The format is easy to use and easy to set up. It makes it easy to have your customers leave a review and has enhanced our business.

Cons

It can be difficult to get your team thinking about the importance of online reviews. Not a problem with the platform, but still a hurdle to overcome

They have amazing customer service and training sessions for businesses starting out, great customization and options for all types, and helpful with seeing the progress from the client's view.

Pros

This allows you to send review requests directly to customers and clients from within the app, taking them to exactly where the review should be posted. Takes the hassle out of requesting reviews, and it also can be beneficial by collecting all reviews for the business to see overall. Customizable to the business's wants and needs as well.

Cons

There are daily notifications, even if there is no change in actual happenstance on the site. There also can be user interface learning curve, which can take longer for others.

Set up and add-ons are easy. But I hadn't so much great experience to use this tool.

The use of ease. Sending Google review requests directly to customers via SMS was amazing.

Cons

Offen Customers have reported that the link that we send through the podium is sometimes unable to open.

Horrible.

Pros

I liked what they sold me, which is not what you get.

Cons

That they offer zero customer service. Their business plan is to time close you to get you to sign up and once you do, they ignore you. I have been paying for it for 6 months, and no one will help us. I finally went to social media to complain, and that's when someone got back to us. He said that if we let him train us, he would concurrently work on getting us out of our contract. He has not responded to me for a week. They LIE.

Pros

The review invite and it's simplicity have helped increase patient reviews. The inbox is easy to manage

Cons

If we enter a contacts phone number incorrectly, it can't be edited...only the name. That is annoying. The biggest issue and disappointment is we feel mislead as we were told when sold the software that it would integrate with our CMS system only to find out it doesn't and there has been no attempt to rectify this. In fact I was told to contact Symplast myself. I don't understand why I as the customer should be doing the leg work on this.

Reason for choosing Podium

It was a close competition, but ultimately chose podium because it looked a tad more user friendly then birdeye. I will be finding out if birdeye integrates with our CMS and if it does we will switch when our contract is up.

Pros

Podium is very easy to use. Initially we purchased it to collect on-line reviews. They have added so many features we now use it to text guest’s about a purchase and also collect down payment on credit cards. Their system integrates with our retail software.

Cons

Always learning. We just have to take the time to read about new features

It's been okay for the most part. The integration was very long and drawn out when we thought it was going to be very straight forward, and the software has been pretty inconsistent since we added additional locations. For example, the automation just stops working for no reason and takes weeks to get going again. Very frustrating.

Pros

Ease of responding to reviews - it's streamlined and pretty straightforward. It is a bit confusing how reviews and messages appear in various areas of the platform, however.

Cons

Very inconsistent - seems to not work more often than it works.

This software is easy to use and makes responding to our Customer reviews and Facebook messages extremely easy. We have everything in one platform instead of having to go to multiple platforms!

Nothing as of yet. Introduction to the platform was easy and our users had no issues.

Wish the notes section allowed for some notes to be visible to customer just in case it’s shared notes. Wish we could include pictures in our private notes section too like a picture of a receipt associated with a customer’s thread. Also when I get out of someone’s message, it always scrolls all the way back to the topic. Sometimes I want to keep scrolling down and click on a thread, but be able to get out of thread and keep scrolling down from there, not have it refresh and take me all the way back to the top.

Pros

Allows a landline to get text messages.

Cons

I can’t add pictures in the notes section.

Podium has boosted our ability to meet our patients' needs and allowed us to expand our reach into new markets. Our interoffice communication has been improved as well.

Pros

I really like to text. My patients love the convenience of texting and I had always dreaded using my own phone to communicate with them. Podium offers me peace of mind and a simple way to "talk" to my patients. It has also allowed us to grow our reviews on Facebook and Google like nothing we have tried in the past. It has been a very intuitive and easy to use. Support was quick and helpful when I needed it.

Cons

In the many months that we have used it, I have not found anything that I don't like.

Customers love to text us when they have problems today using the Podium text feture .

Pros

Great software program to get reviews with, easy to use. Have had the program for 2 years now and we find it easy and also use it for messaging our customers. Nothing could compair with the number of reviews we get today. It has taken use from single digit reviews into the hundreds.

Cons

Set-up was easy however it took use a while to get everyone to use the program as intended. Took a little while to set-up.

### "Not Pleased w/ Podium"

Who can I speak to regarding Podium support type questions? I don’t feel that it is working like it should. I don't feel the program is working like it should, at least I hope not. :( Examples: 1. The system shows requests are being sent. However, clients tell me they have never seen a request. I manually sent one yesterday and the client said they never received anything. (I asked the client to let me know when it was received) 2. At least 2 clients have told me when they did receive the link, they clicked on link and it spun for 15 minutes. 3. A third told me their computer locked up and they had to reboot. (They are concerned about a virus and are leery to help). 4. A client told me last evening they completed the review and I never received anything (client was my best friend-\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]) Not sure where the review went. Finally, when are reviews supposed to go out? Some are between closing and funded others at funded. It would be nice to be consistent so I can alert clients to watch for the review request. Would it make sense to turn off auto send (if even possible) and I send at funding? I’m having great experiences with clients on loans but not able to reap the benefit thru reviews.

The problem is that once you sign the contract, even if it is in the hallway at the Vegas Market, even if you thought Three-Forty-Five meant $3.45/month not $345/month, they are not letting you out of the contract. Period. There is no 3-month window where you can opt out if it's not for you unless you demand one up front. The messaging features are completely redundant to what we already had on various platforms. And if you want to research Podium, you really can't. There are no reviews allowed on their website. There are no Google reviews allowed. The only reviews you will find are on their FB page. Again, this company is all about MONEY. They want you to sign on the dotted line, and once you do, nothing will change their mind when it comes to the fact that the software is going to do NOTHING to increase business or up the number of reviews. ZERO reviews generated. If it were up to me, I would get all the software off our machines and platforms, change credit cards, and let them sue us.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. It has been a giant ongoing pain to install. The hours my business partner has spent on the phone installing is ridiculous.

Cons

Takes forever to install. The messaging icon is particularly annoying when I bring up our website on my mobile phone. New visitors are assaulted right off the bat with a bubble message exhorting them to write up, which takes up the bottom of the screen. You can't just swipe it off either. To close it, you have to hit the icon, which takes you to a separate page. If this happened to me on a website, I would leave immediately.

Podium has been a great tool for our office.

Pros

The best feature is being able to have our customers send us documents through podium instead of using email. It's convenient to our customers who are on the go and who need to send us documents right away.

Cons

I don't think I've seen the feature where we can set up a group text between office employees. Also it would great to see a feature that allows us to send a mass text our to our clients when their is an emergency shut down, office hours have changed and or any updated information that we need to share with our clients quickly.

Overall, our switch to podium was beyond our expectations and has accomplished exactly what we needed.

Pros

Podium is not only great for intrabusiness communication, but also for collecting reviews from clients. Very easy accessibility for sending clients review texts.

Cons

The interface can be a tad confusing to work around initially, but becomes a breeze after a short amount of time.

I work in parts and service, so I don't always see all of the podium requests. When the owner assigns me a specific inquiry, i also get it in my email. Setting up Podium was a bit of a challenge when we first got it, but customer support was fabulous.

Pros

One of the things I like using on Podium is that it is also linked to my email. So if the owner wants me to look at a specific message, he can assign it to me and i get alerted about it.

Cons

I wish there was a few additional features that went along with it.

Pros

Easy to use. Love the ability to assign conversations to me so I can seamlessly start answering questions and making appts with customers

Cons

Seems impossible to label and categorize open and closed conversations. My list always shows every conversation. Wish it looked like a typical inbox or text app with new messages marked as unread and read messages clearly marked

Pros

Great service that has allowed us to get many reviews when we found it hard to get them. The service is straightforward and easy to use and customers seem to like it too. They are always updating their website and makes things easier to use. If you want more reviews then use Podium!!!

Cons

I have not found anything that I do not like about this product. The only thing that could be better would be if they could offer a link to yelp.
