or no internet connectivity. But the free version doesn't give you a lot. We have worked with SchoolTool to customised and add new features that is open for everyone but that didn't work well.
Pros: As a school based occupational therapist I enjoy being able to use school tool to access essential information regarding the students on my caseload (home room teacher, parent contact information, etc). I also appreciate that I can easily see which kids are absent/late arrival etc. Also if I were to contact a parent it easily links the parents email address to my email.
Cons: The school I work at has a 4 day cycle - this doesn't seem to register on this website, which would be nice to confirm on. It often states that it is "day 8" or another number that is incorrect on the heading. Other than that I have no significant complaints.
