Having such a great tool on my Linux machine is very assuring that I can get my job done with highest quality possible. Pros The most important factor for me in regards to Rider is the fact that it has the super awesome Resharper built in which makes refactoring the code nice, easy and very intuitive. Rider has supported 64 bit processors from beginning and that has made it very responsive. Another great deciding factor about Rider is it's cross platform support. I've been searching for a Visual Studio alternative for some time and while I appreciate the existence and features of Visual Studio Code, I can confidently say that Rider is without a doubt way ahead in terms of features, reliability, performance and innovation. In terms of code analysis, code clean up and refactoring, debugging, speed of build and being feature rich I would happily choose Rider over alternatives. It's more mature and with every iteration and new version it gets even better. The team behind Rider address issues pretty fast which is another reason why it's very reliable. Cons I wish there was also a community version for Rider even though I understand that the team behind Rider need to have a source of income. I also wish there was a lifetime license that would allow you to receive updates forever.
