Overall our experience is great. We really enjoy the different platforms they have to offer, like time and attendance, onboarding, attract and hire. These things really come together to make our employee experience great. These have also saved us tons of time.

Pros

I love that their customer service teams are very quick to help when we run into any issues. They've also been great at scheduling monthly meetings to help us with any issues that have come up, or even just helping to simplify our current processes.

Cons

We are finding out that there are a lot of features within Isolved that we have access to, but they aren't actually turned on. It would just be nice to know what all of those things are, so that we can be using it to its full potential.

I didn't have a great experience I involved sales rep, sales team, customer service, and even the folks that are at events to see if they can help me and still nothing has been resolved.

Pros

Not really anything. The training and customer service wasn't the best. I was very disappointed. I am still waiting for answers to my questions (1 is 3 months old).

Cons

Outdated and not very organized. The system doesn't flow nor do I have the ability to see the progress of new hires. It isn't very transparent nor a full encompassed platform.

Overall, we appreciate isolved's enhancements over the last year. We wish things were tested and thought out in more detail. We also wish they were more proactive with compliance like OBBBA, Secure 2.0, etc.

Pros

Very robust software with lots of features and options. The teams we work with are very supportive and attentive.

Cons

Bugs in almost every release. Testing needs to be better to ensure fewer rollbacks of items that are needed/promised. Need better support for isolved benefit services products.

We love isolved and would not dream of changing. Our company is hoping to add Live and Learn soon so that our employees are able to easily take training classes.

Pros

isolved is very user friendly! They are constantly working to bring in new features and updates for features that are already in use. We have been able to go completely paperless using isolved. We have cut our payroll processing time in half. HR onboarding is now effortless because of isolved. The cost is less than most other big HR/Payroll companies.

Cons

I really don't have any cons other than they don't process Canadian payrolls.

Pros

I haven’t officially started using isolved yet, but I felt compelled to leave a review after my experience today. I own a recruiting company and have spent months searching for an ATS that truly aligns with the way we operate. Unfortunately, I previously invested in another platform that made big promises, but underdelivered and misrepresented their capabilities—leaving me frustrated and out thousands of dollars. Today, I had a meeting with \[sensitive content hidden\] from isolved, and all I can say is… what a breath of fresh air. They were incredibly knowledgeable, transparent, and actually listened to what I needed. They walked me through everything clearly, didn’t overpromise, and it finally felt like I found a team that genuinely understands recruiting operations. Huge shoutout to \[sensitive content hidden\] l—I’m so impressed already and can’t wait to get started. If you’re in the recruiting space and looking for a real solution, definitely give them a call.

We have had this system since sometime in 2020. We dove in with both feet with payroll and almost every one of Isolved's add on software. There was little to NO support for implementation on the HRIS side. Over 4 years in and we still are not 100% utilizing what we pay for. Currently vetting other HRIS software. Sad that we have to start over, but too tired to keep beating our heads against the wall.

Pros

Thought having a "one stop shop" would streamline our very small HR department.

Cons

pretty much everything. Steep learning curve on the HRIS side, almost impossible to get a SME that understand the uniqueness of our City. Almost every module has to have a work around to get it to function for our needs. Not user Friendly unless you have an IT background

Pros

Ease of use across all customizable features of software. From onboarding the employee to offboarding, the employee and client user experience is easy and user friendly for both.

Cons

No issues to date that have come across my desk with any of my clients. I have not received any client complainants to date.

### "Convoluted On Boarding and Unhelpful Customer Service"

Pros

There is nothing about this process or company that I like.

Cons

iSolved is the direct deposit provider for Sage 50 accounting software. The process requires you to fill out an application which has all the business’ info and owners’ info along with a contact. In addition to that, they further require a letter from the client's bank which includes their routing, account number, EIN, name, address, etc. But that is not the worst part, they also need to be able to call the person that signs the letter to verify that the information on the letter is accurate. What is the point of getting a letter signed on the bank’s letterhead? Now, this has been fine with most of my clients but anyone that uses TD Bank will be completely unable to finish this application as TD doesn’t process these letters at the local branches. They are sent out of the corporate offices, and outsiders are unable to contact the signer to verify the contents of the letters. What is not stated anywhere in the application or documentation is that this is a credit application for the business. So, you would think that this is an application for credit that if there were no funds in the account when the direct deposit is run that they would pay that week's payroll, but it does not. From the Terms and Conditions: “(i) In the event of Employer has insufficient funds available for any payment obligation under this Agreement and isolved receives an NSF, isolved is authorized to send a reversal file (“Reversal”) to one or more of the Payee Accounts or other payees that were paid by isolved in connection with such NSF. Furthermore, Employer agrees to fully reimburse isolved within 48 hours for any non-recovered funds from such Reversal. After Employer pays the unrecovered amounts, iSolved will endeavor in good faith to recover the funds and, upon recovery of funds, if any, isolved will distribute those funds to Employer. Employer may not make any claim for reimbursement of unrecovered funds related to any Reversal from isolved.” If you are applying for credit; why are they going to immediately reverse the direct deposit for an NSF? What is the point of this whole application if not to at least process the payroll? Compare this to QuickBooks, which can be set up by simply logging into the client's bank site through Plaid, taking a grand total of 30 seconds. QuickBooks has tons of flaws, and I do not recommend them, but this is one thing that they get right while iSolved has made the process a convoluted waste of time. Finally, the customer service representatives are oddly robotic and almost seem to be an AI chatbot. They aren’t sympathetic to the plight clients have when trying to complete this arduous process and basically tell you “tough” when you can’t jump through all of these unnecessary hoops.

### "Lots of Hidden fees, No customer service "

lots of hidden Fees, No customer service, lots of mistakes in withdraws that you have to find and try to get back (good Luck talking to someone ) After trying to resolve the issue and not being able to talk to anyone . I left . then an extra $600 dollars was taken from our account as a leaving fee !

Pros

There system is an on line system not different from other vendors, nothing special

Cons

They make mistakes in the fund they withdraw (never in your favor) you have to catch it to get the funds back. There is NO customer service, Nobody to talk to. Q help. Lost of hidden fees

I gave isolved a three rating. The payroll process is streamlined and customer service is helpful. However, the tax department withheld unemployment tax but failed to pay the state. Each time I attempted to resolve they offered a different reason but a year later, the issue still has not been resolved.

Pros

The customer service for the payroll solutions is prompt and provides great customer service.. Reports are easy to run

Cons

The tax withholding division failed to pay my unemployment taxes properly and it has taken over a year to resolve, costing my company several thousand dollars of lost revenue. The PTO balances only update once payroll is processed so staff may take too much without knowing they did not have any PTO left.

clunky. I felt like the account reps are switched a lot. As soon as you ask for something you get a new rep and the new rep knows even less and has less feedback for improving the job listing than the previous rep. Might as well just use AI yourself.

Pros

They post to a bunch of different sites to get candidates. I did hire two techs from the resumes they produced but had more and better luck on my own.

Cons

The billing is confusing. I wanted to start an ad and they started billing me as soon as I emailed saying I wanted to start even though it took 12 days for the ad to go live. A good chunk of that time I was waiting for the company to respond. That doesn't seem right to me. Of the techs I have hired, I have had more luck from my own job ad on a job board I posted using AI....

Pros

I find it's very user friendly for both an admin and an employee and is a very comprehensive platform for all of my HRIS needs.

Cons

Getting to the right department past Tier 1 customer service has always been a challenge but iSolved has been working to improve this process.

Pros

I enjoy the community and how much they are committed to self improvement. There is also a ton of resources made available to you to help you improve professionally.

Cons

The verification processes can take a while but its understandable why that is. So I can't really say it bothers me but if I had to pick something then this would be it.

### "Happiness in a Payroll Program"

In going from an older platform to iSolved I really see how much I was struggling to get done. From finding reports to processing payroll, everything is so simple. And the ability to search for the section I am needing or review the section in the University has been incredible!

Pros

The easy access to just about any piece of information I am looking for. From the client tax status, to their TOA policy, to locating individual Employee information. Everything is located right where you would expect it to be and not hiding in some random section.

Cons

For me, it would be nice to be able to put a note on the individual employee on the payroll processing screen. For example, if a different rep needs to step in due to an absence or what have you, and you needed to make a withholding correction or some other change, it would be nice to have a flag for the processing rep to see and note the change so it is not missed.

Since our organization on has client-level access, I don't feel I can fairly speak to the full range of functions isolved provides. However, I do not have a favorable impression based on our experiences.

Pros

Our third-party payroll company uses isolved and we have access to an isolved dashboard for clients, which has limited functionality. We are restricted to at-a-glance demographics and reporting. The reporting seems fairly robust.

Cons

In our experience, isolved is not particularly user friendly. The dashboard design is not very intuitive. I often have to click in unexpected places to navigate to different site areas to perform the functions I want. Moreover, employees have reported high levels frustration in locating basic payroll information. There are multiple portals and it is not always clear which end-users need to use.

Overall I would highly recommend iSolved for payroll. I know they offer HR services and 401k services as well.

Pros

I love iSolved because it is easy to use and easy to teach my clients to use, even if they aren't the most tech-confident people.

Cons

Sometimes making edits on the time cards can be a little finnicky but I can usually find a work-around.

Cons

The new look option has many options missing that you need to switch to the classic view for. The security code almost every time you log in is also just a small annoyance.
