Janice: Hi, I'm Janice. I'm an owner. And my rating for PixTeller is three out of five. For more views like this, just click below. So before I had PixTeller, I was using Canva, and Canva was tricky because I'm actually a bootstrapped company. So I like things as value for money and then get the best bang for your buck. So Canva was pretty pricey for me as a small company. And so PixTeller offered like better value for money in terms of Canva. PixTeller, first of all, it has a great range of images and you don't have to filter them. So unlike some other software, you have to put to them, you have to see which is premium and which is free and PixTeller you can just access all of them, all the free images. That's great. Secondly, the font, you can customize them. So there are specific filters you can play around with. So if you're a designer, you would like to have a certain look and feel the brand. So PixTeller allows you to have great color, great inks for your text images, which is great. And you'd like to play shapes. They have over like 100,000 of shapes to play with as well. This is really awesome. And the last thing I like about it was, you're able to upload your own font. So if you like a certain type of font, you can just upload to the font library and that helps you to get the certain look and feel as well of your brand. It's really intuitive and simple to use. So if you're not like a graphic designer, I would say you can start using PixTeller in just a few minutes or so, which is really awesome. Its great user interface is really seamless and fast-free. So anyone can pick it up. Its really easy to use. The reason I gave it a three out of a five was because of the customer support and the services thereafter. So sometimes the software gets a bit buggy or leggy. And I think that's due to the amount of, I guess, price you pay for the software. So while it's great, you get a budget value for money software. It's important to consider the amount of support you need as well. So that's one thing, customer support. And second thing I think is just consider a range of services you like. So I think PixTeller offers you customization in terms of color gradients, your specific font you want to choose, and yeah, and other thing would be budget like if you're a small company like I am and you're very conscientious about where you spend your money on. So that's a few things I would consider.

“The best tool i ever used”

Overall: I have all the banners i need in cloud and it speeds up my workflow. Plus i can generate short videos for my facebook campaigns and the CTR is far bigger than a usual static image.

Pros: What i like most is that i can create small videos very easy in browser. They have a very large library of banners and this is very important for me. I can choose a template and in a few clicks i can create my own unique banner.

Cons: So far i do not have any issues. All works smoothly.

“Very simple to use image animator ”

Overall: PixTeller is the kind of online image editor that really shines because of it's animation feature. It uses a system similar to Video editors KeyFrames, where you select a keyframe, make a modification and then the image will animate to that modification automatically. So this means it gives you a very wide range of abilities in a very simple and easy to use format. If you've edited videos in the past in tools like Premiere, then you're probably good to go with this one. Very similar, very intuitive and easy to use in that regard.

Pros: The output feature is great - you can either gen an MP4 or a GIF (very useful!). They have many templates to choose from, not all great looking in my "design snob" opinion, but a very large amount to get you started with almost anything. The "animate" feature is what it's known for as it uses the Keyframe system, which makes animations very customizable. It does have a "Smart Resize" option, but it's only decent, as many times it just makes elements too small in the composition.

Cons: Rendering seems very slow even for small projects, and it seems it's using my computer resources, which is pretty good at rendering when rendering videos made with local machine software. I suspect this high render time is because it probably renders all different variants at once, because when I go to download, I can select anything format I want, any speed/length and any size I want and I can download it quickly. But it is pretty annoying and prohibits me from trying to render using more fragile computers or a tablet. The image editing part is pretty simple: just add background, images, shapes, lines and text - nothing different from the competition, nothing innovative. Maybe with some projects you need to edit somewhere else then put the image in Pixteller for animation.

Switched From: VistaCreate, Canva and Pixelied

Reasons for Switching to PixTeller: Pixteller is the best to create animations, in my opinion. And it's not so different from the competition in the image editing part either.

“It may be good at the beginning, but after a while you see that template are monotonously alike ”

Overall: The biggest limit is the low variety of templates, but at the beginning when you launch a project you can do a number of good quality works for your client or yourself. So it's in a way a good way to start off by providing something different than most of the editors out there.

Pros: - Editing tools are doing their job, even though they are fairly simple - It has many time saving functionalities like replacing images that are set to a specific place, or format a photo or text in a given way - Some of the templates are nice

Cons: - Browsing templates is boring, because there actually is a hundred or so of them, but modified and recolored in thousands of way, so you see basically the same thing, but with small differences. - When you insert images to some small elements, cirles / squares / etc. the quality gets ridiculously low, way too low to make the image usable - Sometimes I see better colors and better quality in the preview than after downloading the file - The updates that they do to the system seem to improve the things that are insignificant.

Hi Artur and thank you for your honest review. We made a big update last week to the PixTeller Editor and Platform ... for sure we are not perfect yet but we will be. The biggest problem you mentioned in your review is the lack of templates and the quality of them. In the last 6-12 months we focused on this and we launched a system that will create designs by it self. It need some calibration but for sure at the end of February 2018 you can see the first results.

“Great Introductory Product for A Novice”

“Highly Versatile”

Overall: PixTeller has made the graphic design portion of my website building business much easier. I'm no artist, so I need all the help I can get.

Pros: PixTeller does it's job as a graphic design package for web projects very well. One can get just about everything needed for small to medium website projects right in there. It's not PhotoShop, but who needs to learn that monster if they don't need to? PixTeller is drag-and-drop easy to use. In fact, I use it for all kinds of design projects. I just helped my son with a school project and PixTeller was my go-to. I love this software. It does what I need it to do.

Cons: Some of the settings, particularly as one gets into the more fine-grained can be a bit clumsy. However, the depth of the functionality helps one get past this.

Alternatives Considered: Canva

Reasons for Choosing PixTeller: Price.

Switched From: Canva

Reasons for Switching to PixTeller: Canva cost more than I was comfortable with at the time, so I gave PixTeller a try and stayed.
