" April 16, 2018 5.0 Easy and quick image creation from anywhere for my social media needs Pros It's easy to use, lots of photos to use for the projects you are making and my absolute favourite feature is the text outline and text background that stretches across whole image. You can also do auto watermarking which makes it so much easier to watermark everything for internet use. Cons The templates are not as professional looking as many other programs like this. I am not a very techy person and have been able to figure out the whole process on my own. I also love that the image and icon library is so huge and that they have added a WP plugin! I also create images for my clients. The licensing is excellent that way and saves me a ton of time, effort and money. Pros It's so easy to create and edit the various picture types and sizes for our content creation business. The picture and icon libraries are extensive, so if we don't have the relevant personal image, there's always something to choose from. It saves us a ton of time and effort. Cons Nothing. Director Design Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Fun, fast, thoughtfully designed image creator for social media" September 13, 2019 5.0 Pleasantly surprised at the speed and ease of use for this clean-looking hobbyist app. Pros The webapp is fast and I was creating new images for social media in about 30 seconds. Everything in the interface responds instantly. I like the convenient dropdown menu to keep track of all changes. Command-Z to undo works, too. Doesn't always in apps like these. Decent selection of Google Fonts, although not all of them. Every save creates a new image so there's no danger of overwriting something you've created. Cons Free tier is geared too much toward upsells. Sure, I understand limiting the number images but limited Google Fonts when Google Fonts are free. That's a weird decision. Obviously using commercial fonts should require an upgrade but restricting Google Fonts just seems stingy. Pricey monthly subscriptions for an app that doesn't seem essential. Review Source Mayo L. Stencil provides you with tons of stock images, support for google fonts, image size presets, and everything else to make the process as painless as possible. Cons It's limited to image creation process only. With stiff competition from similar tools, it would be nice if Stencil includes a built-in scheduling tool instead of relying on an external one. April 18, 2019 5.0 Quick and easy graphics creation: Stencil does this. I'm happy I got this way back when, and happy to still be using it today. Pros Stencil is very easy to use and is intuitive, even for non-techy people and believe me, that's a huge plus. It's a simple graphic creation tool and that's what I like about it. It may not have a ton of bells and whistles, but bells and whistles usually also add difficulty. It lets me upload images and fonts, and create my own layouts and designs to use over and over. That's good enough for me. Cons Really the only thing I've found to be somewhat of a con is that you can't sort or categorize your creations. Whenever I need a real quick solution for my social media image needs, I turn to Stencil. Maybe in the future they will be able to handle vectors as well, since they already have icons in place, who knows the possibilities for Stencil! Get Stencil! Pros Being a designer, I was hesitant to buy Stencil Unlimited, but after further digging, I finally did and never looked back. It is the fastest editor to churn out Social Media images like a factory! Quotes feature come in very handy. This together with Photos, Icons, and Filters all make life so easy for a social media manager! Cons Maybe the cons about using an online image editor is when your internet connection is extremely slow and unreliable. I was working in my regular office and internet connectivity was really bogged down so I had to do several refreshes before being able to save my images. I can do so much more with Stencil than with my go-tos in the past. Pros I love that essentially all of the features of Stencil are included and there are no hidden fees. You 100% get what you paid for. I like having separate areas for logos, commonly used images and other uploads. Love the ability to save most used and common image sizes personal to me and my company. Love that the templates are rotated through and changed up very often are relevant and seasonal. Includes many editing options to personalize the image. You can save and download the edited image in multiple size file options. Pros I love its ease of use the most, not to mention its extremely rich image stock. I can also quickly add some emojis to my designs when I find it appropriate. One of my favorite features is the integrated stock of quotes. Cons Editing is a bit limited but that's a rather minor con. I guess it's the price of being able to create things fast. So, as a solopreneur, who needs to make posts, site images, pdf´s, etc, this is the tool I use the most. Just because it easy,quick, and library. Cons The only thing missing in stencil, is that to post directly is with buffer, which sucks, if the could connect directly with other tools, such as content studio, social bee or other, and post directly it would be far out everything else, and perfect. Pros I LOVE how simple it is to make images with the same image quickly!
